Exactly. They are always so impatient. They never realize that true progress and meaningful change takes time and effort. Impatience and impulsiveness derail the cause of progress and justice.

THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND INDEED…SO TRUE. ‘CHANGE’ TAKES TIME…YOU HOLD ONTO HOPE AND YOU WILL GET THERE.

I somehow think that the long view is important for the work of being a parent and the President and First Lady have the right stuff for that as well.

This is one of the most wonderful interchanges i have ever witnessed. We are seeing history, folks. Every single day we are living through the kind of moments that our grandchildren and great grandchildren will only read about and wish they could have beheld. I know they will have their wonders too but this is ours. I intend to make sure I don’t take one moment of this miracle for granted or falter in my efforts to support it.

    Dear First Lady, Michelle Obama,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for articulating that destruction can occur in the blink of an eye while construction is not only slow but suffers setbacks. In the end, the tortoise will win.

Oh and I have to say that Michele O’Bama in her own quiet and profound way just answered every single person who doesn’t get it. This is what makes a servant leader, someone who can spend more than two decades suffering for their cause, perhaps feeling lost and forgotten, without blogs or twitter to keep in touch, and come out with compassion and empathy and continued resolve instead of hatred and resentment and cynicism. It takes the patience of this man and the mighty strength he had in his integrity and self sacrifice.

There is no way Romney, Huntsman, Perry, Gringrich,or Bachmann could inspire anyone to vote for them. The only people voting against Obama would be people who are full of hate or fear that was instilled in them by the right-wing corporate media. The Republican party has been the party of No and destruction for at least 30 years (I’m being really kind) and now they have attached a nuclear bomb to their R. I can’t imagine the American ship in 2013 without President Obama leading the way.

Wow, I’ve said it so many times before and I will continue to say it, Wow! I am so proud to have Michelle Obama as my First Lady. I am so proud. If certain part of America can’t see what a wonderful First Lady she is, it’s not her fault. It’s the hatred in these people heart that refuse to allow them to get past the color of her skin.

You just made me feel an unexpected pang of sympathy for all those so blinded by their issues that they can’t see the miracle in front of their faces. I can’t imagine being on the wrong side of history for all of this.

I am so proud of FLOTUS.

Well, CNN was announcing that the presidents speech would be televised live. But, Casey anthony came back from recess. Guess who CNN went with? Yup- good ole trial of Casey Anthony.

    Wow!

    • June 23, 2011 at 3:42 pm

Yuck! They showed it all on the live streaming, better to stick with that.

From all the reports of their “confusion” and “frustration” last night, one would think they’d be hanging on every additional morsel of information. They can’t be too concerned about the withdrawal if they can’t even be bothered to show the President making additional statements about it less than 24 hours later.
