jacobslily, I like that picture also. I also like the one were Gayle King ask FLOTUS what was she doing, and she said that was just her being silly, FLOTUS had POTUS just laughing. Gayle said POTUS seem to like her silliness. I like that picture also, and that picture where POTUS was whispering in FLOTUS’s ear and she was laughing.

For the past few weeks he’s defintely been on an anti-Romney bent. I get the sense that Chris Matthews doesn’t like Romney and now that Romney is playing very dirty and nasty politics while pretending to be holier than thou and above the fray, Chris dislikes him even more and never fails to call his dishonesty out.

I HATED Steve Schmidt last time around when he was running John McCain’s campaign. He was mean and unreasonable as well as lying about Barack Obama at that time. I think those Repubs on MSNBC tone down their rhetoric when it involves their paychecks and working for the other side. I have noticed that about Michael Steele too.

Oh please let’s not fall for Steve Schmidt and his new shtick…

He is exactly the same hateful right wing asshole he’s always been…

Pointing out the asshole jerk Romney’s weaknesses is not some huge ‘revelation’ or display of political ‘honesty’ by a guy who ran against Romney in 2008 but will immediately fall in line if he is brought/bought into the campaign as a paid adviser…

    The most negative primary ever

“The Florida primary isn’t just negative — it’s reportedly the most negative primary in history.

According to the Campaign Media Analysis Group, which tracks ad buying, a full 92 percent of the ads aired in Florida over the past week were negative.

Newt Gingrich went 95 percent negative; Mitt Romney went 99 percent negative. The pro-Romney super PAC Restore Our Future went completely negative, while the pro-Gingrich super PAC Winning Our Future was only 53 percent negative.”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/post/florida-republican-primary-liveblog/2012/01/31/gIQArDysfQ_blog.html#Voters

Newt lies about why he was so negative:

“Romney defended his campaign’s negative tone earlier in the day, claiming he had to fight back after being “vastly outspent with negative ads” in South Carolina. That’s not really true — he and his supporters outspent Gingrich in the Palmetto State.”

Well done Alice. I’m not on Twitter, so I’m emailing them (and everyone who usually sponsors me for the Race). There are quite a few disappointed posters on the Komen Message Boards too.

          Here’s Planned Parenthood’s response:
          http://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/newsroom/press-releases/alarmed-saddened-komen-foundation-succumbing-political-pressure-planned-parenthood-launches-fun-38629.htm

          Some snips from the statement:

“…We are alarmed and saddened that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation appears to have succumbed to political pressure. Our greatest desire is for Komen to reconsider this policy and recommit to the partnership on which so many women count,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

In the last few weeks, the Komen Foundation has begun notifying local Planned Parenthood programs that their breast cancer initiatives will not be eligible for new grants (beyond existing agreements or plans). The Komen Foundation’s leadership did not respond to Planned Parenthood requests to meet with the Komen Board of Directors about the decision.

To ensure that the Komen Foundation’s decision doesn’t jeopardize any woman’s access to lifesaving screenings and services, Planned Parenthood has launched a Breast Health Emergency Fund. The fund will offset the support that 19 local Planned Parenthood programs stand to lose from Komen. The Komen-funded Planned Parenthood programs have helped thousands of women in rural and underserved communities get breast health education, screenings, and referrals for mammograms…”

          ————-
“…Over the past five years, Planned Parenthood health centers with Komen program funding have provided nearly 170,000 clinical breast exams out of the more than four million clinical breast exams performed nationwide at Planned Parenthood health centers, as well as more than 6,400 mammogram referrals out of 70,000 mammogram referrals. Anti-choice groups in America have repeatedly threatened the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation for partnering with Planned Parenthood to provide these lifesaving cancer screenings…”

          ————-
“…Abigail Sanocki, in Denver, Colorado, is one of the thousands of women who have received critical treatment at Planned Parenthood thanks to funding from the Komen Foundation. She said: “In January of 2010 I found a lump in my left breast. At the time I was unemployed (like many others in the nation), and considering having to ignore it. However, at my annual exam, I did have one of Planned Parenthood’s doctors look at it, and was encouraged to get an ultrasound, which then lead to me having to have the lump biopsied. The total estimated costs for the ultrasound and needle biopsy, which had to be done through an outside health institution would have been over $7000. I was nearly pennyless, without insurance, and terrified about the possibilities of where the results of this biopsy could have led…. Without Planned Parenthood, I would still be walking around years later unsure of what was going on inside my body and the immediate future of my health.”

          January 31, 2012 at 8:21 pm

The only problem with this, is that it’s pitting the interests of women against other interests of women. Both groups will continue to receive donations, so I’m not worried about that. But it’s a distraction for both groups that is unnecessary.

Rev. Al is 100% right. These right wing nuts already don’t like Romney. Romney has spent this whole time trying to convince those people that he is one of them, a real conservative. Now in the general election, he will try to go back to the middle. Those right wing nuts would not like that one bit. Plus it will just show once again that Mitt is a flip flopper. He will say and do anything to be elected.

Newt is finished. He’s facing a lot of states in February that are not favorable to him beginning with Nevada. Newt was NEVER serious about winning the nomination, he’s been disguising his book tour as a Presidential campaign, hence the Herman Cain endorsement. Hawaii is the most oil dependent state in the nation with more than 95 percent of its energy supplied by imported fossil fuels. Gas and electricity prices are also far above the national average. To increase its energy independence, Hawaii is revving up its state electric vehicle program, “EV Ready,” thanks to $4.5 million in funding from the Energy Department’s State Energy Program and the Recovery Act.

As part of the program administered by Hawaii’s Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), residents and businesses can apply for rebates and grants to purchase electric vehicles and construct charging stations. In 2011, rebates were approved for 237 electric vehicles and 168 chargers.

Last July, Governor Neil Abercrombie unveiled the first public charging station installed in the state capitol’s underground parking garage. Since then, five additional charging stations have been installed at state-owned buildings in Honolulu, and another eight chargers at the motor pool for the state’s new fleet of electric vehicles.

In honor of “Mitt the Shit” news…http://bobcesca.com/blog-archives/2012/01/let-them-go-bankrupt-5.html

According to Bloomberg, the Federal Reserve of Philadelphia is projecting that Michigan, the epicenter of President Obama’s socialist takeover, is expected to lead the nation in economic growth over the next six months.

Economic recovery in so-called Rust Belt states may bolster re-election chances for Obama, who pushed the U.S.-backed bailout of General Motors Co. (GM) and Chrysler Group LLC, both based in Michigan.

It’s not a stretch to say that if the president had followed Mitt Romney’s advice, we would not be reading the same story.

I hope they all remember that come Nov!

    • January 31, 2012 at 8:58 pm

Of course you know that ASSHAT Governor f Michigan is going to take CREDIT, even though it was because of the stimulus that President Obama provided by SAVING the auto industry!-

In all of our campaign work we need to talk about the saving of the US Auto Industry —- it is a BIG DEAL…

    sully’s live blog

Let me just say right now: this speech is the most dishonest, manipulative, disgusting series of lies I’ve heard in a very long time. And its core premise: that the president hates this country, whereas Romney believes in it. As I said: disgusting. I’m with Newt on this. The man will say anything to gain power.

I’m glad I didn’t watch the natural born liar tonight, I might have shot my TV like Elvis did. I told yawl this man is dangerous, a liar is the most dangerous person on Earth.

The president is scheduled to deliver remarks at a campaign fundraiser at the swanky St. Regis Hotel, and later, at another fundraiser in a private residence.

Tickets for both are reportedly going for $35,800 apiece, the maximum amount allowed under law, to be split between the president’s reelection campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

More good news from the President that can balance a checkbook.

    http://bobcesca.com/blog-archives/2012/01/out-of-control-spending-4.html

According to a new report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), ending the Iraq war and winding down in Afghanistan will save over three quarters of a trillion dollars over the next 10 years.

And if the Bush Tax Cuts end, an added savings of another trillion over 10 years, the nation will be flush with cash. We’ll have more cash than we know what to do with. We’ll be able to afford the things this country desperately needs.

This is what true fiscal responsibility looks like.

    crazy socialist :)

I have not been on the blog for a few hours and am starting by posting instead of reading. I just turned on MSNBC and heard Mitt is the projected winner, no surprise there. Heard his victor’s speech and see they have him on a shorter leash now. I have a hard time listening to him speel his lies out about President Obama. I sooooo want him to lose and not be our next President. Oh please, God. Do not let the people totally lose their minds! I am dedicated to PBO’s winning.

YES WE CAN; Mitt’s lies will not win out —- we know we can win; it just takes hard work and the truth… ;-)
I couldn’t listen to MItt; decided to call my volunteers for caucus night next Tuesday; getting people started in the campaign mode!!!

      Let’s go do this!

  55. January 31, 2012 at 8:56 pm

Santorum is running for VP. He’s just released an ad targeting Gingrich and Paul, but not one word about Romney.

Romney’s completely dishonest speech just made me pissed off as hell!!!

Seriously, I’m from NOLA and I’ve got voodoo on my mind.

I refuse to watch Mitt’s “victory” speech, but I know that he will think he’s at his coronation! He really does believe in the divine right of Romney. He probably believes he was a king in some former life, and I know he believes he will be a king in the afterlife! He’ll have his own planet, and everyone will have to bow down to him…….He is the picture of the white entitlement prick. I CAN’T stand him! He is worse than GWB!

carolyn, I didn’t watch Mitt Florida victory tonight either. My 14 nephew was over tonight and he is a big Michael Jackson fan so I watch GLEE, with him. They was doing a tribute to MJ, and they sounded pretty good. My first time really sitting down watching GLEE.

The Dem Party wants this GOP Race to go on as long as possible from what I have heard. There would be too many months for PBO to be both running the Country and battling Mitt is it ended right now. Atleast that is what I heard.

  61. January 31, 2012 at 9:07 pm

DETROIT (Reuters) – General Motors Co (GM.N) will start building a $200 million stamping factory next week in Arlington, Texas, a move that will save the No. 1 U.S. automaker about $40 million a year in logistics costs and add 180 jobs.

The plant, which is expected to open in 2013, will be a part of GM’s 250-acre manufacturing complex where GM now makes its Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and other models.

The Arlington complex currently gets those components from several GM plants and some parts come from more than 1,000 miles away. The new factory will make large stamping components for the next generation of full-size Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban SUVs.

Newt is giving his dirty, lying speech right now. He has asked the people to fund his campaign and vote out Ben Nelson and give him a House and Senate so he can repeal Obamacare and a couple of other things his first day. He has a huge list of changes he will do. He also has lied about PBO terribly. I can’t take it!!!! I hate the Republicans.

But I’ve known a number of people that use it that are brilliant, accomplished, successful, kind and wonderful people. My cousin is a pot head, he smokes everyday. He is functional, works every day, and if you met him you would think he was the coolest guy. Underneath he is scary, he can become volitile given that he does not get his way. I am ok with Recreational and medicinal use as long as it does not consume your life like any other activity that can be abused, be it food, alcohol, or sex.
