I don’t like either one of those closeted KKluxers. Man, I wish we could just draw a circle around Atlanta and Athens and just declare the blue oasis the 51st state, so it would offset the redneck idiots in the rest of Georgia.

By the way, now that Deal signed that heinous immigration bill, the state’s agriculture industry is reeling bcz they kicked out so many undocumented immigrants. They’re something like 11,000 farmhands short; as a result a huge amount of crops will go unharvested, just rotting in the sun. Brilliant! See how productive hate is, Fellas?

And get this — now the Rethugs want approval to send prison parolees to south Georgia to work in 100 degree weather picking berries, etc, of course with no benefits. Anybody wanna bet the person who came up with that idea is heavily invested in private prisons? Smells like some of Jan Brewer’s shenanigans doesn’t it?

We’ve gotta get these people OUT OF OFFICE!

That’s really bad – so they’re going to fill up the prisons and create a whole new slave generation? So bad.

It DOES sound like Jan Brewer!!! We have so much in common….even to the point of the southern part of the state (Tucson area) wanting to secede from AZ and become Baja Arizona…crops are rotting in the fields in Yuma, for the same reason…and Jan has a vested interest in the private prison system…after all, she thinks it’s so wonderful that we had escapees here that got out and went on a killing spree a while back.Perfect. I was surprised that she polled that high, but then I remembered that we have SO MANY shitty people in office here, that maybe they just forgot about her! This is the land of loons….truly the HateState. So sorry that GA. is following down the same dark path.

Wait a minute! I’m in Macon, and we went for PBO in 2008, and we had a dem representative until Jim Marshall decided he’d campaign against PBO in 2010 and lost the support of the dems in the 8th District. Include us in your circle of blue. It’s the northern and southern parts of the state that vote overwhelmingly for these rw corporate tools. Deal not only hurt himself by signing the immigration bill, but he has an ongoing battle with WSB about the role his daughter-in-law played in his campaign. Plus, he barred WSB from his press conferences until the station “apologizes” for lying about him. We dems knew he’d be a flop but the tools here were so anti-dem that they weren’t listening when we were trying to tell them last year that Deal would be no deal for GA. The probationer idea to harvest crops seems to be an epic FAIL if the info in this article that appeared in my local paper is accurate. I was LMAO after reading it!

        http://www.macon.com/2011/06/22/1605424/ga-puts-probationers-to-work-harvesting.html#disqus_thread

The conservatives are being questioned intensely about the new immigration law in federal court, too, and they don’t like it. Be on the lookout for screams of “liberal judge!” when the hands down his decision because he was a Clinton appointee.

Is it bad of me to wish those numbers were much, much lower? :?

      June 24, 2011 at 1:43 am

Oh absolutely not Lisa. I’m right behind you. I hope President Obama captures all those states and many more in 2012. Dems have to tie the destructive policies of repubs to these governors and remind people that when you vote for a republican led majority, you vote for the elimination of workers rights, womens rights, childrens rights, college students rights, minority rights (ethnic, sexual and otherwise), environmental rights, medicare, medicaid, planned parenthood, social security, the EPA, the consumer protection bureau, the middle and working class and the future generation.

  3. June 24, 2011 at 12:32 am

I am surprised these numbers aren’t much lower. The glass is half empty — there are still that many stupid people in this country.

I agree, I would expect much lower numbers…especially Scott in Wisconsin.

I am shocked that Walker’s is so high, only 9% down, I thought it was much, much lower after what’s been going on in Wisconsin. I don’t get that.

Those 2010 midterms were a blessing in disguise. It’s not enough to try to tell people how bad the GOP is; they need to experience it for themselves, and that’s what’s happening. Now that the voters in these swing states know what the Republicans can do, they may be more motivated to keep President Obama in office to keep the R’s in check.

From your lips to God’s ears…..people need to wake up and pay attention before everything they thought they had and could depend on, is gone for good. The Take Away Party….that’s what I call them….they all need to go!

No American, not on life support, has any question in their mind about the DISASTER that anything within a light year of connection to “Republican” means.

By Election Day 2012, the essential human trait of self-preservation, especially when potentially exposed to radioactivity far exceeding the treacherous levels of Fukushima, will run to the polls to vote for Obama/Biden and any Democratic candidate they can find on the ballot.

    Yes.We.Can. … DO.More.Together!

North Carolina Dem Governor Vetoes GOP Voter-ID Bill

North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue (D) has vetoed a Voter-ID bill passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature. The proposed law was part of a wave of similar bills that have been pushed by Republican-led legislatures in the wake of the 2010 elections. Like those, it would have required voters to show certain approved forms of photo identification at their polling places, or else cast provisional ballots and then have to prove their eligibility later.

Just read the article, Doris. Thank you so much. Great news indeed.

    • June 24, 2011 at 3:27 am

I heard that my Governor had veto the Voter ID Bill and I was so glad she did that. I have to send her a email to thank her for doing that, I had email here twice before asking her to please veto that bill because we know what the Republicans are trying to do. And I’m so glad she did veto it. This Governor is not like some of those other Democrats who are afraid to be seen with the President. When President Obama was recently in the state she was right there greeting him with a big hug.

  9. June 24, 2011 at 3:38 am

I think people are regretting elected all those Republicans Governors, and in alot of states the Republicans control the house and senate also. Which have been big trouble. But I’m praying people are starting to see what a big mistake they make in 2010. These Republicans didn’t campaign on alot of things they are doing, like the Union busting. Republicans are trying to fool people again and I just hope and pray people will see that no things are not where we all want them to be, but the President we have now is working hard to make things right, and we just need to stand by him, give him the chance to continue to work for the people. We change things in 2010 and the Republicans have not made anything better. Beside they don’t give a dam about the poor and middle class.

Ok, I would leave the video here, but it might be offensive to some. So, I’m just gonna say that if you dare, go on youtube, type in D.C. Curry, then go to the Don “DC” Curry video uploaded by comedy house. It personifies what I would say to this.

I wonder what universe they’re living in to think that we’re so stupid as to vote overwhelmingly for a political party that has openly displayed its racism to every group of persons of color in America, and especially to PBO who has done nothing to them except beat them in 2008? Forget it, Newt. We don’t like Herman Cain or Michael Steele, either, Newt. This comment shows how little Newt knows about us and why we choose to vote for some politicians over others.

Int it something that all the press and the GOP are against the release of oil reserves!
So much so, that Kay Bailey Hutchison wants to write legislation to quell anmore releases of oil from the reserves! They are freaking out!

    Lol!

    • 38 Fred
      June 24, 2011 at 8:32 am

Hutchinson is from Texas where there is a LOT of oil so her her oil masters are definitely mad as hell since the President played the speculators well and beat them at their own day game.
The media talked about maybe using the reserves a few weeks ago when the speculators were fucking with driving and spiking the cost of a gallon. The President did nothing and he does that and the rest of the world (as usual   ) follows suit driving the oil industry;speculators;punks like Hutchinson;Joe Barton and the media ape shit crazy.
      I love it :D

    • 39 halo
      June 24, 2011 at 10:22 am

Well, to be honest, I don’t think it’s that wise to use the oil reserves unless it’s a TRUE emergency like Katrina. Those things are for the worst of the worst because it’s our last bullets to a problem.
