Now, this is more like it – fighting back with plain old facts, truth and information. You gotta love David Plouffe

More of this, please. Look at this from today:
…..It appears the administration’s communication problems are far from solved. At a small business breakout session with SBA Administrator Karen Mills, one small-business owner had no idea that President Obama had changed his tax policy to encourage investment in small businesses.
Phillip Davis spoke up about his microwave business’s difficulty gaining “access to capital” and asked for small business investment to be exempt from capital gains taxes.
There was only one small problem with that suggestion.
“That is such a good idea, we implemented it last year,” Obama said, smiling.

Damn shame. Have these people ever even heard of Whitehouse.gov or are they avoiding it on purpose. The fact that right-wing is still blasting Obama for hating small businesses and people believe it means they are not educating themselves and letting the pundits do the learning for them. We need to wake up seriously. My mom always told me the teacher can teach but she can’t learn the material for you and do your homework. We (Americans in general) need to start reading and doing our homework.
One of the main problems with the president’s policies is that so many people don’t know about them. I wonder if the WH can get a list of most small businesses in America and send them an email informing them of legislation that has been passed that can help them, or maybe spend some funds on running ads in major state newspapers to circumvent the lies that usually are included in op-eds and other articles? I don’t see why this couldn’t be done since the WH has a tech team that does email blasts every day, and most small businesses today have their own websites. I’m also sure that the DNC could allocate some money for ads of this type, or maybe even for some billboards with this information on them.
Here’s the thing. I can understand ordinary folks too lazy or disinterested to find out what their government is doing but small business owners should be on top of this stuff. Their tax accountants should be on top of this stuff. Unless he’s doing his taxes himself, which he shouldn’t.
Maybe the IRS should send this info to small businesses the same time they send out tax forms/booklets.
Actually, I can understand a small business owner being so cught up in getting the business off the ground that he/she doesn’t have time to check tax laws. Like you I think this should be the job of their tax accpountants. Of course, some may not be in a position to have/pay experienced tax accountants depending on their finances. Kudos to the President and his team for taking his research and his message out to the real players. I’m optimistic that each of these smaller sessions will pay off big time in the year and a half ahead electorally, as well as into America’s job future.
Oh good to see Kal back. I love him. Hope these are shown in other mass media areas not just White house site.
SO get this. My local news is reporting on Rush’s comment on Michelle Obama’s weight. Their angle? “we’ll look at what’s healthy and what’s not”
EXCUSE ME?! A former overweight heart attack patient who was addicted to prescription drugs and used pills to lose weight is attacking the First Lady’s weight/health initiative and your angle is to look at what’s healthy and what’s not? Yes, because that’s what Rush is concerned about.
If they really wanted to report on this with facts – they would tell about the restaurant she went to and the truth about the “ribs” she ate and the veggies she had. But of course not – they can’t cross Rush!
Trying to give a link to the truth – not sure how to link though so hope it works. Comes from the Vail Daily

‘ “It was refreshing to see how interested she really was and how passionate about the kids’ healthy lunches, as well as the movement to eat locally here in the Vail Valley,” Liken said.’
This is the part of the article that made the more important impact on me – the Obamas revealing (to those who may not have ‘met’ them yet in the last two years) who they really are one step at a time. Go away, hypocrite, Rush!
She exercises every day. Rush? Not so much.
I’m kind of glad that these losers report these partial facts in a twisted way, because when the truth comes out, it makes them look even smaller. Thanks for the article – it’s quite interesting that this was “healthy” food, and the kale and pumpkins grown by local students in their garden project. Once more, another plug for “Let’s Move”.
I’m so glad Kal is still working with our great President!!! Thank you Kal!!!
