I used to live in Texas and he was always an ASS!!! He makes me shudder, even thinking about him being in the Oval Office. I think I would maybe have to go to Canada. :) Did I get to be first?

Michael Steele again is on Morning Joe bashing President Obama’s foreign policy. He has absolutely no foreign policy experience but yet MSNBC allows him to go on and on as a critic of what the President has accomplished.

    • August 23, 2011 at 7:27 am

I am glad that you are strong enough to watch the swill on MJ Bill. It is always good to know what the enemy is saying. MS is a media
wh%%% and he has no credibility on anything.

The Republicans are just jealous and upset because President Barack Obama is owning them on foreign policy. First, it was the Somali pirates. Then it was ordering the operation that got a bullet in Osama bin Laden’s head. And now, the revolution in Libya which has Kadaffy Duck out of power, all at less of the cost and body count that it took to get Saddam Hussein out of power in Iraq.

    • August 23, 2011 at 7:49 am

Good morning TOD family. Hey Bill. Take heed. While Steele sits on TV reveling in hearing himself talk, on display for the world to see, are throngs of Libyans thanking our president and his cohorts for helping them get their country back.

So, in the greater scheme of things, Steele is just a speck in the universe.

He and all his Republican friends will not and cannot change the facts. They are entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts.

Have a great day everybody and hope it is a little brighter than yesterday.

I can’t figure out why MSNBC decided we all needed to hear more deep thoughts from Michael Steele either. A bunch of mumbly-jumbly signifying nothing.
I did think this descriptive phrase introduced today to describe the current Repub political policy was perfect—–”patriotic anarchy”. Yes, patriotic anarchists who don’t believe in science or government.

Do you all think that Huntsman has decided to really stick to what he believe in to garner democratic votes, disavow the repuglian party and run as an independent? What is he up to???

      August 23, 2011 at 7:38 am

Huntsman is pulling a TPaw: attacking everyone while he’s DEAD LAST.

I suspect Huntsman will be repeating TPaw and throwing in the towel in shortly as well. Being the reasonable guy will get you nowhere in today’s Teapublican Party.

      • August 23, 2011 at 7:49 am

Interesting. The reason I asked this question is that, I am listening to Bill Press and he said that he was talking to some of his dem friends and they said that Huntsman would be someone they could vote for. Dems are known for shooting themselves in the foot. That’s how we lost control of the house.

I’ve had it with all these talking heads that always state that “Well according to my sources, or according to MY Dem friends…”

Anyone who would vote for Huntsman over Obama is out of their goddamned mind. This is the same Jon Huntsman that praised the Ryan plan that would have ended Medicare, and was EMBRACING the far right radical beliefs of climate change being fake before he was against it all. He’s flip flopping just as badly as Mitt Romney and TPaw, and let’s not forget: say Huntsman does get the nomination, he is NOT charismatic at ALL.

Huntsman would still just be a tool of the Republican Party. Stupid stupid people if they think Huntsman would give them what they want.

        • August 23, 2011 at 10:56 am

Those Democrats are idiots or closeted Republicans. Huntsman said he would support the Ryan plan along with other right wing initiatives. that is all anyone needs to know.

I think he is betting the tea party will crash and burn after the 2012 election and it will put him in a good position in 2016 with the Republicans looking for a reasonable candidate..

    • 23 Esmerelda
      August 23, 2011 at 7:44 am

Um, apparently he’s open to running as Bachmann’s VP.

    • August 23, 2011 at 7:59 am

Keep in mind that Huntsman is on record supporting the Ryan plan. I don’t recall if the was on the panel during their debate, but if he was didn’t he also raised his hands on the question about the 10 to 1 revenue issue?

Huntsman is just now finding out about Republicans being way out there? He was just agreeing with them not too long ago. If Democrats want to vote for him and think that he is going to be anything less than a Conservative who will continue to subscribe to their principles,
I say be my guest. They can kiss their Supreme Court goodbye, they can kiss DADT goodbye and all the social programs along with it.

Huntsman is being revived by the press once again. Last week Perry was the freshest onion in town. As soon as we began peeling the layers the begun to feel the sting in their eyes. The media will continue their search.

Now there is talk about Pataki. Go figure.

    • August 23, 2011 at 10:56 am

Huntsman does not have the fan base to run as an independent.

Huntsman reminds me of a used car salesman. He should get his guitar and stay home and write music. I wonder what he really did in China. He gives me the creepies.

      • August 23, 2011 at 7:58 am

I just heard a caller call in and say that Christie and Rubio would be a dynamic duo who could win. If PBO and the dems could have gotten cooperation from the repugs, this economy would have bounced back quicker. It iso upsetting that people would even think of voting for any republican after seeing what they are doing to this country, including Christie.

Huntsman comes across to me as a rich dilettante who thinks it would be cool to be President.

      • August 23, 2011 at 3:34 pm

every time Hunstman speaks publicly, I’m afraid he’s gonna start crying. The guy is a wishywashy filbertigibit and a sap. If he were president (God forbid) he’d be hiding under the table cloth in the advent of an attack (God forbid). He’s wimpy and whiney and he sounds as if his _____________ haven’t dropped yet. I remember when my male cousins were entering into puberty and that strange thing with their voices was happening. One minute they’d be talking with teenaged, coming of age voices and then suddenly they would start squeaking like a trapped mice. Everytime I see Hunstman speak, that’s exactly what he does. So much so that the only thing I remember from his interviews or speeches are the number of times he clears his throat after he squeaks……. presidential material? ………. I think not. :?

I have heard this crap from the Left that Hunstmans should run against Obama. What does Huntsman have to offer? How can the servant be greater than his Master. If Huntsmans seems so reasonable it’s because he’s been with the president.

Rick Perry and his campaign just can’t decide what to say about the book he wrote nine months ago. On the campaign trail, Perry has been telling people to read his book. Some uncomfortable questions have arose from voters and reporters. Suddenly, Perry is trying to change his tune on some of his eyebrow raising beliefs in his book. You could get dizzy from the back and forth. But Steve Benen has it about right.

YOU WROTE IT , YOU OWN IT
    ========================

While so many books from politicians are dull, awful, and immediately forgettable, Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) actually put together an interesting book last year: Fed Up!: Our Fight to Save America from Washington. It was published just nine months ago, well before Perry expected to be a leading presidential candidate.

The book offers a surprisingly helpful look at Perry’s ideology and worldview, including his disgust for Social Security and bank regulations, his belief in global “cooling,” and some bizarre ideas about what caused the Civil War. My personal favorite is Perry’s belief that the Great Depression ended during World War II, “when FDR was finally persuaded to unleash private enterprise,” which is practically the exact opposite of what happened.

But this was nine months ago. Now, Perry the presidential candidate doesn’t much care for the book written by Perry the governor.

Huntsman, “a rich dilettante who thinks it would be cool to be president” If you look at his biography, that’s exactly what he is. Son of a rich family who fooled around, dropped out of school, wanted to be a rock star…..really silly stuff. Once again the Republicans, and some silly old men on the left, are going for “looks” They still can’t accept that a man with dark skin is President, and that he is the smartest man in the room.

You can’t make this stuff up. You will never guess who is upset and whining about the “liberal media” coverage of Rick Perry. None other than Sean Hannity (the manatee***) of the Fox cable channel. He is outraged at the coverage and feels Rick Perry is being treated unfairly.

The FOX News Mainstream Media Hypocrisy

Sean Hannity is among a multitude of conservatives upset about the way Rick Perry is supposedly being treated by the “mainstream media” (aka liberal media elite) even though the mainstream media isn’t treating Perry very harshly at all. In fact, the mainstream media has for the most part declined to mention Perry’s involvement with Christian dominionists. Completely absent is any mention of their presence at The Response on August 6, instead treating him like a main-stream candidate who will appeal to mainstream voters.
