CBPP: House Speaker John Boehner’s new budget proposal would require deep cuts in the years immediately ahead in Social Security and Medicare benefits for current retirees, the repeal of health reform’s coverage expansions, or wholesale evisceration of basic assistance programs for vulnerable Americans.
The plan is, thus, tantamount to a form of “class warfare.” If enacted, it could well produce the greatest increase in poverty and hardship produced by any law in modern U.S. history.
This may sound hyperbolic, but it is not. The mathematics are inexorable:
See link for details
…. the Boehner plan would force policymakers to choose among cutting the incomes and health benefits of ordinary retirees, repealing the guts of health reform and leaving an estimated 34 million more Americans uninsured, and savaging the safety net for the poor. It would do so even as it shielded all tax breaks, including the many lucrative tax breaks for the wealthiest and most powerful individuals and corporations.
President Obama has said that, while we must reduce looming deficits, we must take a balanced approach. The Boehner proposal badly fails this test of basic decency….

No wonder his server is still down. People aren’t having it anymore. The days of MSM carrying the GOP’s water are OVER. People are listening to their president and that’s all that matters.

THAT PIC OF RUSTY LOOKS LIKE HE’S BEEN SITTING AT THE BAR TOO LONG…AGAIN!
If I might ask, please get rid of that picture. I rather see Bo the dog then that spineless John Boehner.
LOLLLL…I’D RATHER LOOK AT WHAT ‘BO’ HAS PILED IN THE BACKYARD THAN RUSTY!
REPUBLICAN WRECKAGE — NYT
The republican are being called out. Folks, let’s keeep calling, e-mailing and tweeting, and facebooking until the day ends. Then start tomorrow again. We should continue this through the end of the week and beyond if it calls for that.
—AMERICANS SHOULD BE OFFENDED—-
“In a scathing prime-time television address Monday night, President Obama stepped off the sidelines to tell Americans the House Republicans were threatening a “deep economic crisis” that could send interest rates skyrocketing and hold up Social Security and veterans’ checks. By insisting on a single-minded approach and refusing to negotiate, he said, Republicans were violating the country’s founding principle of compromise. ”
—SNIP—
“We agreed strongly when Mr. Obama said Americans should be “offended” by this display and that they “may have voted for divided government but they didn’t vote for a dysfunctional government.” It’s hard not to conclude now that dysfunction is the Republicans’ goal — even if the cost is unthinkable.

I’ve never taken so many pain medications in my life Sue but I am hanging in there
hope all is well with you.God bless
How is that a big deal? Senator Obama missed a lot of votes when he was campaigning, too, so did McCain. What is important is that Bachmann misses Intelligence Committee meetings while she’s campaigning. The more of those she misses, the happier I am. And it’s not like her vote matters with the majority they have.
She missed the intelligence portion when God was handing out brain cells, her missing the Intelligence Committee meetings is therefore, no great loss. She had nothing to add to begin with.
As I said I sent that Congressman an email and I told him about my 83 year old neighbor who is worry about if she will get her Social Security check. I just told him about this lady, she is not a wealthy lady, she has no stocks or bond, she has no nest egg to fall back on, it’s month to month depending on her S.S. check. I told him it was a dog gone same to be putting that lady and others through something like that all because you and your party want to protect the rich. I ask the Congressman what do I tell that lady?
That suppose to be shame.
I love the comparison of the hedge fund manager and the student president obama woke up a lot of ppl last night.
I sent off emails last night to all my congressmen. I will call the local offices today. The teathugs cannot win on this.
Good morning everyone. This will be a very interesting day and week.
Let’s see if the media talks about what the CBPP said about Boehner-Limbaugh plan. He had to get Limbaugh approval first. Boy do I miss Mrs. Pelosi. That was a real Speaker.
Pardon my language but this pisses me off! I am so angry at the Ed Shultz and the other so called liberal idiots who told folks to sit 2010 out to teach President Obama and the Dems a lesson! Who is crying now? Not for nothing, President Obama will continue to make his millions while in and out of office, but ordinary folks will be left to eat grass with very little to even wipe their you know what! I am mad as heck which is the main reason I lurk these days and not comment much. It is mind boggling how folks vote against themselves, time and time again!
So after you’re done calling Congress, call MSNBC and leave a message for Ed Shultz.
Ed Shultz and MSNBC has heard from me… Not to mention the Speaker… I am not just ranting on this board, I am speaking up.
Why havent they put the crazy Repug plan out there point by point? It has the repeal of healthcare in it as well as immediate cute to existing medicare and SS ( or does it?)
Here it is:

He guys for more resonance and impact, can y’all please tweet this: it’s a slice of PBO’s Friday night presser. Let’s make this go viral:
Here is the URL:

Just fix the space after the “h” when you send.
The thing that I find most outrageous about Speaker Boehner is that he is a liar. He lies which such ease it is astonishing. I can’t imagine what it has been like for President Obama and his team to deal with someone so SHALLOW AND DISHONEST. Steve Benen has a great post on this subject. You would think the feckless media would be able to challenge his outlandish claims and lies, but too often they just nod their heads and let the lies float on by.
BOEHNER’S TRUTH ALLERGY:
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) looked pretty small last night, delivering a weak speech that inadvertently bolstered all of President Obama’s arguments about GOP intransigence. But for me, the most striking thing about Boehner’s address wasn’t the weak content and poor delivery; it was his breathtaking dishonesty.
If one were to create a drinking game in which viewers took a shot every time the Speaker lied, the “winner” would be in the hospital this morning with alcohol poisoning.
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_07/boehners_truth_allergy031099.php
And per that NYT article I posted up thread, they seem to think that he wrote the speech before PBO delivered his. One can see how he already concocted his lie without even knowing what the president was going to say.
This is disturbing on so many levels. It is dangerous for the country to have such incompetence at the highest levels.
This country has to really be thankful to have President Barack Hussein Obama at the helm, this day, age, and critical hour. I hope everyone continues to call these folks everyday until we get some results.
Sorry if this is a repost. I didn’t sign in so it’ll probably come up as Anon. But let’s make this go viral guys. It’s a slice of PBO’s Friday night presser. Please tweet it to everyone one. It will strengthen PBO’s argument from last night. If John Boehner and his idiot band of hooligans want class warfare, let’s give it to them. If tweeting can aid a revolution in some distant places we never thought democracy could happen. What can it do here and now, in the world’s oldest example of what democracy should be? I don’t know what the hell type of autocracy the Koch bros and his minions in Congress are looking to fund, but this country was not meant for rule by kings, the wealthy few or even mob rule. I think we all need a little reminder of who runs this democracy, and it’s nobody in Washington. So let’s go viral :
I don’t agree with you, Lisa. Asking the American people now is too late in the game, and most people don’t know enough or care to do it on something as abstract as the debt ceiling. I don’t think PBO laid out how dire the legislative reality is. He is losing this battle, not on PR terms, but the inside game of PASSING A BILL. He knows he can’t get a bill passed that is favorable to him and the House wants to gut the middle class and will use this opportunity to force him to make a choice.
PBO needed to come out more strongly and tell the People straight up that this is insane and tell them of an escape plan to free the hostage.
halo, the president’s strategy was well thought out and well played. This is evidenced by the high call volumes that almost all of congress is getting. PR is very important because as we’ve seen, that is how many a repugs won their dastardly games in the past 3 years. The American people trust PBO more than congress to deal with debt and deficit as cited by a poll listed somewhere on this thread. Also the American people trust PBO more than the repugs in most things in general. This didn’t just happen overnight. This occurred because PBO has been tirelessly working on the narrative espoused most effectively last night: raise the debt ceiling by closing corporate loopholes and ending welfare for the rich or raise the debt ceiling on the backs of the elderly, the poor and the defenseless. I don’t know where you have been for the past month halo, but it’s obvious we aren’t on the same page. I don’t know who you think PBO is, but he doesn’t get his talking points from the peanut gallery nor does he get it from backseat politicians. It’s fine to disagree with my assessment, but please don’t tell me that “it’s too late” or that “he is losing this battle.” Save that kind of talking for the Orange site and Huffy Puff. I hope you will rethink your assessment and continue to work on spreading PBO’s narrative. It is NEVER too late to fight for what is right. It’s NEVER too late to do the right thing. It’s NEVER too late to help.
Look at the response Obama got from his speech last and night and tell me who’s losing the battle?
halo., the President is doing his job and doing it very well. President Obama is not just a politician, but he is also a strategist. Unless you are there with the people at the table, I am not sure if you can say for certain what is and what isn’t. You are have every right to your opinion, but please stick to the facts or else you should take your comments somewhere else…I’m just sayin’.
President Obama should tweet from his official account to remind folks to call their reps. He has near 9M followers and it could crash things again.
Obama Uses Ronald Reagan To Club House Republicans Like Baby Seals
========================
So much for those recent stories about Obama caving to the GOP and giving them everything that they want, tonight’s speech didn’t sound like a president that was willing to cave to anything. Obama knows that he has the upper hand, and he is fully willing to call the Republicans out on their tactic of holding the American people hostage in order to get their own way.
Using Ronald Reagan against House Republicans was a brilliant political move. By invoking a popular former Republican president, Obama reinforced the impression in the minds of the American people that he is interested in bi-partisanship and compromise. Reagan has been co-opted by the Democrats and turned into a champion of the debt ceiling. Reagan is now a Democratic symbol who represents doing what’s right for America.
Obama was able to trace the recent history of debt ceiling increasing and lay the exploding deficit at the feet of many of the same Republicans who spent wildly on two wars, tax breaks for the wealthy, and a Medicare prescription drug plan without paying for it.
Obama is holding his ground, and he knows that he has popular opinion on his side. Republicans keep trying to spin, but they are getting nowhere. Instead they have provided President Obama with the opportunity to take his case to the American people.
President Obama is showing a toughness that the House GOP economic hostage takers never expected.
This president is standing tall and sending the message that the American people will not be bullied into selling out the many in order to strengthen the economic advantage of the few.
Barack Obama is standing tall, and right now, he needs you to stand with him.

Dang, Ladyhawke, why they gotta be bashin’ baby seals???
Hehehehe LOL
Yea. Wish they wouldn’t have used that analogy.
Good Morning, TOD Family. Hope you’re enjoying your down time, Chips! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
(That’s all I got for now, lol.)
It really is a class warfare. I watched the media on various stations this morning trying to say President Obama wasn’t effective in his speech. They all especially Morning Joe conveniently forgot to mention to their viewers that congressional websites and phone lines were jammed due to the flood of emails, calls and faxes. They conveniently forgot to mention that twitter was a hot bed of tweets to congressmembers, especially republican congressmembers. The media is complicit in the fact that many people are wholly uninformed. They all just carry GOP water. It’s disgusting. Russell Simmons, the African-American mogul behind Run DMC, Phat Farm, various other businesses and great charities that heavily fund education and the arts among others, was on Morning Joe this morning and he castigated the media for their part. He said why wouldn’t I want to pay more taxes. I’m blessed. People are out there suffering. The rich keep getting richer, the Dow climbed from 8,000 to 12,000 points, hedge fund managers are making more and more money but the middle and working class are stuck with declining wages. He looked at Mika and Joe and said the media is also to blame for why we’re in this position. They don’t tell the truth, they don’t report exactly what President Obama says, instead they form erroneous opinions and peddle outright LIES about this President. There is no support anywhere in the media for this President. He and Americans are being held hostage by republicans. He went on to say that he wants all Americans to know that Republicans are to blame. He called out the teabaggers for signing a pledge with Grover Norquist and because of that they aren’t willing to compromise and are ready to push this country off the cliff. He said it’s grossly unfair that when President Obama points out that corporations and oil companies need to give up subsidies, he’s portrayed by the media as a dictator or some socialist. He said the media should be ashamed of the poor and crap job they are doing. That they are being disingenious to the American people. He said technically taxes aren’t going up, the rich had a break for ten years and now it’s time to go back to the Clinton tax rates. He went hard and it was funny to see Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan SHUT DOWN. They were quiet and didn’t have a rebuttal for several minutes. Brilliant!
Thank you for bringing us this gem re Russell Simmons. So many of us who have given up cable would miss the rare good stuff coming out of it were it not for commenters like you.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Russell Simmons
And to think I turned away from Morning Joke before Simmons came on and missed all that. Did Mika faint? We’ve got to find this replay, Chips, if MSNBC puts it up. Think I’ll give Russell a shout on twitter.
And Chips, here’s a story on Michelle Bachmann spending as much money as a family might earn in a month on hair and make-up. this story needs to go viral too.

They were probably ‘scurred’ of the loud, scary, thug, gangsta rapper black man.
more so from the words that came out of his mouth….and the intensity of his spirit,,,,,,,,,,
Damn, that is one time I would have given anything to watch Morning Joke. Even if that tape is put up, I won’t be able to see it because I have no freaking audio. Darn!!
Gosh, that sounded like he took it to them. I heard that Mika’s dad was also on there and said that Boehner missed an opportunity to be a statesman last night. Did you see that part, UT?
Thanks for the clear explanation about Simmons.
Saw it. Here’s the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434/#43893294
LOL I went by Starbucks and got me a coffee this morning after this Morning’s Morning Joe.
On my second reading of this post, UT, I am so overjoyed to hear that Simmons took it to the media.
The media is indeed responsible for unleashing the teapartiers on us. But more importantly, they cover this story as if both parties are to blame when in fact, the Republican Congress are the ones who manufactured the whole darn crisis. And it is all because they hate themselves, some President Obama.
All the while, the media makes it see as if they are doing the people’s job. Not.
BriWi was on Letterman last night and started out with the BS “both sides do it” meme media love so much but he did go on to say his life has been very blessed and he feels he should pay more in taxes. He said he never finished college but has made a great life for him and his family and most people in this bracket feel they owe more to help those who are less fortunate. Letterman agreed.
Who is BriWi?
Probably Brian Williams. NBC Nightly News Anchor.
Great! One thing though. It is NOT just the TEABAGGERS that signed Grover’s pledge, it is nearly ALL REPUBLICANS>>>>ACROSS the BOARD! Don’t let them off that easy, it’s not just 100 nutbags, it’s several HUNDRED NUTBAG TRAITORS!
That is great to hear. I’m so glad Russell Simmons told those folks the truth.
Now the phone lines are jammed and about to crash. Keep going ppl
Forgot to sign in so this will show up twice. I turned away from Morning Joke before Russell came on. Sorry I missed this. Chips can we see if we can get the video of this? That is if MSNBC puts it up.
And here’s a story that needs to go viral about Bachmann spending as much money on her hair and make-up as a family earns in a month.

South Carolina GOP Official ‘Likes’ Cop-Killing On Facebook
http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011/07/26/278941/south-carolina-gop-official-cop-killing/
Tried to email my wild-eyed, outrageous congressman, Joe Walsh, last night and kept getting error message. Emailed early this a.m. from me and mr. dotster
, and I just got through on the phone after about 10 busy signals. I tried to be as polite as I could stand to be but I made myself very clear, to stop this reckless behavior, start acting like an adult, to seek agreement, stop holding middle class and U.S. credit rating hostage with this Repub-manufactured crisis. It is especially irritating because Obama won this district—-55% to 42%—-and doesn’t our rep. have a duty to represent his constituents and not his own narrow-minded, extremist agenda? This dude needs to go—–I think the Il. Dems have already taken care of him in re-districting. So long, Walsh, not been good to know ya. In fact, it’s been freaky.
I am glad to here that. i live in chicago, and i have been tweeting every illinois representat and joe walsh and i have a b attle. did you know his own home is on the foreclosure list. he have not payed his mortgatge
Maybe Walsh is trying to get something from the Government.
I just read over at huffington puke that he has filed for bankruptcy protection. He has tax liens on his property.
Maybe he should try getting his house in order before he finishes wreaking Our House.
Another story to make viral. New poll shows America trusts Pres Obama more than GOP on debt ceiling 46-34. Please spread this.

I called my tea bagger rep last night and left a message – I called while POTUS was at the end of his speech- thus prolly why I was able to get through.. I will be calling all ND reps throughout the day and emailing them… and Boehner and Cantor.
My Senators websites are crashed…..my e-mail attempts failed. Will keep at it, and will continue daily to prod my Republican representative in the house. I call and e-mail him often, I suspect my comments fall on deaf ears, as he tows the party line. I usually ask him to respond in writing to my questions or positions, but that doesn’t seem to be something he has time for. He really gnaws on my nerves.
I am one of those that has the urge to protest in person, does anyone on this site have information or knowledge about organizing a protest . I’ld fly to Washington in a heart beat. Of course one lonely protestor won’t make an impact. Rev Sharpton’s organization National Action Network has a march planned for August 27th it would be great to reinforce and swell their ranks. I am curious if anyone from this community is aware of and considering participating in this march.
Call a member of the Tea Party Caucus – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_Caucus – and tell them not to support Boehner’s latest bill, that it’s Washington as usual and a typical sell out. Say you want a Balanced Budget Amendment and more cuts now.
If the TPC votes against this bill, Boehner will lose his last gambit – his plan is to get this passed and to the Senate where he wants to peel off four Dem votes in order to then get it to the President’s desk. Then either the President signs the brutal bill and the safety net is forever ravaged or he doesn’t and the Government defaults and the plan is then to try and impeach him for not paying America’s debts.
Why would you want a BBA? What about emergencies???
Hi desertflower,
StR doesn’t want a BBA – what he is describing is an interesting strategy which is for many of us to call teabagger Reps and urge them in all the faux teabagger outrage we can muster to not support Boehner’s plan because it doesn’t contain a BBA and doesn’t go far enough in cuts, etc. If you’re able to get a staffer in one of the teabagger’s offices on the line, keep talking as long as you can to tie up their lines.
Interesting approach
Interesting is right:) He had me worried there!
I don’t know if I could do that…I’d rather call Boner and tell him to forget the 100 baggers and get the support of the other 335 other reps! Leave the idiots out of the equation!
Finally got through to both of Allan West’s offices and let my voice be heard. At one office they asked for my name and address- bc supposedly they put it in the system for him to see it along with my comment- which I proudly gave. But given West’s temperament and his public hatred of women, don’t be surprised if you never hear from me again
I told another receptionist in his West Palm office that compromise is important, that we all do it in our lives. I said I make compromises everyday and I’m sure there are compromises she’s made in her own life. I said I didn’t want to have to pay higher interest rates on my school loans and I didn’t want old women to have to pay more for their medicare. I told her compromise was the key and that if didn’t work out it would be because of a Washington(Repug) manufactured crisis and that the American people would hold him accountable for either his action (actively blocking compromise) or his inaction (sitting on his ass while the country burns to the ground). Of course that creep doesn’t care about me. He’s full of power and pettiness. I just wanted him to know that we were watching him and what we were seeing didn’t look good. Also called Rubio and let him know that even though he isn’t in the House of Dysfunction, he needs to play an active roll in doing what’s best for all Americans. Told him to persuade his colleagues to do right by the American people because that’s what he got sent to Washington to do. Of course he doesn’t care what I think but it helps to know that I’ve at least issued my warning so that come 2012, when my boots are so far up their asses they can’t see, smell, touch or taste, I will at least have been able to say: “See, I told you so.”
I say we do not let up….at this time my Senators and Reps websites are not responding. But even once they are up, I say we keep the pressure on day in and out, until the issue has been reasonably resolved, and no, blowing up our economy and our Democracy is not a reasonable solution.
I am with those that have stated they do not need to listen to the opining of cable pundits, and program hosts. They are peddling influence, they are not accurate sources of reliable information. I am glad Russell Simmons spoke up and spoke truth to power. Our MSM serves a master that is neither truth, or a healthy Democracy. We should all turn them off.
I say we keep it up every day until we have a deal.
I say we do this everyday until the rat bastards are outta there and we take the house back and get shit done again….do it as often and routinely as brushing your teeth….they can’t think this is a one shot deal and were back to business as usual, that we’re not paying attention. Doing our civic duty is a full time job. Someone has to, THEY certainly aren’t:)
WORD!
WORD X 2……we can not turn our backs, or become satisfied and complacent, or worse defeated. Nor can we expect President Obama to do this alone, shouldering the responsibilities of others. He has told us all along this is about us being the force we are capable of being.
I am the first to admit politics is aggravating, frustrating and hard….but like President Obama’s desk plaque says, “Hard things are hard.” That fact does not erase our responsibilities to remain engaged and to do all that we can to shape the America we all share.
THAT”S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE!!!!!!:) That’s the spirit. EVERY DAY. ALL DAY. WHATEVER IT TAKES. WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THIS COURSE. WE, ARE THE PEOPLE! WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. WE WILL NOT GO AWAY. WE WILL NOT LET THESE IDIOTS TAKE OUR DREAMS, ASPIRATIONS FOR A BETTER AMERICA.WE CAN DO THIS. YES.WE.CAN!!!!
i sent emails to all in my address book….i twittered my congress people …and sent email to those Representatives who do not have twitter….and i promise to do this every day,,,,,

WOW, this is stunning!
Gov. Jerry Brown picks UC Berkeley law professor Goodwin Liu for California Surpeme Court.
This was a PBO nominee whose confirmation went nowhere in the Senate.
That is great news!!!
From twitter:
Sen. Coats: “The phone is ringing off the hook, as well as e-mails pouring in. We’re in the 1000s here. Staff is besieged.”
He is a Republican from Indiana. KEEP GOING!!
Coats is my carpet-bagging, tea-bagging senator. I gave his assistant holy heck with I called. He’s never even had a town hall meeting in this state. Can’t stand him.
So here is what I think will play out. Reid will wait for a vote on Boehner’s plan. By all accounts, it will fail. I hope it fails miserably. Even if it passes, which is highly doubtful, it will never pass the Senate. Then Reid will be left with the only hope and he will introduce his plan in the Senate. The choice will be either pass Reid’s plan or default. So I believe we have a fighting chance. This will all be very tense and high wire with all the theatrics you can imagine, so ask your Senators to stand up for Reid’s plan and let’s get this thing behind us.
I think it will pass the House, Cantor is whipping the vote – likely telling teabaggers that it’s part of their strategy to defat Obama and if they’re successful than they’ll get all they want and more in the future. But that they really need this to pass now, and then hope it could get 4 votes in the Senate. If it dies in the House today, their play dies with it. I can’t see it failing.
I think Boehner is poised to lose the Speakership. That is another hidden agenda. We’ll know soon enough!
If Cantor’s plan is to the steal the Speakership….would he want Boehner’s bill to pass….
I think there is no controlling how the House Repubs will vote and Cantor knows this because he helped foment some of it. I think he’s playing both sides.
You are correct, meta. As noted by Steve Benen:
“Right-wing activist groups are still against it, and in fact, the Heritage Foundation began lobbying against it today. Also, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), inexplicably a leading presidential candidate, announced her opposition today as well. [Update: The Club for Growth has announced it also wants GOP lawmakers to reject Boehner’s plan.]”

And, headline at Yahoo Finance just now:
Conservative revolt casts doubt on House GOP plan
Conservative opposition casts doubt on House Republican plan to avert debt crisis
“Flanked by conservative colleagues, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told reporters he could not back the Boehner proposal and said it doesn’t have the votes to pass. In a two-step plan, Boehner is pressing for a vote on Wednesday and a second vote Thursday on a balanced-budget amendment to the Constitution.
“We think there are real problems with this plan,” said Jordan, who heads the Republican Study Group. He argued that the spending cuts are insufficient and expressed opposition to likely tax increases.
“If I had to vote right now, my vote would be no,” said Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla.”

I recommend everyone do everything they can to support the teabagger revolt – Boehner’s bill must fail and the fastest way for that to happen is for the entire teabagger caucus to vote against it.
Yes.We.Can. … DO.More.Together!
Excellent update. Thanks so much, Bobfr.
Soooooooooooo….
the questiion is …
can Leader Pelosi forge an alliance between some stray Republicans and Democrats …to support the Reid Bill…for the President to sign…
Yes, that is the $64,000 question.
Call the blue dog Senate Democrat who don’t stand with the President. Cause if they pass the Republican bill, Obama will be trap. These are really the only ones that matter.
Who are the Bluedog Dem Senators?
You know what, everybody takes a bad photo every once in a while. But John Boehner seem to ALWAYS look like that.
Just sayin…
Yikes! He looks like a drunk clown. As Joe would say, “God love him,” he looks exactly like what he is. It’s nice to see that what’s on the inside can so accurately be reflected on the outside.
On first sight, Assclown immediately entered my mind. Tough way to start the day.
I have such an intolerance for liars, Boehner will never redeem himself in my book. I may forgive but I will not forget.

I tried to listen for awhile and all the reporters are asking is where is Obama’s plan, why isn’t it out there. Don’t they know that it comes from Congress, why does he have to write the bills. I am sick of them all. I turned it off.
seriously? where have these jackals been for the last three weeks? Matter of fact, where have they been for the last three years? Every plan PBO has set forward or embraced has been eviscerated by the repugs. This is getting tiring, all the repug meme being set forward by the so called press is sickening. They are a drain on our society.
Me too MTm, couldn’t take it. Jay’s good, but I feel sorry for him.
Jay is really great, but these guys who call themselves reporters are all whores. I usually don’t talk to vile but I am really tired of the corporations talking points. Don’t they understand about this country? They are all bought and paid for.
You got that right MT; nothing but a bunch of media ho’s they is (ne’mind my ebonics,
).
Jay is amazing. He doesn’t get rattled for the most part and argues persuasively against a room full of self-serving twerps.
What a pathetic group of gossip columnists pretending to be real journalists. I torture myself with these briefings because Jay is just wonderful. He has the patience of Job. I don’t know how he stands the jackals.
And another thing, what is up with Chuck Todd? Has he lost his mind? I think I will send him the Center for Budget Priority Policy response on Speaker Boehners budget. They say it is essentially “class warfare”. Chuck might learn something. He was being coy demanding that President Obama provide a plan, he knows how the process works. I was glad that Jay called him out on it.
I was livid when he was shaking his hand at President Obama at one of the press conferences last week. He was almost taunting the president. Chuck needs to take it down a notch.
They’re haters, all of them. I have totally lost respect for Chuckie, nobody, Todd. I will never watch him again.

Somewhat OT: Sarah Palin movie going to Pay Per View
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/palin-undefeated-tanks-heads-pay-per-view-193115807.html
They should just put this piece of crap out of it’s misery. They certainly lost money off this. I think she has seen her 15 minutes of fame and it’s over.
She’s a more blatant whore than I thought she was.
The word on the street is that Joe McGinnis’s book , “The Rogue” willl be the final nail in her political coffin. The book is due out September 20th. Sadly we have had to endure her for far to long, and for little if any legitimate reason. The Republican party, the MSM, and her religious promoters have much to answer for, they were the air in her balloon. Hopefully they will be exposed along with her.
OT**************** THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE OFF TV FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CALL MSNBC!!!

Flower….
this is a reminder that ideas like his have not gone away…sometimes they go underground…but then events happen to bring them back to the fore…
He has always been this way. He is a most disgusting excuse for a human being, and the fact that MSNBC gives him so much air time to spew his vile venom, like he’s the old, wise political veteran, makes me sick!
He is disgusting, I wrote MSNBC and challenged their continued employment of him and their willingness to amplify his ideology. I said it would be one thing if they concerned themselves with presenting a legitimate debate of his positions, but providing him an unchallenged platform was ethically wrong and politically biased. But that will fall on deaf ears, their master is their corporate bottom line, it is neither truth nor journalistic integrity. The MSM are whores for dollars, IMO it is that simple.
However it is IMO far better that his ideas be exposed, than allowed to fester insidiously. But our MSM seems incapable or unwilling to challenge such extreme thinking, particularily those that are incongruent with the precepts of equality and religious freedom that are part of America’s core values.
This is where the’ tweeterat’i comes in to MSNBC. He has nothing to contribute, really. Time for Buchanan to be cut loose. Highly insensitive talk considering all those innocents who died.
I emailed MSNBC. This is beyond the pale!
Nancy Pelosi: “They don’t just want to make cuts, they want to destroy. They want to destroy food safety, clean air, clean water, the department of education. They want to destroy your rights.”
atta girl Mizz Nancy from Cali!!!!!
—- Nancy is nobody’s fool. Our girl can taste the Speakership. It’s right there waiting for her, just at the tip of her fingers, she can feel it!!! Don’t worry Nancy, you’ll be clutching that gavel and banging heads in no time!!!!
President Obama pays respects at Norway ambassador residence:

Republicans are still feeling the heat. I just tried for the umpteenth time to email my worthless rep. “Site unavailable.” So I just clicked onto my state (Illinois) list of representatives. When I clicked on any Dem rep, their site popped up. I clicked on every Repub rep, and the same thing happened every time: “Site unavailable.” I hope they’re shitting their pants.
Here’s hoping we are witnessing the beginning of the Decline and Fall of the Turd Reich!
I just saw Congressman Walsh …..MSNBC….say that if this goes past August 2nd that would be alright with him….
can we please, please, please tar and feather him? I mean come on. In the old revolutionary days (ala the Tea Party), that’s exactly what WE THE PEOPLE would do. So in keeping with this revolutionary state of mind, I submit to you all, for a vote, the proposition that we T&F our local band of lackwit hooligan Teahadists. What say you?
I found the same when I tried to get on my congressman Rehberg. No site available. When I called the local office the voicemail came on for the Great Falls office. I was very nice in my message. I have a feeling the mailbox is full for the Missoula office.
Rep. Steve King (Iowa) expressed frustration at continued use of the threat of government default in a tweet on Monday:
STOP talking about default. The 1st dime of each $1 of revenue services debt. Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments. C C
& B!.
Time to call this idiot……202-225-4426
This guy is such an idiot.
Kasai, I read that too. The GOP are like a wounded Lion and they’re dangerous m#fo#! We have to fight back with a knock out punch! If they try to go that route with impeaching…it’ll be on & poppin. There will be massive protests like the country has never seen!
Kasai, I called and this rude jerk in his office listen for a second and cut me off. I am not a lady to play especially with rude behavior from little rude fools. Oh, believe me I will get through. I know how to do this. Do not be rude to me especially when I am very polite.
Go get’em, HZ!
Pelosi Rips Into GOP Over Debt Negotiations
I love Nancy Pelosi. She is my hero. As Speaker of the House she got the job done. Every other week there was a bill signing. She is amazing. We have to do all that we can to get that gavel back into her hands where it belongs. The future of the country depends on it.
The six months of Republican Party rule in the House of Representatives is culminating in a national disaster. I don’t know how anyone could ever vote for a Republican again. There is something twisted and sick about this anti-government obsession of the GOP.
I just called…the secretary just told me..I didn’t know what I am talking about?????
Please call……202-225-4426 lines are open, This guy really needs to hear from us….He’s the most racist of the pack
called, got through, said my piece and I could tell the guy didn’t give a crap. I doubt he’ll be delivering my message, even though it was rated G: no cussing, no attitude, no spice, no vinegar, just even tempered and thoughtful. Lackawit.
What? They’re brazen!
Republican Leaders Voted for Debt They Blame on Obama

now if only one of the ignorant talking chimney-pots had the balls to say that on teevee. What a difference that would make. But of course, they don’t. Pack of good-for-nothing so-and-sos!
ps- I’ve decided to cut back on the cussing…….let’s see how long that lasts
That is one sick looking picture of that orange bastard Boehner.
