It probably has to do with Halloween and upcoming holidays. I will take it regardless. It is really going to eat at the repugs. Snakes is in the grass is what they are. This should kick some dirt in their faces.
Hi Dorothy, So good to see you. I haven’t seen you around very much. I hope all is well with you and your family. Any way, I am happy to see that you haven’t lost a step.
the key was this was a bunch of Hispanic homeowners and the crowd was very diverse. I can’t see Mitt Romney getting a bunch of hugs from that crowd. LOL
aamom, Is your image of Obama the night before the Denver celebrations? A day before PBO arrived for his speech? He looked so tired, but so happy to see Flotus speaking. what a beautiful image that was. Such a tender moment in time.
Pres Obama just got done with his speech in a Vegas neighborhood. He was a little bit late coming out of the home of one of those families whose mortgage is upside down. Wonderful speech except I had to mute the TV after he was done. The local media is not kind to the president at all. They report more about what Romney and Cain have been saying about Obama. Makes me angry. I believe the President is now going to the Bellagio for a benefit lunch and then flies out to Calif at 4pm pst.
Lonnie, It is ashame how some people feel like the President can solve every dam problem wrong with this country. if he could, I’m sure he would, but he can’t. And what was Romney and Cain plan to help the home owners. Did the local media say anything about that? Lonnie you need to get in touch with that media and tell them that you don’t want to hear about what Romney or Cain have to say about President Obama. Tell them you want to hear Romney, Perry, and Cain’s plan to help the people of LV. See what the media have to say then.
I sent an email to FOX5 Las Vegas and also posted on their facebook page and website. CBS 8News also got a scathing letter from me about their one reporter who said at the airport awaiting Pres Obama’s flight to land, “Pres Obama is using this trip to sidestep away from the Jobs Bill.” He’s not sidestepping anything lady! I was fuming when I heard her say that. I stopped watching TV “news” because they are bought and paid for by the top 1%. I watched today only because Pres Obama wasn’t accessible to me (darn it) in person.
I am so thankful to this website and all that Chip does. This is my ritual every morning and evening. Makes my day complete.
The contrast is STARK. The RepUgly candidates are talking about forcing home owners to lose their homes by allowing them to default. In contrast, The RepUgly House is preventing hardworking families and those wanting to go back to work from doing so.
In contrast. President Obama is helping to KEEP people in their homes. The American people are going to be with President Obama. The tide is beginning to turn. America is beginning to show the RepUgly loyalty and solidarity with the President.
Dawgone….missed it! Hope we see a vidoe replay later. Was looking for that extra kick I get from seeing our remarkable President face to face and heart to heart with our fellow Americans.
I got my 2012 bumper sticker and 2012 car magnet! I have other Obama and Biden stickers on my car, along with Bill White for Governor stickers and I have to shuffle stuff around to make sure my 2012 gear is on full display! My family jokingly kids me for my Obamamania. I’m apparently President Obama’s # 1 fan! I have the HOPE poster in my bedroom, along with other Democratic posters and snarky(but truthful) liberal sayings. Anyone who walks into my bedroom immediately knows where I stand politically. I’m liberal and I’m all for PBO. So they know not to say mindless crap about him. Oh and I have the usual humorous posters required for every college student.
1. A poster of Johnny Depp (a must for every college female or any female with a pulse.) Hubba Hubba Hubba. Captain Jack does wonders for me.
2. A picture of Bob Marley rocking out on his guitar and smoking the ganga. Why? Because he’s Bob Marley, he’s freaking cool, and his music is EPIC.
3. Posters about Family Guy characters and various sex positions. Why? …….Because STEWIE rocks! And because sex is VERY important and at least this way one does not need to break out the kama sutra. One needs to just look at the wall for inspiration.
4. Posters about my AWESOME Gorillaz, The Rolling Stones, and Guns ‘N’ Roses. Why? Because it’s just good music.
5. The requisite posters featuring quotes by great minds like Einstein, Camus, Wilde, JFK, Gandhi, Kipling, Alcott, Cervantes, Roosevelt, MLK Jr. etc. Why? Because I’m just that deep.
6. The Murphy’s Law poster. Why? Because anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
UT, you are sooooooooooooo wrong, I can’t help but think you’re right…….. except for the Stewie thing. I think Stewie would agree that a shirtless picture of George Clooney or Johnny Depp would be much, much, much more stimulating
BWAHAHAHA. LL you crack me up. It tickles me pink to find out that adults past the high school and college age appreciate the GENIUS that is Family Guy and The Venture Brothers. Stewie would love a George Clooney look alike with Rupert the Teddy Bear’s head on it; so he could have one of his famous Sexy Parties with shirtless men in chaps or leather pants.
WHY?!??!!!! Hopefruit! WHY!!???!! Do you hate me soooooooo much. I’m in a sexy Depp state of mind and you throw an ugly mofo like Perry into the mix?? Tut tut tut. For shame. Just because you’re stuck with Chris Christie aka Lisa’s baby daddy doesn’t mean you have to spoil my fantasy or fantasieeeeeeees.
Haha. Lisa you know I’m right! Just like Stewie, wouldn’t you be saying Hubba Hubba Hubba to a poster of a shirtless Depp or Clooney? Ssssssssssmoking!
Oh UT, you are so awesome! I feel cheated for having been born so long, long ago. Otherwise, if I were a young man, I would be all over Austin, TX, hoping that I could have a chance to see you, and have a cup of coffee with you, or a beer if you are so inclined, just to be in your presence.
Awwww… thank you for that kind and sweet sentiment Nath. Although I’m a coffee junkie; I would love to knock back a few cold ones (beers) with you sir! Or maybe some tequila shots or margaritas or….or….or…. Your brain is AMAZING. Your knowledge of historical and political facts make your comments so enlightening and I appreciate your input in any discussion.
Thank you for your kind remarks UT! I’ve just been so blessed to come to this site where I can read posts from young people, like you, who are so fearless, but yet pragmatically grounded. I especially love your spunk. It’s absolutely important that we all maintain our zest for life in spite of all the political insanity taking place in this country. So, Keep up your sense of humor, your love for life, and your fearlessness in going after the idiots who are filled with hatred of our President. And, best of luck in your studies. I hope your professors appreciate your incredible talents. I am sure you are a star student.
Democrats Abroad France held an event titled “Voices for Obama” at the Nikki Diana Marquandt Gallery in Paris. One of the speakers was the American author Jake Lamar. This clip is a shortened version of his talk.
I love everything about the speech except the very last question: “Can Barack Obama be more like the President you dreamed of if he’s elected to a second term?” – the reality is that this President has exceeded my dreams, especially when I look at the reality of obstruction and lack of support, plus the uninformed population that he’s had to deal with. The question shouldn’t be whether America is disappointed in Barack Obama. It should be “is Barack Obama disappointed in America”? In the face of crisis – real, life-threatening, global crisis – the people of his country chose to watch as Republicans not only sat by, but actively worked to destroy any chance of meaningful recovery. The people of his country chose to elect those same Republicans to control the purse strings of government and tie the President’s hands so that he couldn’t pass any legislation that would continue the path of recovery – and then those same people repeatedly asked why recovery had stalled, as though it’s just miraculously supposed to happen. The people of his country chose not to give him credit for giving their children a chance at a decent education, and a shot to compete in the future. Those people chose to allow Republicans to blatantly pass laws that deprive them of their right to free and fair elections, to put up insane candidates and then have them polling anywhere in the vicinity of this President, chose to allow Republicans to warmonger and fear monger instead of giving credit to President Obama for ending the mismanaged wars that they started. Those people chose to ignore the good work that this President has done to honor the troops who have fought and died for the past decade, while their families lived on food stamps at home – and some of those people couldn’t even pick up the phone to call Congress to pass legislation to ensure that those veterans would have jobs and benefits when they come home. Those same people chose to form a new movement that seems dedicated to destroy any chance of President Obama succeeding in 2012 – but they will be sorely disappointed.
I don’t think people should waste time pondering whether they are disappointed in President Obama – because that kind of question can only come from someone who doesn’t actually know what this President has achieved and how hard it was to achieve it.People should question how they are being seen around the world, as a country and a people, who can’t appreciate what they have while they’ve got it. The rest of the world is clamouring for a leader with the heart, and work ethic, and integrity as President Obama – while America ponders whether a Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich presidency will make them feel better. That’s pretty embarassing.
When you look at the record of accomplishment from Stanley Ann’s son, and how he is literally empowering the entire world like no leader has ever done before, and as you point out, in the face of historic obstruction, I literally cannot see how one human being can do anything better than President Obama is doing. His success is beyond belief.
Mr. Lamar’s presentation was quite an effective support of President Obama. But I agree with you Theo67—except for that last line which tended to concede some complaint points to the so-called liberal opposition. And all the reasons why I disagree with that portion of the Jake Lamar’s comment have been stated eloquently and cogently by you.
Right on Theo. This should go really viral. Shame on Americans, and I too, don’t think PBO needs to be the type of President the left wants him to be in his second term. If they had any sense at all, they’d know they already have that President.
I appreciated Mr. Lamar’s comments, but I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ your response, Theo! I can never be disappointed in a man who has taught me so, so much, as a politician, a father, a husband and a leader!
I liked the poet’s piece a lot, but I LOVE your response.
You can damn sure believe that no republican would be “disappointed” in their president if that president had accomplished even half of what Barack Obama has accomplished — and looked so suave doing it.
Our4thEstate Bobfr
@TheRevAl @maddow @lawrence I hope you feature these remarks by Jake Lamar youtube.com/watch?v=cJLvtV… Thank you. #OBAMA2012
Our4thEstate Bobfr
All the many reasons I’m not disappointed by President Obama spoken as eloquently as anyone can youtube.com/watch?v=cJLvtV… Thank you Jake Lamar!
Donna – thanks. This is perfect. So many of my friends are of the “disappointed” variety and while they worked in OFA and donated last year. They have donated this year and will vote for PBO but they are unenthusiastic in their support. They are disappointed. Some can articulate why, – it’s all the talking points that we’ve talked about here that make us all go “huh?” Some are just of a general feeling and cannot say why exactly. I’ve turned them onto WIW’s site because I think Linda’s site is so uplifting and I think this is too. I agree with Theo about the very last line, but overall? I think it could help my friends.
Thank you so much Donna for sharing this! Jake Lamar was incredible! This is a video that should be widely shared. I loved both his tone and his thinking process. Yes, indeed, President Obama is a “REALIST.” He has also, by the way, enacted more progressive legislations than any other modern President since LBJ. And LBJ was able to do that because of the massive Civil Rights movement that gave him cover rather constantly demonizing him. How can I get hold of his entire talk? I would like to share this with people in my community.
Could Michelle Bachmann be any more clueless, any more daffy? She said that hospitals and charities “usually have a little left over” and will be able to pick up the cost of healthcare for those without health insurance. Yeah, no problemo. They’ll have a little left over for 50 million uninsured. She wrapped it up with, “When Obamacare is gone, this is what we’ll have to do.” Ay yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/10/24/bachmann-calls-on-hospitals-to-give-away-free-health-care/
I don’t like Paul Krugman at all, his endless criticisms of President Obama are tiring but are always good news for ”progressives”, anything to bash the President.
But this is very interresting:
October 24, 2011, 4:47 pm
Hope For HARP
Most quick reactions to the new Obama housing proposal have been fairly dismissive, arguing that it would provide only a small boost. I don’t have an opinion yet, because I haven’t had time to work through the details — and on this kind of thing, the devil is very much in the details. (Does that make it another 666 plan?)
But lest it be lost in the shuffle, let me send interested readers, and especially macroeconomists, to Joe Gagnon, someone I take very seriously. And Gagnon thinks that this could be huge, especially if combined with a Fed program of buying mortgage-backed securities. He’s talking maybe 4 million jobs!
This is not an endorsement of his analysis, just saying that this really needs looking at.
If this analysis is correct, and if it means 4m jobs, it also means that all those jobs will be due solely to the efforts of the Administration, bypassing the GOP. That’s a BFD. That could mean the difference between a narrow win and a blowout, along with retaking the House and maintaining the Senate majority.
How could the mortgage plan create 4 million jobs? And I saw on twitter that Krugman liked it and all he actually said was he hasn’t looked at it yet? oy!
Twice the impact of the American Jobs Act? *That* would be impressive.*
*Okay, _moderately_ impressive on the Obama Scale of Presidential Achievement. Not _quite_ at the “How Does Even Obama Pull That Off” level of impressive, but heading in that general direction… =)
Hey Ralph, I forgot to tell you earlier that I like the way you do emphasis given the restraints of this medium. I can see myself copying you before too long. Remember what is said about imitation. I also like the informative and *balanced* viewpoints you’ve shared today.
LAS VEGAS — President Obama on Monday assailed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for referring to the piece of the president’s jobs plan that would fund salaries for teachers and first responders as a “bailout.”
“Mitch McConnell said that … saving the jobs of teachers, cops and firefighters is, I quote, ‘a bailout.’ A bailout,” Obama said at a midday fundraiser at the Bellagio.
“These aren’t bad actors who somehow screwed up the economy, they didn’t act irresponsibly,” he told the fundraiser crowd, which donated between $1,000 and $35,800 per head for entry. “These are the men and women who teach our children, patrol our streets, run into burning buildings and save people. They deserve our support.”
“This is the fight that we’re going to have right now, and I suspect this is the fight we’re going to have over the next year,” Obama said. “The Republicans in Congress and the Republican candidates for president have made that very clear.”
Republicans, he said, have “two basic economic principles”: cutting taxes for “the very wealthiest, the biggest corporations” and eliminating “just about every regulation that’s out there; they want to get rid of it.”
Pool-
That is pretty astonishing. A bailout. Yeah, teachers and police officers and firefighters acted irresponsibly and caused their own unfortunate situation, being unemployed. Republicans, have you no sense of decency, sirs?
I guess it’s just fine to bailout wall street and the big banks. But that bastard McConnell think helping the teachers, firefighters, and policemen is WRONG. But the millionaires, the billionaires, the very ones who cause this financial crisis helping them is just fine.
And you know what, Aniiebella, Mitch McConnell voted to bailout Wall street. Yes, he voted spend 800 billions of tax payers’ money to bailout AIG, Bank of America, Citibank, Chase, etc. Yet, the media never confront him with this. The U.S. media are truly suffering from AMNESIA!
I’ve been tweeting stories about McConnell to OFA_KY and KY Democrats asking them to start planning for 2014. Can you believe this guy is starting fundraising for 2014? That man needs retiring and he needs someone SENSIBLE to take his place.
Chips. Los Angeles is spelt wrong in the thread description; or are you using the teaparty method of spelling? Have you been infected with teabaggeritis? Help!!!!
Love these photos. I love that PBO spends the time to listen and touch the lives of ordinary people. I really don’t understand anybody who says he’s aloof. He’s incredibly warm and that smile could light a whole city. It’s something that was very apparent the first time I saw him way back in 2007. He cares deeply about people.
Horrible and tragic news on NBC tonight about the floating mass of debris from Japan’s tsunami heading toward our west coast. Ships report it is twice the size of Texas, containing cars and boats and tvs and refridgerators and parts of buildings, everything known to man. It is an environmental disaster, will affect sea life and beach fronts and ecosystems etc. Will affect island groups and west coast and Hawaii. Very sad.
Where’s Superman when you need him? We need him to fly over that mass of flotsam and drop a big fishing net over it and carry it AWAYYYYYYY! before it reaches my beautiful California Coast!!!!!
DNC Chair DWS was in my neck of the woods this weekend, firing up the troops in advance of the Nov 8th local elections and motivating volunteers for Obama/Biden 2012. Her rally in Chester was significant as most folks tend to bypass Chester as it is a rather economically depressed city. The city has majority Dem voter registration, however, they’ve only elected Dem mayors four times in the last 100 years. The current mayor is a repub, running for reelection. PBO selected Chester for the “Strong Cities, Strong Communities” pilot programm, earlier this year, so you know the current republican mayor is posting signs all over the city showing him next to PBO… Here is vid of DWS’s remarks; girlfriend is good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPMV9iczGaE&feature=channel_video_title
Ok, I’m bad. The President should not be bending over and giving old gals like me such a spectacular view. Third photo from the bottom. Don’t know how to make the devil smiley so I’ll just use the regular one.
“oops” between the colons makes the blush smilie.
“cool” makes the smilie with shades on
“lol” makes the laughing smilie
mad, razz, shock, wink. grin all make different smilies.
I understand by our local news reports, that he’s here in Los Angeles. Our local news reporters love to dwell and moan on how his arrivals & departures just TIE UP OUR TRAFFIC.
After arriving to LAX, Obama took a helicopter to Westwood, for a private dinner at the home of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, which will be hosted by actress Eva Longoria.
The gathering of 100 invited guests will include Latino community leaders, as well as other stars, as Obama tries to shore up a Latino voting base.
The other fundraising event was to take place at the home of movie producer James Lassiter in Hancock Park. Kawanna and Jay Brown, Rebecca and Troy Carter, Mai and James Lassiter, and Jada Pinkett and Will Smith are the co-hosts for this event. Tickets are $35,800 per person.
“Tuesday morning, he goes over to NBC in Burbank to do the Jay Leno show, and then he flies out of LAX at 11:45,” Rosendahl said on KNX. “That will be the trick, and that exact route has not been shared with me.”
Well, we Angelinos have an existential relationship with traffic. To get out of my corner of the world I take an overpass over the 405 around LAX, and every weekend that me and the girlfriend unit drive over it I, without fail, remark that “When I was growing up in the 80s there’d never be any traffic on the weekend, and now look at it *grumble*snarl*glorp*”.
Does anyone know Harold Ford Twitter account? I just found out that he is a BAnk of America Executive who goes on Morning Joes and attacks PBO for being too tough on wallstreet. I need to blast the hell out of him.
It’s at @HFord2. He’s a jackASS, a shyster, a fraud. He’s sucks the teat of wallstreet and then goes on Morning Joe to pretend that he’s one of the middleclass people and PBO’s wall street regulations are “hurting” small businesses and middleclass people. He’s the worst kind of Blue Dog Dem the Democratic party doesn’t need. He SUCKED while he was in congress and he SUCKS even more now. Always bashing PBO on Morning Joe and Meet the Press. Effing DOUCHEBAG.
See those kind of People bother’s me, real bad. He like Cain, don’t they realize what people call them? Uncle Toms, from Uncle Tom’s Ville. Wowwwwwwww that hurts me really bad
Bad karma is coming back around to bite Rubio and Jindal in the butt.
I heard on MSNBC either Cantor or McConnell are twittering criticizing the President today in LA saying “Make PBO a One term President” . Instead of putting forth a Jobs plan this is their focus???
Now To All the mothers who have had to do it on your own listen to this.
1.I know how hard it always is and times are so tough and you have many dreams.Well just take a look at the product of one mother who had the world stacked against in more ways than you can count. She came from a mid western family and traveled out of the norm in more ways than one.But she was a fighter for her children in the only she knew how with love and education. We need not get into all the trials and tribulations that she went through. All we have to do is watch the end product .He has a caring Heart to beat all and He looks out for the down out and every day.The President shows us all the love and caring for every segment of our society from the lowest to the highest. He is a protector to the hilt.If you don’t believe ask the list of the most wanted and see how many are crossed off. Then see how He uses all the tools at his hand to get things done for the betterment of our Country and through out the world we live in.So Mothers as put your loving hands to take care your little ones and the big ones GOD has blessed you with Remember You are the most Powerful person on earth because you bring to life the future leaders of this world. That used to be just a saying that was said just to be said .But I am here to tell you all of you hold the world in your hands and President Obama evidence of a Mother and Grand Mother who loved and care through it all. So don’t give up just mold on loving Mothers you just don’t know that power you placing in the world of tomorrow. YES YOU CAN #PRESSON
Awwww such sweet sentiments Wesley. I’m not a mom (I’m in college) but bless your heart for your kind words to and about TOD mothers and mothers all around the world. You are one of a kind. So I’ll say to you and all the TOD fathers and fathers around the world; #PressOn because you all are GIANTS amongst men. Stay happy my friend.
Wesley, thank you for that. I have 2 small children: a 7 1/2 year old son (that 1/2 is VERY important ) and a 5 year old daughter. I worry every day about the adults that they will become. I do my best but I know that there is quite a bit that is out of my hands. I remind my children every day about the amazing President we have and use him as an example whenever I can. And I remind them how much they are loved and valued. I hope I do a good job .
A very powerful and loving message Wesleya17, I always hear your own very generous heart in the thoughts you share with us here. So glad you are part of this wonderful community.
Will be thinking of you and the Mrs. as you stroll the beach at sunset! Safe and lovely travels to you both.
Ahh, *Wesleya*, you are so kind, that’s like sweet music to Single Parents ears. I too was a Single parent, separated from my Husband, but I am proud to tell you, that my oldest Son Is a Professor at the University of New Hampshire. Look, to God be the Glory, I couldn’t have done It by myself. I give God all the Glory
Oh, Wesleya17, you have me crying now, but it is a very beautiful cry. Those are powerful words with a message to move many for the better in this world. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.HZ
Looking forward to seeing our President rally the troops in Vegas.
CNN also has a livestream open if you have any trouble with the other feed:
http://live.cnn.com/
Thanks Chips.
It looks like he started already! Did it start at 5PM when it was supposed to start at 5:30?
I think he has 3 events today in NV, so this is the second. The next one is supposed to be at 5:30, so he’ll be late for that one.
Okay makes sense. Thanks!
Oh no, I missed it…I thought it started a 5:30 ……
I missed everything but the very end. Frustrating.
Apparently we didn’t miss it. See meta’s comment above. I thought I had missed it too
Not sure if we’ll see the next one, though, because I think it’s a private fundraiser. Than he’s off to LA.
I missed most of it too. Was earlier than the WH said.
Did you guys hear those girls screaming for him? Love it.
Yes there were lots of excited screams “Obama!”
I only watched the end. I missed most of it. Dang.
Just uploading the video M40, should be posted in 10/15 minutes – although I might find a YouTube version before then.
Thank you Chips, I will wait patiently.
Hey have you seen this from Linda’s site http://www.whatisworking.com/2011/10/us-unemployment-down-sharply-in-early.html
8.3% in mid-October WoW!! I guess we will have to broadcast it because the media has been silent. To bad repug creeps! Read it and weep!
It probably has to do with Halloween and upcoming holidays. I will take it regardless. It is really going to eat at the repugs. Snakes is in the grass is what they are. This should kick some dirt in their faces.
If the Gallup numbers jibe at all with the govt report next month I may have to twirl in giddiness.
shall we dance?
Hi Dorothy, So good to see you. I haven’t seen you around very much. I hope all is well with you and your family. Any way, I am happy to see that you haven’t lost a step.
Nathan, you are one of my very favorite people. Smart, kind, and realistic. It is so good to hear your voice. I miss you. dr
Wow, Dorothy, you really know how to make a person feel good. I too missed you, but I am glad to know you are well. Warm regards!
Okay so the event we just saw must have been the 5:10PM (EST) homeowner’s event at the private residence.
the key was this was a bunch of Hispanic homeowners and the crowd was very diverse. I can’t see Mitt Romney getting a bunch of hugs from that crowd. LOL
Las Vegas is 45% hispanic so of course most would be home owners. Especially in the area the president was at.

Stewie would love a George Clooney look alike with Rupert the Teddy Bear’s head on it; so he could have one of his famous Sexy Parties with shirtless men in chaps or leather pants.
You forgot your Rick Perry poster! What’s wrong with you ut?!?!!!
WHY?!??!!!! Hopefruit!
I’m just keeping Christie company while Lisa is busy at school. He misses her so…he wants her right by his side NOW. No other will do.
Haha. Lisa you know I’m right! Just like Stewie, wouldn’t you be saying Hubba Hubba Hubba to a poster of a shirtless Depp or Clooney? Ssssssssssmoking!
hahahahha. speaking of Family Guy, it’s on now on TBS. It’s the one where Meg goes to prison and comes out a hardened criminal. HI-larious!!!!!!!!
Well, you *GO* Girlllllllllll
TOD Fam…check out this video.
Democrats Abroad France held an event titled “Voices for Obama” at the Nikki Diana Marquandt Gallery in Paris. One of the speakers was the American author Jake Lamar. This clip is a shortened version of his talk.
Thank you sir, I’m not disappointed in President Obama either.
YES! Tell it!
When you look at the record of accomplishment from Stanley Ann’s son, and how he is literally empowering the entire world like no leader has ever done before, and as you point out, in the face of historic obstruction, I literally cannot see how one human being can do anything better than President Obama is doing. His success is beyond belief.
Couldn’t have said it better Theo.
This is beautifully full of truth! Thanks Theo This is such a great summary of the madness we are living.
So agree with every word, theo.
Oh, thank you so much for your comments, Theo. So beautifully stated and on point. Thanks again.HZ
Agreed!
I appreciated Mr. Lamar’s comments, but I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ your response, Theo! I can never be disappointed in a man who has taught me so, so much, as a politician, a father, a husband and a leader!
*standing ovation*
I liked the poet’s piece a lot, but I LOVE your response.
You can damn sure believe that no republican would be “disappointed” in their president if that president had accomplished even half of what Barack Obama has accomplished — and looked so suave doing it.
Donna, that was a great video. I plan to pass it on!
Thank you Donna!

Thank you Donna–great video!
Thank you *Donna*, this Is truly a Gem, a keeper. Thanks for the sharing, Great Job
I think it could help my friends.
so thanks
Thank you so much Donna for sharing this! Jake Lamar was incredible! This is a video that should be widely shared. I loved both his tone and his thinking process. Yes, indeed, President Obama is a “REALIST.” He has also, by the way, enacted more progressive legislations than any other modern President since LBJ. And LBJ was able to do that because of the massive Civil Rights movement that gave him cover rather constantly demonizing him. How can I get hold of his entire talk? I would like to share this with people in my community.
Thank you again, Donna. This is a great share. Thanks so much for all that you do here.HZ
Another story about the mortgage plan

tweeted it to Boehner. Maybe he’ll learn something
The Picture are very touching. what a man! What a mighty man! I love my President more everyday.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *dotster*, I just heard that. Is she absolutely NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS? Gollyyyyyyyyyy, These Rethugs are In EVIL Land
That’s a BFD. Now that’s what I’m talking about, a BFD, Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:-)
Red meat-
LAS VEGAS — President Obama on Monday assailed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for referring to the piece of the president’s jobs plan that would fund salaries for teachers and first responders as a “bailout.”
I like the language the President is using – he is hitting the republicans on their noggins!!
I’ve been tweeting stories about McConnell to OFA_KY and KY Democrats asking them to start planning for 2014. Can you believe this guy is starting fundraising for 2014? That man needs retiring and he needs someone SENSIBLE to take his place.
Another cute baby alert! Sweet and adorable.

Full service President Barack Obama Blog!!!!
Very sad.
OMG! Twice the size of Texas?!
If it’s really that big, it should show up on satellite data. Scary.
It should get to WA coastline by March. This is a nightmare. I so didn’t need to know this.
Yeah, we’re kind of in for a world of hurt. From the Daily Mirror: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1374520/Japan-earthquake-tsunami-debris-floating-US-West-Coast.html
Where’s Superman when you need him? We need him to fly over that mass of flotsam and drop a big fishing net over it and carry it AWAYYYYYYY! before it reaches my beautiful California Coast!!!!!
Ummmmmmm, so, so sorry to hear that
Holy Mackeral Chips look at all this stuff – gotta go back and catch up.
I stand corrected – Dems have run Chester only four YEARS of the last 100.
I did miss this….no transportation. I hope to be on board the next round. I’m only 20 minutes from Chester.
Ok, I’m bad. The President should not be bending over and giving old gals like me such a spectacular view. Third photo from the bottom. Don’t know how to make the devil smiley so I’ll just use the regular one.

Far out! Now I’m coolio!
Let’s see –
Thanks Chipsticks for the video’s.
I understand by our local news reports, that he’s here in Los Angeles. Our local news reporters love to dwell and moan on how his arrivals & departures just TIE UP OUR TRAFFIC.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
LOL!!!!
I too sometimes find myself asking “where are all of these people going?” as I try to navigate around them!
Rush hour traffic in LA. LOLz.
Thank you UT. Off I go yo do the lawd’s work.
Is Harold Ford still relevant? I had forgotten all about him!
utaustinliberal
Worst, President Obama campaigned for Harold Ford .
Did any one see this about Rubio & Jindal?
Marco Rubio had immigrants for sale and got a “Boat Load Of Cash”; $50,000 in fact.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KvyAzHtsZac
Birthers say Marco Rubio is not eligible to be president.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-birthers-eat-their-own/2011/10/21/gIQA6Xc43L_story.html
Bad karma is coming back around to bite Rubio and Jindal in the butt.
I heard on MSNBC either Cantor or McConnell are twittering criticizing the President today in LA saying “Make PBO a One term President” . Instead of putting forth a Jobs plan this is their focus???
I don’t know how to twitter.
Ford is a trader, I never really got into him for some reason. He’s a trader that’s why.
Thanks wesleya. Very sweet sentiments.
Wesley, thank you for that. I have 2 small children: a 7 1/2 year old son (that 1/2 is VERY important
) and a 5 year old daughter. I worry every day about the adults that they will become. I do my best but I know that there is quite a bit that is out of my hands. I remind my children every day about the amazing President we have and use him as an example whenever I can. And I remind them how much they are loved and valued. I hope I do a good job
.
From a Mother to a Father….thank you Wesleya.
A very powerful and loving message Wesleya17, I always hear your own very generous heart in the thoughts you share with us here. So glad you are part of this wonderful community.
Will be thinking of you and the Mrs. as you stroll the beach at sunset! Safe and lovely travels to you both.
