At the risk of being pesty I am bringing this over from the last thread.
The protestor is one of the most articulate I have hear in a long time.
Fox news talking to someone on the Occupy Wall Street movement. The protestor eats the fox guy for lunch and at the end has a very positive comment about the president and the conversation we as a country need to be having.
OccupyWallStreet Protester Destroys Fox News Reporter
That guy was just amazing. He is demonstrating that this is a participatory democracy and that knowledge is power. An informed voter is the worst nightmare for the Republican Party.
What is Working this interview was just amazing , can you please sent it viral and check if FOX will play it over, and over .
I bet they will not have the BULLOCKS TO PLAY IT. Thanks WIW this is a beauty.
Thanks for this WIW. Great interview. Good to see ordinary people speaking truth to power.
Not sure what the Wall St. protest is all about but this gives me hope that there are some
sane people there.
I heard someone (sounded like Cokie Roberts, but I couldn’t be sure) this morning on NPR declare with confidence that the protesters have nothing to do with the President, because he’s lost all of them already, just like he’s losing his grassroots arm, because he only raised less than half of the 10,000 volunteers that he had expected to gain. She was quite smug about it – I’m glad to hear this opposing report from you, WiW.
The media is going to LIE and try to frame this protest as an anti-Obama thing – which is why I was very concerned about certain individuals/groups who are clearly out to use this event to HELP the Republicans. I also expect the folks at the protest who support the President to step up and let the media and those Ron Paul/Nader supporters that this is not about bashing the President.
I hope they can pull their message together – because these jackals who are out to destroy this Presidency will quickly fill that void. Every time I hear someone interviewed, they say “there are lots of issues”. That’s just too vague. But, it sounded like some sensible people were trying to pull together a cohesive and clear coalition in recent days. I wish them luck – otherwise, they’ll just succeed in demoralizing a whole group of young people, who could be gathering voter registrations instead.
hopefruit2 why not send this vidio to cookie to shut her up she is realy smug, and she thinks her point of view
is the right one crap we all know that the MSM is going to Lie, Lie and Lie so why pay attention to them.
My suggestion to you all is to attend these demonstrations if one is planned for your area and make a big fat sign that says “Pass the Bill” or American Jobs Bill or Jobs not Cuts.
They are already occupying Market street in SF. We are planning an occupy walls street for Oct 15th (I think the same day Rev Al is marching) . Our protest will be very pro Obama, you can make that happen in your community also by getting involved.
Don’t they know that Obama supporters, even those who are somewhat disaffected, like Michael Moore, are going to be out thhere protesting? Van Jones is putting together something and so is Rev. Al and Ed Shutltz. What are these peoople talking about. These protestors are trying to HELP the President.
Wow! Thanks for posting this person’s answers to the FOX News reporter. I cannot imagine that his interview actually was used on the FOX show. Anyone know if it was used or not?
President Obama is doing everything he can from the EXECUTIVE BRANCH to create jobs for the American people. He is merely asking the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH to do their job and pass the American Jobs Act. He gave a very forceful call to action prior to his cabinet meeting that lasted about three minutes.
PRESIDENT OBAMA COMMENTS BEFORE MEETING WITH HIS CABINET
President Obama says he expects Congress to vote on jobs legislation this month and plans to press legislative leaders from both parties to act quickly on his proposal. These remarks came during a meeting with cabinet members Monday morning at the White House. The President also said he will have announcements on the free trade agreements in the next day or so.
I see Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats are letting the President down, once again. I could have screamed this morning when I heard a sound clip from Reid saying “they’ll get to it” when asked about the jobs bill, and he sounded very chastising to the President. These people don’t actually understand that the support is for the President and his agenda, and they are on very thin ice because they’ve been nearly as destructive as the GOP on certain issues – Gitmo closure, budget and debt ceiling “debates”, climate change, immigration, Bush tax cuts – and they’ve left the President to face the heat of the public because they would not act. Either jobs are important or they’re not. Either rescuing the economy will be the focus on 2012 or not.Either these Democrats are going to get behind the President or not. It’s just crazy!
Chuck Schumer is balking at the revenue side of the bill because his friends on the Upper East side of NYC have a “higher cost of living” therefore shouldn’t pay higher taxes….
Thank you. I posted this comment on Old Orange several days ago. Where is the pressure on Gillibrand and Schumer who are in the legislative branch? Is President Obama the only one to be criticized? And don’t get me started on the Republicans in congress.
Just so you are aware…the guy in that video happens to be a blogger called MinistryofTruth on DKOS. He has been blogging on the occupywallstreet over the last several days. He commented that he was aware that Fox wanted to make this a “blame Obama” narrative but he was careful not to fall into their trap. http://www.dailykos.com/comments/1022332/43497475
Oh my goodness he was awesome! He needs to be on Reverend Al, Lawrence O’Donnell and Ed’s show tonight. I don’t tweet so someone do it for me. Get there very informative young man on some MSNBC shows, NOW!!! Bless you for sharing that wonderful video.
Reposting an urge to read this—-how multi-millionaire bought N.Car. state govt. for Repubs—–this is the kind of junk that is going on around the country—–another proof of the diaster that is the Sup Ct. Citizens United decision: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2011/10/10/111010fa_fact_mayer
Thanks for reposting dotster3. This is one of those articles that everyone needs to read to get a good understanding of the Koch Brothers. The subtitle says it all……”THE BILLIONAIRE BROTHERS WHO ARE WAGING A WAR AGAINST OBAMA”. It’s a must read.
Denise King (Philly jazz vocalist) posted this on facebook this am. Although she was talking life in general; IMHO, it eloquently describes our President, and how we as a group press on in support of the President and our nation.
“One day I threw some flower seeds in the earth. I watered them lovingly…fertilized them…cleared their space of weeds. I was attentive and cared about my garden. The first year, a plant burst through the soil, but there was no bloom. This went on for a number of seasons. Then, one season, it presented the most amazing flower I had seen. And so it is with our dreams. If you nurture them they will grow. Keep this in mind, just because you haven’t seen a bloom doesn’t mean you won’t. Some things take more time than others. Never give up. Change your approach, tweak your vision, pull weeds often. To every thing there is a season.”
This is a beautiful sentiment. I would also say (with respect to President Obama’s enormous achievements to date) that in that same garden, there are several flowers that have bloomed from the very early days of the garden’s planting. But if one flower out of many hasn’t bloomed yet, doesn’t prevent you from appreciating all the beauty that’s already been achieved, while waiting for your favorite one to flower. In President Obama’s case, the garden is 80% in bloom, despite wind, rain, hail, grazing goats, kids pulling up flowers, and ugly weeds that won’t shrivel and disappear.
Not as poetic as your quote – but you get my point, I’m sure…
I get your point exactly ! Reading your comment, I’m reminded of a Negro Spiritual “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few…” — health care, AJA, etc, the country as a whole benefits, however, there are so few doing the hard work of getting it passes… Sad, but we press on.
Chips thanks for the heads up although I still cringe at the thought of George S.
After that debacle of a debate during the primaries with Hillary, when he and Charlie Gibson
did such a poor job, he does not really impress me. I was one of millions who
e-mailed ABC that night and our voices did have an effect. So we are watching Georgie.:)
theo67 and Alycee–I loved both of your posts. I really believe what goes around comes around. Our President will be remembered as one of the best presidents we have ever had. History will be kind to him.
Wasn’t he terrific? He is such a sweetheart. I’m glad we have the Clark Kent glasses back.
Anyway, the jackals are clearly overwhelmed by the flawless roll out of The American Jobs Act. They are unable to formulate any intelligent questions. So they spent a good part of the briefing concern trolling for the Republican Party. Basically wringing their hands and obsessing over silly “process” issues. Jake “The Snarl” Tapper is very concerned about who is calling who and what negotiations are going on. Jay’s responses made the jackals look like whiny children. They were really pathetic today.
My blood pressure was going up at the beginning of the interview, and I think the President was also wondering whether George was going to let him answer a question fully without rudely interrupting him. But George pulled himself together, and the interview ended up ok. Too short, though.
Question from George: Over 50% of the people think you will be a one term president. Are you the underdog now?
President Obama Obama didn’t skip a beat and said YES I’m the underdogt. Then he does a nice job of talking about the choice that voters will have to make between him and the GOP opponent. It’s about values, priorities and your plan for the future. Obviously, the American people agree with President Obama’s approach.
Although in reality that does NOT put him in the “underdog” position because he has a solid 45% who think he should be elected, while the other 50-55% is split across a number of different candidates. However I think he likes being thought of as the “underdog.” so he went along with Georgie Porgie’s characterization….
Just think in 1995, 57% of DEMOCRATS thought that Bill Clinton should not be re-elected in 1996, and the corresponding number for President Obama has NEVER fallen below 70%….
I was reading some of the comments at ABC news after the interview. One person was really upset because the President said he was the underdog, but the commenter thought if he’s the underdog, “why does he look so confident”. It apparently was really getting under his skin.!!!!
I think that’s what piss a lot of people off about Pres. Obama. When they think he should be beaten, broken and bent he walks in with his head held high with that fabulous smile.
I think that’s what piss a lot of people off about Pres. Obama. When they think he should be beaten, broken and bent he walks in with his head held high with that fabulous smile.
Brooklyn, why do you have to preach like that? I am convinced that one of the reasons why the Repubs hate PBO is that he just refuses to get to their level and they know his refusal to do so makes them look bad. PBO’s favorability ratings have never tanked because of this because he realizes if people still like him–think he’s a good, decent family man, his economy ratings won’t tank as much. People may be upset about the economy but they still think PBO is a decent, family man and that counts for a lot.
He doesn’t want, need or desire Republican approval and that makes them mad and makes them careless. A whole lot of Republican candidates have said and done some things against PBO that will haunt them if they are the nominee; I can remember at least 3 things Michelle Bachmann said that were completely out of pocket that will get her few votes if she’s the nominee. And that’s what PBO is banking on–that the Republican nominee’s lack of discipline–saying things to rile up the teabaggers–will do the nominee in.
Not too worried please PBO is realy realy great in interviews, he knows when there is a GOT you question
or B,S question, PBO can take on anybody in the MSM and MOP the floor with them. and PBO will not give
them a sound bite that they can play pver, and over, I trust him
PBO is doing just fine, but guest what? we will not be hearing to much abount all the MSM will be talking about
Amanda Knox she was fount NOT guilty and she is coming to the USA right away. there was a Breaking news
by all networks.
I really enjoyed that interview. Many of those questions I would have taken very personally and my defense would have been very poor. President Obama does not take things personally, and his positions are very defensible because of that. I hope that he never shows that angry side against the powerful (read woefully ignorant); that he just keeps showing his power in steady even tones.
One of the more important political scandals of the year — a story that’s likely to have a major impact on the outcome of the 2012 race — generally goes overlooked by the larger mainstream discussion. That’s a problem.
The issue is what Ari Berman recently labeled the Republican Party’s “War on Voting.” As part of the national effort, GOP officials “have launched an unprecedented, centrally coordinated campaign to suppress the elements of the Democratic vote” in 2012.
The campaign isn’t exactly subtle. Under the auspices of rooting out “voter fraud” — a problem that appears to exist largely in the over-active imaginations of GOP activists — Republicans are passing voter-ID measures, closing windows for early voting, and approving new laws restricting voter-registration drives, all targeting specific kinds of voters who happen to be traditional Democratic supporters.
The GOP fears losing in a fair fight, so the party is trying to rig the game through voter suppression, plain and simple. As former President Bill Clinton recently put it, “There has never been in my lifetime, since we got rid of the poll tax and all the Jim Crow burdens on voting, the determined effort to limit the franchise that we see today.”
But what kind of numbers are we talking about? How much damage could this initiative really do? A new comprehensive Brennan Center study said Republican measures may ultimately make it “significantly harder” for more than 5 million eligible voters to cast ballots in 2012.
I think George Stephanopoulos learned from the last time he tried to embarrass the President with nonsense – and he was cut down to size by the President telling him that his motives were predetermined as evidenced by him bringing a dictionary with him to the interview. This time, George behaved, for the most part.
way back during the primary debate, a couple of interviews, Stephanopoulus was rude and obnoxious, to then candidate Obama-we used to call him Stepsarcophagus or something. Yes, this time I noticed he behaved better. It’s that this president is amiable and unflappable.
We blew ABC’s phone lines up after that debate. They had to actually do news reports trying to defend their line of questions. It was awful. Sean Hannity had made a statement on his Fox show the night before about what the questions should be for the upcoming debate and low and behold Charlie and George read those questions off the then Senator Obama almost verbatim. We let them have it that night.
That was unforgettably rigged towards Hillary as they had time for her to add onto the critiques against Obama but always needed to go to a commercial instead of letting Senator Obama speak. Also it dealt with flag pins, and trivial things vs policy.
Re: question about how PBO protects Malia and Sasha (negative news/PBO bashings etc) PBO said among other things “they know who their Daddy is” which I think is a warm honest answer. Also PBO pointed out that at the end of the day what is most important for Michelle and him is how they raise their children “so far so good”………Stephanopolous tried to corner him on Solynddra but PBO also gave an honest authentic reply. I love that PBO is authentic, articulate, level headed with an even temperament (aka cool) but also wears his heart on his sleeves sometimes.
That’s why he doesn’t get flustered by these questions – because he speaks authentically and honestly from the heart, and he believes and has thought about what he’s doing. He’s not like the GOP who are flip-flopping all over the place to cater to the tea party extremists in their party, or blowing whichever way the media wind is blowing. He’s true to himself, and he’s thought long and hard about his positions, so he can answer intelligently and genuinely – and it comes through. He’s great!
To Be Successful Occupy Wall Street Must Transition To The Ballot Box
[Snip]
What is missing from the declaration are goals the protestors hope to achieve as well as a list of demands for corporations to meet. However, corporations are not beholden to the protestors and there is nothing whatsoever the assembly can exact from occupying Wall Street except self-satisfaction that they at least did something. It is understandable that people are fed up with corporations controlling much of the government, but thousands of angry protestors will not make one bit of difference. In the First Amendment, it says peaceable assemblies can petition the Government for a redress of their grievances. The Occupy Wall Street movement is not petitioning the Government. They are protesting corporations
The protest is a noble venture, but it is an exercise in futility because unless Congress passes meaningful
legislation to curb corporate malfeasance, nothing will change and apparently that is fine with the protestors. If the movement is serious about precipitating change, the first place to start is petitioning the government with a list of demands. But even petitioning the government with demands is never going to change corporations. There are Constitutional procedures for changing laws and it does not include occupying Wall Street, or any other street in any other city. It is called voting, and it works
Hi amk…the unofficial final results show me the winner (thanks in large part to TOD) for a call from President Obama in both dollars raised and number of donors. OFA Hdqtrs has until the 7th to make it official. The 3rd Qtr numbers will not be reported until the 15th of October.
Jeebus. I am so sorry chips. I kept psoting that question to donna but never actually saw it getting posted. Now suddenly, bam, all of them appear. Please delete the unnecessary ones.
I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on this. I think that an occasional rally is great to show that people are angry. Other parts of that anger would be better spent in organizing and rallying people to vote. I understand what the Arab spring is all about. However, that isn’t the case hear. We do have the ability to speak with our vote where people around the world don’t. Their only voice is to take to the streets.
Here in America is we can vote. We must take it upon ourselves to be sure that those that are taking actions to suppress the vote are not successful. We can help ensure that our elderly who find it difficult to obtain photo ids and disenfranchised in other ways, have the opportunity to participate in our democracy. That should be uppermost in our minds as well as those young people who are protesting on Walls Street and soon to be in cities around the country.
All of the stand-ins and sit-ins around the country won’t help as much as we were to find ways to ensure that every one who wants to vote has the opportunity to vote.
Pretty decent interview with Georgr. I loveee to listen to that deep baritone voice
of PBO especially in these ono on one interviews. George tried some of his tricky questions
but he was outclassed and outsmarted again by Mr Brilliance in Chief.
Just love our Prez!!!
The President was great, but George was awful with his negative, biased questions. I can not stand him. Fake liberal never gotten over Pres kicking Hillary to the curb. I sent him a number of tweets letting him know how much I hated his questions and his performance because again he interrupted the president. So rude.
i’m just so glad I can hear all of the recaps on this interview here, since – although I really want to see PBO – I’m having a hard time listening to that awful George S ask his uninformed, biased questions.
I think you should still listen to the interview, because the President’s answers about his children, Michelle’s advice and him perusing the blogs were all quite sweet. The rest of the usual. And he looked good, too…
Oh, Donna, I just despise George. I will never forget his behavior toward Senator Obama in that ABC News debate. He was disgusting then and he’s disgusting now.
I didn’t get to see the interview, but the article on ABC was depressing. It gives the impression that the President is fee’s defeated. I hope the actual interview was better than what Georgie wrote about it. Also, ABC is thrilled that the campaign didn’t get as many grassroots donations as they had hoped. Where was the donor info posted?
I’d like to know where that information came from too. I sent mine in. Anyway, it’s early, it will pick up. But still want to knowwhere they got that information.
I didn’t see the interview either just read comments on this blog hoping it will be posted later. I came back to the blog and since I have a yahoo email address I have automatic news articles listed next to my email. I opened the one about PBO’s ABC interview and saw they must have parsed the words to get their own spin on the campaign. From reading the article it sounded like PBO agrees that no one should vote for him due to the economy and polls being down. There are positive reasons listed but the caption head and main focus is that PBO agrees to the fact that it is worse now than it was four years ago. I am hating the media more than ever.
Mr. President, Sir, if this is one of the blogs you check – We here at TOD love you and we totally appreciate what you ARE DOING, polls notwithstanding! Your focus is awesome, and we will stand with you and behind you. PRESS ON, SIR!
I think every blog out there is now wondering if they’re one of the ones that the President visits, but I have to believe he comes here to be replenished. He must.
Did y’all see this from the “erroneous” (lying) media – which does damage to Speaker for Life Pelosi’s reputation for being truly supportive of President Obama? She’s used to the lies, but this is a damn shame.
Unforgivable. And so predictable that the right wing pounced on it – even the retraction doesn’t’ clear up the confusion. It still implies that she did use those words in another interview, and yet her office has emphatically denied it. So disgusting.
‘HERB” CAIN FEELS THE WRATH OF REPUBLICAN PARTY LEADERS (Limbaugh, Daily Caller, Erick Erickson, and others)
Cain runs into far-right buzzsaw
========================
Common sense might suggest conservatives would be outraged by Perry, but that’s not what’s happened. As Dan Amira explained, “To understand why, you have to consider that there are two things Republicans hate more than anything. One is being accused of racism, which has happened with increasing frequency since President Obama became president, and, if you ask Republicans, is never, ever justified. Two is unfair treatment by the allegedly biased mainstream media. So among Republicans, the widespread response to the Post story was not, ‘wow, Rick Perry messed up.’ It was, ‘the liberal media is smearing another Republican as a racist!’”
And so Cain — the only Republican presidential candidate to criticize Perry over this, by the way — immediately felt the brunt of the right’s frustrations. Cain may have been offended by the name, but his party has a message for him: “Keep that offense to yourself.”
Indeed, the pushback was not at all subtle. Cain took heat from Rush Limbaugh, Erick Erickson, and The Daily Caller, among many others.
Cain, then, apparently felt like he had no choice but to reverse course. In the eyes of the GOP base, he’s the one who made a mistake.
Seems to me the recent Cain talk of AAs being brainwashed into supporting the Democrats ought to give him pause with how he has been treated by “his” party’s treatment of AAs.
I think “Herb” is brainwashed. He cowtows to Rush and the RW because he told the truth? Now he has to apologizes for not keeping you feelings to yourself! Sorry Herb, I don’t need to belong to a party like that.
Whenever the “N” word is involved, and even more so when the perpetrator is from the South, you can’t call it a smear campaign. The only thing I hope comes out of this is that Herman Cain either shoots up in the polls, making him the more likely Republican nominee, or he opens his eyes and realizes that he’s being used over there. Either will work well.
Herman Cain can’t cry about any kind of ethnic attack since he declared proudly, and then doubled down, that he would never nominate a Muslim person to work in his cabinet. He aligned himself with the racists/bigots, and now he’s feeling the reality. When push comes to shove, the racists show their true colors. He should have known that when he saw Michael Steele dancing for them, and also how they treated the Office of the Presidency, because of their hatred of the man.
Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) – The communications director for Herman Cain’s presidential campaign has resigned, CNN has learned.
Ellen Carmichael told CNN on Saturday her decision is firm but not yet finalized.
“I have resigned but the paperwork’s not final,” Carmichael said.
Carmichael explained her decision is a personal one and that she’s pursuing other professional opportunities. She also said that her assistant, Francis Boustany, is also leaving for professional reasons.
CNN asked Carmichael about the Republican presidential candidate’s reaction to her departure. Carmichael is well known to the political press corps as a reliable and responsible promoter of Cain’s message. She was recently recognized at a CNN event as part of a new generation of newsmakers. And Cain has often publicly praised Carmichael.
“It’s a very amicable departure,” Carmichael said. “He wished me the best of luck. And I will forever be fond of him and appreciative of this opportunity.”
In June, two other staffers left the Cain campaign. CNN asked Carmichael if her and Boustany’s departures are a sign of more trouble for Cain.
“No comment,” she said.

Donna, thanks for posting. That was worth a click to Huff & Puff. Very sweet indeed. My favorite picture is when FLOTUS is puckered up giving POTUS a kiss on the cheek. She is wearing the dress with a big flower at the neckline. The chemistry between them is just staggering.
THIS IS THE KIND OF QUESTION THAT MORE REPUBLICANS NEED TO GET ASKED BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. THIS IS GREAT.
Scott Brown Stumbles When Small Business Owner Confronts Him Over Filibustering Tax Credits For Small Businesses
Last week, Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) attended a breakfast event at the Watertown Belmont Chamber of Commerce. At one point, a small business owner asked Brown why he voted, on three separate occasions, “to filibuster tax credits and loans for small businesses.” Brown couldn’t remember the specific votes and said he would find them and address her question at a later time. “I’m on the small business committee and every vote that I’ve taken has certainly been with taking Massachusetts and other interests at heart,” he weakly replied. “We have to make some difficult choices.”
I think President Obama likes casting himself as the underdog, and having other people call him that. We hate it, but he knows the power of the “underdog” caption. Americans love their underdogs and root for them. He ran that way four years ago….people always underestimate him. He knows where he is, and how to handle these situations. Let George S. fumble around and look silly…..that “underdog” will be back in 2 years for another presidential interview! What will George S ask him then???
I also think that is true. The media keeps wanting to talk about sagging polls that just don’t exist in reality, and a base that is apparently running away from the President despite pictorial evidence to the contrary. And they tell us he’s just not popular, that the military isn’t behind him – but we know that reality doesn’t match their version. And their hope is to make it a negative for the President. Well, they’ve forgotten what happened when they tried to make race a negative for the President – it ended up being his strongest moment in the campaign. They need a history lesson.
carolyn, I will tell you whgat George and the rest of the sorry ass media will ask President Obama, When everything were pointing against you, Mr. President how did you pull this one out?’
At the risk of being pesty I am bringing this over from the last thread.

PRESIDENT OBAMA COMMENTS BEFORE MEETING WITH HIS CABINET
===========================================================
Washington, DC
Monday, October 3, 2011

These are the people who the Occupy Wall Street should be hammering – not President Obama.

Hope, does he have a Twitter account? I need to recommend Lawrence to have him on @LastWord.
Here it is:

“passed” vice “passes”
So appropriate!
Here I am–a chubby grandma–and I’m in love with the guy who talked to the FOX reporter.
theo67 and Alycee–I loved both of your posts. I really believe what goes around comes around. Our President will be remembered as one of the best presidents we have ever had. History will be kind to him.
Beautiful posts both Alycee and theo67. The truth of it touched me deeply.
CALL TO ACTION
Call Harry Reid and Senator Schumer, then call your Senators.
Tell them you support the bill and want to see it brought to the floor of the Senate ASAP as one complete bill

I will call…you make it so easy for us. I will also email, snail mail, and call local office. Thanks WIW!
I love Jay Carney! What a great briefing he gave today–.
Wow, Jesse was awesome. Loved how he told Fox all about themselves and their nonsense of asking Pres Obama for his birth certificate.
The interview is going on now. Step… is asking questing quoting Christie and persisting.
http://abcnews.go.com/
Oh! Forgot to say ‘Hi, Guys! Hope your day has been going well.’
I don’t think that idiot interviewer LISTENS to the answers to the questions he asks! He just seems to be trotting out his prepared questions.
Good insight, Hopefruit.
I was reading some of the comments at ABC news after the interview. One person was really upset because the President said he was the underdog, but the commenter thought if he’s the underdog, “why does he look so confident”. It apparently was really getting under his skin.!!!!
Ha!!
Not too worried please PBO is realy realy great in interviews, he knows when there is a GOT you question
or B,S question, PBO can take on anybody in the MSM and MOP the floor with them. and PBO will not give
them a sound bite that they can play pver, and over, I trust him
I hate polls about whether or not the President deserves to be re-elected – they are misleading and basically mean squat 14 months from an election.
Watch PBO live here right now.
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/newsmakers/watch-live-abc-interview-president-obama-181402305.html
A couple of better questions re the Prez’ family. Not bad.
Hail to the Chief! Hail! He is the Chief!!!
Please live blog I can’t watch now. Thank you.

Quantifying the War on Voting
By Steve Benen
Facebook Twitter Digg Reddit StumbleUpon Delicious

PBO says he reads some blogs. I wonder if he’s been to TOD?
I’m sure. His name is in the title.
Well…when I finish talking to him he will be
Yeaaaah Donna! Tell him all about us
Donna – If you tell him “Jackie from Peoria” said hello, I’ll give you a big hug!
Okie Dokie
{smile}
I remember the interview he realy embarrased george i’am not worried about PBO he is doing fine.
He’s great!
Yes, you’ll never see the “deer-in-the-headlights” look on President Obama’s face!

Hi donna.Any news on the 3rd quarter fund raising numbers ? Did you win the prize ?
Hi amk…the unofficial final results show me the winner (thanks in large part to TOD) for a call from President Obama in both dollars raised and number of donors. OFA Hdqtrs has until the 7th to make it official. The 3rd Qtr numbers will not be reported until the 15th of October.
Jeebus. I am so sorry chips. I kept psoting that question to donna but never actually saw it getting posted. Now suddenly, bam, all of them appear. Please delete the unnecessary ones.
Congrats donna. I can’t wait for both the news.
Hi donna, any news on the 3rd quarter fund raising numbers ?
Hi donna, any news on the 3rd fund raising numbers ? Did you get the prize ?
Hi donna ? Any news 3rd quarter fund raising numbers ?
Donna,
I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on this.

So rude.
That question about the poll was so misleading…it’s not funny.
i’m just so glad I can hear all of the recaps on this interview here, since – although I really want to see PBO – I’m having a hard time listening to that awful George S ask his uninformed, biased questions.
I think you should still listen to the interview, because the President’s answers about his children, Michelle’s advice and him perusing the blogs were all quite sweet. The rest of the usual. And he looked good, too…
He did look good. George looked like a gnome.
Oh proud you made me spraw my green tea out all over my computer. Please give a warning when you are going to be that funny in the future
Oh, Donna, I just despise George. I will never forget his behavior toward Senator Obama in that ABC News debate. He was disgusting then and he’s disgusting now.
theo67 – I will watch the As, and just mute the Qs!
Or, when George speaks, I’ll just go lalalalalalaIcan’thearyou, like the kid that I am!
Good strategy! LOL
That should be he feels defeated, my fingers aren’t working today.
She’s used to the lies, but this is a damn shame.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/onmedia/1011/Newsweek_retracts_Pelosi_quote.html#.TooJHNWtics.twitter
Trouble is, you can’t unring the bell.
And this is what they count on. They should be sued.
Yes, the media will be making a lot more of these “mistakes” from now through Nov 2012…
This was NO mistake. It was deliberate. Apology NOT ACCEPTED. FAIL.
Unforgivable. And so predictable that the right wing pounced on it – even the retraction doesn’t’ clear up the confusion. It still implies that she did use those words in another interview, and yet her office has emphatically denied it. So disgusting.
The american fourth estate are truly fifth columnists.
Seconded x three.
‘HERB” CAIN FEELS THE WRATH OF REPUBLICAN PARTY LEADERS (Limbaugh, Daily Caller, Erick Erickson, and others)
Cain runs into far-right buzzsaw
========================
In the eyes of the GOP base, he’s the one who made a mistake.
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_10/cain_runs_into_farright_buzzsa032582.php
Seems to me the recent Cain talk of AAs being brainwashed into supporting the Democrats ought to give him pause with how he has been treated by “his” party’s treatment of AAs.
I wonder if he’s still wondering why blacks don’t want to join the Republican party…?
Herman Cain communications director resigns

THINGS ARE NOT GOING WELL FOR “HERB”
HERMAN CAIN COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR RESIGNS
==============================================

Thanks donna!! Beautiful photos of our beautiful First Couple. They are an inspiration, never afraid to show their love!!
I absolutely adore them.
Where is the picture of POTUS and FLOTUS when they were in New York at that fundraiser at the Gotham Hall?
“We have to make some difficult choices.”
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/10/03/334377/small-business-owner-scott-brown/
If it was me, i wouldn’t tell ‘em spit. Let them figure it out. They’re making the big bucks as mind readers……sooooo go hump the hostess!
Time for the Rev. Go get ‘em Rev Al.
