Let us hope this is a sign of the times as those who hoard wealth learn a lesson …
“Rebels Discover Supply Stockpile …. Reuters is reporting that rebels have discovered huge stockpiles of supplies hoarded by the Gaddafi regime. According to Reuters: “There will be no more problems with regard to food supplies, medicine supplies and fuel,” National Transitional Council chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil told a news conference in the rebels’ powerbase city of Benghazi in the east.”
I too do not like the label “rebel”. These are people who were fed up with tyranny and decided to fight for their freedom. Hence, Freedom Fighter is more appropriate. IMO.
I am believing that the NTC with the assistance of Ambassador Rice will guide Libya to a stable democracy.
You are correct regarding the term “rebel” GGail and many, many Libyan freedom fighters agree with you.
We have also sent numerous messages to the press urging them to stop referring to Daffi as ‘Leader’ – he is “Ex-Leader, Ex-Dictator, …. .” For instance:
“as i said before, new free libya should withdraw, effective immediately its membership to the disgraceful au, demand a return of assets, and ill gotten financial aid and such from au countries, specifically south africa(after all, the monies went to corrupt officials and south africas ppl never saw any of it).
libya should take up this particular issue at international courts; expose in any way possible zumas shady, illegal dealings w/ criminal daffi( on the run) ; and libya should ask, and start talk of possibly joining the EU, instead.
it might help to start preliminary plans to build a perimeter fence, border enforcement system on its southern borders w/ a few tightly guarded and enforced entry/exit points w/ sudan, and perhaps algeria.
libya has gained nothing from its african southern neighbours but problems, and libyas northern neighbours have had enough aswell. sub-saharan africa needs to get its house in order, but this is not libyas responsibility.
no more of this au thing period, its been a seriouly disfunctional marriage…no more. au members have shown their true colors in regards to libyans during libyas recent struggle for survival against their brother tyrant. thats all i have to say about this au thing.”
Bill Burton is on it, again! He’s on Andrea Mitchell with some former Bush spokesperson that nobody ever saw before. Andrea brought up the awful Dick Cheney’s awful new book – Cheney says heads will explode in Washington when they read it. Bill Burton called Cheney the most disloyal vice president ever.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a politician as craven as Romney. He’ll say anything and do anything to get the nomination. Even contradicts himself in a matter of hours. He’s the definition of an empty suit.
I met a lady at a concert at the plaza last week who was wearing a “Recall Scott Walker” T shirt. I told her I liked her T shirt and I admired her for being able to walk around with a picture of that jerk on her back. She laughed and replied that she wanted to make sure everyone knew the face of the person who’s ass they were going to kick! I thought that was a great response!
Andrea Mitchell has softened her tone somewhat (ha!). She was covering the hurricane and said President Obama “of course is on top of it,” having been briefed by the FEMA Director today. FEMA is on it (such a difference from the previous administration)!
Seems as though more Democratic spokespeople are on MSNBC these days – I only usually peek at them during the day and previously only have spotted Republican hacks before switching the channel. Or maybe I’m seeing things.
A reporter from Martha’s Vineyard is saying the President still intends to return to D.C. on Saturday.
If MSNBC is softening, I would be thrilled. I certainly hope you’re right. Any other examples? Perhaps Rev Al getting a show is suggestive. We need a GD network!!!!
I’m in CT – things are not looking good for the East Coast. Doing the supermarket thing tonight. We left the Cape yesterday – gorgeous weather, but felt the quake in our rooms.

I myself can’t imagine (unless I’m in a coma) putting anything associated with Mittens on my body. I’ll pass.
Ah, true, you have a point!
Even tongue in cheek…I can’t do it!
I couldn’t either, but these are funny!

Thank you Bobfr for this posting.
I read a couple of days ago where some of them asked the journalists to stop calling them that.

The BBC has gained access to the labyrinth of tunnels beneath Col Gaddafi’s compound in Tripoli. Here’s the video.

Works for me.
Romney is now saying he does not know if climate change is caused by humans. He has no convictions about anything.

I meant to but I only get a half hour for lunch. Darn corporations…oops.
OH MY GOSH…TOO DARNED FUNNY!
We need Perry slogan t-shorts now, especially his beliefs on SS and Medicare.
Did you mean to say “t-shorts,” COS? Whether or not you did, that was really fitting – not to mention funny!
She still had her mind on our President working his cargo ‘shorts’…..;)
Yes, yes, Sue. Our President is working the ‘shorts’ indeed. Anyday, Mr. President. Comment spoken with nothing but deep respect for my President. HZ

Perhaps our letter writing/calling campaign and views expressed are being considered. But I wouldn’t relax just yet…
Okay, we get it now dumbo, “corps are our peeps”.
Okay, this post is the shizzle!
Hahahahaha…. “have you hugged a corporation today?” I love love love the rapid Democrat pushback.
