I loved the comment I saw under this story in the Trib. One guy said the Trib had eliminated some of his favorite comic strips, so he’s glad that the paper keeps reporting on Bachmann, Perry and Palin so he can still get his comedy fix.
On her visit to a traffic-signal plant [in Iowa] Monday, Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann called it an example of how President Obama’s policies are “continuing to dig us deeper into the hole toward another recession.”
Standing before a row of shiny orange trailers carrying portable solar-powered traffic lights, she said her plans for a smaller government with fewer rules and lower spending would help OMJC Signal Inc. “grow, grow, grow, grow, grow.”
“That’s my goal — to see you succeed wildly,” the Minnesota congresswoman told a gathering of OMJC workers on the plant floor here in the central Iowa town where she grew up.
So, what’s the problem? As it turns out, OMJC Signal Inc. thrives thanks to government contracts — more than 80% of the company’s revenue comes from government — which allows it provide portable traffic lights, solar-powered bus-stop lights, and traffic cameras for projects nationwide.
The company’s CEO is a self-identified conservative Republican, who was apparently loath to ruin Bachmann’s appearance, but he conceded to reporters that his company benefited from the kind of projects promoted by President Obama and congressional Democrats.
Schumer was the original one to call for the millionaires tax! The President, at first, was nit sure!
The President thought about it and took Senator Schumer millionaires tax!
Well, now that the President has come out for it, Schumer says to exempt his wall street friends and peeps on the upper east side, because of higher cost of living!
You sure Schumer hasn’t become a Republican. He was once for it, now that President is for it, Schumer is against it. What is Schumer concern about, how much money he might lose from those Wall St. buddies.
Reminds me of the part from the Texas Chainsaw massacre remake where Jessica Biel is hiding in the freezer inside of the meat factory and Leatherface is after her.
Difference being, Jessica Biel was the good guy/herione in that movie.
I didn’t want to link from Huff and puff but it’s nice to read that from a “Progressive” hero.
Thank you Sen Russ. Obama 2012
President Obama took office in a time of historic challenge for the country. He passed the Recovery Act to bring our economy back from the brink, implemented historic health insurance reform to make health care more affordable and accessible, repealed the discriminatory Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy, and rejected the conventional wisdom in Washington to offer a life-saving loan to the auto industry, saving 1.4 million jobs.
Now, facing Republican candidates that are bought-and-sold by corporate money, and who want to give more tax breaks to the wealthiest and attack the rights of working Americans, the President is fighting to create jobs and provide economic security for middle class families. 2012 will be a close and competitive election, and in an environment after the lawless Citizens United decision, where corporate special interests will be out there fighting for Mitt Romney and Rick Perry, progressives must unite to ensure that the President is reelected.
Maybe she’s on an interview for a job in Texas? Entrail un-tangler? Lots of great private sector jobs in Texas! And to get one you have to be a contract worker (no benefits) so you get to OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS TOO!!!
This might freak the right too: Air Force officers *salute* President Obama as he departs Andrews for Atlanta, May 19 http://t.co/UskLKMzNv92 hours ago
Different food group: she’s a nut.
Who is she looking for Marcus?
This picture of Bachmann in that meat packing place is as stupid looking as her eating that sausage dog.
You guys are bad. I love it.

The hits keep on coming with this truly clueless gal. I see she said our food industry is over regulated—-because—-who needs safe food?

Disgusting. Iam about to eat dinner. Yikes.
Ha, so much for my munchies. Yeah, the grin is very weird, not for her though. Off to watch the Rev.
Why is she smiling at them like they are old friends? She is so weird.
Maybe she is trolling for votes from the carcasses. She is desperate.
In the ugliest safety shoes I think I’ve ever seen!
She was told she needs to milk some cash cows but ended up udderly confused…

Both James Carville and Mark Penn need to shut their pie holes
As David Corn just said if they knew what they were talking about Hillary would be President.
David Corn was right on about that.
She should expect to hear from PITA. Just a warning, they don’t play nice.
I knew we were in deep do do with the media, when they said PETA was mad at the President for swatting a fly!
And it was a 4 day story!
Sorry for the typo I mean’t PETA. What they did to Ann Wintour for wearing Fur was painful to watch.
What an UGLY visual! Bachman amidst the bovine carcasses.

Wowie, she really knows how to do ATROCIOUS photo ops. What an imbecile!
I think Bachmann is smiling because when she sees dead meat hanging she’s reminded of home.
AHHHHHHHAAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! Wow. Ok, Karen’s got it.
I almost resisted, but couldn’t.
When you spot one maggot in your meat you know there will be more….
