I agree! Loooooove every photo and caption!
HEY CHIPSTICKS, you forgot thumb wrestling. I know you have wrestling, but thumb wrestling is a sport that has been around for God knows how long (because I have no idea) and must be mentioned.
Obama the Nerd…Game on!!!!
Now Chips you have totally redeemed yourself from that last horror of a thread on salamander Newt in a mankini.
These are simply drool-worthy. This President is smoking hot. No debate!!
So you won’t sue me?
No, I forgive you.
Hahaha. Just saw the new update Chips. “Left-Leaning (A Popular Sport in Communist Europe)….

CHIP YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the First pic is my all time favorite, but today there are some that I have never seen, what joy.
Girl you made my day :-):-)
My President is YUMMA!!!
What a cool post! I enjoyed every pic. He is such an active president, no wonder he is so fit.
I’m new to commenting here, but I’ve been a fan of your work and delightful sense of humor (as this post demonstrates) for some time.
I love coming here because (just as I feel after listening to our President) I always come away feeling inspired and uplifted. I’m almost 60, and I wondered if I would ever feel about a commander in chief the way my folks would talk about FDR or JFK. Well, now I’m blessed to say the time has come. This may sound silly, but I always think of President Obama as MY President, a leader who exhibits such grace under pressure in dealing with adversity.
Thank you, Chipsticks, for this wonderful website.
Welcome Brian. And what a thoughtful comment. PBO truly is a graceful man in every sense of the term, internally and externally. Hope you stay and post often
Hey Brian. Welcome to this wonderful site. I’m glad you’ve been checking in; looking at the posts and reading the comments. We’re always glad when one of our own leaves a comment. It makes us glad that more and more people are finding this slice of heaven. Like you, we admire OUR President and I’ve heard older people compare him to the hope, idealism and optimism of JFK and the can do attitude of FDR. I’m glad you’ve had a chance to admire and experience a leader like PBO just as your folks experienced FDR and JFK. I hope you’ll keep visiting and leave more comments. Once again, welcome Brian.
Hi Brian, thank you for such a lovely message, I’m absolutely thrilled to have you here, as I’m sure the rest of the gang will be! Really appreciate your kind words, you are so welcome here.
Hi Brian, I don’t think it sounds silly to think of the President as YOUR President. I feel the same way. What’s nice about coming here is its okay to be positive. Everyone is.
Lovely post Brian and WELCOME!
With all the negativity out there, we have someone like Chipsticks posting the positive stuff on her website. My head hurts when I speak to some co-workers or watch TV about anything politics and this is where I come to calm down knowing that this President is working his butt off for us.
Please let your family and friends know about this site and invite them. No one will be turned away (unless they are offensive). Positive/constructive comments are always welcome!
Welcome new friend, glad you are joining us. We love our President openly and confidently.
Welcome Brian, you have come to the right place take it from gray headed Texan. Who has seen them all since Truman to the present and President Obama is the best of the best, of all the Presidents before. He is the Master of our ship of State through troubled waters just hang on board and everything will be alright.
Welcome Brian! Glad you spoke up to join in the fun here!
Chipsticks this has got to be hands down one of the best posts. He really is a good sport indeed. I like the wrestling, fly swatting, ping pong, ball-potting, wave riding. Ahhhhhh… I like ‘em all.
That Quarterbacking….is just out of GQ or some magazine. I don’t doubt that this President has many and many offers from publishing agency that would love him on any cover any prints, not to mention merchandise, would make him a Billionare in no time. They all waiting in line for 2017…lol
That’s right Kasai. Everyone will want a piece of him after 2017! Even now Boehner is trying to get some Obama magic by playing golf with him. Bloomberg played golf with him the other day.
ALL THE PICS ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME….DO YOUR PUTER KEYS START TO RUST WHEN YOU DROOL ON THE ALPHABET???????? SOMEBODY PASS A MOP! CLEANUP IN AISLE…ABC!…:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
That is so funny, Sue!
LOL @ Sue
Hah, I just love the fly swatting one. Swaaaaaatt on you, Orange Man.
Oh and the high-jumping one. (And you girls know why.)
Proud Of Obama
You read my mind:-) LOL
Ooooo girl, Proud, I checked that one out several times!
Love this, and it seems to be a unanimous decision. Our all-around athlete. I kept thinking “That’s my fave!”—little Obama on the tricycle—and then “Oh no, THAT’S my fave—Barack and Bo Obama playing football–and on and on with all kinds of new faves. Lots of fun—thanks!
a minor “ommision” from the 2008 Presidential campaign that you could consider adding (i) there is is a VERY FINE photo of Candidate Obama playing billiards and hitting the ball from back – possibily with some of his college-age supporters; (ii) of course one of his less-than stellar performances at the bowling alley in Allentown Pennsylvania (if I recall correctly); (iii) and yes there are those not so fine moments in the baseball stadiums.
I have read reports that President Obama is a very good chess player (as reported from his time in Springfield Illinois. It would be nice to see such a photo because I believe he uses this technique even in politics
He also played poker when he was a state senator, I think.
Yes, and that’s how he got some of the Repubs to agree to some of his policy ideas, the respect and friendship developed around the poker table. Of course that was back in the day when there were still decent, moderate, semi-sane Republicans.
And of course there is that 3 point shot, nothing but net, when he was a candidate at the military base. Too many beautiful, remarkable moments to include.
Oh oh and the one when he made that jumpshot when playing with Reggie Love.
I loved these pictures!! I had to look through them a couple…well, three or four…Ok, I don’t know how many times to pick my favorite! And I think it’s the snow plow where he is with Sasha and Malia. I just love what a wonderful father he is. Well, and the wrestling photo is great…sigh. I’ll just have to look through them again!
LOL @ the fly swatting/backwards tennis/’don’t blink’ game! Brilliant!
Have to say, my face went ‘awww’ at the wrestling one. Can’t deny the love between those two!
@Kesai, ITA! This man will be sought after for EVERYTHING long after his 2nd term is over. It’ll be a matter of balancing it out and weighing their cons. However he plans out his life post President, I pray that he’ll continue to put his family first.
…Though I’ve never had any doubt that he will!
Sorry Chipsticks, I should have known you covered ALL the fine poses. of course my computer did not bring up the ball-potting photo until after I had compliained about its ommision
Ha, no worries Linda! As soon as I clicked ‘post’ I thought of lots more photos, so I’ll be updating for a week!
I see you slipped in “the one who wished he was the first black president”, Bill Clinton. Cute Chips.
Thank you for supporting our wonderful leader and your words of kindness.
YOU FORGOT BOWLING
I was going to ban the first person who mentioned bowling, but seeing as it’s you Halo I’ll forgive you!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Oh, Chips, you are a 100%, Grade A, purebred Obama lover. Let there be ABSOLUTELY No doubt about that!!!! Just when I think I can’t heart you anymore Ms. Chips, you blow me away
You’re too kind. You’re too kind.
Well, in any case, let’s hope he’s been practicing inside the WH and does err…a bit better next year. =)
halo, I heard they took out the bowling alley for some renovations. Don’t know if it ever made it back in…
wanna wish everyone a good afternoon;evening and night.May GOD bless;protect and guide the President.I pray he has a good weekend(well what’s left of it) and you all
Wishing you the same Fred. Have a great night.
Nite, Fred. Hope you will have a great weekend also. Hopefully, we will see you here tomorrow.
This made me laugh. It’s really cool and extra cute. Some of these photos I haven’t even seen before. NASCAR, hurtling, wresting, and snow-plunging are my favs. I say it all the time, this man is truly amazing and you have just proven me right (again).
You are the best Chipsticks. PBO is a good sport indeed. Thanks.
You are so creative Ms. Chipsticks~ Well Done
The thing I see so often in these photos Of POTUS is his obvious enjoyment of the job. We know he works hard and we know he is exceptional in not only his work ethic but his finished product but to see that he loves what he’s doing (prolly even the fly-swatting) is such a wonderment to me, it is how it ought to be. Our elected officials should LIKE serving the people of this country.
We need to continue donating to https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/TheObamaDiary to keep this great man in office!
Thank you Chips…………..!
This is so funny. Like the hudling and fly-swatting. LOL
Those photos are awesome! PBO is definately an all round sportsman! They are all so cute but I think my fav is the NASCAR one – what an inspirational father as well as President, I LOVE the way he loves his family – but then again I really love the hurdling one and .. oh what the heck, I love them all.
I like the snow ploughing because the girls are really giving it to him too cute, the high jumping because he looked so sexy in that photo all ‘booty pop’ and stuff *hides face* and the wrestling because the analogy is so funny Potus wrestling Flotus? too cute Oooh and the fly swatting because it makes me —–>
oooh, glad somebody else said it.
Wheew, so I wouldn’t have to be the first. I had a view of him from the back when he visited Germantown, a neighborhood in Philadelphia. Let’s just say that I was just as happy as the folks who saw him from the front. And I got to shake his hand. And he responded to my comments about services for children with autism. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
Michelle has a heart of gold to put up with the women who have probably gushed over him, like, forever. And he’s a good & grown man for loving our brilliant, gorgeous and sexy Michelle (and keeping her away from sleazeballs like DSK and Italy’s Berlusconi)
LOVE THEM BOTH!!!
OMG he answered a question by you, shook you hand and you got a nice view of his delicious bom-bom?!? Lucky bastard!! I always dreamt of speaking to the President, hey just seeing him in person but yes his bom is quite lovely
Fly swatting is my FAVE!!! Just wish he had a giant swatter……..oh wait, that’s what SS is for. I wish Rusty and his buddies would try PBO so he can administer his professional swatters Do you think they go ‘squish’ like a bug
Your comment made me think of when PBO caught that fly like a Jedi after an interview with a CNBC reporter. Everyone was in awe. I remember seeing the vid but don’t know if there were any still shots.
Hey Chips these are some excellent videos of Paul Ryan Ayn Rand problems. Seems he ran into some problems at the religious far right convention this weekend.
this is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I re-watched both videos three times! OH wow! I can’t wait for them both to air on tv! Oh Paulie Waulie, you should not have picked on the poor, the weak, the elderly and the disenfranchised. Money is never worth more than morality my misguided friend.
Here’s the youtube clip from the article, it was released one week ago and has had over 16,000 views:
Classic. Thanks for this Lisa and bjw2. No wonder that gutless twerp paul ryan is trying to ram mediscare down our throats. I’m sorry, but anyone who loves ayn rand’s principles, calls it a fount of morality or a foundation for their beliefs needs to go examine himself/herself. The woman is selfish. Not everyone has to believe in God or a higher power, but to denigrate those who do is unfair. She believes in only capitalism, not looking out for one another, casting the middle and working class aside. She even donated to a bunch of repubs in her time. How can one who benefited so much from America preach these principles and others follow her like blind idiots. Ewwww…. my stomach is churning in disgust. I hope the dems and others make this video viral and put it on all tv stations in all 50 states.
well, I wonder if on her day of reckoning, she still viewed God and religion as a “psychological weakness….[and] a thing of evil.” Paul Ryan is an idiot who will reap what he’s sown for all the trouble he’s caused in his time in congress.
ps- whether not not there is a God, our world’s foundation is balance. So you do unto others, so shall it be done unto you, call it karma or just universal justice or rightness.
WHAT THEY NEED TO DO IS SEND IT TO THE CHRISTIAN COALITION AND PLACES LIKE SAMARITAN’S PURSE…ALL CHRISTIAN NETWORKS…THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED. DISGUSTING INDEED!
This is my first post here, but I hope you’ll let me respond to your comment.
I think the Rev. J Cletus Kiley said it best in his invocation at the National Building Trades conference in April. He addresses the GOP and Wall St. attacks on labor.
“We will not be silent.”
Good choice Karen, Sr. – it was a magnificent prayer by Rev Kiley. Thanks for posting and please feel free to join in anytime. We are a PRO-Obama loving site.
Welcome to our wonderful family. I’m glad you discovered this website and decided to comment. This is a haven from the madness being perpetuated by the mainstream media day in day out. You are right that the good old Rev. Riley said “We Will Not Be Silent” and sites likes this that gives us info in the form of news articles, op-eds and relevant video clips and contact info for the media, let our voices be heard. I hope the video from the religious group goes viral and keeps on playing ad nauseam in Ryan’s district. That’ll teach him not to disregard the middle class and seniors who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect b/c they’re worth as much as the wealthiest 2% in the country.
So once again, welcome Karen and I hope you visit the site often, feel like a part of our family and post more comments.
Thank you. I’ve been browsing for several days and just figured out how to join in. (Duh…)
I love this site and sent a thank you to Chips for all the work here. I love the other links, too. On other sites the links are such a mixed bag that I’m sometimes sorry I ventured there.
I particularly appreciate the new media links. I think I’m fired up enough to use those a lot.
The delusion is that these people think that they are self sufficient. They are so grandiose in their thinking. They suck on the government teat as much and more than the average American or the poorest of the poor, think oil subsidies as a case in point. They have always got their hands out. Twisted thinking. And who will buy their products, or invest their monies into their ventures, or use their financial services, if they destroy the well being and the opportunities of 98% of our citizenry to support and better themselves. By brother thinks they are attempting to drag us back to a type of slavery based economy. We need to find our way to the middle of both extremes, we need balance. We are always both seperate and part of the whole. If they can not recognize social costs and benefits they should find their own island.
OT…was doing a little reading today about Roger Ailes, The Southern Strategy and Republican Strategy. Ailes, it was noted was a close and personal friend of Barbara Walters.
Explains alot, and IMO why she is always kissing Palin’s shrively ass.
This is the nail in the coffin for the Paul Ryan budget fiasco………..I wonder who will be calling him and his plan courageous after this start making the rounds. And just think all the little mental midgets voted for it…..LMAO!
I just read the article and once again thanks bjw2. I’m glad it’s not only dems who are highlighting the folly and danger of paul ryan’s mediscare plan. I’m glad the religious sect are hammering him with facts and anger. Ryan espouses the theories of ayn rand to highlight the “benefits” of his plan. This woman practiced a theory she coined “The Ethics of Selfishness.” That alone should tell anyone that if paul ryan likes her principles and praises it for championing of capitalism, selfish individualism and used it as the foundation for mediscare – he and the bill are infectious and dangerous. Thank goodness the religious group American Values Network is running this ad in ryans district. More people need to be made aware of the soul destroying parts of this bill. (which is basically every part of it)
Thanks utaustinliberal, the video of Paul Ryan being chased down by the young man trying to give him a bible is hilarious also.
At the end Ryan says I already have some bibles….I thought yea, but do you read’em.
These people seem demonic to me. I know that might be strong for some people, but they really scare me. There was a guy on Rachel last year, tlaking about the Family – the houseful of Republicans in Washington who all live together and provide “guidance” to one another on how to hide their affairs, etc. Well, there was a guy who wrote a book after living among them for a year. Among many of his observations, he said that these folks think that the teachings of Jesus were misinterpreted, and that the real teachings are about going after wealth, and not helping the poor; that those who are “chosen” are given talents to make money, and are rulers of everyone else. This video needs to go far and wide – it’s quite frightening what is fuelling the actions of these people, but it really does explain a lot about why they are such zealots for sticking it to the less fortunate and self-righteous about the “morality” of their greed. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, but these people seem to be operating in a very dark universe, with a whole different set of rules.
So right! the right wing has turned religion into a cult and are calling it the Family of which Ensign was a member and Coburn aided in heading. They are crazy, no two ways about it.
Yep theo67, after reading your post I’ve come to the conclusion that the republican party is really a cult….lol.
And no one should honor them by referring to them as Christians, they are not. They are imposters.
Sue, I love your comment. “No one should “honor” them by referring to them as Christians.” I say this daily to friends who come to me with this attitude. And I sweetly but firmly tell them, ” if your ways DO NOT square with God’s word(which they say they believe in and read daily), then you really need to examine yourselves and see if you are really in the faith.”They look at me strangly and then try to put so of their lies on the table again, and I dismiss them by reading the scriptures that show the opposite of what they are really showing others with their ugly deeds and actions. They shut up quickly.
Yes, Theo67, the young author’s names is Jeff Sharlet, ‘The Fanily.’ Excellent read
This video is brilliant LLO. I must spread it far and wide.
wow. Awesome stuff. If I had enough money I’d make this go national and paint the Republicans as a cult. Highlighting how its ‘not your grandfather’s or your father’s party’ anymore.
I love this post. Has to be my favorite thus far.
I’ve just been ooohing and ahhhing at all these wonderful pics. I love him when he is playing with Malia and Shasha and get Bo in there sometimes. He was a little guy then. How did he get so high up on the bar in the Gym? His feet are way up compared to the American Flag. Just gotta love them all. Chips you have the greatest sense of humor and know how to make all of us smile. A wonderful unique lady you are. One in a million.
Funny and cute and a little twisted (Chip’s captions).
You are on fire today, girl.
Welcome to the TOD family, Brian. I share your sentiments. There is an inter-personal quality to PBO’s presidency that was not part of previous administrations.
154 schools receive awards for healthier school contest!
Ahhhh Chipsticks, these pics with my Guinness. You are the BEST! Thanks for such a lovely Saturday with this post and even the previous one. You’re an Obama Pixie! And Brian – welcome, welcome, welcome.
June is homeownership month. Next city it will be in is Atlanta
I was out for a while and now looking at some of the comments on some of the threads.
You girls were really naughty on the “forty-foooooooooooore!” thread.
had I been here earlier I might have partaken in that naughtiness.
Reading the comments had me in stitches though.
Secretary chu keynote address-YouTube…
That link doesn’t work.
And the blogger of the year award goes to . . . Ms. Chips “never sleeps” Sticks ! ! !
Ok, I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer on this amazing post, Chipsticks,
But once again, I’m scoping out the opposition, reading about the candidates, listening to how they speak/interact with voters, and while the Muppet list is definitely dwindling to Romney, Pawlenty, Bachmann and Huntsman, I just want to again say that we definitely need to keep an eye on Huntsman. He has serious political skills (aside from the Sarah Palin faux-pas) and speaks like a moderate, which has cross-over appeal. I watched the Faith Summit for all the candidates and that guy, once he picks up campaigning, will be better than Romney or the other clowns. Remember, candidate Obama said himself that it took him a few months to get campaigning down. His AP interview is a preview of things to come.
He’s talking about serious issues and agrees with POTUS that defense cuts and taxes are on the table. He also doesn’t believe in agricultural subsidies. Republicans want to win and I think he can win the nomination by bypassing Iowa since it’s so crazy there, letting the independents in NH give him the momentum. And don’t underestimate how he looks on television. More presidential than any of the other clowns the GOP is putting up.
Bachmann is going to enter the race and either win Iowa or come in second to Pawlenty. I doubt Romney can win Iowa with the evangelical right there. He’s probably going to half-ass it anyway. Huntsman is going for the kill on Romney in NH, and then onto SC, and Florida and the rest. I think he can definitely beat Romney in NH, do well in SC, and win in Florida. But he’s got more juice than BLAH-lenty when it gets to the Super Tuesday.
POTUS’ game plan is starting up too and we’re getting a head start on the organizing! http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/05/us/politics/05obama.html?hp
Axelrod seems to be doing lots of work to lay the groundwork so POTUS can start campaigning next year. Nobody is a better political athlete than Obama and it will be fun to watch. But we’ve got to remember, if unemployment is still high, independents are going to be susceptible to the hoodwinking of the GOP. So, while we laugh at the idiots like Gingrich, Palin, Romney, Cain, even the Obama team thinks things will be much closer this time around, so we’ve got to watch out for the “real candidates” and make sure this guy, Huntsman, doesn’t win.
Hey halo, I’m with you on ALL candidates. No matter how silly or weak we may think one or all of them are, my eyes are always on the ball. Heck this country elected GW twice! The msm thinks the quitter is a pot of gold and Romney despite his abhorrent record as governor of Massachusetts (MA was 47th out of 50 states in job creation when romney was governor from 2003-2007)is still being touted as more economically proficient than PBO. I know PBO is more than capable of facing them head-on but we’ve all got to be on the look out and do everything we can to make sure PBO wins. B/c the msm sure as heck aint gonna do anything good for our guy.
In order to gain the GOP nomination, Huntsman has no choice but to swing to far right, which he has already started. So he’s going to have to engage in some serious flip-flopping to get the GOP nomination as well as to appeal to moderate Independents in the general election. For example, I think Hunstman has a bit of a problem there:
I’m not saying that we should ignore him, but I just don’t see him as that formidable an opponent. He is boring and doesn’t seem all that Presidential. There is a reason that the media is still keeping him hidden relative to Romney and the others. Like the majority of the Republican candidates, the more exposure Huntsman gets, the worse he will seem to voters. The opposite is true of President Obama.
I agree, he can do damage by attacting the more moderate voters, but he has also flipped-flopped on a couple of key issues. He’s going to be a hard sell in the south because of his stance on Civil unions.
I heard one political anylist say that, with the republican field such that it is, this could end in a open convention this year, and if that happens all hell is going to break loose in the republican party.
The good thing about Huntsman is that he would allow the President to talk about real policy issues, and not swat down nonsense from the other joke candidates. He would be able to point out the rationale behind his decisions, spell out his vision, and display his awesome intellect. I’m not really scared of Huntsman, because he’s either going to espouse the same failed Republican policies, or have to agree that the President’s policies are working and will continue to work. Why would we change horses? And there really aren’t enough racists in the country to just vote for a White version of the President, if he decides to go the moderate, sensible route (at least, I hope there aren’t).
Halo, I share your analysis, and your concern. In fact, I’ve had the same concern as yours for quite some time. And I don’t know why everyone is talking about Romney. I have no doubt that independants would choose President Obama over him. Romney isn’t “clicking” with Americans. His stance on the auto bailout completely destroyed his argument of being “competent” on business and economy. His flip=floppings on Health Care make him look opportunistic and “politician” in the worst sense of the word.
I think it will be imperative to publicize the links of Huntsman with the Koch Brothers, and the incredible power the Koch Brothers have in America. Think Progress produced a fantastic document about them some weeks ago. I’ll find the link and post it some time soon.
There’s no doubt in my mind that President Obama can win reelection, but I’m with the WH on this: it won’t be as easy as people think and it will necessitate efforts and unity.
I agree Huntsman will be a strong candidate. But let’s remember that in order for him to meet the so-called demands of the far right, he is already flipping on some of the issues for which he stood as a reasonable moderate. He recently endorsed the Ryan budget which includes doing away with Medicare as we know it and would give senior vouchers.
The media may try to gloss over these tid bits, but it will be up to us to continue to remind them so that stuff like this is not swept under the rug.
And finally, if Huntsman is one that Plouffe and the Admin are concerned about, I can bet my bottom dollar that they are not sitting around waiting from him to be sprung up on us. Still, it is good for us to keep our wits about us and try to keep two steps in front of these guys.
So great to come here andd at BWD where we can get such wonderful and enlightening discussions.
I agree with your assessment that Huntsman is a reasonable conservative. That’s why David Plouffe feared a Huntsman run for presidency and the media assumed that’s why Obama selected him as the Ambassador to China.
Here’s a video of a Huntsman interview in favor of a federal mandate of health insurance. This will change the conversation really fast in public debates.
First there was Gingrich, then Romney and in 2007 Huntsman all favoring a mandate. Huntsman actually favored a federal mandate.
When news breaks of Pawlenty’s work on climate change legislation and his and Huntsman’s support of Cap and Trade legislation, the voters will have plenty to think about.
If all these conservatives thought mandates and Cap and Trade were viable solutions, are they Socialists out to destroy America, too?
Huntsman does hold a lot of “moderate” positions on key issues. I guess that’s why the question for me still remains how exactly is he going to get the GOP nomination without tacking to the far-right and flip-flopping on these positions? Right now, Huntsman is among the LEAST popular as a candidate among GOP voters, so in order to increase his visibility and appeal he has no choice but to swing to the right – a choice that would by necessity force him to abandon (publicly) all his “moderate” positions – the very positions that he would need to attract moderate Independents in a general election.
Did you cover up the lower half of Newt or is it my computer refusing to download it?
Your computer hates the Newton!!
VERY smart computer. It’s protective of your eyesight.
A nice loving husband Tinisamba!!!!! Sounds like a keeper.
Oh he is Barb. We have been friends for 26 years.Lost touch with each other and met again in 2006. We got married last year. Our first anniversary is at the end of this month. It’s been a wonderful year!!
Guess I won’t be on that class action lawsuit against our Chips.
Chipsticks, you are the bommmmmmb diggety my dear for this post! The first picture with Sasha just has me grinning from ear to ear!!!
Re-post just in case you missed it.
Genius!!!!!!!!! Just added it to the post – thumb-wrestling is one of my most loved sports ever!!! Thank you GoBrooklyn!
Such great photo layout. Best for me: Sasha screaming with pleasure and the winter scene
Awesome! The “cricket” picture is with Brian Charles Lara (World’s Greatest Cricketer) of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.(MY COUNTRY) It was taken at Hilton Trinidad, April 2009 on Obama’s visit to Trinidad & Tobago for the Summit of the Americas.
Chips, what about Golfing? That’s his all time favorite sport. I keep refreshing the page knowing there will be a new photo. “Pocket-Battleships”
I love the blue in the Trans-Atlantic Paddeling. That’s a great way to stay trim. Trinisamba, you’ve got a good memory……….maybe it’s because it your home. An oldie but goody is the one as a little child playing with his Pops in the water.
Yes Barb, I will forever remember his brief visit to my country, so early in his presidency. I love him tremendously I read somewhere recently that a lot of women when dreaming about a partner now say that they want a “Barack Obama” because he is THE PERFECT MAN. DROOL! DROOL! My husband actually sends me pictures ofO because he knows how much I love him (BO)
Oh chipsticks, I thought the Ireland trip will never be out done, but am telling ya, this is to me the best post you have ever done. May god protect your BIG BRAINS because it take a Genius to think and do this post. You have out done yourself Girl, thank you.
Ah, you’re an auld sweetie M4O …. I just had waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands this evening, but thrilled you enjoyed the giggles!
LOVE this compilation!! It brings back so many terrific memories and shows us how active our President is. You’re brilliant, Chips!!
Best! Post! Ever!
Wow just going through those pictures and comments – I need a quart of Guiness!
I’m telling ya hopefruit2 – viewing these pics with my Guinness is PRICELESS. I even put in my Tina Turner CD and I’m playing “Simply The Best” in tribute to Chipsticks because…Chipsticks you are SIMPLY THE BEST!
Absolutely! I’m with you and Tina here.
You’re an excellent writer and have a wickedly witty mind, Chipsticks. I really enjoyed this post! I’m out for the evening – have a lovely one, all.
AMAZING post, Chipsticks!
President Barack Hussein Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are leadership personified…in every aspect of life. Their example has changed how I react to situations in my own daily life. Incredible.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all these pictures. I remember most of them, but some of them I haven’t seen before, and each one is a treasure. He looks so YOUNG in that picture with Sasha! I’m afraid we have aged him….beautifully. Brian, I know what you mean about MY president. Kennedy was that way for me for 2 1/2 years, and there’s been noone else until now. My husband and I, both of us more senior than anyone else on this blog, think of him as our president. He is, simply put, amazing. JFK had charisma and smarts, but President Obama has heart in addition. He has a good soul, and I trust him.
Yes, Carolyn, I am of the generation of Kennedy. So I am elated to see some lovely seniors here laughing, crying, learning, sharing, and caring together as a loving family with Chipsticks, our precious gem. I concur JFK has the intellect and charisma also, and Our President now has all of that and a beautiful way of sharing it openly. I trust him, respect his goodness within his heart, and his beautiful soul to care for others. We are so blessed to be living during President Obama’s Presidency.
I just went back through and saw “Mind Reading” Love it!
The one of the President and Bo, the one of the President, Sasha, and Malia out in the snow, the one of Barack playing basketball, the one of barack and Michelle’s hand, the one of him as a child, the one of him and Michelle playing around, heck I think all of them are nice. I can do without seeing Boehner too.
Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. Big-grin-inducing. Thank you, Chip.
Ah, thank YOU Hachikō, love ya!
I am late to the party but just had to add my 2 cents. As I was looking at the pictures all I could think of was – wow Chipsticks has outdone herself this time – then I read the comments and see the TOD family thought the same thing and said it already. So just to pile on – WOW WOW WOW WOW – I will look at this post over and over. Can’t pick a favorite love them all but I gotta say I did really like one particular view on the high jumping one!!!!!
Louc, I kinda liked the high jumping one too!!! Thanks Louc, love ya!!!
Late to the party too. WOW, what a great photo compilation. Simply AWESOME. Love all the pics. And I have enjoyed reading all your comments, you guys are something else.
you ain’t lying about that high jumping one. ahem…:)
I’ve just returned home from running some errands, and I must say Chipsticks you have given us another wonderful evening of beautiful pictures to behold. I also want to welcome Brian to our family. This place is a delight, Brian, so please enjoy. Glad that you are here. Enjoy.
So cute how POTUS and Malia look exactly alike in that snow photo. Same face and same expression. Adorable.
This has to be one of my all time favorite posts. Love all of the photos but the long distance running one with the flags is great. He looks so determined and so vibrant, like he’s ready to go fight the enemy. They should use that photo in a campaign ad
I agree MB32, that long distance running pic stood out to me too! So wonderful Chips! Thank you for all the fun!
Like Obamalia and others, I love all the pics plus the captions. Merci`buckets, Chipsticks! This is a really good uplifter.
Chipsticks, you made me so light-hearted and happy with this post that I went downstairs, put a load of clothes in washer, tidy the shoes at the door, and even arranged my lemons in there new home on the counter. Back upstairs now listening to James Galway’s lovely flute concert. Maybe we should have some of these lovely pictures of our President and FLOTUS visit to Moneygall on his birthday, August with some of James Galway’s music in background. I wish I knew how to do that, but I do not, so I will leave it to my very very smart sons and daughters in my family here. Just a thought. I think there is a Galway, Ireland. Right?
Sorry,,should be their instead there. See how excited I am. Love you all.
HZ, you are the BEST! Wash in, shoes tidied & lemons arranged. Sweet dreams.
This is one brilliant post, Chip. One very brilliant post, my friend.
Hey BWD, thrilled to see you back in action, hope all’s good with you.
Every photo is a “WOW!” Loved, loved, loved it! (But where’s dancing?)
Good Morning Chipsticks and family. I could not sleep anymore so decided to go down and turn off lights. I couldn’t resist checking on my beautiful family and Chipsticks. Staying in from service this morning, but I will be prayful and nice today. Drinking my first cup of hot lemon water. Praying for POTUS, FLOTUS, and his team. Sec. Gates is making a two day trip to Afghanistan to say goodbyes to troops. Pray for him this morning.I’m going to miss him sooooooooooo. I will be back in a few.
Hi Chipsticks. Could we see Uphill and Downhill AF1 Step Running?
Incredible. What a wonderful post. You are the best. this just made my day. virtual pat on the back.
Ok, Chipsticks. I forgive you for last night. ((((HUG))))
This picture post was entirely too cute and funny to boot!
Keep them coming, Chips!!
How about Guinness Gulping?!
The updated pictures are just great. keep ‘em coming Chips.
The photos of President Obama as a little boy just make me melt. He was adorable, I could just eat him up. Too cute.
What a President! Gotta love him!
Best.Post.EVAR!! I really mean it Chips! I love your coverage of PBO and FLOTUS–especially since you have the best pics of FLOTUS’ outfits–and your undying positivity and the politics you mix in, but this post is wonderful. I don’t recognize the kayaking pic, but the rest I do and the captions are amazing. I have always loved the pic with PBO and Sasha in go-carts and the “Wrestling” pic. The Mind-reading one is hilarity because getting FLOTUS gloves was so sweet. I admire you and BWD so much for this great work you on on the President’s behalf.
jojo – my sentiments exactly. i love all the fotos and the funny twisted captions. i hope everyone forwards this post on their facebook, emails etc. thank you chips – you’re the best!!!
Thrilled you enjoyed it JoJo, thank you!! I’m going to campaign to make Mind-reading an Olympic sport!
