She called us the dispirited base. I hate the msm and Christine has been such a huge disappointment. I love David!

There is simply no depth to the discussion on any of the network Sunday morning shows. I think they believe their viewers want simple sound bites and do not wish to hear complexities.

      • September 25, 2011 at 11:09 pm

Personally I think they don’t know how to do ‘depth’ or ‘complexities’. Not everybody is naturally a deep thinker and these journalists have not sharpened their wits in soooo long that I don’t doubt their brains have atrophied.

What the hell happened to Christine?!?!? I was so excited when she took over from Stephanopolous, and she has been horrible, turning her back on her own fine journalistic career.

The media just makes stuff up – “his dispirited base”.. good grief. Thank you David Plouffe~

Dang Chips did you just eat a power bar? Boom! Boom! Boom! New thread after new thread. ;)

Love the bedwetter question Amanpour asked Plouffe in regards to whiny Carville aka Skeletor.

I cannot for the life of me understand why the Dems use Carville to solicit donations? I am a loyal Democrat but whenever I see one of those emails from Skeletor I admit that I hit the delete button every time. I cannot stand this guy. He bashes the Dems and then they use him to fundraise. Sometimes Dems can be so confusing.

      • September 25, 2011 at 5:35 pm

I don’t just delete them. Always say, the day you fully support and stand up for President Obama, is the day I support you. Period. Just got a letter asking to support Bernie Sanders because he stands up for Social Security. I responded saying President Barack Obama stands up for social security and Bernie Sanders undermines him. When Sanders fully supports the president, I’ll might consider supporting him. Until then, get lost. My responses may or may not get read, but I feel better.

Excellent Jackie, I need to do that too.

This is how I feel too but most importantly I think the scapegoating of the President is starting to backfire on anyone who tries it. At some point I figured this would start happening when the narrative didn’t fit the reality often enough. I certainly feel it has started with me and I would suggest that this is the thing that is not being recognized on the Left or the Right.

        • September 26, 2011 at 10:30 am

I do the same thing. Anyone who disrespects and/or scapegoats the President I let them know. Not only do I not contribute to them, I go to their web site and send them an another email. IMO, we should not stop calling, emailing and faxing Congresscritters until they get the message.

        • September 27, 2011 at 5:27 am

Jackie -I so agree with you..why give our support to a bunch of do nothings when they cannot give their best to support the President.

Donna – When I see his name, I send the emails back and tell them I’ll donate directly to OFA. Hate to say it, but also did that when the DCCC had Bill Clinton sign one (he was never in Congress; he’s not the President – sorry; that’s how I personally feel). Cringe factor.

        • September 25, 2011 at 9:03 pm

When I get those from Carville , I write back and tell them that he is not the best representatives of the Dem party and I don’t care to donate to any organization that see him as viable a solicitor on behalf of the President. NO WAY.

Romney, Harvard Grad With Harvard Advisers, Rips ‘Harvard Faculty Lounge’

Romney’s Foreign Policy Speech Takes On ‘The Harvard Faculty Lounge’ And (Basically) Rick Perry

First Black Elected to Head Harvard’s Law Review
    http://www.nytimes.com/1990/02/06/us/first-black-elected-to-head-harvard-s-law-review.html?src=pm

In bashing Harvard, Romney hits alma mater

But Romney’s Harvard connection does not end with his own resume.

Like him, sons Tagg, Matt, and Josh all went to Brigham Young University as undergraduates. Then they also followed in their father’s footsteps by attending Harvard Business School.

Today, Tagg Romney is a venture capitalist who, until recently, split office space with his father. Matt Romney is in real estate in San Diego, while Josh Romney similarly works in real estate in Salt Lake City.

Furthermore, a large number of the advisers who help Romney speak about foreign policy – the subject of his speech yesterday – are also Harvard alums or teachers.

Among them are former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey (Harvard undergrad), Meghan O’Sullivan (Kennedy School teacher), William Martel (Harvard post-doctoral fellow), and Dan Senor (Harvard Business School graduate).

Someone else with some common sense besides PBO.
Clinton::- “I’ll pay more but it won’t solve a problem.” Umm… You don’t know that UNTIL YOU START PAYING MORE!!
You should have just said it Plouffe, “Yes, Carville is a bedwetter.”
    Go Plouffe!

ICYMI: The SNL season opener skit, GOP debate

    ======================================

Brilliant opening for SNL, featuring Alec Baldwin as Rick Perry, a great Michele Bachmann by Kristin Wiig, Shep Smith as a “silly little rag doll” (with secrets) and the funniest Ron Paul ever. (“Let the puppies burn!)

They’ll ask anybody—credible or not—for their opinion on the president’s plan as long as they can manufacture a controversy. “My dog, Ruff, thinks your plan stinks. What have you got to say about that?”

“Oh, and an economist—whose opinion you’ve solicited—thinks your plan will only work for 3 years then we’re back where we started.” Three frigging years? The Teabaggers may be returned to their respective asylums by then, the Haley Bobbit comet may have cut off our planet’s reproductive cycle by then, we may have a congress full of men and women with functioning brains by then…! Good grief!

And “the former president” (who craves a shoeshine, and whose mistakes re the telecommunications act, the rights of LGBT citizens, financial deregulation and the ‘welfare-reformed’ poor—the current, REAL first Black president is battling mightily to correct—on coast- to-coast hookups) “touts portions of the plan as unwise. What about that, Mr. Plouffe?” Well, Christiane, his wife says Mr. Clinton’s truthtelling is akin to a devil in a blue dress. But he’s good at golf.”

    Cat herders, unite!

Read this: Melissa Harris Perry asks, is there a liberal racial double-standard for presidents?

    =====================================================================

Despite an actually pretty robust record of legislative successes, the Glenn Greenwalds, Jane Hamshers, Adam Greens and David Sirotas of the world, not to mention the Dan Chois (what is he chaining himself to these days, by the way…?) and what Obama’s original press team derided as the “professional left” — columnists like Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, Paul Krugman, etc, are rarely much below apoplectic rage and disappointment and just plain dissatisfaction when it comes to this president. Don’t Ask Don’t Tell repealed? Not good enough. Choi is still pissed off, and wants Obama to apologize for every past president’s every failure to sufficiently big up gay troops. Healthcare reform? Not good enough. No public option. Iraq war drawdown? Not fast enough. Equal pay law signed? What’s that? Never heard of it and who is Lily Ledbetter, some damned Obama-lover Obamabot??? Unemployment benefits extended? Bush tax cuts extended too, so who cares. Let the unemployed march on Wall Street … Naked!! START treaty? Well why didn’t he destroy ALL American nukes? Huh? Not good enough! Killed Osama bin Laden? REDRUM!!!! You get the idea.

President Obama has faced about as hostile a left wing as I’ve seen, and I’ve been a political junkie my whole life. And I can tell you from conversations with black Democrats there are more than a few who believe that Obama is being held to an impossibly high standard — jump higher, run faster, black man, just to be considered just as good, by the liberal “elite.” Don’t shoot the messenger, people. That’s the sentiment I hear, over and over and over again.

Christine has been spinning for quite sometime now…

She’s Mrs Rubin after all and her Clintonite husband and she for all intents and purposes, are part of the undermine President Obama brigade…

      I absolutely adore David Plouffe….

Way to go Melissa! She knows whereof she speaks.
Christiane has NO understanding of domestic politics, therefore just parrots what she hears. She lived in other countries so long, she is at home outside the U.S., but has no deep understanding of this country.
