Georgetown University, March 31
That would be me screaming my head off too. And if I met him in person, I’d pass out. LOL.
You and me both!
Hachiko, he’ld catch you. Maybe fainting would be a good tactic, then like Sarah Silverman, when he caught you, you’ld get to feel the thoroughbred :D
The excitement these kids are expressing is contagious! Sharing their experience, I feel almost as giddy.
Hope your OFA interview went well!
that was funny. They were so excited lol.
I am young at heart and love my president too and god knows I push for people to know what he (President Obama) has/is doing for the progress in our country. My Obama/Biden magnet in “glued” to my car(s)!
LOL!!! I love it!!! I love the excitement and enthusiasm in the voice of the girl taping!!!
Ha ha! I love the sound of the girl screaming! It was like that when he came here for the Health Care event at the Target center. The crowd was doing the wave and the atmosphere was so electric!
I know he’s the president but you have to admit, he’s also a superstar!
I wish I could get that excited just to see his limo drive by….and I’m a huge Obama fan. It would take more than that.
I probably would have enough excitement to cover Fred’s lack of excitement… :D
I’m in your camp. There’ld be no shortage of excitement on my end.
I’ll extend that list. I have seen him twice, but truth be known, I do not think it would ever be enough. My big dream is that I could get a hug from him.
I got choked up watching that video. Her enthusiasm really is contagious! :)
That was fun to watch. I too would be screaming with excitement at the top of my lungs.
There is no doubt I would be excited if I were to see the President motorcade come by, but I know I wouldn’t be able to scream like that young lady. I would try to act cool, but deep down I would be excited. And that’s only if I were to see the motorcade. Now off bets are off if I were to meet the President and First Lady. Cool would be out the window, I would be grinning from ear to ear. I would like to think I wouldn’t make a fool out of myself. But maybe one day I will get the chance to see exactly how I would act.
I meant to say all bets are off.
I love videos like this! The excitement is so genuine and infectious. That is some wonderful entourage!!!!
I love to see the young and old get this excited when their President passes them. This fills my heart, and I am sure it fills his heart also. With all of the negatives being spoken about him, it must really make him smile with happiness to see the young college kids who really get this President. It is about your future. Thanks Chipsticks.
During the healthcare “debate,” the President held a meeting at Children’s Hospital and drove past my business on his way back. A few of us were in here and went to the window to watch the motorcade go past. Funny, we could tell who he was by those ears! The Queen of England also passed by a few years back. She was headed to a tea at that same hospital.
Back to the video: poor Billy to be told it was not a good time to talk!
Yep that would be me, shaky camera and all
Well, call me a saddo but I have every intention of seeing the President or the First Lady when they arrive here in May. I love them and absolutely everything they stand for. I wish my parents lived to see this day come to pass.
I, too, wish my parents had lived to see America elect it’s first black president. They would have been over the moon. My dad used to participate in civil rights movements here in GA when I was growing up. I know they would find it hard to believe that we would elect Barack Obama as POTUS when only a few decades in the past, we lived in a segregated America.
@ majii – I did not think that it was possible. I would never have thought that a black family would be in the White House today. I stayed up all night until the results came in at about 3.30am because if history was going to be made then I wanted to witness it as it happened. I remember sitting there in stunned silence. Even when I managed to rouse myself to bed, I woke up the next morning and rushed to switch on the t.v. Did I dream it, I thought or did it really happen. IT REALLY HAPPENED.
May God continue to bless the Obama’s.
That was so sweet;I hope they got to see more than just a glimpse of a motorcade.
