I hate Piers Morgan. And I don’t use the word “hate” lightly. He’s just horrible. He tries to get every black guest, and every other guest remotely associated with the President, to bash the President. And he furthers these mistaken memes that the tea party is gaining momentum (although we can all see that only a handful keep showing up to their rallies), or that the President is diminishing in some ways with his base and supporters.

Piers Morgan is scum of the earth. I thought so even before I found out he was involved with Murdoch and that tabloid trash that they put out. And seeing these clips from his show every now and then confirms it each and every time.

It seems he had the same line of questioning with Hill Harper, Common and Morgan Freeman. I find Piers Morgan repulsive.

Oh, I remember that theo67. She was brilliant. I think she said something about betting him at Scrabble and left it at that. She is a lovely woman. I love the way she speaks. By the way, I bought the book “Ladder To The Moon” and it is a very sweet story. A nice gift for whippersnappers and adults.

Great book by Maya,”Ladder To The Moon.” I dislike Piers so much. I will leave it there because you all will see a side of me that is not healthy for me or my family here. As I said before, Piers does not do his homework on his AA guests. Hill Harper, Morgan Freeman, and Common are all very close to POB. Plus ,when Piers interviewed Simon Cowell,Piers tried to even get Simon to say something bad about the President.Simon gave his some good advice, but he said great things about POB. Piers is an ugly spirit on this earth. He is hateful and very unhappy towards POB. When you see intellect, a faithful husband, great father to beautiful intelligent girls of one mother, (who is also very intelligent,) it blows the mind of some white men like Piers. They just can’t stop with this hateful attitude. He has some inner issues in his heart that he needs to deal with for sure. Really, why can’t he talk about this man in more positive manner? A man who has done NOTHING to him as far as we know. This is shameful. He was very lucky that Morgan Freeman did not slap the you know what out of him with his real thoughts. But Morgan gave the looks. Like, what the hell are you talking about to me about this President? You are not serious. I have seen Morgan Freeman do it. But I understand why he did not. Morgan lived this shit just like I did , and it turns your stomach, especially in our day and time when we did elected a man of color to hold the highest office in the land. We should be celebrated Piers, not depreciating this wonderful human being.

        • September 23, 2011 at 7:28 pm

I think Morgan Is trying so very hard for pro Obamaians to have a slip of the tongue, to say something negative about our beloved PBO. He’s a *THIT* stirrer, If you get my drift:-(

I think Luci119 is right. He is a shit stirrer. I don’t think it has anything to do with Obama. It has to do with wanting to make news, to be talked about. “Hey, did you hear this on Peir Morgan last night…” is more important than what is said. And he is not the only one. Again, these people are in show biz, not news biz. Chris Mathews, used to do same to Bush supporters, and I loved it. The shoe is now on the other foot. We should be able to take it and roll.

Excuse me, but does he ask non-black guests the same questions or does he just ask the black quests? As you can tell (from my question) I don’t watch Piers, matter of fact I don’t even ask CNN.

He also asks non-black guests but only if they publicly supported PBO in 2008, for example Tom Hanks. I notice though he seems to be very, very persistent in getting blacks to bash Obama. I don’t know if it is to stir up some lie that PBO lost his African American base….

You are not kidding are you? You mean that loud mouth witch was named one of the most corrupt members of Congress. No wonder she didn’t have time to do anything about jobs in the black community all the many years she has been in Congress, she was busy lining her pockets.

It is obvious now why Maxine went on her PBO bashing tour. She wanted to appease her Rethug counterparts so they would stay off her ass with investigations. Unfortunately Maxine is one of many in the Capitol bldg with corrupt ties. This is the kind of cleanup Pres Obama was talking about during his 2008 run. Its a no wonder nothing can get passed in Congress. Their approval ratings deserve to be 14%. :???:

Probably why she’s been doing her PBO bashing media tour. Maybe they promised her to back off of the ethics investigation. That’s what I tweeted to her in Aug when the CBC was doing their “jobs tour” or whatever they wanted to call it.

  5. September 23, 2011 at 6:38 pm

I do not watch Piers Morgan. He is an egotistical man who can’t recognize that many Americans do not like him. What is interesting though is that he keeps interviewing pro-Obama supporters. I am glad at least one network gives time to praise our President. It’s as if Piers keeps asking these questions that backfire on him. That is OK with me as long as pro-Obama supporters can raise their voices in praise of our POTUS to spread the word to our country.

  9. September 23, 2011 at 7:02 pm

Just watching this chokes me up big time. The promise. The thrill of that inauguration. It just makes me cry when I think of these ugly souls who try to stand in our way. I will never give up on our President. Ever.

    • September 24, 2011 at 6:37 am

I feel the same meta. I tried to watch the dvd of the inauguration this week but with all the negativity and ugliness toward your wonderful president, instead of uplifting me as it usually does I just felt so sad. It was such a thrilling time such promise and hope. I still feel the same way about President Obama – nothing will ever take that away from any of us who love and respect him but I can’t help feeling sad by the way he is being treated by the bigoted media and the intransigent GOP House critters. (Pardon the disrespect but I can not respect a body that is just trying to destroy PBO and America at the same time)

Meta, you are and always have been such a wonderful supporter of President Obama and I truly understand your feelings, I know you will never give up on Barack, neither will I, he really is the best thing that has ever happened to the world.

Thank you Chipsticks for this lovely place to come to express our love and admiration for PBO. Love you all!

“And he’s gonna do it …”

    IN_DEED he is Mr Freeman.

In fact, he started a few days back and he’s not going to let up.

    Mr. Freeman is correct.

President Obama committed, as we all know and have discussed among ourselves the past 2+ years, to be President of America – not blue, not red, all. And, he has.

And, the bigoted #GOPFAIL have attacked him viciously, continue to destroy our economy in their vengeful efforts to defeat the black man in the White House.

Everyone has seen it. No one of reason doubts the President’s sincerity.

And, so now, #GOPFAIL get ready for a colossal defeat, led by the ‘warrior of the middle class’ – President Obama.

    Yes.We.Can. … DO.More.Together!

Smart man….atleast he did not turn into an Obama hater like a lot of black folks who thought Obama was going to cure all their problems when he was elected. PBO is fighting against a system and that is what so many people forget. It’s not only up to him to solve the economic problems of America, democracy prevents him from doing that. That’s why I don’t even like to refer to PBO as the most powerful man on the earth because in reality he isn’t; he is one of the most powerful men on the earth. By giving him that title it puts a lot of blame on him that is not just. He has the potential to be a great President but without the cooperation of so many people including those who hate him there is only so much he can do. A lot of Republicans are out to ensure he fails and their is only so much he can do about it. Without democracy I believe with all my heart that the economical position of America would be sound and thriving well but democracy is good because it safe guards a state in case a corrupt person is elected President etc. Everything has positives and negatives.

            September 23, 2011 at 10:55 pm

Exactly!!!! I also hear the same sentiments from black Americans I know and it drives me up a wall!!! That’s why I congratulate PBO’s stance on improving the education system in schools across the country because honestly I think a lot of them don’t know. There was a lot of hype when PBO was elected. We heard people even referring to him as the messiah or some kind of saviour. Black people thought their miseries were going to go all away. They didn’t know how terrible the economy was when PBO took office. So when they realise two years later there were still difficulty finding a job they started to talk nonsense about Obama saying “he ain’t ish” or “he ain’t care about black people” etc. They are unaware of the constant opposition PBO faces both from Republicans and DEMOCRATS. Some of them don’t know the games of politics and the extent of power a President has.Part of the blame must fall on the media because there was a lot of emphasis on a black man being the MOST POWERFUL MAN ON THE EARTH which is exaggerated and quite frankly is false. So many of them don’t even read a book because they are too caught up on what’s happening on BET and MTV that if the oil price go up they think it’s Obama’s fault and the media has a part to play in their miseducation because every damn thing that goes wrong is Obama…Obama….no one says a word about Congress! As soon as you start to get inform about what is taking place around you immediately your take on PBO and his governance will change because you get to see the REAL President you have; the type of man he is and what he stands for….turn off CNN and FOX get on the internet do your own research and don’t depend on another man’s word. Look at the opponents of Obama’s Presidency…do you want those people to lead you?…if you think PBO isn’t doing a good job don’t even imagine what will happen if anyone of those candidates gets in power because Americans you will be FUCKED!
            PBO cannot do it ALONE!!!!!!

          • September 24, 2011 at 12:41 am

Anniebella its only a few black american that talk like that, and a few who gets paid to bash Obama, I wish you all will notice that out of all the group the Blacks still support him more then the others. i really don’t like to have to put American people in groups by race, but I see this a lot on this site, special from you about how a blacks is piss with Obama, There going to be some people of all race going to be piss who ever the President is. and P statement ( I also hear the same sentiments from black Americans) sound like the PL or something worse, Black people has Obama back the question is will the White folk have his back. In 2010 some whites turned on him and some blacsk stayed home. For Obama to win we have to come together and stop the bashing of each race, There are some blacks who don’t know politic and need and education like P said but you forgot to mention, There are some white who has a fear of Black people. We both have problem that we need to work on, But for now, Lets work on electing Obama/Biden 2012

What are yall talking about? Prez Obama has 92% approval ratings by the African American electorate. Cornel West, Tivas Smiley, and Maxine Waters does not represent the entire black race in America. Just like Dan Choi does not represent all Gays in America. Please stop allowing the media to dictate how we feel, think, and respond. Obama/Biden 2012!!

              • September 24, 2011 at 2:14 am

Keith in C -bus, Ohio, I seen this kind of talk a few time here from the same people, Seem like a few here really don’t know Black people well. Let something happen to this brother Yes he is the President of all American but he do have thay dark skin color that said he’s a brother. and what with that statement from P. ( That’s why I congratulate PBO’s stance on improving the education system in schools across the country because honestly I think a (lot of them) don’t know.) WOW!. News flash, there are more blacks staying in school then droping out. we just need those who are droping out to stay in. Every Country has their pocket of uneducated poor people, But what is the TeaParty reason for thier action.

                • 56 P
                  September 24, 2011 at 3:14 am

dun and Keith I know (and I am sure Anniebella knows) that out of any race of people the percentage of black people that supports PBO is the highest. How one race of people came into discussion? because Piers Morgan always asks his black guests questions that trys to get them to bash Obama. We could of got into a discussion on latinos, whites asians etc but those other groups weren’t the subject of this thread. We know that the majority of blacks still have Obama’s back even the MSM admits that…so why do you think we believe the opposite and don’t know blacks? What we were simply getting across was the ignorance of those who were Obama lovers in 2008 and now are undecided or simply states they wouldn’t vote again. We just don’t understand their reason for such disappointment in the President when he does the best he can. “In 2010 some whites turned on him and some blacsk stayed home.” – exactly and we don’t want the same thing to happen in 2012!!! Ofc we know that there are white who fear a black man in a high position and that PBO’s most fragile base is within this group. I can go on and on about this but I won’t. “News flash, there are more blacks staying in school then droping out. we just need those who are droping out to stay in.” – newsflash I know this as well and clearly they have to have some knowledge because once again the majority of them STILL support PBO. Some of you all are too sensitive and like to over-read others discussion without understanding where they are coming from. I don’t know if it is because some of you all are afraid to talk anything that has to do with race but I don’t. As long as racism exist I will continue to speak on it! Instead of accusing people of being PL gather some facts first! Anniebella just stated what pisses her off and notice she said “some” and not “MOST” or “ALL”. I responded to her post by stating why some feel such disappointment in PBO because of their miseducation. How about if you don’t like a particular discussion stay out of it. I do it many times on this site.

Our main goal is to get ALL the votes necessary for PBO in 2012! If that means educating a brother/sister or two. One vote less is too many in my book. I hope you both can better understand this time….

If you find we’re picking on one race of people, remind us to have a discussion on PBO white supporters whenever Piers Morgan has a white PBO supporter guest on his show…I promise you once I have the time I’ll get into it.

“(lot of them) don’t know.) WOW!.” – that a lot of “them” key word “them” was refering to those who turned against PBO not the entire black race.

This is why I was glad that the losers on Morning Joke asked Elizabeth whether she can really make a difference when she’s only one voice. This is what the President has been up against – the entire Washington machinery focused on destroying one man – not just destroying his career, but destroying him personally. And yet, he has persisted.

And Elizabeth’s answer about her voice amplifying many voices behind her is exactly what the President was relying on – what he thought he had that would counter the machine he was about to engage in battle. And this is the same group that Elizabeth is relying on.

I just saw a segment on local TV about the closing of an elementary school in Oakland due to lack of funds. This Piers morgan guy is a doke. Freeman was spot on, the tea baggers are racist idiots who cant accept that America voted this black man as Potus. I am always perplexed by racists not wanting to ever be called out and then turn it around by blaming those that mention it or those that have faced racism of playing the race card. Oh puhleeeeze. On huff and puff, the haters/ racists are really mad and are demonising Freeman even saying how bad an actor he is, blah blah. Ty Pennington is on HLN with Joy Behar talking about FLOTUS and her Extreme Makeover episode. He’s saying really nice things about FLOTUS and POTUS and the family.

Hmmm….. interesting interview. Gonna have to watch it on monday. And no Piers, the teaparty isn’t gaining traction no matter how much you wish for them to “rule” America. How the heck can they be gaining traction when they have multiple rallies and only five or less people show up swaying in the wind as though they’re high or drunk as skunks.

You have nerves of steel, UT. I don’t know how you stand to watch all these shows – the clips here on Chipstick’s blog are pretty much all I can stomach. Thanks for all the great summaries!

@Boeing knowingly screwed workers in WA State to screw workers in South Carolina bit.ly/oApGfX #GOPFAIL has their back

Boeing saw risks, chose S.C. anyway

Boeing decided to locate a 787 Dreamliner plant outside the Seattle area to gain the upper hand with employee unions, concluding that goal trumped the new site’s higher risks and expenses, corporate documents show.

“The NLRB investigated, at the Machinists’ behest, and accused Boeing in April 2011 of violating employees’ federally protected right to strike, saying public comments made by executives showed the decision was meant to chill future walkouts.

“I’m already hearing it from managers on the line, saying, ‘Hurry up and get it done; if you don’t get it done, we’ll move this to South Carolina,’ ” Patrick Bertucci, a fuel-cell mechanic on the 737 program, said at a union news conference Friday.”

MY FAVORITE TEABAGGER JOKE: “An Amish farmer is walking through his field when he sees a guy drinking from his pond, scooping it up with his hand. The farmer says, “Trinken sie nicht das wasser, die kuhe unddie schweine haben in ihm geschissen,” which means, ‘Don’t drink the water, the cows and the pigs shit in it.’ The Guy shouts back, “I’m a Tea Bagger, and this is America… I don’t understand your gibberish,so speak English, you Moron!” The farmer says, “Use two hands, you’ll get more.

    Happy Saturday TOD Family

Finally someone in our lazy, sloppy, irresponisble good for nothing media is talking about this horrible “do nothing congress” and comparing it to the previous congress. Although I disagree with the end of this segment about the Senate (because the Senate basically votes on what the House sends to them and if the House is doing nothing well….you’ll see my point).

Donna D4O, Morning! Just wanted to share this communication with a friend in the States with you

      Hi P,
Thank you, and ‘in my name’ doesn’t really matter. However, you are ‘in trouble’ because from your note I can tell you forgot to use the latest donation site I sent you. That site starts at $10 and has a spot for whatever amount you choose. My friend Donna S. is in a real competition AND I wanted to feel ‘a connection’ to her, plus I want her to win. Here’s some info about her effort…

As you all know by now I am participating in the Obama Reelection Fundraising Challenge. Top prizes for the Grassroots Fundraising Challenge will go to the two people who receive the greatest number of donations and the two people who raise the most money between September 1st and September 30th, 2011. [LV's highlight]
First place gets a personal phone call with President Obama and second place gets a personal phone call with Vice President Biden.
I spent the last week working hard to build a lead in this poll raising lots of money for the campaign with friends, family and blogging compadres but today #2 leaped over me into 1st place. He/She is not raising a ton of money but instead is getting people to donate in $5.00 and $3.00 increments. There is nothing wrong or out of bounds with this tactic so in order to stay in the game I’m going to have to adopt the same method. A $15.00 donation can be (5) 3.00 donations or a $10.00 donation can be (2) $5.00 donation. I believe that $3.00 is the minimum amount that can be donated at one time. You get the idea…

      http://www.barackobama.com/grassroots-fundraising/challenge-leaderboard

If today is payday or if you maybe have a few dollars that you can donate can you please break that donation up into multiple gifts? I know it’s an extra step or two or three but it looks like this is the only way to hold onto this lead.

      https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/donnanoshock3

Thanks again. Love you all for your overwhelming support!”

So, can I ask on bended knee for an early Christmas present of $10-$15, entered through the site indicated in $3 amounts, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! This is my one request for the present I REALLY, REALLY want. ;) You could even ask Katey to help you enter it if hubby doesn’t want to bother with the repetition. This competition ends next Friday (Sept. 30). It matters to me that Donna win because she’s raised over $2000+ while the person who has jumped over her has raised $500+. In addition, Donna has been actively involved with the campaign for years now and is always encouraging out site members to ‘get out the vote’.

      https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/donnanoshock3

Thank you lots if you can help in this effort!
      LV

By the way, I can’t believe you said ‘I opted not to enter for a chance to have dinner with him. I don’t especially care to.’ THAT hurts! It really does. Maybe I should warn you that I have a visceral connection with PBO and disparaging remarks are ‘fighting words’? I’ve already agreed with two good friends here that we won’t discuss him. Actually it wasn’t really an AGREEMENT – I just told them in the interest of our friendship I would not discuss their opinions of his leadership, even though they ‘still supported him’. A gentle warning, Miss Peach?

Okay, I’m off to answer the other email you sent me. Blessings your way!

      DONNA D4O, here’s the good part –

      Sorry Lills
I was so focussed on getting it done (I have a thing about keeping promises) I just went ahead. I promise on my knees to donate another 21 dollars at least (in small amounts) by Sept. 30 (more if I can manage it) so your friend can benefit. I will try to get others on board now I understand. In my mind though she’s already won. Tell her I said to prepare herself properly for the phone call. Somehow though I believe she will actually get to meet Mr. Pres. as well. So tell her to prepare her outfit and her consciousness. Picture herself doing it, being there, in the experience. Feel what she expects to feel. It works. I’ve worked it. You know that. Give her my email and let me pump her up. Such effort deserves the best possible reward. Far as I’m concerned it’s hers already, or better, if she really believes.
With regard to “I don’t care to” I just believe there are others who deserve it and care about it much more, like your friend Donna. Is it transferable?
      Enough preaching.
      Go Donna S.

Go Donna! We are right behind you! And it’s going to feel like we are all on that call!

OMG you’ve got me in tears vcprezofan2.

The support from this site has been overwhelming and this comment just bares that out. :)

Honestly I don’t feel worthy of such love and support. Words somehow don’t seem to be enough. I wouldn’t even have a shot at this if it were not for the donations I have received here at TOD. I’ll have to find some way to thank you all!.

Regardless of how this turns out I have already won on so many levels….

        • September 24, 2011 at 10:23 am

Miss D, I’d wager we here at TODville feel special ‘thanks’ are not necessary. This is a team effort, and each of us bring our own skills, or contributions, or connections ;) to this very important struggle against ‘the crazy’. [I actually got the idea of a gift from ChristiMtl.] You are us (remember that lame brain who proclaimed ‘I’m you’ ;) ). And Honey, if ‘worthy’ was a criterion many of us would not get any love/support. {{{DD4O}}} We totally appreciate your focus and efforts re PBO’s campaign and if you win, we win.  I know all the participants in this challenge are on the same team, and that OFA benefits from all contributions, but I’m still going to say to you ‘Go get ‘em!’

  27. September 24, 2011 at 9:29 am

Happy Saturday Morning, Chips and TODville! May our day be filled with laughter, healthy feeling and lots of positive vibes and support of the President’s administration and of each other! May the nay-sayers have very little impact today! ‘This is my American prayer.’

Since M.Freeman is talking about racism in this clip with that Piers guy I wanted to share my experience about that topic from Facebook.

As some of you know I spread a lot of information through Facebook. Over the last 10 months I started to become more and more active and began hosting events in support of the President’s polices over there. When you host an event you invite your “friends” and they invite their “friends” to your event. The more the merrier. Right? Well not always. Once the invites get outside of my circle of Facebook Friends I will encounter people at various levels of support for the President and even some who don’t support him at all.

Now, this is when it gets interesting. I will get all types of messages left in my personal message box (Chips and BWD know what I mean) on FB when I’m hosting these events. Some will be leftist who are not happy with the President but are respectful about it. I’ll get leftist who are nasty and mean. I get Republicans who leave me some of the ugliest, most racist rants that you can ever imagine and then there are the conservatives who think PBO is bad for America and not fit to lead our country.

My reaction to the racist comments is to respond with a simple “you do know you are a racist” don’t you? Then I report and block them. The ones who think he is not fit at first I ignored, then I tried to engage with them and now I just study their commentary.
This is what I have concluded:

They don’t believe that the media vetted PBO at all during the 2008 election because they wanted an historic figure in the race for ratings. (blatant racism)
They believe that youth of all colors (because they don’t care about a person’s race) and black and brown people voted for PBO simply because he is black. (blatant racism)
Whites voted for PBO out of white guilt (slavery, jim crow, segregation etc…) and for no other reason because had they used their senses they would have known he wasn’t qualified. (what made PBO not qualified was the color of his skin – blatant racism)
He only gives good speeches (with the help of the teleprompter) but nothing else. (a black man cannot possibly be able to do more than put on a good show – subtle racism)
    and drum roll please………
Obamacare has DESTROYED THE COUNTRY. (their children and grandchildren have health care because of this man but let’s not give him any credit, I wonder why – blatant racism)

In my opinion the people who think PBO is not fit to lead our country are far worse than the outright racist because they don’t have a clue as to how racist they really are.

However, these same Reopublicans thought GWB was qualified, they thought McCain & Palin were qualified, they think Bachmann, Perry, Ron Paul, and all the republican candidates are more qualified than PBO. The only difference is RACE and the fact he is a Democrat. The GOP just do not believe any democrat should run this country or have any political control to steer this country to better everyday Americans lives. They think the Rich will trickle down crumbs for them and put as many minorities in prison as they can.
