What an exquisite and wickedly witty comment! Susanne, you are one of the reasons why I love this site so much! I mostly come here because I get to enjoy delicious humor on top of serious commentaries by very knowledgeable people.
Anyone watch the GOP Debates? I have recorded it and plan to try to stomach my way through it later after I hear what is in it. I always need to prepare myself ahead of time as I hate the Obama bashing and lies that happen. Just once I’d like to see the moderators actually refute the lies and hold the candidates to speaking the truth.
This is one of those ‘same expression’ pictures I was thinking of a few days ago when i remarked that Mr. & Mrs. O often sport identical expressions even when not looking at each other.

I can’t see any of the current crop of GOP candidates having 1/4 the energy and stamina this president has. Romney couldn’t keep up with a schedule like this. He’s already aged a lot from the GOP primary season…
i think they’re trying to make him look ‘normal’–you know, faded jeans, grey temples, dowdy shirt. too bad they can’t get him to actually be normal. because a normal person would notice that nobody wants him for president.
Evening Chips & TODville, just dropping in to find out what you have all been up to! Though I’m still suffering form TOD withdrawal syndrome I can’t hang around too long as I’m tired and sleepy. I’m not sure what frame of mind I’m in as I was counting the days this week until I could be back here ‘full time’, only to be asked to extend my three-week full time stint to another week (and possibly two). They have NO IDEA how eagerly I was counting off the days! I said I didn’t think I could, but was asked to think it over and give an(other) answer tomorrow. Part of me feels a little guilty hesitating when others are job hunting, but more of me feels ‘I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE TOD-OBOTS ARE DOING!’ Arrrggh! Maybe I should ask for online privileges at lunchtime if I decide to stay. We’ll see.
Forget that – what’s new and exciting in the TOD family? I see the Pres has been singing again! Suh-weet! Definitely a man of many talents and one that can’t really be pigeon-holed. I’ll take one of him contrasted with any six from the other side. They are SOOO outclassed in every respect!! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
No love…no Twitterdom for me:) I am a bit of a “voyeur” from time to time though:) Got that from TP My crazy state is in a PERPETUAL state of crazy!! The stupid hurts. Are you back home now or still on your African adventure??
I was about to say goodnight, and then did a last check on my email ….. I can’t tell ya how thrilled I am about this:
Jacquelineoboomer will be coming back to TOD soon. She’s got big stuff happening in her family life at the moment, but hopes to “pick up from where I left off” next week.
I’m completely overjoyed about this, Jacq’s email made my day.
Oh…that’s such wonderful news, Chips:) JO’B was missed very much around here…so glad to hear that she’s decided to return. She will be welcomed back with open arms.
Babies might be wearing diapers, but NOBODY likes to be grabbed in the crotch… Stupid Myth, he is vile. I am proud of that little red-headed boy for expressing his outrage! Whenever I see pics of PBO with a child, I have to wonder how long it takes the family to have that photo printed, framed and standing on the mantlepiece! I always imagine it happens pretty fast. No one in their right mind would print this crappy Robney pic with the baby freaking out! No family heirloom here.
Good evening TOD family – just catching up again on all the latest. I attended my local caucus tonight and was pleasantly surprised when I was elected as an alternate to our State convention. I will be supporting Elizabeth Warren and I am very excited about this opportunity. On March 6 is the Massachusetts Presidential primary and the activity level in the state is increasing rapidly. And, of course, New Hampshire is looking to us for help as well. It will be a very busy year and I have decided to give up my very-part-time job to concentrate on the campaign. It’s going to be tough on my finances, but I have decided that there is nothing more important in my life than making sure that the best President ever is given another four years to perfect our union. I am so proud of being part of his team and also of being a family member at TOD, even if I post only every couple of weeks. I get so much information from this blog and others associated with TOD and I am very grateful for everything Chips does for us. I think it would be a great idea to have a TOD reunion in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day, 2013. Anyone interested?
Great news, hgerhard! I know that your hard work and dedication will pay off….I left my job in 2008 to work hard to get PBO elected…luckily, I got to return to my job in Dec. of that year….some things are just that important. Always so good to see you when you stop by and fill us in. I hope that you keep us all abreast of what’s happening with your work, and what you hear there on the ground. Eyes on the North Star…Press On! Good Luck.
“Chuck” was Chips’ very short-lived agent, who she had to get after Sir Mick Jagger tweeted her video of PBO singing last night. Unfortunately, it turns out that “Chuck” was a Santorum supporter, so they had to part ways.
Hey LL, in the midst of nearly choking from laughter on all the ‘Chuckie boy’ banter, forgot to thank you for yet another excellent post at TPV.
Did a bit of shout out for you on Twitter:
USA – GOP lie, no matter how criminal. GWB proved it by lying us into an illegal war. A manifesto on their lies tinyurl.com/7rmwp92— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) February 23, 2012
You thought I was asleep, but I saw your comment, amk. Quiet frankly, I would re-hire Chuck in a heartbeat before employing you again. I will never – and I mean NEVER – forgive you for having me dangle naked from the top of the Empire State for that ‘Mechanics Totally Rock’ photoshoot, I still have frostbite on my extreme bits. You were a rubbish agent, it’ll be a long, long, long time before I defrost – or let bygones be bygones.
Nate Silver gave both Romney and Paul B+’s. The others B and B-. I tweeted Silver that this was some serious grade inflation. It’s pretty clear to me that the media wants Romney to be the nominee because it will make the race closer (or so they think) and drive their ratings up. Romney lied and dodged several questions; he looked tired, frustrated, aged and desperate and he should get at MOST a C- for his overall performance.
His 538 Blog was the only thing that kept me sane and got me through the 2008 election. He’s been a bit different since coming to the Times. I hope he’s better when the election gets closer.
Whew. Done with the freak show. People and Governments around the world must be on their knees begging that these yahoos NEVER enter the oval office. They thought they had it bad with GWB but this bunch of freaks make GWB’s policies look like child’s play.
I love Stephanie Cutter. When I saw her on LO, my heart jumped for joy. She has fight in her bones, and she is not afraid of anyone. She knows her facts and will set the record straight. POB has a great ‘got your back’ in Stephanie Cutter indeed.HZ
I totally agree about Stephanie Cutter. Today was the first time that I really watched her. I was really impressed with her and her command of the facts and how she refuted Robney’s lies.
From the Guardian live blogging, this hilarious update as the debate in Mesa, Arizona wrapped up……
——————————
10.05pm: And that is. Thank god that’s over. A couple more hours of this and the Republican party could go the way of the Whigs. (Some of you may think that’s not a bad thing.)
So 20 years from now we’ll find that all these Republican debates were secretly funded by the Obama campaign, code-named “Give them enough rope”.
I can honestly say I have not watched not one of these debates. Value my brain cells and low blood pressure too much, but appreciate the commentary that accompanies it. Always proof that it’s best I stayed away.
LunerSea, I thought I was alone! In my case, I do have blood pressure to deal with so I thought it best not to make my situation worse by watching the GOP debates. I, however, sincerely appreciate all the brave souls who watch these debates and share their analyses of the debates with us.
In the coming weeks, the Obama campaign will open its fourth field office in Arizona, a state no Democrat has won since Bill Clinton and which native-son John McCain won in 2008 by nine points. The location of the office, a storefront on Phoenix’s majority-Latino west side, matters. Just a few months ago, it was used by campaign volunteers for Daniel Valenzuela, a local firefighter, who mounted an underdog bid for the City Council on the theory that he could turn out Latino voters who don’t normally vote. He won big in 2011, as did the new Democratic mayor in Phoenix, Greg Stanton.
A group of young people calling themselves “Team Awesome” knocked on 72,000 doors in the city to support Valenzuela’s bid. They increased off-year turnout among the Latino community by 480%, more than delivering Valenzuela’s margin of victory. “There is a ripple effect that has the city and the county and the state of Arizona looking at the way they approach politics,” says Joseph Larios, 29, a community organizer now working with the state Democratic Party who helped Valenzuela develop his strategy. “It’s impossible to say going after low-propensity Latino voters doesn’t matter based on what happened.”
For the Obama campaign nationwide, “expanding the electorate” increasingly means “expanding the Latino electorate.” If Obama is able to win heavily-Latino Western states like Nevada, Colorado and Arizona, he could still win in the electoral college even if he loses historically key states in the industrial Midwest like Ohio and Wisconsin. “If we do our grassroots stuff right on the ground in all these Western states, which we will, because it’s something we are good at,” Obama campaign manager Jim Messina told me, “we could seriously change the outcome.”
What a difference to the depressing person I heard on NPR tonight, saying that the President can’t be guaranteed the black vote in November, he’ll have to work for it or people will stay home. While Latinos are encouraging people to get involved, this man was almost gloating about the fact that he THINKS that black people will stay home if they’re not wooed by President Obama. What about encouraging the African American community to work and get out the vote? What about acknowledging that the alternative to President Obama is a group of people who have practiced a level of racism in these past three years that has been breathtaking? What about pointing out the good things that this President has done in his presidency that have served the African American community specifically and in conjunction with every other American? What about just being proud of the work this President has done and how he’s represented the African American community – him and his entire family? He even tried to claim that the President singing the Al Green song and again last night were a political ploy to get African American votes.
I know this depressing person doesn’t speak for the African American community, but it’s horrible that people may not realize that he’s just speaking for himself, ignoring a lifetime of work done by this President for the African American community and Americans in general. Very disappointing. The stakes are just too high for that kind of nonsense.
Dream Act….here we come. We have got to flip the House (which we will) and get over 60 Dems in the Senate. WE CAN DO THIS FOLKS….IM ALL IN…OBAMA/BIDEN 2012.
Theo67. NOT THE BLACK FOLKS I KNOW!!!! Folks in Philadelphia, PA are getting fired up to bring Philadelphia, surrounding counties and thus, Pennsylvania, for Pres. Obama. There are haters in every community. And black haters are the best kind to get on the radio or TV. Just ask Tavis Smiley (Travesty) Cornel West (Corny) Boyce Watkins (Bitter) It just makes me work harder to register more voters!!
I will be attending a community meeting tonight to map out plans for my community…i am so excited about talking to my neighbors and fam…folks that i see everyday…talking about issues and concerns…registering people to vote…phone banking etc….
i live in the Germantown section of Philadelphia…soon we will be launching our campaign office….can’t wait for that….
These insulated black people don’t know what the heck they are talking about. Don’t despair Theo67. What I find in talking to black folks is that more than ever they are fired up. One reason why? They are sick and tired of the disrespect President Obama has gotten since coming to power after all he’s done. Most are very angry and are making it their business to come out and vote.
People like that guy on NPR like to think they speak for the black community. Ask them where they get this nonsense and they will probably push some poll taken by the equally out of touch Beltway MSM.
One other thing, for these kinds of people, (including Tavis, Cornel) I think they think negative talk about PBO is beneficial to them personally to line their coffers with pennies and crumbs dropped down from the emprogs. None of them have succeeded. Where are they now? Flailing somewhere in the wind.
Goodnight Chips and TOD Family. So happy that you are happy tonight. Good news from Jacquelineoboomer. Best of my thoughts, love, and meditations tenderly going forth for both of you. I love you both with so much grace and respect. These are the things that bind us together.
Nite to my beloved TOD Family. ((((((((Hugs to all of those who are going through the tough times within my dear and loving family)))))))))))))
Still lifting up in quiet and loving thoughts for our beautiful space here.
I close with this quote from a book that I am reading tonight: “Welcome joy into your home as a permanent resident.”Osteen.
Goodnight everyone here, I love you all so very much, and let us not forget to lift up in our prayers, candle lighting moments, and quiet meditations our beautiful President, VP and their Cabinet members and Sfaff. We still have much to help them accomplish.HZ
Good day and good night. Just finished catching up. Phew! Lots of stuff happening.
I loved the little boy in the ground breaking ceremony. He looked so darn nervous. Stood like I might upon meeting the pres. Afraid to move. He was probably just hoping to get thru without knocking something over, like I might be.
Congrats hgerhard – What a great way to spend this year. I think an inauguration meetup of TODers is a fab idea.
Thanks for all the info, laughter, clips and dedication peeps.
• Dragged The GOP Down With Him Conservative pundits sympathetic to Romney have been making the case this week that, whatever Santorum’s conservative merits, he drags the whole party down with his extreme rhetoric. They got plenty of evidence for their case on Wednesday after the GOP received a question on whether they support birth control. Gingrich and Romney practically fell over themselves to condemn moderator John King for daring to even bring it up, insisting that it was an irrelevant distraction from the important issues of the day and their only concerns with contraception were really about religious freedom.
Then came Rick Santorum, who completely deflated their case. He enthusiastically responded to a question about contraception with a lengthy (and seemingly unrelated) sermon about the over-sexualization of teenagers.
U attended a Mama’s For Obama meeting tonight in Pasadena, CA and was able to hear Mrs. Obama encourage us to tell our family and friends to get on board to help re-elect PBO. I told the lovely woman there about The Obama Diary (hey Chips did you know there is a “OBAMA DIARY”? not as good as our place here I’m sure).
The 7 Biggest Lies Uttered At The CNN Arizona Republican Debate
================================
5). Lie: Mitt Romney denies ever mandating contraception in religious hospitals in 2005
The Facts: Mitt Romney told a huge lie when he claimed that he never mandated that religious hospitals provide birth control. The truth is that in 2005 as governor of Massachusetts Romney signed a bill that mandated emergency contraception be provided in religious hospitals. At the time Romney said, “In my personal view, it’s the right thing for hospitals to provide information and access to emergency contraception to anyone who is a victim of rape.” Now according to Mitt those comments in 2005 never happened.
Oh man, suddenly, after a very looooonggg time to post a comment, my whole TOD layout is weird. All white background, blue screen names, numbered posts with the # in the margin to the left of the screen name. I think I will log out, this is spooking me out!
Okay, now it is back to normal, white on black background, post # in grey in the right hand margin… I think it’s goodnight for me, I seem to have picked up a headache today… Thank you all for calling me Pamela!
pamela, you are welcome! my name is susanne, and for some reason, i am often called susan. i know it’s not a big difference, but it is a different name. fundamental to not letting others define who you are–claim your name! have a good night’s rest.
A guest on The Ed Show just made a very good point. While the unhinged and deranged GOP presidential candidates were saying President Obama for being the most dangerous president. Meanwhile, President Obama was signing the payroll tax cut extension that will believe it or not benefit the very same conservatives that were cheering on the ugliness from the candidates. How ironic.
So, suddenly, vice-presidential timber Bob starts to have second thoughts about the Dildos Mandating Dildos Act Of 2012. Bob’s “backing off” his committment to organized medievalism. Good for you, Bob. By way of explanation, The Washington Post reports this little nugget without any concern that some of its readers may keel over laughing:
Many of the bill’s supporters were apparently unaware of how invasive the procedure could be, one of the officials added.
Oh, yeah…”many of the bill’s supporters were apparently unaware of how invasive the procedure could be.” Oh, REALLY????? IT WAS BROUGHT UP BY A WOMAN!!! WTF is wrong with these people? Do they really think that little factoid WON’T be known??? OMG…A Cialis commercial on TV now! God please don’t have that erection last longer than 4 hours…Paging Lorina Bobbit!!
President Barack Obama will use a visit to Florida on Thursday to talk energy policy as gas prices continue to rise.
Senior administration officials said Tuesday that Obama’s speech at the University of Miami isn’t necessarily to respond to the current gas price chatter, but the president will build off his State of the Union address, talking about eliminating oil and gas subsidies, instituting a clean energy standard and in general an “all of the above” approach to energy.
It’s been a long and busy day. So much going on. Sure makes my day end on a smile to come here and be energized seeing our President and reading all these comments. Hearing how the debate went makes me glad I didn’t watch. Thanks to all of you who did watch and report to us. Thanks to all of you! Off to bed must get some rest for another long day tomorrow.
“There’s no way to weigh these partial and provisional successes against partial and provisional failures, until a year or five years or ten or twenty years from now. As a progressive, in tune with all these goals, I have little doubt that Obama has advanced them as well as anyone now present on our political stage could have.”
They actually admit that everything Romney is saying in the primary is just something he has to do to get votes from the dunderheads. In a few weeks, he’ll pivot to pandering to the larger unwashed with a different set of lies.
I’m just gathering bits and pieces from the tweets – I’m not watching the show myself. But apparently, Joke brought on NJ Gov Ghristie loud mouth and bully, and Russ Feingold to question the President’s Afghanistan policy although Feingold himself voted FOR the war when Bush started it. Folks are pissed off, calling Feingold a phony,
I don’t trust him, Jackie. Why he is a progressive darling is beyond me. His voting record is downright bizarre, if you want to judge by progressive standards. He’s a purity peddler, who just a few weeks ago was skewering the President for using a superPAC. because we’re so much better off if Democrats lose on principle, thereby ushering in the American Taliban into the halls of Congress.
I don’t doubt that Feingold has a progressive heart. I have deep doubts, however, about his common sense when it comes to actually governing and stopping dangerous wingnuts from ruining the country, packing the courts and potentially giving us a Supreme Court that will make this country unlivable for the next two generations. If Feingold can’t sound truly committed to the President and do it enthusiastically, then I’d rather he be outside of the campaign.
Bill Clinton has been in the ‘keep the enemies close’ school, and pretty much if he opens his mouth he’s doing damage. A national chairman by definition is there to cheerlead for the candidate. I don’t have much faith that Feingold will do that effectively.
I think Feingold is a PUMA who was probably hoping for a cabinet position if Hillary had won. Many of those types are still grudging PBO. They just can’t get over it.
You can’t make someone ‘shut up’ as one of the national chairmen. The point of these chairmen is to campaign for the candidate. Unless he brings some of the whiny left back in the fold then he’s useless to the campaign. Frankly, I’ve been wandering over to the Orange Satan lately and they are, by a healthy margin, back in the fold anyway.
Hey, I hope I’m wrong and Feingold becomes an effective spokesperson for the campaign.
Yes Old Orange seems to be on board now for the most part. And they seemed to have let go of that OWS obsession. There are still a few concern trolls posting diaries – I had to put one soundly in her place a couple weeks ago.
This needs to be spread far and wide. Note to middle class Americans: This is the GOP. They want you to suffer so they can gain power. They just don’t care.
Good morning TOD Family. I NEVER watch Morning Joke and especially not interested in Big Mouth Christie or Feingold. Feingold had the nerve to go continually go against the President but certainly sucked up to him when he was running for re-election. I don’t know why he was appointed a co-chair.
As a WI resident, I think Feingold was partially appointed to bring the WI progressives back into the fold and to win WI for Obama. WI progressives love Feingold! They wanted him to run for governor, but he won’t do that. When I was working the recall Walker campaign, I’d hear these progressives say “I’m disappointed in Obama. He should’ve come to our state and helped us.” I had many a spirited discussion with these people. Most of them were Hillary supporters. Anyhow, I may wrong on this, but it could be part of the reason he was chosen.
Right now even in Wisconsin, Obama leads the GOP frontrunner by double digits. PBO never lost his true base. The folks in Wisconsin who pretended to be disgruntled “progressives” were Reagan Democrats and Hillary supporters who voted for REPUBLICANS in the midterms to “teach Obama a lesson.” only to find out that the joke was on them and they were the ones with the lesson to learn. Apparently, and thankfully for the country’s sake, they appeared to have learnt that badly needed lesson.
HEADLINE: China says ready to improve U.S. military ties
// (Reuters) – China is ready to work with the United States to advance military ties, a defense ministry spokesman said Thursday, following a U.S. trip by China’s vice president that featured a visit with top Pentagon officials. The comments, posted on the ministry’s website, signaled a wary optimism from China’s military, which typically takes a harder stance toward the United States than other parts of the Chinese government.
“We are ready to work with the U.S. side, by observing the principles of mutual respect, trust, equality and mutual benefits,” said Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng //
On a positive note. I love the picture with the Obama collar on the cat (and especially the poster). I have the Barack’s Best Friend 2012 dog collar and leash for one of my dogs. We walk the neighborhood every weekend.
Please join me in lighting a candle for our President’s safety, as he travels outside of Washington.
Little Pricky said the President is afraid of Iran, and will not attack Syria because he is afraid.
Elect little Pricky, he says, and we will have WW III.

Morning Joe just apologized to Chucky T. About the Miami Hurricaines.
Could be because Chucky T. Went to The U and that is his favorite Team, and also the President is speaking there today.
He was obviously being feceitious!
from the White House:
“Following up on their February 20 phone call, the President sent a letter to President Karzai to continue their discussion on a range of issues related to our long-term partnership. In the letter, delivered by Ambassador Crocker this afternoon in Kabul, the President also expressed our regret and apologies over the incident in which religious materials were unintentionally mishandled at Bagram Airbase.” – Tommy Vietor, NSC Spokesman
After he gets elected, he should just get out of that Country, leave an Aircraft Carrier in the area to run daily missions against Terrorists.
i saw him this morning…now that he is no longer in the race he has all these ideas….and after his endorsement of Romney now he is calling for a 3rd party…..
No stranger to ethics controversies, Newt Gingrich’s campaign was warned for a second time about “widespread financial irregularities.”
The Federal Election Commission says the campaign must explain why almost $1 million has been paid to Gingrich, his staff, and his fundraising consultants for questionable reimbursements.
It’s simply astonishing that a man in his fourth year as our president continues to be the object of the most extraordinary paranoid fantasies. A significant part of his opposition still cannot accept that Obama is a rather moderate politician quite conventional in his tastes and his interests. And now that the economy is improving, short-circuiting easy criticisms, Obama’s adversaries are reheating all the old tropes and cliches and slanders.
Am I first?
Winner!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to pretend that, that is me hugging PBO.
My absolute favorite photo from the 2008 campaign! It says so much much.
My favorite photos is anything with his family, specially Malia and Sasha.

Cathy, Pelosi is much better that that do nothing thing that is speaker now.
Here!
My computer is so clogged with Repugs that it took 4 minutes for my email inbox to receive the “new thread” notification! LOL!!!!!
WTF?
Romney described himself as Resolute…what the desk?
Who talks like that? Resolute? The 19th century is over.
Yeah they asked to describe themselves in one word
Paul- Consistent
Santorum- Courage
Romney-Resolute
Newt-Cheerful
I like trees…yeah, it’s all making sense now.
cheerful??!!? does he have a new mistress?
OMG *Dead*
lol, now that’s funny.
What an exquisite and wickedly witty comment! Susanne, you are one of the reasons why I love this site so much! I mostly come here because I get to enjoy delicious humor on top of serious commentaries by very knowledgeable people.
blushing, blushing–thanks, thank you very much, thankyou. and right back at ya!
Cheerful???? LOL
Someone please tell Ricky-boy that ‘courage’ is not a descriptor, and he should try the adjective.
LOL, they left out one word…..LIAR for all 4

I always need to prepare myself ahead of time as I hate the Obama bashing and lies that happen. Notice it’s dark outside. This is no 9 to 5 President. He should be with his family but he’s doing our business. Right on Mr. President.
But but but Fox and AM talk radio told be all he does is VACATION!!!!
Which AM radio? Whoever. They can all kiss my grits!
I sure hope your comment was snarky ninten?
Did Callista do Newt’s make up?
Republicans are assholes. There is nothing wrong with more job oppurtunities for women in the military.
And they are better, in a lot of regards.
These Republicans want the women bare footed and pregnant.

I can’t see any of the current crop of GOP candidates having 1/4 the energy and stamina this president has. Romney couldn’t keep up with a schedule like this. He’s already aged a lot from the GOP primary season…
So true hopefruit…I was noticing the same thing watching video of Micky Romney-bisquits. He’s starting to look like 5 miles of bad road.
i think they’re trying to make him look ‘normal’–you know, faded jeans, grey temples, dowdy shirt. too bad they can’t get him to actually be normal. because a normal person would notice that nobody wants him for president.
What a busy, busy man. He is steadily getting things done.
Let’s pray for POTUS as he makes these campaign events. Looks like alot of events he has to do.

Sure, why not LIE?
Boy, is Mitt off base on sanctions. POTUS has led the world in imposing most withering economic sanctions ever.
— @davidaxelrod via Twitter for Mac
so finally stepping into twitterdom, df? heard that your crazy state notched up the crazy today.
No love…no Twitterdom for me:) I am a bit of a “voyeur” from time to time though:) Got that from TP
My crazy state is in a PERPETUAL state of crazy!! The stupid hurts. Are you back home now or still on your African adventure??
Still on the holy grail quest. Will never quit. (Of course, will be going home this sunday.)
One of the most reassuring images you’d ever want to see: The 44th President of the United States sitting at that desk with pen in hand.
Let’s keep him there for another 4 years — 4 MORE FOR 44!!
Oh, yeah, baby!! We already know it!! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012,2013,2014,2015,2016 and then he can record an album or whatever!!
yes yes yes!!
Romney can’t even answer a straight question: what’s the biggest misconception about you

It’s over. WHEW!
I’m logging off now.
Have a pleasant evening TOD & Chipsticks.
Peace be with you G.
Night everyone.
Thanks so much for this update!! Goodnight to you, Chips. xoxo
That’s wonderful news Chips. I will be happy to see Jacqueline back with us again
Can’t let the GOP break us up for silly reasons..no way!!!
Wonderfullllll…..
This is great news about Jacquelineoboomer. I’ve missed her. Maybe we should have champagne on hand when she comes back.
Great news; thanks for the update!
Woot! Well earned sweet dreams for you tonight, Ms. Chipsticks!
Sweet…..I was thinkin’ about doin’ a tweet and telling her to bring it on home.
{{{happy dancing!!!}} Yay!!!
Oh…that’s such wonderful news, Chips:) JO’B was missed very much around here…so glad to hear that she’s decided to return. She will be welcomed back with open arms.
Great news!!!!
#PRESSON
time to sing a chorus of ‘let’s stay together’!
great news!
good news. Looking forward to seeing her back here.
http://thelastword.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/02/22/10481012-better-babysitter-obama-or-romney
Who’s a better baby-whisperer – President Obama or Mr. Romney (spoiler alert: you won’t be surprised!)
The second pic is a killer.
yep, everyone in that picture looks grim, except ol’ robme, just smilin’ that campaign smile. honestly, i’m embarassed for him.
That guy has absolutely NO CLUE how to connect with a baby. It’s like he can’t bear to hold it near. FAIL.
I never get tired of the “baby whisperer” magic man PBO. Mittens Robme acts like he does not want to touch the regular people and their babys.
Yikes!! This is not the first picture I have seen of Mitt holding up a baby like that. Like he is afraid to get too close to the kid.
Anyone interested?
way to go hgerhard. A true democrat, Keep up the good work.
I plan to be there rain or shine or snow or ice!
You are the best; I love inauguration day meeting — let’s win this!
Congratulations!!!! We are the ones we have been waiting for.
Good Luck.
I’m delighted. You will rock the campaign!
I would be very much interested……
Presssssssssss ON!
So Chips, how is chuck ?
/dubyaesque smirk
I didn’t realize that Chips and Chuck Todd were an item? I didn’t get that memo..please fill me in. I think Chips has already gone to bed though
“Chuck” was Chips’ very short-lived agent, who she had to get after Sir Mick Jagger tweeted her video of PBO singing last night. Unfortunately, it turns out that “Chuck” was a Santorum supporter, so they had to part ways.
Ah…makes sense now. Thanks LL for filling me in
Hey LL, in the midst of nearly choking from laughter on all the ‘Chuckie boy’ banter, forgot to thank you for yet another excellent post at TPV.
Did a bit of shout out for you on Twitter:
#PRESSON
HF, amk gets to fill you in on this in all by himself!
She dumped me as her agent (for life, no less) for that chucky boy. That lasted exactly for one
shiftthread.LOL! Oh now I remember…my condolescences, amk. Hope Chips comes back to her senses and rehires you. Maybe after a good night’s rest!
Work for that woman again ? Nevah.
Hey, I at least made you apply sunblock before you went all dangling.
chucky boy would have never thought of that in a million years.
(My sides hurt from laughing!)!!
FLIPPING THRU THE RETHUG DEBATE TONITE…I WOULD RATHER CLEAN OUT MY CAT’S LITTERBOX!!!!!…EVEN FULL…IT SMELLS BETTER!
Halperin did not give out any A grades tonight!
The best was Robney at B-, Santirum got a D+.
LOL!
Sounds like a real winner tonight….
President Obama….A+++++
I saw his grades on twitter and Geez Halperin would drink Romney’s bath water if he could. His kiss ass nature is gross.
I never liked Nate Silver. I don’t trust him.
His 538 Blog was the only thing that kept me sane and got me through the 2008 election. He’s been a bit different since coming to the Times. I hope he’s better when the election gets closer.
He must be coming to the realization that flip flop want come close to beating President Obama.
…and the winner of the 1 millionth debate is……………………………….
President Barack Obama, and still champ!
http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/02/22/gop_debate_reaction.html#disqus_thread
Whew. Done with the freak show. People and Governments around the world must be on their knees begging that these yahoos NEVER enter the oval office. They thought they had it bad with GWB but this bunch of freaks make GWB’s policies look like child’s play.
Stephanie Cutter is on Lawrence ( The Last Word) and she’s pointing out the egregious lies said during the GOP clown show.
Oooo, I love her! She is a great asset to President Obama.
Wow,, Stephanie Cutter is fantastic. She stays on message and gets the facts out.
Here’s my one-word summary right now: beer.
——————————-
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/feb/23/cnn-republican-debate-live
‘…one-word summary…: beer’ love it.
I can honestly say I have not watched not one of these debates. Value my brain cells and low blood pressure too much, but appreciate the commentary that accompanies it. Always proof that it’s best I stayed away.
The Klown Kar Train has jumped the rails!

“Has the sleeping giant awaken? This is an up coming TIME Magazine cover. It reads, ‘Yo Decido: How Latinos Will Pick the Next President.’”
wow–the rethugs must be quaking in their cowboy boots.
Totally with you, Isonprize! These few black haters have no credibility in the black communities. Tavis and Corny are in for big surprises.
It makes me harder to register more voters.
***********************
Thisssssssssss…isonprize
I will be attending a community meeting tonight to map out plans for my community…i am so excited about talking to my neighbors and fam…folks that i see everyday…talking about issues and concerns…registering people to vote…phone banking etc….
i live in the Germantown section of Philadelphia…soon we will be launching our campaign office….can’t wait for that….
Presssssssssssss ON!!
Sounds like a Cornell West fan!
Squash that mess. Black people will be coming out for President Obama in DROVES.
Ask any of the folks here:

G’night HZ. Thanks for your beautiful words and hope to see you back here tomorrow
Chips’ “Pres Obama sining “sweet home Chicago” video is over 750K views already!!!
Oh the horror – not for the feint of heart:

Five Ways Rick Santorum Blew It in Arizona
===================================

Heloo TOD Family!
OBAMA/Biden #presson
The 7 Biggest Lies Uttered At The CNN Arizona Republican Debate
================================

How ironic.
Just in-
Buddy Roemer running as an independent.
LOL!
I love this guy!:)

God please don’t have that erection last longer than 4 hours…Paging Lorina Bobbit!!
desertflower, you are TOO funny!!!
I’m so pissed. THAT would save their little “birth control” problem, now wouldn’t it!! “Wait honey, I forgot the cleaver!”
oh, so sorry you have that four-hour boner, sweetie–i just put some noxema on my face and two aspirin between my knees. nighty night!
FYI – ObamaFoodorama is back up:
http://obamafoodorama.blogspot.com/
meta. you say ‘back up’ What happened to ‘em??
I don’t really know what happened but the entire website was down for over a week. Weird.
President Barack Obama will use a visit to Florida on Thursday to talk energy policy as gas prices continue to rise.
Senior administration officials said Tuesday that Obama’s speech at the University of Miami isn’t necessarily to respond to the current gas price chatter, but the president will build off his State of the Union address, talking about eliminating oil and gas subsidies, instituting a clean energy standard and in general an “all of the above” approach to energy.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0212/73141.html
It’s been a long and busy day. So much going on. Sure makes my day end on a smile to come here and be energized seeing our President and reading all these comments. Hearing how the debate went makes me glad I didn’t watch. Thanks to all of you who did watch and report to us. Thanks to all of you! Off to bed must get some rest for another long day tomorrow.
This is a great article “Judging the President by his own standards”
http://xpostfactoid.blogspot.com/2012/02/judging-obama-by-his-own-standards.html
“There’s no way to weigh these partial and provisional successes against partial and provisional failures, until a year or five years or ten or twenty years from now. As a progressive, in tune with all these goals, I have little doubt that Obama has advanced them as well as anyone now present on our political stage could have.”
How I love the way they look at each other. So jealous am I.
So you CAN put a gun rack in the back of a Volt. Take that, Newt!
So thank you sir, once again you show that Newt is a LIAR. The Newt that Franklin Graham said was a christian.
Love reading your comments. Helps my night shift to pass. Keep coming back to see what’s new. Love your Pres.
We need to take this video and place it everywhere. We need to call the Georgia House and make sure that they pass this piece of legislation tomorrow or at least get Yasmin Neal on Rachael http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3vsI1_YFUo&feature=player_embedded
day’s end for me. aloha until tomorrow, chips and toddies!
gopolitico’s butthurt over the current crop of klowns is hilarious.

They actually admit that everything Romney is saying in the primary is just something he has to do to get votes from the dunderheads. In a few weeks, he’ll pivot to pandering to the larger unwashed with a different set of lies.
What a campaign slogan: “The reason to vote for me is because I don’t mean a word I say.”
Huh…… 8:03am and the lst comment was at 6:51. How unusual………….. Hello? Anybody home?
I’m here – well I just logged on! G’morning lisa!
Morning, Hope!! How’r ya doing?
I’m here, too. Takes a while to get started sometimes.
Umm where is everyone
The west coasters are still in bed or just waking up. Most TODers it seems are on Twitter lambasting Morning Joke.
What’d he do now?
I’m just gathering bits and pieces from the tweets – I’m not watching the show myself. But apparently, Joke brought on NJ Gov Ghristie loud mouth and bully, and Russ Feingold to question the President’s Afghanistan policy although Feingold himself voted FOR the war when Bush started it. Folks are pissed off, calling Feingold a phony,
Isn’t that maroon in Obama re-election committee ? What a fucking loser.
Maybe not for LONG….morning, amk:)
Morning df. What a way to start the day, huh ? For me, it’s easier since I’m about start my liquid diet of the evening.
AH…….the “liquid diet” part of the day
Me, too…only mine is coffee:) Have a great night!
I am fasting and only liquid diets are permitted during fasting.
Feingold as one of the national chairmen for PBO? What the hell were they thinking?!?!?!
Keep your enemies close is my guess 57. Seems to work too since Feingold actually starting saying something positive about PBO.
GM…57…
isn’t he one of the co-chairs?…there are quite a few…not sure what their role is exactly…
My feeling is (as Jackie says) that they are trying to shut him up, knowing he has a grudge against PBO.
He actually SAID those words?
This needs to be spread far and wide. Note to middle class Americans: This is the GOP. They want you to suffer so they can gain power. They just don’t care.
Absolutely!! Big mouth had a Slip of the tongue….
Good Morning……..
Did anyone notice the opus dei bracelet on Rick S left wrist ? What would Franklin Graham say about that ?
Jobless claims unchanged..economists expected rise
Good morning TOD Family. I NEVER watch Morning Joke and especially not interested in Big Mouth Christie or Feingold. Feingold had the nerve to go continually go against the President but certainly sucked up to him when he was running for re-election. I don’t know why he was appointed a co-chair.
He was actually very complimentary.
Happy to hear it. Hopes he stays on the path.
He actually also said he got bin laden, al awlaki and gaddafi, and then said he supports the President in 95% of the issues!

But Robney lied and said…
On a positive note.

Alrightie then!
LMAO @ “Little Pricky!”

RNC has an ad up ripping the President on sweet home Chicago.
The RNC is weird!
Where did you see the ad, and what exactly did it criticize him on?

It’s simply astonishing that a man in his fourth year as our president continues to be the object of the most extraordinary paranoid fantasies. A significant part of his opposition still cannot accept that Obama is a rather moderate politician quite conventional in his tastes and his interests. And now that the economy is improving, short-circuiting easy criticisms, Obama’s adversaries are reheating all the old tropes and cliches and slanders.
