In case you missed the updated posts below, here are today’s townhalls:
****

Ryan Rhodes from the Iowa Teabagger Revolution argues with President Obama during a town hall-style event at Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa.
Rhodes is a Bachmann groupie. Say no more.

Ryan? Go ***kkk yourself

is there a transcript of this exchange? is it in this video? if so, what minute?
I was wondering the same…at the very least we know this man is rude, and obnoxious in the way he conducts himself.
Of course, the media will ensure that the Ryan Rhodes encounter will get all of the attention while they ignore the rest of the town hall questions and answers.
He’ll be on Fox no doubt, probably Hannity. Of course Fox will want to give tacit approval – “you heckle the President and we’ll interview you on Fox” in hopes President Obama is heckled non-stop.
StR, don’t leave out Morning Joe. This was that Tea Party B.S. that they pull all through the Healthcare debate. Standing up being rude and yelling, shouting to get attention.
We won’t let them get away with it.
Yep, it is the “front page” on AP this morning. You called it.
Maybe he was extra special cranky today —–altho it’s hard to tell with the always irate tea party—-because his idea of a great presidential candidate, Ms. Marcus, was exposed as a big liar about that family farm. She’s always said she had no income but financial disclosure forms reveal the opposite. This is the family farm which has collected $260,000 in subsidies—–thought she was ‘sposed to hate that stuff—-and is currently valued at between a half a mill and a million bucks. These Repubs, do they tell the truth about anything?
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/la-pn-bachmann-disclosure-20110815,0,6520326.story
The hypocrisy of Bachmann is indescribable.
it’s not in the video above but it’s on the cspan website. the second townhall, last question toward the end.
Our president was magnificent today. This Rhodes character can jump off a cliff.
May God bless President Obama and his team with sweet dreams tonight for they did a marvelous job today. And so did you Chipsticks!
Too bad he didn’t put his hands into his pockets…
I just can’t even remotely imagine being impressed by an imbecile like Bachmann. Republicans give me the creeps.
So far so good. The townhalls have been off to a fantastic start and hopefully they all continue on in the same vein. As for Ryan Rhodes of Teabagger nation, he can go f-himself; the a-hole. When the townhall began, PBO clearly said, please raise your hand and I will do my best to call on as many people as I can. Towards the end of the townhall, PBO looked towards his right because he had only called like one person from that section. This teabagger fool stood up and began yelling about PBO’s supposed “unreasonable” rhetoric. PBO told him sir, please wait your turn. Then Reggie told him he only had time for one more question and the guy kept yelling like a jackal. PBO finally told him he would speak with him at the end of the townhall and called on that wonderful young man who asked that brilliant last question. At the end of the townhall, when PBO was working the rope line, this teabagger fool kept yelling at PBO. PBO answered his question in a reasonable manner and the people around PBO who heard his answer burst into spontaneous clapping; one woman even went so far as to pat PBO repeatedly on his back, nod her head and smile as proof positive that she agreed with PBO. After PBO finished answering the teabagger’s question, he still kept yelling, so PBO walked away. Correct thing to do in my opinion. The teabagger was trying to attract media attention and make a nuisiance of the success that was PBO’s townhall. The jackass.
thanks for the recap on that UT. Far as I’m concerned when you’re yelling at the President of The United States, he can walk away from you.. don’t care who is POTUS at the time. But frankly to be rude to President Obama is sickening, the man is ALWAYS respectful and to pull this nonsense is childish and ignorant- glad POTUS walked. Do you know what the creep’s question was?
His question was something about rhetoric. Someone had asked PBO why it seemed like the GOP controlled the conversation even when they were being stubborn and why doesn’t PBO try to match them in their unreasonableness. PBO said when he hears people in the media saying that his policies and his long term trajectory for this nation are great but he’s too reasonable, he finds that very weird. He then said “I make NO apologies for being reasonable.” After a while the teabagger jackass got up and began yelling that PBO doesn’t conduct discussions using reasonable rhetoric and he demands to ask him a question. He kept being so obnoxious, that the SS guys wanted to take him out of the venue, but PBO stalled them saying it was okay. The idiot was lucky.
That teabag fool just went there to try to cause trouble. He didn’t , he thought he was going to get to President Obama, but the President answer his question and walk on to more important sane people. This teabag fool has no business talking about rhetoric, have he listen to that nutty Bachmann trashing President Obama. But the President handle things like a cool wise fellow would. Great start for the bus tour.
I found that on the T-party site
Contact Ryan Rhodes 515-441-0173 Rhodes4rep@gmail.com
I wish people would go to every places he goes for a week and yell at him
I just sent Rhodes an email. Kind of giving me the creeps to even contact him, but he needs to know his actions were a disgusting reflection on him not the President.
This is the email response I got this morning (I had ended my email by saying “We’ll pray for you”:
“My soul is taken care of I prefer you pray for our country in this critical time.”
Please, guys, since apparently Rhodes gets his emails, let’s load up his inbox!
That’s exactly what he wanted –to be escorted out so he could make news. He did not get that wish for a 15 minutes of fame.. PBO nipped that in the bud. These people just don’t know who they are up against, media and all.
PBO is swifter than an swiss blade.
This guy doesn’t know Obama very well. He doesn’t put out hecklers. He addresses them and moves on.
Yes make them stay and listen. Good strategy.
Ahhh thanks for that.. I remember the part when POTUS talked about being reasonable- excellent answer. Tea Bagger was obviously trying to rile President Obama and also under the mistaken impression that his fellow audience would put up with his bs.
GM TOD Family….coffee brewing….
I find that fascinating…that the press…the Pseudo-Left….both white and black….want him to rant and rave and be unreasonable….that a reasonable man is a weak man….but as we talked about….he must always take the high road….but aside from that….i am glad that the President addressed that question…..
in this time of excess….of sensationalism…of trying to shout out your opponent….Our Presidnet stands head and shoulder above them all…
Just another rude, crazy moving in too close for comfort. Remember Joe the P.(Can’t stand that person. Another J.T.P. move. These fools are no match for this President. So much hate, but we have the counter punch. Love, pray for them and move on. There are people who really need questions to be heard and the President wants to answer those people who need help. That is why I call them”evil foolish people.” That is my take on it. HZ
thanks ut for yet another thorough and informative update.
President Obama is a remarkable human being. I like to say he is just good inside. It really angers me that this Ryan Rhodes character was so disrespectful of our president. He should be ashamed of himself. He could learn something about character, dignity and grace from PBO.
I doubt he has any sense of shame. Something I struggled with for so long with the likes of Palin and her minions. I quite trying to understand how it is possible to be a human being and not have some sense of responsiblity to other human beings ….I quit, it’s pointless, they do not demonstrate any capacity for empathy or compassion. Maybe these are the 25% of our population that are considered sociopaths.
Pretty fancy suit the guy had on, fancy shades….I agree with StR he should put his hands in his pockets, lucky he didn’t hurt someone with them, the way they seemed to be flailing.
Hahaha Sue. What Str meant was that he wished the guy put his hands in his pockets; meaning he would have posed a credible threat againt PBO and the SS would have bum rushed him and tackled him to the ground or maybe gone lethal.
Oh …DOH…..I feel foolish.
No need, Sue. How are you today?
Awesome, still riding the big wave of energy that President Obama graced our state with yesterday. I love this man and everybody that gets him.
……love will keep us together, think of our Prez whenever…..some trash talking man comes around, we’ll be singing our song, we don’t mess around, we gotta stay strong……Love will keep us together
Did anyone catch Rhode’s moll insisting that the Oklahoma bombing was the responsibility of left-wing enviornmental terrorists…….Yikes.
And here’s proof of more love for President Obama as he emerged from Decorah hotel this a.m.:
http://globegazette.com/news/iowa/obama-continues-iowa-tour/article_c6ebc01a-c818-11e0-90ff-001cc4c03286.html
if he did put his hands in hid pockets the Secret Service would have been all over him
Many on the right are still upset about President Bush being blamed for the recession, especially the baggers. They refuse to accept responsibility for it. In the online version of my local paper today, one of the baggers wanted to know WHEN dems are going to stop blaming President Bush for the recession since PBO is going into his 3rd year on the job. I don’t think we should ever let them forget it. I’m sick of them wrecking the country and being allowed to walk off and forget it. I think we should have a week’s Twitter campaign to remind them of all of the reasons GWB, and they, should accept responsibility for this mess.
Yickes, what a freaking jerk, thanks for the recap Ut. Yelling at the POTUS. I tried to find that sociopath on twitter. I’m going to send one to U.S. Rep. Tom Latham for inviting that jerk.
Someone invited him???
U.S. Rep. Tom Latham had invited Rhodes, of West Des Moines, as a guest to the event. Rhodes said before the event that he wanted to ask Obama when he and the Democratic Party will stop laying blame for economic problems on former President George W. Bush.
He said afterward that he was frustrated with Obama’s attack on tea party Republicans.
“He seemed to keep attacking the other side. I wanted to know why he was talking about civility when I’m being accused of being a terrorist,” Rhodes said.
Holding the American economy hostage is terroristic. The Tea Partiers are so easily offended, and yet they actively engage in offensive behavior. Double standard, and bogus argument on his part. Maybe he should talk to all the Americans that endured the tension and uncertainty that their manufactured crisis inspired. To recognize and understand that would require a sense of compassion and a sense of collective and shared responsibility. I don’t see that as being a common trait of the Tea Party members. Am I missing something?
I am often reminded of Eleanor Roosevelts quote, when people, myself included feel offended: “No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.” At least for me. it reminds me to get beneath the emotion and look at what my own reactions reveal to me, in truth.
Even little kids take responsibility for their actions sometimes. Rhodes is a disgrace. If I had voted for GWB, and he had F’ed things up, I would take some time to see where I made my mistake so that I could avoid making the same one in the future, but I guess Rhodes is one of those “don’t question me” authoritarians. Too bad. As PBO stated, 59% of Americans know whose mess this is.
Yes Rep. Tom Latham invited him as a guest to the event.
Ok, I’m writing, He represents the town where I grew up in, sadly. And now I remember that the Ia. tea party were the ones who got in big trouble, brought national shame on my home town, for putting up a billboard comparing Obama with Hitler. Not very original but ugly nonetheless and were forced to take it down within days because of Ia. and national outrage.
Fucking tea Bagger was rude as shit to POTUS at the end of this.. I’m glad I didn’t see this picture you’ve posted til now. Racist scum is ALL they are.
Fuck Rhodes disrespectful ass. As usual PBO is the only adult. SS was ready to escort him out but PBO said “no he’s okay.”
Come on people…how do we know that the message is being received unless…we make Satan’s head spin…
That is why GGail as you and all of us have said, we have to be on our best for the tools of the evil and most vile people. However, we will prevail. Enough of this disrespect for the President. Negative energy put in, negative energy put out. There words speak for what is inside of their hearts. But we will will this. Okay.
You are so correct HZ. We WILL WIN.
Yep, this guy was definitely trying to get media attention. Hopefully, it won’t work since the media has their new chew toy in Perry but no doubt Wolf will bring it up in his interview tomorrow. Funny thing, in summer 2009 teabagger rage was such a big thing at townhalls…now, the best they can do is this? One man yelling about the Pres rhetoric…so sad and ironic
According to Ed Henry (newly foxyfied) who interviewed the rude man, POTUS talked to him and ended up walking away saying ” I can’t talk to you …” then as Per Ed’s Tweets, two women come & told Rhodent he was rude & aggressive & should be ashamed.
I’m amazed POTUS addresses this creature, on the other hand Fox can’t claim it was all Obama supporters only there. (wait… What am I saying Of course they can… Duh).
Way to go ladies. Thanks for standing up to this jackass- I would have liked to kicked him in the nu%$……
SG good one – Rhodent exactly what these people are. The Prez does have the patience of a saint, most folks wouldn’t even answer this obnoxious idiot. The Rep that gave him the ticket should have known that these people shouldn’t be in ‘polite society’ – nothing but obstructionists.
Thanks UT for breaking it down for us.
Our condolences:
MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell will be off this week due to the death of his mother, Frances O’Donnell.
our editor recommends
Keith Olbermann’s Current TV Show to Air Opposite MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell (Report)
Lawrence O’Donnell to host MSNBC show
Chris Hayes will host The Last Word this week. An announcement will come on Monday night’s show, when Hayes is expected to say in part: “The most devoted fan of this show is not watching tonight.”
Frances O’Donnell died Sunday at her home in Cape Cod, Mass.. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren who include five children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was 93.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday on Cape Cod. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Last Word K.I.N.D. Fund, a partnership with UNICEF, which raises money to provide school desks to children in Malawi
Frances O’Donnell was the office manager in the family law firm in Boston started by her husband Lawrence F. O’Donnell and sons Michael and Kevin. An historic civil rights case won by the O’Donnells was the subject of Lawrence O’Donnell’s 1984 book, Deadly Force about the 1975 shooting death of an African American man by Boston law enforcement.
This saddens me, LOD mentioned his Mom on his show with pride. 93 years is a good run at life. May she rest in peace.
Yes, I saw a mention on tonight’s show. May she Rest in Peace.
Thanks for the information about LO’s mother. He has mentioned her with the most dear love and respect on his program. Our TOD family send out good energy and prayers to Lawrence at this time.My brother and I were just speaking about our dear mother’s leaving us a few years ago. It is still very fresh in my heart. I cry much, because she was such a beautiful spirit. So I am sure LO and his family need our prayers and go thoughts going out to them tonight. HZ
Yes, HZ, and if LOD is on twitter, I hope someone here will send him a condolence tweet from us here at TOD.
God’s blessings upon her family and eternal rest grant her oh Lord…may she rest in perfect peace…
Oh, no. Poor Lawry. All my best wishes go to him and his family.
Just watched the townhall clip and want to thank you so much for posting it.
My apologies for the KO insert.
I haven’t watched Chris Matthew for awhile, but he used to be pretty supportive of the President. The program on Sunday was not supportive in any way of the administration. Would someone tell me what’s going on with Chris? Thanks
My opinion, Chris Matthews is going through the change of life, or he is just gone wacko. Choose which one.
He’s always been like that. He’s an agitator who is all over the map politically and emotionally. Boring frankly.
Uhh…he’s never really been that supportive of President Obama…certainly nowhere near how he was with worst the President ever, Bush the Lesser. If you have a strong stomach, check here:
http://mediamatters.org/research/200604270005
Matthews is one of the biggest tools the MegaMedia has. He loves to play both sides just to the point where the public doesn’t catch onto his true reason for being on TV…to keep actual Liberal policy from ever being enacted. He has no grand following of viewers. His ratings have abysmal for really long periods of time. If he was fired tomorrow, there would be no real outcry from the public. Yet, here is persists…decades later….sort of like Pat Spewcannon on the same network. Matthews just recently was one of the first MegaMedia people to bring the false “birth certificate” fabrication into the public discourse, of course, claiming he personally doesn’t believe as he continued to bring people on to talk about for entire segments, day after day.
Don’t be fooled again, as a very unwise man once sorta kinda tried to say one day.
I have no more respect for Chris anymore. He is just as responsible for some of the hateful and ugly things that are being stated about President Obama. I turned him off longtime ago. I will not give them the ratings. Just like RM. Smarts is not enough for me. Hell, I know a lot of smart people, but they are not ugly, negative, and hateful in their remarks. I can find smarts many other places. We are going to move in the good and decent conversatins. If they want to carry on that type of conversations on their program, then we listen, but enough of the beating down on President Barack Obama. I have never see this much of this distasteful attitude before. Even with Clinton. We all know why. These haters will always be there as long as President Obama is in the Oval Office, so just let them make themselves miserable for the remaining of this term and for sure his second term. We will have a second term for President Obama. We will have to speak up, and work hard. It Will Be a Winner.HZ
HZ – You described an awful situation in the most thoughtful and beautiful way, because there was a solution to the problem at the end of your comments and a continuing lesson for us all.
I swear if I didn’t know so many people like you existed, I’d howl at the moon every night (not just tonight, when it’s nice and full). We have the best President ever, and his enemies don’t want us to enjoy one damn minute of it.
Whenever I used to present my day-to-day “problems” to my Mother, she’d always say, “You just have to keep going.” That one simple little phrase has stayed with me every decade I’ve lived in adulthood … and, politically, I’ve been calling on it since the day after the President’s FIRST inauguration!
Obama-Biden 2012
Ditto X100000 HZ.
Unbeweevable…..LOL. Seriously, Matthews is an image guy, obviously. No need for substance. Reading him is like watching critique of one’s favorite Saturday morning cartoon show. “How does that look?” ” What do you think about how it looks?”. (all my take). How the hell he stays on air is purely due to fake controversy. I had been looking for him to say something profound, you know, to warrant his duration on air, and I kept hearing ………nothing…….! To hell with Spitty and his ilk. And Brian Williams’ only redeeming quality is that he sounds like a reputable journalist. Certainly, he’s another ass wipe. Damn them all for their immaturity. And I wish they’d stay far away from my President. He runs rings around all these sorry ass over-privileged, racist white men. That is who they are. For real !
What you said about Brian Williams was so (a) true and (b) funny, I almost fell off my chair!
Exactly! Chris is all about looks and no substance. He thinks politicians should do the work for him and he just gets to sit back like one of those commenters at the boxing ring.
Chris is being Chris. I stopped watching his show 2 years ago because he would say some smart things and then say some really really stupid and infuriating crap. Its too much.
When ur question is about rhetoric shouldn’t u be civilized. How ironic and moronic.
Very perceptive. The peepartier, not !
Let’s face it, the negative narrative is always ready to go. President Obama plans a bus tour to speak directly to the American people about what he is trying to do to boost the economy and create jobs. And the media complains that he is campaigning. If PBO had not done something like the bus tour during the month of August, the media would be saying that he is out of touch and not connecting with the American people. Bottom line, no matter what he does the negative narrative prevails. It really makes it easy for the reporters. They don’t report the facts, they just blame PBO for everything.
This made me laugh, just saw it on twitter
Cenk rips Fareed Zakaria
Oh I’m sure Mr. Zakaria gives a crap about Cenk Uyger.
And another insult from Bill Maher, calling the President pathetic. I’m sick of that libertarian who thinks he knows everything and know nothing. Enough with the insults.
Bill Maher is the pathetic bastard. I don’t watch or listen to him or Jon Stewart. They think they know to darn much.
And Jon Stewart felt the need to defend poor Ron Paul tonight—-devoted a whole segment to him—- but never feels the need to say a kind word about President Obama. In fact he adds to the nastiness against him. We’ve got some real beauts as talk show hosts right now, hard to find one with a speck of insight or integrity. They’re lost in space.
Dotster, these two men need to find their ‘true good angel compass’ in their lives. They both are hypocrites, in my opinion. When Jon Stewart said to the President”Hey dude.” That was so disrespectful in my opinion, I said no more, Mr. Stewart.
Bill Maher is so fucking pathetic..he really shouldn’t be projecting. Needs to work on being less pathetic.
He needs to check that he looks like Alice the Goon on Popeye. (showing my age….LOL ).
LOS ANGELES — Starbucks Corp Chief Executive Howard Schultz is winning support for his call to withhold political contributions from U.S. lawmakers until they strike a “fair, bipartisan” deal on the country’s debt, revenue and spending.
Schultz recently led the world’s biggest coffee chain through a painful but successful restructuring that returned it to growth. In his letter Monday, he also challenged fellow U.S. business leaders to do their part by hiring workers to give the national economy a much-needed jolt.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44152381/ns/business-us_business/#.TknalWFyykM
Starbucks, through it’s corporate sponsoship of Morning Joe has lost some business….I know they lost mine. Good for Starbucks re bipartisan efforts, but I am not going back.
The GOP supporters will NOT withhold a dime. This is a rouse.
Well, if they won’t, then we withhold our dimes from Starbucks and any other GOP supporter that we can name. As the President just said, this is in our hands.
Great point, GGail.
I agree. Phoney baloney
Let’s take a little trip down Memory Lane with today’s darling Teebagaloozer…here he was just 2 months ago in an article about how pathetically attended a Teebugger event was that they sponsored, and how no Repub Krazy Kandidates even showed up:
Ryan Rhodes, Iowa Tea Party chairman, said previously that Gingrich was a possible speaker at the tour, but couldn’t make it because of scheduling issues.
He said the tour has averaged about 25 people a stop, so the turnout Thursday was appreciated.
“That’s making me happy,” he said.
http://wcfcourier.com/iowacaucus/article_980e6722-9882-11e0-af52-001cc4c002e0.html
The sad, sad little man. Well, rest assured for him now though…some Wingnut Welfare billionaire will put him on some tour with Not-a-Joe the Not-a-plumber and will make multiple 6 figures now…just like the teenaged high schooler with child out of wedlock who now makes hundreds of thousands lecturing people about her hypocrisy. Ah, to be a Repub….
Well bummer, I’m having problems posting comments with Firefox now, never before, just with IE, that’s why I switched.
Try google chrome.
So did you guys hear what Rick Perry said about Ben Bernake.
thinkprogress ThinkProgress
RT @jpodhoretz: Rick Perry’s Serious Unforced Error: http://t.co/lH3Qp84 My mea culpa for what I was tweeting an hour ago.
I tweeted back to ThinkProgress that it is just day two. Go figure.
Yeah, I’m back to thinking Romney will be the nominee. Perry isn’t ready for a national campaign. He’s used to Texas politics where they’re used to his garbage and find it endearing or something. It will be interesting to see if Bachmann or Romney jump on this or not. I don’t think this guy ever planned to run for the Presidency, so didn’t self-censor for so long, he doesn’t know how to. I think Perry was talked into running for “Anybody but Romney” folks who first tried with Daniels, than Christie all the while checking in with Jeb Bush and Jim Demint. I just hope Perry’s ego is big enough to stay in for the long haul and spend tens of millions attacking Romney.
Next GOP Primary debate is September 7th.
it will be interesting to see how serious the Republican Party is about regaining the White house…Perry and Bachman had no shot of winnning a general election….
Thanks for the wonderful videos and pictures, Chips! I wouldn’t worry too much about the media drivel. The local news is bound to cover the President and the people at the town halls will walk away with the right message. And the cable channels will likely be on to something else next week.
I believe that when we stay positive, stay focus, be informed of the facts, listen very carefully to our President, and work as hard as he does daily; we will be the one who will be the ‘true messengers of President Obama’s message. He continues to tell us to take to the e mail, twitter, phone calls, and give it to our Congress men and women. Listen to him. He knows that we have that power within us. I think we do also. So let us not depend on the ‘ugly media’ that we know is not for this President, and take our own message for the President. We got out there and won in 2008, and we will win in 2012. This time we have shown them what this President can do in this pile of s…, and now we will not stop until we finish the job. So let us put our collective minds into finishing the job which means we have to win back the House, add to the Senate with some people who will work with the President, and it is a check that will be good and we can take it to the bank with pride on Jan 20, 2013 at 12:00noon. Got it.
My only response: Yee-haw!
HZ, what you said…
Especially this:
“…Listen to him [PBHO]…”
That’s all!
YES.WE.CAN…DO.(Much)More, Together!
YES.WE.CAN, Again…Obama/Biden 2012!
I’M IN…FIRED UP & GOIN’!
Thanks for the comments about Chris. I hadn’t paid much attention, hadn’t watched him much, just thought he was one of the good guys–but hell, listening to him Sunday changed that thinking! Who can we look to as our real upstanding reporters–who can we trust? It appears that the number of trustworthy folks is getting smaller.
Auni, Have you tried Rev Sharpton?
GGail, I like Rev. Al so far. He keeps it positive about the President, and he let his guests know what is in charge of the program. I like him very much. He does not allow the guests to come on and spew out their hate and their untruths without calling them out on it. I like that most of all. I go on twitter and thank him as well.
I enjoy watching Rev Al online after our East Coast TODers go quiet. This way, I have the best of both worlds.
Now, I’m going quiet. Have pleasant dreams HZ and the rest of TOD.
Zero. None in the MegaMedia. You must remember all MegaMedia is owned by a small group of Billionaires. It’s doesn’t matter what anyone within each MegaMedia outlet thinks, they can only do what the bosses say, or they lose their jobs.
Our only solution is to find smaller media outlets that have proven trustworthy, and/or trusted “new media” outlets such as here. This is Issue Numero Uno in my opinion, since all voting begins with how informed the electorate is when they enter the voting booth. If we had an actual “Press” today, the modern-day Repub Party would not exist. Almost nothing they say can stand up even to the slightest scrutiny. That’s why they had to buy it all up and change all the laws governing media ownership.
It’s not depressing to realize this…it’s actually quite liberating and fun to go and find your new sources for information.
Try Randi Rhodes too…
I sent Chris Matthews a email and all I said was……OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
The folks at this Minnesota town hall meeting (the MOST GORGEOUS SCENERY EVER!!!) were informed, gracious, humble, funny, and genuine. How is it that this is the same state that gave union organizing and Paul Wellstone also gave us Michelle ‘batshit’ Bachmann AND Tim Pawlenzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ?
I just don’t understand it. How does that happen? SERIOUSLY!!??!! HOW???
Money, religion, rural areas and the quest for power.

Perry’s lies, first couple of days out on the campaign trail, are all being countered.
Today, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood (a great Republican) issued a “statement to the contrary” on Perry:
http://caucuses.desmoinesregister.com/2011/08/15/federal-agency-perry-wrong-in-comments-about-new-license-rules-for-farmers/
Perry’s campaign is starting to look like toast, when the head of a federal agency has to issue a press release that says you’re lying!
Something tells me LaHood won’t be voting repug this election cycle.
Rick Perry’s double life” – Strippers, Adultery and Fake Christianity – Must read
http://www.stuffedsuits.com/news/national-politics/721-fraud-rick-perry-is-political-herpes”
I don’t have to read this because I already know it’s true. The first time I saw Dick, you know what I thought? “where are the bodies buried?” —literally and figuratively.
Hi everybody I have this very optimistic video I found. It was so good hearing directly from the people than from the talking heads we spend out time listening to and letting out blood pressure go up.
President Raises Crowd’s Optimism In Minnesota:
I love this…..it shows the inflluence that the president has on the people….they want to believe in him….one woman says that she plans to work for him campaign….another woman says that she did not think that here social security would be there….
this is a very nice video….
Oh and here’s that exchange between President Obama and that slime ball teabagger:
That tea party creep can’t get on tv and lie, because this shows that the President treated him with respect, he tried to answer his question. Then the President moved on.
That woman with the gray suit and eyeglasses is with that tea party guy. He didn’t like VP Biden calling them terrorists, well join the club, I’m sure the President don’t like being called all kinds of names either, but that don’t stop them from calling him those names, do it?
Thanks video queen Donna. Thought the teaspoons had some genuinely interesting ‘beef’ but they’re just been whiner-babies. If they can’t take it don’t dish it out. Great to seen informed citizens and they are very supportive of the Prez.
I did hear the teabagger bring up the balance budget admendment and he said passing it will solve all the problems. I gues that would be true if you own 1 percent of all the wealth.
The VP denies calling them terrorists.
Apparently that was a comment made by one of the House Democratic members when VP Biden went to talk to the Dem caucus re the debt deal.
When he was interviewed, that rude creep called PBO a socialist! That’s all they know how to do is call him names.
I DON’T LIKE THEM ANNOUNCING HIS DESTINATIONS. I WISH THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT UNTIL JUST PRIOR TO ARRIVAL…SECURITY RISK!
I think they bus people in to the location of the TH meetings (at least that is what I thought when I saw all the yellow buses in the video). Let us just continue to pray for his safety and the continued vigilance of the SS.
The yellow buses are actually a barrier used by the SS to use around the perimeter. They also do this at all of FLOTUS’ outside events she may have at various schools, etc. When the President is in cities like NY, you’ll see big rigs, garbage trucks, etc. used as a blockade around the building that he’s in. I actually feel comforted when I see all the buses.
Thanks for the 411 Janelle.
Let me see if I get this straight – the teaparty guy had his fee fees hurt because he thought VP Biden called TeaPartiers terrorists because of what happened during the debt ceiling talks? And the woman had her fee fees hurt because she said Napolitano said something about right wing extremists and the woman classified herself in that group and cited home grown terrorism is something that happens more from left wing extremists?????
You really can’t make this stuff up.
I loved how when PBO was talking to her, he reached over and touched her. Then she shut up and let that other tool talk. Who knew? Touch can calm a savage beast.
Did you get that Lisa – I got that with the touch. lol O did the same thing to the teaparty guy. He touched him and he did calm down.
Which is why his commentary came off more as whining. Why are folks saying mean things about meeeeeee! Get them to stop Obamaaaaaa!!!
lol. I thought it was pretty funny. Didn’t see the tea party guy as disrespectful more like “cranky” like the baby in the video. It could have been worse but after the touch, he did calm down.
Chips please remove my email address from the previous comment. for some reason the screen changed and I didn’t notice.
Did he really think he could get under the Presidents skin by being: loud, rude, and obnoxious? What a dope. These past several months, starting with the birth certificate nonsense, the President has brilliantly, and calmly dismantled all their weak tea party arguments, and has made fools out of them. Ryan, and the rest of tea patsies are still dazed an confused, and still don’t realize what has happened to them. Heh,heh, heh. Good job Mr. President.
