Don’t forget Robert Gibbs’ last press briefing today at 12:15 PM EST – the President might make an appearance
Catch up with you all later
When I really miss Gibbs I will go to cspan and watch an old clip of him in the peanut gallery. It’s Howdy Doody time.
congratulations Egyptian people and thank you President Obama for that speech in Cairo :D :D :D :D
That man, who goes by the name PBO is remarkable. His sensitivity to other cultures and understanding of them is what makes him truly unique. Who else, could have ever delivered such a eloquent statement that encompassed history, cultures, revolutions, and statement of hope and the future.
His statement made the revolution and its first step toward change sound as monumental. It is. We are sooooo lucky to have this man.
POWERFUL SPEECH Mr. President :D

Yes, it was very powerful. I was giving Tucker a bath and stopped dead in my tracks to listen. That’s the second time a speech of his has done that to me: first was his DNC address in Boston in 2004 (I was cooking and stopped what I was doing – pot in hand. LOL).
thank you Robert Gibbs and see you very soon :D

I can’t stop crying … this is a just beyond wonderful! MSNBC Tamara Hall interviews a former parliament member in Egypt, Moustafa El Gindy:
So heartfelt…..I am moved, as well, to tears. May Peace and Democracy reign for Egypt and the world.
I saw it too. I have been sending it everywhere. I cried too.
Did you watch the Obama’s response speech on msnbc? I am furious. They split the screen when Obama was talking with a live camera from Cairo. The Cairo screen was bigger than Obama’s screen. Plus, they actually had the sound on from Cairo while the president was talking. No quite as loud as PBO, but it really was a stinky thing to do. I am going to write them a letter. It was completely inappropriate. I felt humiliated. It would be something that Fauxsnooze would do.
Will any of you join me. MSNBC, of all stations.
I was listening and I cried too! I remember telling Tucker, Moustafa better stop or I’ll start crying. OMG! He was so overwhelmed and his statements were overwhelming. I’m so happy for Egypt.
Incase you didn’t se President Obama bidding farewell to Gibbs. Here’s a link to some video:
And here’s some of the video on YouTube:
I am so happy for the Egyptian people and very proud of the way President Obama handle this diplomatically. When a reporter on CNN asked an Egyptian celebrating how that felt about America and President Obama he said we love America and President Obama and that President Obama was a good man. Also in other good news for the President in polling done for the Presidential election in 2012 President Obama beats all GOP frontrunners. That includes Romney, Gingrich and Huckabee http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0211/49348.html
I think some Americans are only now beginning to notice that PBO works everyday to make their lives better, and that he is nothing like what the right has been saying about him for the last 2 + years. I think that as they are being presented with more opportunities to see him in action and compare him to GWB and the republicans, they are seeing what we’ve been seeing since he declared his candidacy for the presidency–a mature, highly intelligent, honest, pragmatic, people-loving individual not given to making rash, or rushed, decisions on important issues. PBO is changing hearts and minds in America and around the world. I also believe that if the republicans continue to ignore the citizens’ desire for them to take steps that create/preserve jobs, the contrast between them and PBO will become more clear to millions of Americans who will remember it when they vote in 2012.
“and that he is nothing like what the right has been saying about him for the last 2 + years.”
You’re so right, and this is exactly what President Obama referred to in the O’Reilly Superbowl interview as the “funhouse mirror image” that people are given.
Let this be a warning to the GOP and their tricky MSM proponents, that if they try anything underhanded in the 2012 elections, the people of America will REVOLT in a similar way as the people of Egypt.
