more bad news for huntsman: jeb bush jr has endorsed him

All Huntsman needs to finish him off is the support of Jeb Jr’s dad and uncle:

Miami Herald: With cellar-dwelling poll numbers and a campaign shake-up to boot, Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman plans a “major announcement” on Wednesday morning in South Florida: The endorsement of Jeb Bush Jr.

His campaign said Bush Jr. will serve as national co-chair of GenH, with the mission to reach out to young people. Also joining the campaign is Republican political strategist Ana Navarro, of Miami. Her title: National Hispanic Chairperson….

Oh, good grief. What a mess these people are. And just the thought of the Bush Family grosses me out.

Well… The REAL power brokers in America have decided to push Huntsman. Not surprised. I’ve been thinking for months they would do this. Perry will just be a distraction.

Actually I think this is a good “get” for Huntsman, as it will bring some publicity to his campaign. Nobody is a break away favorite for Florida and Jeb will help Huntsman a lot there.

I don’t know what Jeb gets out of it though, I mean if he himself wants to run in 2016, why endorse anybody now who could run against him in 2016? Hell why endorse anybody and help them potentially win now unless he has given up any hope of running himself and would rather settle for a good cabinet spot.

It is the former governor’s son who is endorsing Huntsman, not Jeb himself.

Huntsman is DOA. It doesn’t matter who endorses him. I don’t care what Jeb’s goal is because with this endorsement he just made himself irrelevant to 2012 election.

I’m with you, askew. The President and his team know what to do with these GOP candidates. I’m not giving them any cred.

    Good Morning Everyone

Time to start reading some encouraging news and spreading it around.

Michael Bloomberg: Obama Is ‘Our President’ And ‘He Needs Our Support’

THANK YOU, What is Working. Indeed. Let’s shine light on the encouraging news and give it room to grow.

Thank you so much for the Bloomberg link and the link to contact him. I appreciate that very much. I may not vote for him, but I sure do contribute to deserving out-of-state candidates when I can. There are often phone banks so that out-of-state volunteers can make calls. Our ability to create communities and influence others has changed so much in the last few years. It’s an interesting development.

Re-posting from an earlier thread for people who are upset about the neverending Obama bashing on all 3 cable nets and want to know what to do to stop it:

Remember that the audience for cable news show is very tiny. Most Americans still get their news from their local media coverage (TV and print) and the national news on the big 3 networks (NBC, ABC, CBS). So, instead of wasting our time on the cable nets which have very low audience #s, we should be watching the the big 3 networks and local media. When they are factually wrong, we call them out in twitter, e-mails and phone calls.

We could set-up a list of shows/newspapers to monitor and when reporters do something right or wrong we alert everyone and tweet, email and call. We call them out using facts, no name calling, no ALL CAPS, no hyperbole (Obama’s the best president EVER!!!!!), etc.

This is what the conservatives did. They had focused campaigns on the select big national newspapers (NYT, WP, USA Today) and the big 3 TV News shows and they spent a lot of time working the local media which is more responsive to criticism.

Concentrating on MSNBC or CNN is a waste of time. They aren’t going to change their ways.

    That’s my solution anyways.

So they decide to throw in an hispanic just to add a ‘mix’ to it. This hispanic doesn’t buy it. That’s like a bigot saying, “well, I have black friends.”

Ewwww just to see that name turns my stomach.

I’m still thinking about Chris Matthew, his 180 turn on the President. I swear something is up. Now is worst than any teabaggers.

I used to love Ron Reagan, not anymore, no way. The President needs support, not this crap.

When he was going on and on with Chris Matthews about not knowing what the President stand for, now he’s like a mystery to them, what a joke!, I swear I thought I was back in 2008.

I would like to ask these hypocrites a few questions.

-What do the President stand for on torture?
Do you think he’s like Georges Bush?, Oh right he didn’t close Gitmo because he didn’t want to,
    - not because people like Bernie Sanders (the left hero) voted against funding’s.

-What about tax cuts on millionaires and billionaires? Oh right he extended the Bush tax cuts because he wanted too,
-not because the cowards Democrats didn’t want to vote on that before the hostage taking by the Rep, when the Pres. asked them too and of course lets not mention about the extension of Unemployment benefits, DADT, 911 bills and whatever what’s in the deal.

-What about the debt ceiling bill? Oh right, he didn’t put tax increases for the rich because he didn’t want too.
-not because the Teabaggers are insane and wanted the US to defaults and the cowards Democrats didn’t want to deal with it in 2010 when they had the leverage to raise the debt ceilling.

And on and on and on. They are such hypocrites. I know what the President stand for!

A good cabinet spot in another life time for Mr. Bush. Huntsman will not win the nomination. Jeb Bush is testing the waters through Huntsman for a potential run.

Sue, I’m missing something in your comments above. What did Jeb do/not do? I do remember that it was a 7 year ordeal and hated her circumstances being politicized by the pro-life group. Understood the parents’ pain of not wanting to lose their daughter.

IN MY OPINION SHE WAS STILL COGNISANT AND RESPONDING TO HER PARENTS WHO WANTED TO TAKE CARE OF HER. THE HUSBAND HAD A NEW LIFE IN LINE. TERRI SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT TO THE CARE OF HER PARENTS. IT WAS SHAMEFUL.

Love ya Sue and always enjoy your comments but I have to disagree here. The governments insertion of itself into a private matter was the official point where our elected officials surrendered duty to tea baggery.

I have to agree w/ Tao here, Sue. The adminstration’s use of this case/family was what I considered shameful — they were using any means necessary to rile their “base” and this family was yet another means to that end. And equal dose of that shame to those pro-lifers. With a 20/20 hindsight, I believe Terri’s parents would have dealt with this in a totally different way & kept it all in the private realm.

I respectfully disagree. I already wrote in my own living will that if I were ever to be in that same position I wanted my spouse to make the same decision. I want to move on.

The government should have no role in my decision.

Well, I have said it before, Chipsticks, I just love Your headlines.
How on earth can Huntsmann be so naive thinking endorsement from any member of the Bush family will be of help, and it is fantastic, that the Bush family does not have any self-criticism making them staying out of the arena - specially after the disastrous presidency of GWB, but down to basic they are all just puppets, and therefore the integrity of President Obama is such a thorn in the eyes of a lot of people.
    Landslide Obama/Biden 2012!
