laughing stock

Thank you Nonya for reminding me of this post from December 2009 – here’s yet another person who doesn’t remember the President from his youth in Hawaii ;-)

WZAK: A former Manoa resident sent President Barack Obama an old photo of the two of them taken while they were third-grade classmates at Noelani Elementary School, requesting an autograph more than six months ago. He recently received the autographed picture back, as well as a personally signed thank-you note.

Scott Inoue, now a chiropractor in Stockton, Calif., said the small, black-and-white photo had been stashed away for almost 40 years at his childhood home in Manoa. For some reason, Inoue said, as he was growing up he always remembered that photo and wondered what became of “Barry”.

“Part of the beauty of me.. is that I’m rich”. Donald Trump

Famous last words. There is no beauty in you Mr. Trump.. money don’t cover for ugly.. and your insides are decidedly ugly imo.

And while they’re at it they should fire Palin, Bachman and all the other looneys in the GOP.

No no, we want them around. We want Trump around. We want all the looneys. I don’t want to be seeing them on main stream media but I enjoy some of their crazy percolating up from the backwater swamp media once in awhile.

I suppose the Looney Tunes offer a bright contrast between what is normal and what is extreme. I just think the human capacity for deceit and manipulation is so disheartening, which all 3 of these people represent IMO. IMO, Sarah Palin needs to go….preferably to jail. Michelle Bachmann needs to be voted out of the House, relocate to a more extreme area of the country…..Minnesota does not deserve her stain. Trump, his next bankruptcy needs to DENIED. He serves as a consistent reminder that money can’t buy class or respect….arrogant, pompous piece of scat.

Fred, hope things are going OK.

Much as I detest the self-centeredness that Donald Trump models for us as human beings, he has actually done one of my jobs for me (as a supporter of the President and our common goals), making the birther controversy seem like an act of slander or bearing false witness at worst and the act of a fool at best.

    • March 31, 2011 at 11:47 am

Completely agree cuphalffull, I really believe he has made the birthers an even bigger laughing stock than they already were – the guy is just being ridiculed everywhere now. Of course there are still plenty of creatures who believe this stuff, and would have done so with or without Trump’s intervention, but I had a good laugh yesterday when I lurked at a wingnut site – they were all fighting over whether Trump had, err, discredited the birther movement with his crap. The fact that they were fighting over it meant the answer was: yes. ;-)

Really, Chipsticks! Fighting over whether the chump had discredited the bither movement? For really???? Guys these bloody haters are completely nuts. Period. What can i say other than just shake my head in utter disbelief.

        • March 31, 2011 at 12:15 pm

Really, Asher!! Some of they were claiming that it’s all a clever plot by the GOP and Trump, that he’ll keep raising the birther issue to keep it in the news while the likes of Pawlenty keep their distance. That actually makes some sense to me. But others were arguing that because Trump is such a fool and so disliked he’s only damaging birtherism – you couldn’t make it up!! These people are …. no, no, I won’t say … I’m trying to clean up my language.

So glad to hear that. You are a braver soul than I am checking on the conversation going on on the far right. I was thinking that on The Only Adult in the Room there is a clip of Lawrence O’Donnell discussing Eric Cantor’s misunderstanding or disregard of how a bill is made into a law. If only Cantor has done another job for me (and the like-minded). I detested the reading of the Constitution in Congress in a way that was meant as pure disrespect for Democrats, (not to mention leaving out parts that were “inconvenient”) as well as the Tea Party/GOP habit of referring to the Founding Fathers in a way that reeks of fetish. I hope Cantor’s incompetence or disregard for our form of government, whichever it is, helps to clear up who has a handle on constitutional law and process. That would be the President. The filibuster was abused by the GOP but it wasn’t disregarded by the Democrats just because they couldn’t get their bills past it.

    • March 31, 2011 at 12:47 pm

I can’t figure out if he’s just dog whistling, tone deaf, attention starved, really believes it or all of the above. In whatever case he just did Obama a huge favor and part of me is wondering if it was on purpose. Trump and his ego are inseparable but even he had to know how ridiculous the whole thing would sound. Though with the Donald it’s always touch and go.

I wanted her to say Mr. Chump so badly. And dear CNN don’t think I have forgotten your huge contribution to the Birther meme. Back when I use to watch corporate news I remember almost nightly this very big headed old white male pundit (don’t remember his name) was pushing that propaganda on behalf of the birthers,GOP teabaggers like it was truth. Another reason I hate corporate news.

      March 31, 2011 at 12:13 pm

That might have been Lou Dobbs, when he was still welcome at CNN. Before they replaced him with an even more odious bigot.

      • March 31, 2011 at 12:50 pm

BTW whatever happened to Dobbs? Wasn’t he supposed to be going to FOX News?

He is there now, has the 6 O’clock show on Fox Business Channel. That’s why you have not heard from him..nobody watches that channel.

He’s still out there. I think he’s working behind the scenes on some internet radio, where he can spout his racist nonsense without censorship or oversight. I’m not sure if he ever made it to Fox.

He got called out by The Nation for hiring illegals to work on his horse farm last fall…..O’Donnell had him on with the investigative reporter that broke the story. He had egg all over his face. That was about the time I just quit all MSM, and alot of internet media. I couldn’t take the constant drum beat of controversy and the disconnect that I was witnessing between what this administration was doing and what MSM was electing to promote.

I understand that he is now working for Fox Lies. Sadly that seems like a perfect fit.

You have me almost rolling on the floor with laughter, Kelly! I love this description of Lou Dobbs!

“this very big headed old white male pundit (don’t remember his name) was pushing that propaganda on behalf of the birthers,GOP teabaggers like it was truth.”

      • March 31, 2011 at 1:35 pm

“this very big headed old white male pundit (don’t remember his name)”

That’s the politest description I’ve ever heard for Dobbs!!!!

Kelly, you are so right. CNN was awful. Rode that story for high ratings. On this news clip, the woman on the left brings up the subject of unanswered questions about Obama having an unknown sister? Things were going so well, and then they fell back into their fool roles.

Part of the beauty of me is I’m rich. What a statement! I think it’s being shown you’re a liar to Mr. Trump, a rich liar although. Listen to Trump if you can stand it, when he talk it is all about him, how great he is, what he can do, how unforgettable he is. Just because you have money doesn’t mean you can’t be a jackass. I say Donald Trump, I’m going to kick your rich butt to the curve!!!

    March 31, 2011 at 12:09 pm

And dont forget that, Trump is over exaggerating his networth. And I am sure that now that he has put himself out there as a hater, liar and bither, people are combing through his finances and as it has been rumored before, he isnt as rich as he states. What a jackass. That is why I was pooling for Rosie when he went after this creature.

Someone needs to calculate how much his many bankruptcies have cost his creditors. That might help us to understand the real damage this man has caused in the world. I heard someone the other day praising how he has made the bankruptcy code work for him, and be a profitable tool. Really?

    • 27 cuphalffull

Oh noes, the Pres support among the youth is collapsing- maybe not. 55 of 18-29, 60% of college students, approve. Up 6 points from October, according to Harvard poll.
But as usual Politrash starts with, ” Even as President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating tumbled in recent weeks”

This really is getting old, and also a bit boring.

I have had more exciting Physics teachers. The guy’s idea of an impassioned speech is to yell. The GOP’s presidential bench is about a mile wide and an inch deep, and I’m just talking Chumps’ hairpiece.LOL

Pawlenty must be hiding his “hip” in his back pocket. They do not come more boring than him. He’s no fan of public education. All these ass hats care about is corporate coffers. I am not particularily materialistic, so maybe I’m off base….but I value lots of things in life over and above money. I see money as a confidence game of sorts…a con game. Arbitrary value determined by sources outside of ourselves.

I really sometimes wonder why Oprah invited Governor quitter on her show twice and promoted her and her book which was full of hatred and now she wants Chumpster to go on her show so she can shave his head live on TV.

        March 31, 2011 at 4:02 pm

Proud, I questioned it myself. I really mellowed when I saw one of her last shows. The cast of morning joe flew out to Chicago to interview her. She was zealous about her love for Obama, and spoke about what a fabulous job PBO has done. She made it clear that she has been cut to the bone by the way Obama has been treated since his election.

        March 31, 2011 at 5:19 pm

I never liked that Oprah has been labeled King Maker for PBO. I disagree with that completely.

Oprah is a business woman, despite the many wonderful things she has done, her bottom line in self-promotion and dollars and cents. I think my expectations of her have been unfairly high, because I favor her philanthropic efforts over her entertainment value….and I lost interest in the later. She’s quite a success story, I respect her despite no longer following her show or magazine.

      I agree, Me4Obama.

But, she has her own channel for a reason. And, you do know the deal….

      Ratings, Ratings, Ratings

      money, Money, MONEY!!!!!!!

  10. March 31, 2011 at 12:54 pm

May I also add my surprise that this clip was from CNN? Perhaps because Trump is a “Republican Outsider” and the neocons don’t want him in their club?

    • March 31, 2011 at 1:10 pm

That’s true, Jackie. I’ve noted – with a smile – that even Politico has been ridiculing Trump too, sounds like they don’t want their beloved GOP establishment disturbed. Still, though, I liked the comment from Suzanne Malveaux at the end when she dismissed Trump’s idiocy by talking about the documentary she did on the President in Hawaii, when she met people who knew him as a kid.

Thanks for reminding me of that pic, Nonya.

I just looooove this part of the post!

“For some reason, Inoue said, as he was growing up he always remembered that photo and wondered what became of “Barry.”

Barack “Barry” Obama “became” the POTUS!!

I thought it was so nice of PBO to sign the pic and send a little note back with it when his 3rd Grade pal sent it to the WH! It is so typical of PBO to take a little time and do something like this!
