Bill Maher has his moments when he is brilliant, and this was one of those times—-every sentence a gem. I noticed the audience was in joyful agreement of everything he said also.

Actually, I had to stop watching bill about a year ago. Everything the president did was not good enough. Remember the pink tutu and gangsta with a gun?

Perhaps Bill is beginning to pull back on his criticism of Obama. It is important that those who have a microphone start attacking the right, not Obama. Bill clearly understands that Obama is miles a head of those losers trying to take his position.

That is why Jon Stewart concerns me–young people respect him so much–and he has been a skunk when it comes to the president. Wake up Jon. I suspect the best we will get from Jon is, PBO has not really done much, but hold your nose and vote for him.

I am getting to the point that I am now telling people who complain that I do not care if they have to hold their nose to reelect PBO, as long as they vote. The purists will never be happy, but they do need to vote.

OH, and a lovely morning to all including the fabulous Ms. Chipstick.

Good morning Chips, how are you doing :-)
This Is a good Video, IMO. I really enjoyed Bill and Dave, they were factual, but humorous. I like their comments on Chump, and Palin. But, I’m so sure Chump will be coming after them, for their sarcasm, hehehe. Poor Chump spends most of his time defending, and belittle-ing EVERYONE, that dissagrees with him. Really, can anybody picture him as President of ANYTHING? He’s a Bully, he should have grown up, much long ago, for his age, like REALLY! He has a BIG PROBLEM, and everybody can see It.

You’re right Luci. Trump is now “firing back at Robert De Niro” for his criticism of the birther issue.

      http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=643030&gt1=28103

Do we want a President who spends all of his time and tax payer dollars “firing back” at every Tom, Harry or Sally who criticizes him?

Trump has very thin skin. He wouldn’t last a week on the campaign trail. Such a weak soul/ego development. In contrast, our President has been called every name in the book all his life and he dusts it off and looks ahead and LEADS.

        April 26, 2011 at 9:59 am

And since the media kinda fired back at the ridiculousness of his birther campaign, he’s now moved on to disparaging Obama’s academic record, saying his grades were “terrible” and he was a “terrible” student, that he should have never been allowed admittance to Harvard, firing up the affirmative action appeal, disgustingly. Trump always ignores truth and reality in his bloviating however. This time he’s managing to ignore the fact that Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard law, that there is blind grading of tests there, the professors do not know whose papers they’re grading. And as someone noted, Harvard Law is just a tad competitive, and Obama rose to the top and named editor of the Law Review while he was there being a “terrible” student. Trump’s time is up, isn’t it??? He’s gross.

          April 26, 2011 at 11:17 am

Trump has backed himself in corner with the birther nonsense because he is now unable to produce any reports from his so-called “investigators” in Hawaii who supposedly went there to check out the “true” birthplace of Barack Obama. So now he has to change the topic.

Hey Mr. Chump, we’re still waiting on your report from your “investigators.” We will not let this go until we get that report. If you cannot produce a credible report then NONE of what you say or do regarding President Obama is worth a thought.

Already NONE of what he says about the President is worth a thought, credible report or no.

Luci1119….Sometime Bill Maher and I disagree, but on Letterman he was right on about Trump and Palin. I expect Maher will be hearing from the racists bully Donald Trump. But I don’t think Maher is afraid of Trump.

Omg I love Bill Maher, I love David letterman, this is the best comedy/facts I have seen in a long time. Jon Sterwart should take a page from Maher, and stop pretending to be Fair and balanced. Morning O family.

I had given up on Maher after that stupid Sugg Knight comment, but he may be trying to come back from the edge. This was brilliant, what you usually expect from Maher.

    Laughing. My. Ass. Off.

That was brilliant. Every sentence was packed with delicious tidbits of truth sprinkled with the perfect amount of sarcasm. Leave it to the comedians and jesters to make it plain. They made Sarah Palin a laughingstock, and are doing the same with Chump. His takedown of the teabaggers was yummy, too.

    Thank You!

dotster….I heard what Trump said about President Obama being a terrible student. He said he don’t know how Obama got into those schools. Trying to imply that it must have been affirmative action. This President worked hard to get where he is at, he didn’t have daddy’s money to buy his way up the ladder.

    • 19 hopefruit2
      April 26, 2011 at 11:21 am

Will the MSM hold Chump accountable and demand that he produce the birth reports that he promised from his “investigators” in Hawaii or will they jump on his affirmative action bandwagon? And while they’re on the affirmative action wagon, will they demand that Chump reveal HIS own grades from elementary thru college, as well as the exact dollar amounts he received from his own trust fund affirmative action passed down from his rich relatives?

I still can’t stand Bill Maher. He holds some seriously sexiest and racist views. If he was a Conservative with an R next to hia name liberals would be crying foul at some of his comments. He has his moments but this doesn’t make up for what he says the other 90% of the time.

      April 26, 2011 at 1:04 pm

I agree with you, Jessica. He’s scum, with a few moments of hilarity. I can’t forgive what he’s said in the past about President Obama, and I don’t usually like his humour – it’s just mean.

Maher has been supportive of the President, at times. He’s too crass for my taste. I think there is alot of tasteless, pointless, and unfunny commentary that is promoted as comedy nowdays. Jon Stewart was often painfully not funny to me, unlike Stephen Colbert who truly possesses IMO, the genius of wit.

Maher may have tempered his response in Letterman’s company. I believe Dave Letterman really respects and supports our President. I think we give to much credence to “celebrity authorities”, even if they are smart and astute observers, they remain arm chair quarterbacks, they have the luxury of screaming from the sidelines and the gift of hindsight.

Simply superb. At times Maher pisses me off, but this time he came thru and was spot on , on racist Chump, palin and the baggers. I too, will never give them the satisfaction of calling them, teapartiers. I will also call them by their well fitting name, TEABAGGERS.

While you people are busy kissing Maher’s ass I can guarantee you he will find some reason to critisize the Prez tomorrow or next week. He is no better than any of the other talking heads out there. The formula is alternate between critisizing the Prez and critisizing the other side. Rinse, repeat. That is what Jon Stewart does. That is what Paul Krugman does.

    • April 26, 2011 at 12:08 pm

Hold it: Nobody’s kissing Maher’s ass, Fred, I don’t think anyone here is unaware of comments he’s made about the President. If you choose never to listen to him again then that’s fine, that’s your choice, but that doesn’t mean this interview with Letterman wasn’t terrific.

    • April 26, 2011 at 12:57 pm

Fred, I am totally with you. Maher is a snake. Point. End of discussion.

      • April 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm

        “End of discussion.”

I used to tune in to Bill Maher quite often in the late 90s, but I’ve boycotted him since the election of 2000. I remember seeing his show one night when he said it was okay to vote Independent instead of for Al Gore even if that would put the Shrub in the White House. He said the US has a strong constitution and it could survive having GW as President. Didn’t that turned out well!

MAHER IS NOT ONE OF MY FAVORITES JUST BECAUSE HE HAS SPENT SOME TIME KNOCKING OUR PRESIDENT. HOWEVER…HIS DESCRIPTION OF THE GOP ‘NOTHING’ CANDIDATES IS RIGHT ON! EVERY TIME THE GOP BRINGS OUT ANOTHER POSSIBLE ADDITION TO ITS ‘PULPIT PLATOON’…I RENEW MY YEARLY MEMBERSHIP TO THE ‘ZOO!’ GO OBAMA 2012!

I am no fan of Bill Maher but I will take the few positive gems he chooses to through out. This clip was great. If someone doubting our President heard this interview and came over to our side, that’s great.

I thought it was a great interview. So many in the MSM have said things that have ticked me off. But this was exactly how I feel about Chump, the 1/2 termer, and the teabaggers! I’m sure there will be times when the extreme left gets on my nerves too. (MSNBC already has…I watch less, but go back occasionally) I suppose these days, I take it one interview at a time.
