YouTube version of Jesse’s interview:
You know how I never link to Daily Kos …. well, it’s worth an exception on this occasion: see more here
Thank you PoliticalJunkessa
this guy is amazing
Chip if you can and have the time it might be a good idea to show Maddow’s segment on the Republican Party vs Romney from last night’s episode
Will look for it Fred, thank you for the tip-off!
you’ll enjoy it
Oh boy, just uploading it, it’s a gem!!!! I almost ended up feeling sorry for Mitt. Well, no, I didn’t
Will post it very soon, thanks a million Fred
I’ll never feel sorry for Romney but you are welcome a billion Chip
We need to take back the national conversation from the Murdoch cartel and the Rush Limbaughs of the world.
Our political system is in need of more folks like Jesse!
The Right Wing GOP Media is a total failure. Only 50% of the people understand they need to get information from another source because ALL the so called media wants to spoon feed the masses on what they should think and hear. Thank God for the Internet that we can educate and inform one another. Unfortunately the right wing miss-information is also on the Internet.
Bachmann Dodges Liberal Arts Students
A Bachmann campaign event abruptly switched from an open appearance to a “private fundraiser” on Tuesday evening after the event space was filled by sign-wielding Grinnell College students.
“John Wayne Quincy Adams—Our Greatest Forefather,” read one of the signs carried by the students. Other signs supported gay marriage or recalled similar misstatements by the candidate.
Though Bachmann was scheduled to speak at 5:30, there was no sign of the candidate until about 6:40. The delay gave the local police time to arrive on scene and cordon off part of the farm with police tape.
When she arrived, Bachmann avoided speaking publicly from the barn, which was decorated with campaign posters and was clearly the intended event arena. Instead, she met privately with Family Leader donors.
“We really weren’t hoping to heckle her or anything,” a female student told The Des Moines Register. “It’s just really disappointing that that’s what she assumed because we were college students.”
The DNC needs to hire Jesse and his first course should be to call in the Dems in Congress and teach them how to speak to the Corp. Owned Media.
Amen – this video is a model for how to clearly articulate your message in the face of “dumb questions”
You are spot on !
I have a favor to ask, could someone repost the list of Republicans who have not signed the Grover Norquist pledge, I would like to make up a contact list for those folks. Along with the “reluctant” Democrats, we need to be calling the “somewhat rational Republicans” who might vote for the jobs bill.
Thanks in advance
I think this is up to date WIW:
6 GOP U.S. House Non- Pledge Signers: NY-24 Richard Hanna GA-07 Rob Woodall PA-19 Todd Russell Platts VA-01 Rob Wittman VA-10 Frank Wolf KS-03 Kevin Yoder

All the names are in this PDF:
Thanks Chips – this is going on the contact page now.
So Linda – are ya thinkin’ of contacting these republicans about the AJA?
direct link found
Love ya, Chips!
Jesse has been writing and supporting the President, and calling out the right wing propaganda machine for a long time now. He deserves AT LEAST as much attention as that loser Joe the Plumber and hopefully he’ll meet with great success.
O/T..Update. Just called Rep Wolf to thank him for speaking up about the Norquist pledge. Then called Boehner’s office and left a long message imploring him to at least bring the AJA to a vote. Iasked him to stop
playing politics with people’s lives. Said a lot more till I got cut off.
Then the most distasteful task of calling my Repub rep AGAIN for th6th time since the Prez put out his bill.
I had gotten one of those long 4 page letters from him last week telling me all the reasons why the AJA
is not good for America. I answered that with facts contradicting his lies.
And since PBO says to never give up I called again today. The young lady said that she sees in her
records that I had called several times before. I politely interjected that she will be hearing from me
until something is done. Again I asked her to pass on the message that people ar hurting out in the real
world and they dont have the luxury of a guarenteed salary and benfits like congressmen do.
Good for you. We ALL need to call and write our Representatives continuously.
Hope44 you are a star. Thank you so much for your persistent effort!
Thank you Donna.
Keep up the pressure. The righties are starting to act like Keystone Kops. Sorry, you young ones might not know who they are.
VIDEO: Herman Cain On Occupy Wall Street: ‘If You Don’t Have A Job And You’re Not Rich, Blame Yourself!’
in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that posted today, GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain said he suspected that they were “orchestrated” to help President Obama. Cain went on to blame the unemployed for their woes, saying, “if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself!”:
CAIN: I don’t have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration. Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself! [...] It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed.
Cain’s conspiracy theory that the protests are a plot to help the White House is pretty far fetched, especially considering that there seems to be no love lost between the protesters and Obama.
But Cain’s claim about the unemployed is especially heartless and uninformed. There are simply not enough jobs to go around, with 4.32 unemployed people for every job opening in the country. So even someone looking hard for a job will have a difficult time finding one. Moreover, Cain fails to understand the astronomical income inequality in the U.S. and the negative effect it has on economic growth.
Blaming unemployment on the unemployed is a common trend among conservative politicians, but it’s a as wrong as it is offensive to the millions of Americans looking for a job.

VIDEO: Trump On Occupy Wall Street Movement: ‘Nobody Knows Why They’re Protesting’
Media-attention mogul and real estate tycoon Donald Trump joined the hosts at Fox & Friends to offer more of his thoughtful perspective on the Occupy Wall Street movement. “I think they’re very well-dressed,” he quipped, marveling one of the protesters “beautiful suits.” “Nobody knows why they’re protesting, but they’re having a good time,” he insisted.
Host Gretchen Carlson wondered whether “we’re all supposed to assume they’re unemployed,” to which Trump replied, “They don’t look unemployed. Some of them really don’t look unemployed. And their parents look like they really probably work on Wall Street.”
This complete dismissal of grassroots protest is surprising coming from a former kingpin of the Tea Party. When flirting with a presidential bid and flouting his racist wedge issue, Trump lavished praise on Tea Party protesters, telling the Today Show that he considers himself one. “I’m very proud of some of the ideas they put forth. The big ideas they want to stop this ridiculous, absolutely killer of spending that’s going on.”
Slapping away any concern about the Tea Party’s radical goals, he said, “I think the Tea party has done an amazing service for this country because people now, including very liberal Democrats, are thinking well maybe we can’t just keep giving everything away. So I think they performed a great service.”
Ergo, to Donald Trump, pushing an economically destructive agenda while dressed in colonial garb is “a great service.” But joining a movement aimed at holding the banking industry that plummeted the economy into recession accountable is laughable.

The arrogance of Trump and Cain is off the charts. They sound like all clueless, pampered, coddled brats right before their fall. Same as during the Depression and the robber barons. Same as the Enron scandal. Same as the Savings and Loan scandal. They think they’re invincible. They think they can just say “let them eat cake” and people will accept it forever. People like this have always been responsible for the decline and ruin of empires — their greed cannibalizes everything it can unless it is stopped. It’s amazing how history repeats itself.
What in the world do unemployed people look like, Donald? Does he know the unemployment statistics? Everybody has been affected. What a dinosaur idiot!
Democrats about to hold presser about AJA:
3.8 Million Women In Medicare Received A Free Mammogram In 2011
In honor of October — breast cancer awareness month — HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius highlighted how the Affordable Care Act has helped women access the care they need to prevent and treat cancer in a recent blog post: “Thanks to the health reform law, the Affordable Care Act, most private health plans and Medicare now cover women’s preventive health care – such as mammograms and screenings for cervical cancer –with no co-pays or other out-of-pocket costs. This means that women can get services they need to detect or prevent breast cancer before it spreads or becomes fatal, without worrying that they’ll have to pay for these services out of their own pockets. This year to date, 3.8 million women in traditional Medicare have gotten a free mammogram.”
Thanks so much for this Fred.
Go Jesse! I would love to see more people like him taking to the streets. Now, we must channel that energy into the voting booths!
A movement starts with just one person, I think Jesse LaGreca has started something! The Winds of Change start with a small breeze , maybe the wind has finally started to blow in the right direction. Propaganda Media has come faced to face with the will of the people.
This guy can articulate the Dem position better than the ones in congress, and probably the whitehouse. Sad. Again, this is why we lose the low-info voter and that is most Americans.
Jesse aka MinistryofTruth has always been a very strong writer at GOS, even if I didn’t always agree with him. Although I generally ignore that place nowadays, I do remember reading a diary of his earlier this year in which he said his life wasn’t going too well personally. Hopefully, this exposure will be a spark to turn things around for him.
I’m sorry but I cannot be excited about a Jesse speaking up. Our lopsided media ownership only ALLOWS the likes of Jesse into the news as an “aberration” . We have to OWN the damn media. We are suffering from gross wingnut lies precisely because there is NO media competition against right wing propaganda.
How about Buffett, IT billionaires and other liberal rich folk pony up money to set up real media challengers to Faux and their faux-lite corporate media minions.
Message CONTROL is everything!!!
I’m sorry but I cannot get excited about a Jesse speaking up against the bloodsuckers impoverishing us. The corporate media cartel will allow one from our side to get through once in a while, then be promptly labeled an aberration.
We NEED to control the media. We need a message amplifier. What are the Buffetts, and IT billionaires doing with their money? They need to realize that their own fortunes are at stake should wingnuts completely take over our government. They will lose in so many unfathomable ways. we need to buy/control a critical mass of media assets. Put our money where our mouths are ASAP!!!
True, true. But how do we go about occupying the media? Or at least infiltrating it? I agree that THAT would be a revolution.
Good Afternoon Chips and TOD Family. I pulled all of the states out last evening and into the morning about:
1. Name of state
2. The number of deficient bridges in that state.
3. How many vehicles cross every day.
4. The Jobless rate in each state.
Then I asked people to call Cantor, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, and their their Senators and Representatives in the House. They are there 8 hrs. ago. I saw know that Afl.cio.org gave it last night and it was here as well. I wanted to call out the Name of state to get the attention of people. Some people will go to the AFLcio site and put in their state, but some of us have family and friends in other states who may not have computers. A friend, family member or neighbor may have one and tweets and will see the states.
This is awful how much traffic is on these bridges every day in these states. Someone sent a tweets and said they were going to put the site on as many blogs as posssible. I am going to think of another phase to help bring attention to the AJA bill.HZ
American citizens like Jesse here, terrify the bejeezus out of the GOP. Can you imagine what would happen to them if half of the citizenry were like Jesse? The GOP would be history., and some of our Democratic congress men and women, would actuallly have to work for us again.
I don’t know…from what I remember of that guy at dkos, he wasn’t exactly a POTUS supporter; he struck me as someone who said whatever garnered attention and kept him on the rec list. I’d love to be wrong, but I’m casting a wary eye at this person as spokesperson for POTUS supporters. He doesn’t speak for me, that’s for sure, but I’m glad that he put in a solid media appearance here.
