Maggy, that’s what I said!! That looks like where he REALLY works. In fact, that kinda looks like one of the places where they hang out when ‘Daddy’s working from home’. How cool is that?

Seriously, with Chelsea’s appearance, I don’t know where Hilary begins or Bill ends: It’s like Chelsea is this perfect mix of them both. When I see her, I can’t say that she looks more like her mom or her dad: she just looks like both of them and I can’t even point out which features are whose. She just looks like them. Nice.
ps- Jill looks absolutely lovely. She looks like she’s having a good time :)

One of the players is from my town, graduated from the high school near my neighborhood, a very nice write-up in the local paper today. She excelled in all sports, an all-around great athlete, chose soccer in the end.

  22. July 17, 2011 at 5:21 pm

Check out our First Family’s shoeless feet (Michelle & Malia’s) . . . I guess in their home (The White House), they have the right to bare arms and the right to bare feet. :) :) :)

Newcenturywoman, I read an interview that the this is a habit that the First Lady practiced in her home in Chicago as well. The interviewer said that this is common to see our First Lady barefeet in the redience. I like the habit. I practive it in my home for over 30 years.

If anyone other than US had to win I am glad it was Japan. They deserve it after all they have gone thru. So sorry for our girls.

JAPAN WON! No hard feelings. They went thru a lot especially with their coach dying during the tsusami.

Awww… so close! I can’t be mad at Japan, though. They needed something to celebrate after the horrendous year they’ve had.
Hold your heads high, USA team! You represented us well!!

I am happy for both teams. But we are a beutiful people here in US. Maybe this will also bring a healing to the people of Japan. We are still proud of our team. Just to know that we have played a part again in a nation’s healing process.

Congratulations to Japan on your soccer win. Nice job! USA women…we’re so proud of all of you! You represented us well!

    • July 17, 2011 at 5:30 pm

It really was an amazing game. I was routing for the USA. But I guess Japan was destined to win.

I think this will uplift their country especially after having a very rough time this year with earthquakes and that deadly the Tsunami.

Congratulations to Japan on their win. However, I think the American girls did their country proud.

I know right? A gracious athlete always congratulates his/her opponent. Congratulations Japan on your world cup victory. Well deserved healing for a grieving nation. Team USA you did your best and played excellently. You did your country proud. :D

To Japan, I cogratulate u on an excellent match and victory. To the US team, you represented your country with pride , class and dignity. You have done us proud.

    Great game.

  28. July 17, 2011 at 5:46 pm

I’m now really taking in that amazing photo of the Obamas watching the game.

They had the game food, dips and what looks like Salsa. And the remotes.
Check out how Malia has her cup on the ground.

I could so relate to this picture. It encompasses all the habits in the home.

    I just love them.

I saw all that too donna. It looks like they are in the President’s private office. :D Nice office. It’s looks fitting for him as my Mama would say.

  29. July 17, 2011 at 5:46 pm

Good game. I usually don’t watch soccer, but I was rooting on our ladies. Tough lost. They had so many chances in the first half but they couldn’t get them to go in. But we still are proud of them, and to Japan, with all your country have face recently hopefully this will lift you’ll spirits. Still so proud of our ladies.

  30. July 17, 2011 at 5:54 pm

Wow, I didn’t know that Japan’s coach died in the tsumai, What a terrible lose that nation has experieced in so many ways. Congratulations to our Team USA for giving it their best.I remember taking my granddaughter to a match when the winning USA women traveled the country. I couldn’t be happier for Japan as they bring honor to their nation at a very challenging time.

That is a real family for sure. I know I come in and take my shoes off first. They done got out of their Sunday go to meetings, and now chillin ;o)

    • July 17, 2011 at 7:54 pm

Malia and Michelle are bare foot. Come home from church, sit back and chill. Let me see the idiots are going to be checking out what they are eating and how many calories?

    July 17, 2011 at 7:53 pm

I’m not sure if that is a cell phone sitting in front of Malia but she had it in her hand this morning walking to church. If it is she’s just like every other teenager and me(and I’m far from a teenager, Lol) attached to her phone ;-)

I want to know what they are eating too, looks like salsa and chips, but what is the other dish???????????????

  37. July 17, 2011 at 8:03 pm

Love the picture–REAL Americans watching a game together. Why anyone would say they want to “take this country back” is beyond me! I looked up some info about this room. The Treaty Table does look to be the President’s desk, where he gets real work done. The casual furniture gives the family a place to relax, put their feet up, and have time out from the insanity they are surrounded with. God bless them. I can picture the President working at that table in the evening, girls doing their homework on the couch, Michelle reading, and Bo doing his dog stuff–I say God bless them, again!!!!!!

I don’t know, but it looks like Mich may enjoy a cold one, every now and then. Barry’s looks more like iced tea. And kids (relegated to paper cups, just like in my family!) have either iced tea or punch of some kind. It’s just so cool that they are a regular family, bare feet and all.

I LOVE THESE FOLKS! Just love ‘em!!! 8) 8)

Congratulations to the US Women’s soccer team for a very good perfromance!

Only one team could win this and this time God’s wisdom decided that the Japan needed this win more given the national crises they have faced most recently.

my congratulations to Japan women’s soccer team and thanks for helping to contribute to the healing of the national mood!
