I love this picture. One thing we know about our commander and chief. Like them or love them. He will fire someone for being a jackass in a heartbeat. Think, commanders of Afghanistan and the Navy Ship.
Your post reminded me of the XO of the U.S.S. Enterprise who was permanently relieved of command by the Navy today. He had the habit of producing and showing videos to the sailors that contained examples of gay bashing and other despicable types of behavior. The ship is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in 2 weeks, but XO Honors will not be in command, or on board. I think the repeal of DADT will be a good thing, especially if it helps to weed out people like Honors. I watched one of the videos he made, and he came across as very arrogant by saying that the sailors who objected to the videos were too timid to state their opposition to his face. He must be so full of himself that he can’t realize that the sailors know they’d be ostracized if they said anything to him directly. A VA newspaper that broke the store reported that when he was questioned about the videos, he said, “That’s the way I roll.” Well, now he can watch the U.S.S. Enterprise as it rolls over the waves on its way to Afghanistan without him in command, leaving him in VA to discuss this matter with his superiors. He destroyed his career because of his immaturity, and if he wants to get a better understanding of how he did it, he can watch the videos he produced.
Hey Chipsticks & everyone else! So good to see they all made it back ok. That press guy in one of those pictures tickle me with his straw fedora on onboard AF1. He went native in Hawaii I guess…bet that cold air was shocking. Too funny. I think it’s a fedora…..
Ok – It’s on!
I hope he had his jacket buttoned correctly for this pic. *S* By the time he got off the copter at home, it was buttoned hinky.
Love my Air Force men and women!
