    I am glad he called the GOP out on their hostility to eveything he says and does even if they supported it

    He has accomplished so much, and remains stead fast in his goal of doing what we asked of him back on that cold Nov day. Lesser men would have crumbled under the magnitude of special interests he finds himself up against. He remains untethered.

    Kelly, how right you are. We’ve got to continue to support him as he tries to bring our country back from the damage inflicted on us by the republicans.

    They have talked about him like a dog. They have called this President everything but a child of God. We love and support you Mr. Prez.

    I do not want to vilify all Republicans. I do not take issue with people who do not agree with the president’s policies. A spirited policy debate is healthy and appropriate for a representative democracy. What I find appalling and infuriating is the fact that the radical right does not feel compelled to respect the President of The United States, which was the legitimate and overwhelming choice of the American electorate, it’s simply preposterous. This goes for the old Civil Rights Guard as well. For the Republicans, even some of their proffered leadership, to associate themselves with the Tea-Baggers who have signs that are hateful, neurotic, and spread all manner of venom. When you come to the table denigrating President Obama, you have already turned me off. No one seems capable of out-intellectualizing him so they stand in a group like bullies on a playground and throw rocks and chant obscenities, it’s exhausting to say the least, and sad that our politics has devolved on such a grand scale – it’s a public spectacle-to say the most.

    President Obama has had to contend with not just a hostile and hateful republican opposition, but also a very destructive group of so-called “progressives” on the left who have done more than their own fair share of damage.

    So the President hasn’t in less than 2 years delivered on every single dream and in exactly the preferred manner and order of importance for the various whiny stakeholders and suddenly he’s a failure and must be viciously and publicly flogged and humiliated.

    While the repubs have effectively used their very extensive and far reaching media outlets and personalities to convince and misinform a large segment of our unfortunately undereducated and under-informed citizenry, getting them to vote against their best interests, all the leftys in the media have done is pile on, attacking and excoriating the President.

    They fail to understand that in diminishing the President they do their various causes no good, for the President is only as effective as the support he has to move their various agendas along.

    I often wonder if so-called progressives in the media don’t understand that they have a distinct and separate role apart and different, to play in positively driving theirs and the President’s agenda (and no, it’s not what they’ve been doing!)…?

    They would have been better served and so much more productive and effective if instead of their endless whining and bashing of President Obama, they had channeled that energy towards re-educating Americans; reminding the masses how and who got them in this terrible situation in the first place and how long it was going to take to get us out of it.

    They could have as media personalities, helped keep the public focused but tempered on the expectations and realities of the President’s valiant efforts with regard to our economic recovery and the time it would take to turn things around after the damage done by the previous administration..

    But they did not and still do not because it is so much easier to blame President Obama for their own failure at failing to effectively do their part as progressives in the media.

    If they had done their part, 70% of a very misinformed America would not be against the various progressive causes they desperately want President Obama to push.

    And please, enough of that lame and bogus bully pulpit meme;

    The message from that pulpit can only be carried as far as those who have a vested interest in either killing it or supporting it want it to go;

    And as brilliant, hardworking and furiously multi-tasking as this President is, he is not God. And try as he may, he does not possess supernatural powers and he is not omnipresent.

    And when he asked us to hold his feet to the fire, he certainly did not mean denigrate, diminish and disrespect him…
