Andrew Sullivan’s Newsweek article and his appearance on Hardball are an indictment of the GOP and the msm media. Just listen to what Mitt Romney said at the beginning of the video. Then listen to what Andrew Sullivan said. Nothing that Romney said is true. It just makes Mitt Romney sound completely out of touch with reality and dishonest. And it shines a light on the MSM who have abdicated their responsibility TO TELL THE TRUTH AND LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THEY MAY. Andrew’s article should be the norm not the exception.

Monsanto seems to me to be one of PBO’s blind spots. He could not have won the Iowa caucuses in 2008 w/o Tom Vilsack. Tom Vilsack is all about Monsanto. He is the one person on the Cabinet that I dislike intensely. That’s one of those things that is just pure politics. Hate to say it, a4alice, but there’s no way to speak well about this. From my perspective, Romney was cringe-inducing, shudder-worthy, and plastic beyond measure. I suspect he’s going to try and rig this year’s tax returns to hide his far lower rate of taxation and far, far, far higher income than 99.999 percent of the population. It was a weak answer.

I second this Chips. This blog is for PRO Obama and PRO Democratic news. I recall last summer when the negativity got so bad, I felt this blog had become a mirror image of HuffyFluffy. And saintroscoe’s continued concern trolling over Jon Huntsman as being “the most dangerous” has struck my last nerve. I told saintroscoe that Huntsman was a snake not to be concerned over, and I was vindicated when Huntsman dropped out and endorsed Willard. We don’t need the concern trolling here, and this post from saintroscoe saying it was “embarrasing” for Warren for raising $100,000 reeks of emoprog/concern trolling and I have had enough of it.
I have no clue whether saintroscoe will be back, that’s up to him/her.

OFA group report from the arctic west (could someone please turn up the heat?) We participated in local MLK activities today, collected a nice handful of “I’m In” cards and tried to lend a hand during a service activity, we were turned away because so MANY people showed up they didn’t need any more volunteers. Tonight we had a phone bank, which resulted in just under ninety positive conversations with voters. We played and replayed the Lift Every Voice and Sing video for inspiration, it inspired and caused quite a few teary eyes. Happy MLK day everyone.

Two years after the auto industry rescue, American car companies gained market share for the first time in two decades, and analysts expect the third consecutive year of gains in the industry. With economic uncertainty plaguing Europe and parts of Asia, meanwhile, the U.S. has become a safe haven for foreign car companies as well — German and Japanese companies are both planning to hire more American workers.

On MLK Day, Santorum Criticizes Romney For Undermining Voting Rights

A Romney-affiliated Super PAC is currently airing an attack ad in South Carolina which falsely suggests that Rick Santorum supports allowing felons in prison to vote. Tonight, Santorum confronted Romney about the ad, stating that his record and his view that felons who have served their time and completed their probation and parole should have their right to vote restored. Santorum then pressed Romney whether he also believes people who have served their time should be allowed to vote, explaining the importance of the issue:
Romney tried to dodge the issue, finally stating, “I don’t think people who have committed violent crimes should be allowed to vote again.” Santorum pushed back, correctly noting that while Romney was governor of Massachusetts, the state employed a policy of allowing violent felons to vote not only after they completed their sentence but also while they were on probation.

Again—-Colbert—genius. His new ad, which ran during the debate tonight, asks his supporters to vote for Herman Cain. See, Colbert can’t get on the ballot because of a technicality—-he’s 2 1/2 months late for filing
—–and S.C. doesn’t allow write-ins. BUT Cain’s name is on the ballot, and any and all can vote in the Repub primary—-Dems, independents, college students—–and so Colbert is asking those who are interested in his candidacy——-and all the truths he’s bringing to light——to vote for Cain/Colbert.

Is there ever a point to Bill O’s blatherings? LOL…No, earlier I posted a comment a black reporter on FOX made. She said that back in her hood…they would have characterized the debate as “being on like Donkey Kong”. Let’s put aside the fact that no one has used that kind of language in 2 decades…but the only hood this lady ever saw was Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood.
