That’s a slick looking bus.
Obama Shifts Gears From Coaxing G.O.P. to Swaying the Public
By JOHN HARWOOD
========Excerpt======================
In the Iowa straw poll over the weekend, a candidate who opposes raising the country’s debt limit under any circumstances (Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota) edged out a candidate who supports abolishing the Federal Reserve (Representative Ron Paul of Texas). Every Republican candidate in a debate before the straw poll pledged to oppose any tax increase — even if paired with spending cuts 10 times as big.
That leaves even some of Mr. Obama’s fiercest critics helping him make the public argument he will sound again on this week’s bus tour.
“If taxes cannot be raised under any circumstances, then we have veered from economic policy to religious catechism,” Peter Wehner, a former deputy to Karl Rove in Mr. Bush’s White House, wrote for Commentary.
He continued, “There is something amiss when the political pressure in a party, any party, is so intense that it prevents a serious intellectual conversation from even taking place.”

Go to the people, Mr. President. May God’s blessings me with you and the people as you travel around to speak and listen to them. Take the message to the people. I love my President. Have a great day my TOD family. I love you all.HZ
Hahahahahaha. I love it. “WORLD’S BIGGEST OBAMA SUPPORTER.” Literally! Oh this 3 day economic bus tour is going to be S-U-P-E-R-B. By the way the bus looks fierce. It’s like another version of “THE BEAST.”
I remember that big guy from the campaign. I see he still has his t shirt and he is still big and a happy Obama supporter.
We grow them big here in Minnesota. I come from a family of “trees” although we come up short of this young man. I am so happy the President is gracing our state with a personal visit. More than not, my state supports and believes in this President.
OMG…….I LOVE that bus!!!!!
Cute tall guy with cheerleaders too.
I love. I agree Uliberal the bus is a beast
The setting in Cannon Falls does indeed look “idyllic” as described by Star Trib, blogger, people sitting at picnic tables with table cloths in heavily wooded park beside a lake, some sitting on bleachers, music playing familiar campaign tunes. Most have supporting signs but there are always those like the teabagger lady who said when she heard the Obama advance team asked local restaurants to donate food for today’s event, she told them, “Buy your own damn food.” Typical sweetie pie from the teabaggers, which have to be the coldest, most hateful souls in America.
I prefer the real sweet face of the little girl in photo above looking up at Obama with such admiration. I prefer good and nice, the Obama supporters.
Awwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!! that little girl expression is Priceless…God bless the innocent children ..as they can see PBO’s warm loving heart
Fired UP Ready to Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that bus is BANGING!!! it’s awesome and PBO looks uber sexified.
Chips Your ROck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t Thank you enough for your reporting and the pics are awesome….We Love you:-) and there’s nothing you can do about it…LOL
Love ya right back Kasai!!!!!
he looks so handsome here. i just like the way he looks here. -PRESIDENTIAL
Damn — now THAT’s a bus. Slick! Gon’ ‘head with your bad self, Mr. President
!
I see Al Franken (love him!) and Rep. Keith Ellison on crutches (love him, too!). Despite being the home of nutjobs like Bachmann, Minnesota also has some awesome politicians. Hope they remember that and strengthen their progressives.
I’m very glad that so many of our politicians are of the ilk of franken, klobuchar, ellison. I wish I could have been in Cannon Falls – it’s a nice little town and my husband and I go biking or canoeing down the river there.
Holy mackeral Chipsticks! I went away to work today and when I got back there’s so much stuff to pour through! Woo-hoo! I better go get busy! Thanks!
He mentions the Buffet oped article!!!
Thank goodness the weather is beautiful in the Midwest this week. While I watch him speak with the grass and water behind him on the screen, I just want to be THERE. Everyone should be in a wonderful mood.
I went to the Star Tribune to read the blog, then went through the comments which were near 90% negative. In Minnesota? One of my daughters and her husband lived there for several years. But it was in Minneapolis which seemed to be forward looking, progressive, very education-minded. I hope the president manages to drum up some support in the two rural areas he’s visiting — they seem to be needing work.
I once read that the Rep party is well organized and has been for years, to dominate the comments sections of newspapers. I’m sure this transferred to blogs as technology moved on. Their infrastructure has been developed over decades. I was told by some CT Dem operatives that our party is finally starting to catch up, that all campaigning action is twofold – to support whichever candidate, PLUS to set up practices for future campaigns. They did not seem to believe the LTE business was a huge priority.
Forgot to mention that the president looks very good in those tan pants and dark jacket! Very, very good.
Look we got us one Good Looking, Handsome President. He has Personality, Charisma, People Skills, and Smiles that goes a long way. He’s Dang sho’ Impressive. He’s down right good at what he does. Wowwwwww, Mr Prez, you got It going on, and on, and on. I love you President Obama, and I just can’t help It
Heres something funny.. when I was in Rochester 4 years ago at Mayo Clinic.. I actually saw this gentleman.. I didn’t know who he was then.. but he’s really hard to miss, and I recall him now. I’m sooo enjoying this townhall today- I love this format for POTUS as he is so bloody smart and the audience is almost always informed and asking good questions.
Obama 2012!!!!
Great shots of our President.
Wanted to share this wonderful video with you, produced by SEIU (my husband’s union). spread it around.

PBO..is too cute…..Did you hear him say….”Of course I care”….in regards to OBAMACARE…
Thanks for all the great picture Ms. Chips! It was so exciting to see him. I can’t wait for the “real” campaign as well. I know that the other side will be totally unreasonable but I’d rather listen to him than those cowards on MSM.
You’re completely welcome princessk26, feeling trebly fired up today!
Is there a such thing as a bus-gasm?
ROFL @ Tien Le – bus-gasm indeed. The bus is FAB tho to go with his ‘fabness’. God Bless Mr Prez.
Just got home from work. I’ve been missing all the action going on in my own state! The President is looking good and that bus is slick. What happened to Keith Ellison? Why is he on crutches? Amy and Al look as happy as can be. Love that big guy! OK lots of catching up to do.
Thanks Chipsticks!
Rep Steve King probably mugged him…..snark (but I wouldn’t put it past him).
Steve King can just get used to Keith Ellison because he is in one of the safest Democratic seats in the state. He’s going to be around for a looong time and that’s a good thing because he’s a stellar person and a great Dem.
