Vice President Biden on Friday gave this dramatic (and funny) account of President Obama’s mood in the aftermath of the Osama bin Laden killing, describing a Cabinet meeting after the terrorist was taken out:
“It was his decision, by the way, to nail Osama bin Laden,” Biden said at a Teamsters convention in Las Vegas, pounding the lectern a half-dozen times.
At the Cabinet meeting, Biden said, Obama thanked his national security team, Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates and Leon Panetta at a Cabinet meeting.
Then: ” ‘And I want to thank Joe Biden’ – and he said something that wasn’t true – ‘who knows more foreign policy than me.’
“ There’s more: “Then, he said, ‘By the way, Joe, I want you to settle the budget crisis.’ So I said, ‘OK, no problem.’ “

Oh my gosh! I just looked back at the photo and it’s like they are staring right at me!!! There should be a banner underneath them that says: “We want you.” and somewhere in the background it should say: OBAMA/BIDEN 2012. Gawd, that would be an awesome poster. It could recruit so many volunteers!

Obama/Biden 2012 reminded me of the awesome sight in the grocery store parking lot yesterday. The car next to mine and the car across the way both had the new 2012 bumper stickers with the Obama symbol in the zero. It made me very happy. Like the new t-shirts in Cubby blue with that same design too. I want both.
A great idea, but I would edit to ‘We want your vote’ or some such, instead of ‘we want you’, Don’t want to give the minds of the naysayers any room for misunderstandings.
Those two men are absolutely marvelous….inside and out. I feel comfortable and secure knowing they are in charge. One thing I truly admire and like about them, is that they both came up the hard way. They each worked for what he got! Neither was born with the proverbial “silver spoon” in his mouth, neither had wealthy family backing him. They made it on their merits and hard work.
Look at the menagerie of Republicans….so many born so rich they have no idea what it is to work or not to have everything they want…immediately. How anyone who works for a slightly living wage or salary thinks any of those people will understand their needs is totally outside my imagination. Like GWB, they just sneer at regular folks like us who have worked all our lives.
