Jill Biden on her first date with Joe: “I actually had another date that night”

Jill Biden’s first date with the future vice president almost never happened. In a revealing interview with Piers Morgan airing tonight 9pm ET/PT, the Second Lady admits she had other plans that evening but cancelled, opting instead to accept an invite from Joe. “Just because I thought he would be interesting to go out with, just once,” says Dr. Biden. “But I went out with him and I was really charmed by him.”

The couple spent their first evening together at the movies in Philadelphia, and after the date, Jill went straight to the phone:

“I remember going upstairs and calling my mother at 1:00 in the morning and I said, ‘Mom, I finally met a gentleman.'” Tune in tonight at 9pm ET/PT as the Second Lady welcomes Piers Morgan to the Warrior Hope & Care Center, and reveals her greatest passion, and what it was like the night of the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound.

We’re going to commit suicide.”

In a passionate sit-down with Piers Morgan airing tonight 9pm ET/PT, Penn also discussed Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s pro-life position on abortion: “Do I respect somebody who would sit beside me and tell me he wouldn’t respect my daughter’s choice? No, I don’t think I would respect him.”

You all are better humans than I, watching yet one more freak show – but I love that they’re nonstop.

    The Iron Lady –

Streep is insanely wonderful. Her detail work is extraordinary. It’s really something to behold.

The film is quite remarkable in weaving the horrors of tragedy of Alzheimers into the way the film not only tells the story, but the way it’s shot. It’s quite remarkable. If you have first-hand experience with a loved one’s battle with this hideous disease, you will be moved. Be prepared.

The history is sometimes very hard to watch.

I think neither one did well. Mitt managed to regurgitate verbatim whatever he crammed from his debate coach lesson without stammering too much. Newt coasted along with his usual LIES that didn’t get challenged.

The bar is set way too low for these GOP candidates. Either one will have their asses handed to them by PBO.

I have no respect for Andrea Mitchell at all. I don’t listen to that witch or Chuckie Todd either.

It’s like you have to choose the least worst as the winner. In that case I really liked Ron Paul’s zinger to Newt and Mitt when he said their Cuba plan was to take us back to the Cold War time period. I know, I know Ron Paul is insane and I do not support him. I just liked that he brought out this truth.

David Gregory, Willard on the offense, Newton Leroy didn’t take the bait; Willard will be on the defensive again. I didn’t understand that sentence at all.

    • January 23, 2012 at 11:33 pm

Willard tried to make Leroy lose control by going on offense, but Leroy didn’t take the bait (lose control) so now, Willard has used up his ammunition by showing his hand. By the time of the TeaNN debate, Leroy will have more polished responses to Willard’s attacks and will go after Willard no holds barred. You know how vindictive Leroy can be. Willard was stupid. He should have paced himself.

Thank you for all your commentary on the debate. I haven’t watched any of the republican debates, because I would be screaming at the tv. I give you lots of credit for watching this, and thank you for giving the links to the great tweet responses.
