Actually, that’s a story from a couple of weeks ago. Galaxy was thinking about Lampard when they didn’t know what Becks would decide. Since Becks re-signed, and they have Robbie Keane and Donovan as their other two designated players, they can’t bring Lampard over, as he would demand rather high wages. Super Frankie will be True Blue till he dies! (At least if Villas-Boas plays him more.)

well, first: How to Retweet using Retweet button. Think of that as an “automatic” tweet.
OTOH, a “manual” tweet (or, the original way RTs were done before the Retweet button):
in tweet box, type: RT @username & the original tweet (you may have to remove some text to make it fit in 140 characters.
usually, folks will add text before the RT or after the tweet. if it’s after the tweet use a “/” or “|” and put your comment after that.
You may find TweetDeck helpful, for many reasons, including the RT function in TweetDeck gives you the option, automatically, to either RT or to Edit and then RT. The Edit then RT is convenient because it copies the original message for you sets a “RT” header and then you can edit it any way you like.

I agree with you in that if getting involved instead happens it could be a good outcome of Citizens United. I do know I have hated the decision from the moment it was made though.
I have wondered the same thing. All the groups that send me literature whether women’s issues, seniors issues, minority issues, environmental issues, peace issues are all referring to the influx of obscene amounts of money from corporate interests. The Democratic party, the satirists Colbert and Stewart, are making this as visible as possible. All the online blogs and news centers are full of articles about the monied interests and the effect on our elections of Citizen’s United. I know of specific organizations now that are working full tilt to reverse this terrible situation as their only reason for being and know of people in our locality that have taken up the cause as their number one effort.
I think this is true as well, Obama Grandmama. We prerecord everything we watch and never stop on a commercial–never. On one-time events like the Oscars, we make it a point to leave the room during commercials. Also too many negative commercials can backfire. People do get tired of being hit over the head. The one thing Citizen United did not allow the “moneyed” guys to do was have on the ground troops supporting a candidate. The are not allowed and cannot compete with OFA.

Prominent conservative voices continue to say he is the candidate best suited to beat POTUS, but Willard continues to dodge the issue with his taxes to where even Chris Christie says to release them. All I can say is that this is one of the strangest primary seasons I’ve witnessed… 2008 McCain was much more stable during the primaries, given how the previous summer his campaign was broke and virtually finished.
Newt is not to be dismissed lightly. He would have the ability to be outrageous in a debate with PBO, turn some stupid phrase and grab the next media cycle. That’s what he’s good at. He won’t get elected but his tactics would require the campaign to adjust significantly

So, last night, we learned, or relearned, that Newt Gingrich is seriously one of the most disgusting, cheating, hurtful, wife-hopping people in the world. We also learned something about President Obama that puts him on the other end of the disgusting/adorable spectrum. And that is that he can sing! Which he did, at a fundraiser at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. Perhaps Newt’s unfaithfulness (and the fact that Al Green was at the fundraiser) was what made Obama sing a few (too few) bars from Green’s classic, “Let’s Stay Together” and, specifically, the words “I’m so in love with you.” I pity the wives of Gingrich, but I envy Michelle Obama. See the video and look out for the president’s Kermit the Frog moves. It should convince the “there’s no difference between a Republican and a Democrat” crowd that, when it comes to Gingrich and Obama, there’s a huge difference, at least on a personal level. And, of course, as we all know, the personal is political.

For some weird reason i was up at 3AM CT this morning and I watched this on tv. – C-SPAN really is quite wonderful at that hour – Plouffe was wonderful. He highlighted various accomplishments of the Obama administration and how they directly affected each mayor and helped their city gain jobs, provide benefits etc.
Now that, maybe, maybe, JUST maybe, the fuss has settled down over my President singing to me, (Yes, he was singing to ME!!!) I hope that folks will take the time to listen to the speech that Pres. Obama made at the Apollo Theater.
I just watched it again. It was factual, detailed, and funny. But most of all, it was heartfelt, even more so because it’s obvious that he was tired and had a long day. But yet, there he was PRESSING ON!!!

The reality of the matter is that people, not just in this country but around the world, find our President to be fascinating, intelligent, endearing, magnanimous ………..
The Republican field and their debate performances and their base and their vileness are so depressing and dispicable to the vast majority of Americans and the world, that President Obama’s singing even for a few seconds was therapeutic in some way. It was a ” calgon take me away” moment for us all. I was feeling better and relieved when I heard him sing and see how relaxed he was and confident in himself.

I think we are going to see an unprecedented amount of these kind of shenanigans in the presidential election. Local Dems have to be on the ball, prepared. I keep thinking of all the dirty tricks played in Oh in ’04—–including liberal college students having to stand in line to vote on one machine into the wee hours—–while some christian college down the road had plenty of voting machines. Plus a multitude of other disasters in Cleveland and everywhere there were Dem majorities.

Call OFA about this. There are probably Election Protection lawyers already designated in the state. Call everyone you know–your mayor, city council people, the state election office AND the newspaper. Tell them this kind of sloppy treatment of voters is unacceptable and you’re going to make sure it gets a lot of attention. If we make a big stink about these practices in the primary, they are less likely to pull them in the general. Really don’t let this slide by. OFA needs to be aware of this. There need to be consequences to these shenanigans and we’re in a position to precipitate those consequences. Oh, and be sure to sign up to be a poll watcher in November and get lots of fellow Obama supporters to take shifts with you. If you see stuff like this happening while you are poll watching in November, call the designated lawyer and make a big noise out of it. Here’s another tactic. Before the November election call the office in your city that supervises elections and tell them ahead of time that you hope you won’t be seeing a repeat of the fiasco during the primary and you have lined up help if it happens again. Local officials will try to get away with tricks if they think they are operating under the radar and voters won’t protest. Show them you know what they’re up and WILL protest.
Everybody–before you go to vote, especially in the general, make sure your have a list of who to call if you see something fraudulent or suspect going on at your polling place. Every county will be provided with legal watchdogs and their job is to take it quickly to the judges on call during elections. Take a cell phone and call immediately. Don’t just “accept” a situation that will jeopardize your vote and that of fellow Democrats.
