I cannot wait to see what those 2 cook up for us!! And poor Mr. Bates. He must be freed!! I have a feeling there’s a lot more to learn about him. And his wife…….
I watched Season 1 of Downton Abbey on Netflix and now want to see Season 2 but it is in process. I don’t want to see it out of order so will need to wait till it is on Netflix too.
I’ve heard many good things about it…I’ve been avoiding it for fear that I will get addicted to yet another show On second thought,I might take a peek tomorrow!
Oh, HF, you WILL be addicted to it after only one viewing, but be sure to watch from the beginning, not from the end…. It will make a huge difference…. Fantastic storyline, fantastic acting, as only the Brits can offer!
I don’t think the cross-over voting has ever had an effect. Previously, the only people I know who have done it have been trying to get a more moderate Republican on the ballot just in case. I know a few people who are talking about doing it now, and they don’t know what to do because there really is no good candidate. They’re evenly split between people voting for Santorum because they think he’s the easier one to beat in the general, and people voting for Romney because they are petrified that Santorum might even possibly in the furthest most reaches of probability win the election.
It’s really time to bring everyone back from Afghanistan. This is a big waste of lives. I really hope that this would be the first thing PBO does after the election. Just bring them all back and let speical forces to do their thing.
My only major disappointment, I have to admit. The killing of bin Laden was the opportunity to end the madness, proof – if it was needed – that those special forces could be infinitely more effective. And countless innocent Afghan and American lives would have been saved. I don’t get it, never have, never will.
I think it’s because there’s a certifiable nutjob running the country that we put there, who would sell us out to anyone with a suitcase nuke, and Pakistan = South East Afgahnistan.
but that’s just a guess, I’m not in the military, and I leave that to the professionals. I’m quite sure there’s a metric shitload of info we don’t know.
Yea, mine too. I think this is the only issue that he’s showing some form of fear of the RW and the media. I have no doubt that he would bring them all back tomorrow. I can understand why he won’t do it now, but I do hope that his first speech the dat after the election would be announcing that this fucking stupid war is over.
Yes let me join in, why is this President afraid of the Republicans and the media. Could it possible be there are information we don’t know about. It’s so easy to make comments looking from the outside.
I honestly don’t think it’s about a fear of the RW or the media at all, BWD, I’m not sure most of them have much appetite for this Afghanistan madness either (they’re too busy lusting after a war on Iran) – Pakistan, I’m guessing, is why this is still going on.
I think that right now, they’ll use it as a crazy political football and if, god forbid, we’ll face some terror attack before the elections – and after he’ll decide to bring everyone home – he’ll lose the election. I get that, and right now even *I* don’t want him to say anything about it. But I do hope that he’ll kick their butts on November 7th.
Don’t forget that there are nuclear weapons barely guarded in Pakistan. That’s probably the biggest reason to stay in Afghanistan. Plus, the need to defund the terrorists who make a fortune from the poppy farmers/drug trade, to continue their wars around the world. Two very good reasons to keep the pressure on. I doubt a highly skilled strike team could manage to keep the nukes safe and re-orient the farming industry in the region all by themselves – it takes a fuller force of the military.
Leaving Afghanistan now will mean the Taliban will be back in power in a week. Bin Laden’s bosom buddy, Mullah Omar (if he’s still alive) would be back in charge. That nightmare scenario is PBO’s primary concern, fear of the RW and/or the media has nothing to do with it.
If Karzai could govern on his own then the war would end this year.
I think that’s what he will do. Ultimately I trust his judgement. We need to be careful to not make assessments based on the media reports – they are shifting from one issue to another depending on how they think it might be used as an election albatross over PBO. Last year after Bin Laden was killed, the MSM swore up and down that foreign policy/war/national security was not going to be an issue in 2012 – it was all about the economy and jobs. Then they shifted from jobs to the issue of taxes…then Kantor and FLOTUS….then they shifted to the social wedge issues like birth control, and all of these things have backfired…so they most recently tried pinning the rising gas prices on PBO, but he put that rest with his Miami speech..so now it’s back to the middle East with Syria, etc..when he deals with that, they will find something else…maybe the amount of sodium and cholesterol in Bo’s dog chow, while FLOTUS is preaching to eat healthy.
Let the media flail..we don’t have to flail with them.
It’s a big ship, it cannot be turned around on a dime. It is turning, and the tides are rising. Yardarm, help me out here with some visuals… PBO is getting it done.
Pamela. I’ve come late to todays party because of some minor medical issues. But to the point re this war talk. We never worry about tides when at sea and big ships can turn quick enough but doing so will dump anything that’s not tied down on deck. This includes people if they’re not holding on. No matter, we can’t leave the middle east too quickly because of the effect it would have on our economy. We make a lot of bullets, bombs, vehicles and other stuff. Peace would put a lot of folks out of work. Then there is the nuclear weapons problem.
Frankly, we have enough high tech stuff that we could close most overseas bases and bring the troops home. We got the ability now to put boots on the ground anywhere in the world in 7 days from bases in the US.
Thank you, yardarm, I remembered later you had told us you would be away most of the day. I hope things went in your favor medically speaking. Thank you for your views, they are always helpful to me. My Dad was a CPO in Naval Intelligence in WWII, served in the OSS in China ’44-’45. Then home, and later into the CIA, when it was first created under Truman.
I think he will do the best for our troops and our nation. POB is a very cautious and precise President in these decisions, and I trust him to make the appropriate choices for all of us. I can see at times, when he is speaking about the military that his heart is heavy , so I will continue to ask for wisdom for him. Also we will all try to lift him up daily as he reads his security briefings, so that he will be strengthen in his being to weigh all the evidence to make these tremendously difficult decisions to bring our men and women home safely.
This is where we can lift him up in our meditations, prayers, and quiet times to be given the best information from all of the departments within his Cabinet. We do this for our service/men/women/families as well. Plus, we try to leave the best that we can for those we leave behind. He will do it , I believe in his next term. I really am praying and putting my thoughts for this. Let us not give up, but remember he said this would not be easy.
There is so much on his plate, but I do believe that he is a man who will not give up as long as he feels that he can make a beautiful difference in this world. I really do believe that about POB. But we have to take the heavy load that we all carrying with us each day about these very sensitive issues ,to a level of hopefulness, peacefulness, prayerfulness, and deep meditations for the best to be on POB’s side. He needs that from us, and we owe it to our troops to be in thoughtfulness and prayerfulness for all of them.HZ
Thank you, HZ, you speak from the still, quiet center of you heart, and mine. I am sure you are absolutely correct in how much we can help PBO by generating this loving energy toward him, and surrounding his beautiful family as well with our care and concern. He has taken on an enormous weight, carrying it willingly and with dedication. Bless you.
Bles your heart hopefruit. 100% agree. We would all do better to refrain from being short sighted. We are not privileged to the National Security Briefings that PBO receives everyday. He said he wanted to end the war in Iraq responsibly and he did. He can’t just pull out of Afghanistan due to the wishy washy whims of those on the left and right. It has to be conducted in a responsible manner and end of 2013 to mid-2014 is a reasonable time frame. Yes, there are mindless deaths on the American and Afghanistan fronts and it is heartbreaking but I trust PBO’s foreign policy chops and not the blinkered 30 second sound bite of the msm.
yes–pbo has the good info, and the good people to advise him. we can trust him with this. he’s got it.
also, it’s instructive to look at the us aid website, and see the projects in afghanistan , focusing on nation-building via school-building, road-building, and agricultural co-op building. the shift away from ground troops is a shift toward building friends there. not quick and easy, not a sound-bite project, and maybe not even do-able. but, like so much pbo has taken on, the right thing.
i’ll link to their page on women’s health care, just to give an idea.
It’s not about the media, IMO. It’s clear that this war simply not worth the money and obviously the lives of so many people. You can’t change a 13th century country, you can’t force them to like you and you can’t have peace with the Taliban, AND you can’t really “win” this war. PBO is all about destroying Al Qaida, having 100,000 troops in Afghanistan is not the way, and I know that he knows it. I also know that he’ll end it way ahead of 2014. Just ket him win the election.
Being in Afghanistan ain’t got nothing to do with anything in Afghanistan; it’s all about Pakistan. They are the biggest sore on his backside. We’ve done everything we can for the Afghan army and I think he knows that (I’m no mind reader or foreign policy expert but that’s what it looks like to me). I would like for it to be completely finished, hands clean of them by the end of 2013 but that doesn’t sound like it’ll happen.
On point, BWD. I believe you are on point. We just have to make sure that we do get him reelected. We will be helping so many of our beautiful men and women in our military. We will support him in doing just that. He knows it, and he will do it.HZ
Indeed my friend, the Afghan war is a bloody waste of time, lives and $$$. And yes, he needs to win the election first. My concern is that if there is agitation right before the election about something he’s not in a position to change until he gets elected, then we run the risk of depressing turnout, ushering in a Romney Presidency and creating the very result that we don’t want – a prolonged war, possibly additional wars, many more lives lost, and a domestic nightmare that we won’t ever wake up from. The PL right now may be quiet but it won’t take much to get them started, and they won’t care if it’s right before an election.
One other thing I would like to add is that I do believe that the media sends out feelers on the blogsites, particularly the left-leaning ones and ones they believe that “Obama’s base” frequents to get a sense of what people are most anxious about and then push that angle in their reports to generate maximum division. I once witnessed a WH press corps reporter ask a question almost verbatim the way it was posed in an Old Orange diary posted earlier that day. Turns out that the said reporter has an account at Old Orange but never posts.
Having said all this, lets send a strong, unequivocal message to the corrupt media that we Obama supporters trust our President’s judgement 100% and are not going to be frenzied by their crappy, yellow journalism. As you’ve said many times, he remains the only adult in the room, and nothing is going to change between now and November 2012 that will convince us otherwise.
I trust his judgement too Hopefruit, absolutely, I have no doubt whatsoever about how thoughtful and informed he is on foreign policy.
I just don’t understand, despite that, why the occupation of Afghanistan is being prolonged when this so-called war is, and always has been, utterly ‘unwinnable’ – as Afghanistan has been for every single invader through history, including, most recently, the Russians.
Day after day innocent Afghans, Americans, Britons, etc are dying there for no good reason, it just seems senseless to me.
I wish I could understand why operations there haven’t been left to the forces who took out bin Laden, while bringing home the rest of the troops who are just sitting targets. More than anything, though, my heart goes out to the Afghan people caught in the middle of this insanity.
What’s going on behind the scenes I don’t, obviously (!), know, but like BWD I suspect PBO knows it’s insanity too. But this is probably more about Pakistan than Afghanistan, maybe the feeling is that it’s essential to have a presence in the region, just to keep an eye on Pakistan?
I don’t know, but I wish this Afghanistan madness would end – soon!
Trust me Chips if PBO announced tonight that he was ending this war tomorrow, I would be thrilled. But as PBO said, we need to be as careful going out as we were careless going in – and I think he means this in every sense of the word, in the sense that not only is he not going to hastily pullout just to placate our emotional desire to see the war end, but also he’s not going to allow Afghan withdrawal to be used as political football in an election year, while Al quaeda still remains a threat to our national security.
Moreover, here’s what the President has said repeatedly that speaks to me:
“I said during the campaign that I’ll always tell you what I think, and I will, always tell you where I stand.”
As recently as his SOTU speech, he has said that Al Qaeda to this day remains a threat, the US has made strides in their original goals and they are making plans for a draw down. Obviously, there is a reason he hasn’t a announced a complete pullout – it may still be too dicey and things may be worse in the long run if it’s used as political football by the Republicans and their mouthpieces in the media, especially during an election year when they already desperate and grasping for straws. I agree with you and BWD that he’s waiting for the elections to be over where he can make some crucial and well thought-out plans to bring this war to a quicker, but safer end.
Hopefruit–you hit it for me with the words, “I trust his judgment.” PBO has access to data that none of us has a clue to. He has to navigate very tricky water without upsetting the balance of contentious relations with Israel, Iran and other ME countries. He’s announced a time when the troops would be withdrawn from Afghanistan and that was done for good reason. I don’t think he wants to appear as if we’re scrambling home now.
I trust President Obama to know what he is doing in Afghanistan. My problem is that some of the people in high command might not be going along with our best interests. I really want to know the facts about how those Koran’s got burnt. They had to know that there would be outrage about this, and I don’t blame then. There were talks with the Afghanistan Gov’t, The Taliban, US, and I’m not sure who else, that were supposed to get started soon, and then someone decided to give an order to discard the Koran’s and burn them.
So are his daughters going to sit at home and learn to make doilies and his boys become plumber apprentices whether they want to or not? No teaching, legal, medical or professional degrees of any kind in the Santorum family. What’s good for papa is not good for anyone else? Somehow I think he means your children, not his.
The interesting question is: how does he plan to make the US globally competitive when everyone else will be studying engineering and medicine and business, while the kids in the US will be learning how to pray and clean toilets? What he’s proposing is a self-fulfilling prophecy for those who are afraid that they are being taken over by “furriners”. What will those American children invent or own in the future when they’re as dumb as rocks.
“Somehow I think he means your children, not his.”
Well said Jackie! For me, there is no doubt that Santorum believes that college education should be for a select few, like himself and his children, but not for the children of the middle class and poor people.
Ever see the movie “Little Shop of Horrors” with Rick Moranis? I picture Trump as a dentist rather like the Steve Martin kind of dentist…know what I mean?
Our President is da’ BOMB! That video was cool. Mitt is so out of sync with people. Does he even click well with his family or are they as air-headed and scatterbrained as he is? Gingrich is pure evil. Icky Santorum is a phony with man-boobs. Yes, I said this.
On my way home from the gym this afternoon, there was this random group of like 5 people standing on the corner of a main intersection holding up Santorum signs. They were competing for attention with the 3 dudes in costume trying to get people to come to the Smoothie King. That was the more surreal thing I’ve seen in quite a while.
WASHINGTON — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R), in town for the National Governors Association conference, will skip a White House dinner Sunday honoring the nation’s governors, telling staff she does not want to participate in a “social” event.
She was overheard Brewer telling gubernatorial staffers prior to Saturday’s opening NGA session that she would skip the dinner because it was a “social” function, but that she would attend Monday’s White House meeting between governors and Obama because it was a “policy” event.
When asked about her plans for Sunday night and her reasons for skipping the dinner, Brewer was ushered away by an aide. Her spokesman, Matthew Benson, stepped in to answer questions on her behalf.
“We have other plans now,” Benson said, without elaborating on what Brewer would be doing Sunday night.
Benson did confirm that Brewer would attend the Monday White House meeting.
Earlier this week, Brewer declined an invitation by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to testify before the Senate regarding the immigration law, which is pending before the Supreme Court.
Sorry. I live with her ridiculous crap. You may need a Margarita now…that counteracts the ignorant, anti immigrant spew from this woman. In fact, you may need A FEW!
When she found out that Black and Hispanic people were invited guests she probably said um….no. Or she’s probably too scared to look FLOTUS in the eye. Bloody scumbag.
Hag of a harridan describes her beautifully. I don’t know why taxpayers in AZ even want to pay for the trip if she’s not going to work with the President.
The wicked runneth when no one pursueth!…of course why would she want to be in the same social event with the President after the hell she got for pointing that witchy, bony finger at him. She will be sorely missed…NOT!!.
This wicked woman needs to stay away from all of us. She can take her ugly arse and place it back in the dark space from which she comes from in her core. Who needs her presence in such lovely company.
So she only attend “policy” meetings? Really. She does not attend ‘social gathering at all as a governor? What a lying sack of crap.
I need to stop now because this witch is upsetting me. I am nice, but do not get on the side of me that will tear the hairs off of the head. That is why I have to stay in prayer and meditation. I can’t stomach evil like the likes of this woman. Just can’t especially after what she did to POB. That was too much for me. I lived through that crap, and I have zero patience for this type of covered over hate. Plain and simple.
That is why I have to stay close to my quiet time, because I have never shed so many tears centered around this President, Barack Obama,as I have since growing up in this southern crap during my childhood and young life., as I have since POB’s election. It is painful. It is only my precious mother’s spirit within me and AlmightyGod’s Spirit that keeps me from hating and not loving those who do these evils today.(I am speaking of what I feel is a Higher Power than I can ever be, but I have practiced for many, many years how to draw from that inner sweetness that keeps me going)
You’re a wonder, HZ! I’d love to learn to love and forgive this way because my blood pressure is always on full alert when fools like that Brewer witch let fly with their vile shyte! It’s all I can do to stay composed—well, mostly, I try to avoid msm and sites that get me riled, but sometimes, I just must turn away from the ugly, and of course, I come here for the solace of everyone’s positive company.
Stay well, Hz, you are special and in the embrace of our Higher Power.
sorry, hz, i hadn’t read your post, and the way mine follows it, you might think i’m making light of your feelings. not one bit. but i am making light of jan brewery, because she is a fly for pbo to swat. everything she does makes her look bad, and him look even better. so if you need a reason to keep a loving heart about her, just remember–she’s shining a light every day on how wonderful our pbo is!
Most likely, in simplest terms, she has shamed herself with that inexcusable behavior, now doesn’t dare show her face in a social situation where she KNOWS both PBO and FLOTUS will be their genuinely gracious and forgiving selves towards her, welcoming her to the WH as they will do with all invited. Too bad for her, I don’t feel one bit sorry for her. She is a grown after all.
“I also faced a Supreme Court in my state that said John Adams had written into our constitution a right to marriage between people of the same gender. And I became the nation’s champion to reverse that with an amendment in our state. We were on progress to do that until I saw a Democrat take over the governor’s office. And then we also had the legislature pass a bill saying we will allow cloning and embryo farming in our state. They wanted to change the definition of when life began. And I stood up and said absolutely not and I vetoed that legislation. I am a pro-life governor — I was a pro-life governor and I’m still a pro-life candidate. I was a pro-traditional marriage governor and am so as a candidate and I am a conservative. “

Ms. “point her fingers in PBO’s face loser” will also skip the WH dinner for the Governors. The story is on Huffpo.
WASHINGTON — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R), in town for the National Governors Association conference, will skip a White House dinner Sunday honoring the nation’s governors, telling staff she does not want to participate in a “social” event.
The dinner, an annual event hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, is one of the conference’s highlights. Brewer’s decision comes a month after she dramatically confronted the president at a Phoenix area airport over his response to her portrayal of him in her book.
Well, either she doesn’t want to look the incredibly classy First Lady in the eyes after her sophomoric stunt, or this is just another diss of the First Family. Personally, I think it’s both.
Our fantastic president and first lady have been dissed by far classier people than the Arkansas Witch of Endor. I’m sure PBO will chuckle and dust another spec off his shoulder.
I’m sure her endorsement is eagerly awaited in all Republican presidential camps. The excitement is palpable and they’re all hoping she’ll campaign beside them in all her loveliness. Maybe one of them will be inspired enough to name her for their VP.
Since they will lose anyway, guess they have nothing to lose. But we all know the word smith from wasilla will fight her to the death for that dubious honor, second time around the failure block.
Once Mitt accepted Trump’s rabid endorsement, all bets were off for how low they could go. It’s definitely a race to the bottom. All the GOP “stars” are scumbags and crazy. That’s what makes them celebrities in the eyes of their racist followers.
OT…I saw this on a friend’s facebook page; maybe some of you may have seen it before, but the last entry made me LOL.
HOW TO PROPERLY PLACE NEW EMPLOYEES . . .
1. Put 400 bricks in a closed room.
2. Put your new hires in the room and close the door.
3. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours.
4. Then analyze the situation:
a. If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.
b. If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.
c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.
d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.\
e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.
f. If they are sleeping, put them in Security.
g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.
h. If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.
i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.
j. If they have already left for the day, put them in Management.
k. If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.
l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in Top Management.
m. Finally, if they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, put them in Congress.
Mr. Jim Messina
Campaign Manager
Obama for America
Dear Mr. Messina:
Because every American has the right to take part in the public discourse on matters that affect the future of our country, I feel compelled to respond directly about a fundraising letter you sent out on February 24 denouncing Koch. It is both surprising and disappointing that the President would allow his re-election team to send such an irresponsible and misleading letter to his supporters.
For example, it is false that our “business model is to make millions by jacking up prices at the pump.” Our business vision begins and ends with value creation — real, long-term value for customers and for society. We own no gasoline stations and the part of our business you allude to, oil and gas refining, actually lowers the price of gasoline by increasing supply. Either you simply misunderstand the way commodities markets work or you are misleading your supporters and the rest of the American people.
Contrary to your assertion that we have “committed $200 million to try to destroy President Obama,” we have stated publicly and repeatedly since last November that we have never made any such claim or pledge. It is hard to imagine that the campaign is unaware of our publicly stated position on that point. Similarly, Americans for Prosperity is not simply “funded by the Koch brothers,” as you state — rather it has tens of thousands of members and contributors from across the country and from all walks of life. Further, our opposition to this President’s policies is not based on partisan politics but on principles. Charles Koch and David Koch have been outspoken advocates of the free-market for over 50 years and they have consistently opposed policies that frustrate or subvert free markets, regardless of whether a Democrat or a Republican was President.
If the President’s campaign has some principled disagreement with the arguments we are making publicly about the staggering debt the President and previous administrations have imposed on the country, the regulations that are stifling business growth and innovation, the increasing intrusion of government into nearly every aspect of American life, we would be eager to hear them. But it is an abuse of the President’s position and does a disservice to our nation for the President and his campaign to criticize private citizens simply for the act of engaging in their constitutional right of free speech about important matters of public policy. The implication in that sort of attack is obvious: dare to criticize the President’s policies and you will be singled out and personally maligned by the President and his campaign in an effort to chill free speech and squelch dissent.
This is not the first time that the President and his Administration have engaged in this sort of disturbing behavior. As far back as August, 2010, Austan Goolsbee, then the President’s chief economic advisor, made public comments concerning Koch’s tax status and falsely stated that the company did not pay income tax, which triggered a federal investigation into Mr. Goolsbee’s conduct that potentially implicated federal law against improper disclosure of taxpayer information. Last June, your colleagues sent fundraising letters disparaging us as “plotting oil men” bent on “misleading people” with “disinformation” in order to “smear” the President’s record. Those accusations were baseless and were made at the very same time the president was publicly calling for a more “civil conversation” in the country.
It is understandable that the President and his campaign may be “tired of hearing” that many Americans would rather not see the president re-elected. However, the inference is that you would prefer that citizens who disagree with the President and his policies refrain from voicing their own viewpoint. Clearly, that’s not the way a free society should operate.
We agree with the President that civil discourse is an American strength. That is why it is troubling to see a national political campaign apparently target individual citizens and private companies for some perceived political advantage. I also hope the President will reflect on how the approach the campaign is using is at odds with our national values and the constitutional right to free speech.
Sincerely,
Philip Ellender

Oh, the poor little Koch brothers are “troubled.” For the first time in their privileged lives, they are being exposed in all their evil. For years, they’ve thrived in the shadows like rats in the walls, carefully undermining the US while hiding their intentions. Their blatant efforts to destroy the Obama administration and undermine the democratic foundations of states where there are Republican governors have brought them into the sunlight and they can’t take the heat. These repulsive brothers are among the most anti-American, subversive players in the country. They would willingly bring down the country and the whole concept of democracy for their own profit. I’d love to see them go down in history among the biggest traitors of all time. Hell is too comfortable a place for them.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL. THOSE PEOPLE ARE TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY OFF THE CLIFF. JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tally needs to respond to that letter.
Romney to make final case in MI on the 50-yard line of the Big House surrounded by 200 students with nothing to do for spring break.— Jesse Taylor (@jesseltaylor) February 25, 2012
seriously? again? how much are they paying the kids? The kids should demand $1000 per minute they have to sit there bored out of their evah lovin’ miiiiiiiinds.
The kkkoch letter Sounds like bs because they are being exposed for what they are: a bunch of rich old farts who tried to run for president and did not win even when they minted their own money. So they disburse all of this hateful money to puppet man Grover Norquist who shells it out to whomever swears to this KKK oath against the country.
And you want to talk about “freedom of speech”? If that is true, why whisk all of your kiss-assers away to a secret hideaway secluded place to plan your secret agendas and give your nods of approvals to the see how your evil money is being used to further take down this country because as rich as they are no one would vote for either brother nor Donald Trump for dog catcher U.S.A.
Robmey need not think about applying for that job after the 2016 election either……..for obvious reasons.
Before the election of this president, I never heard of the KKK brothers or Grover. For decades they have built this evil empire with all of their money and tney cannot run for even Mayor. So they buy them…….fund tea baggers show downs promote hate and ignorance. All in the name of being true loving and caring Americans.
Speaking of exposing Government-for-Sale, there’s an article in Forbes about Sheldon Adelson. Adelson has made more money during the Obama presidency than ANYONE. More than Bill Gates, the late Steve Jobs – anyone. And it’s not enough.
NO, Republicans, same sex marriage and birth control are not what threatens America. It’s. Koch/Adelson/Romney who have damaged our country and now want to kill it.
Oh my goodness…I just briefly switched to CSPAN where Santorum and Romney are feverishly campaigning for the top spot on Tuesday. What a sad bunch. Santorum is angry as hell and getting angrier by the hour, and Romney is just frantic and uninspiring. If I had a dollar for the number of times I’ve heard “This President..” in Romney’s speeches, I would be able to retire!
Jan Brewer will make a presidential endorsement by Tuesday. WOW..I pity the recipient of this distinct “honor.” Good luck with the Latino vote in the General Election
“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is f.ascism–ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.”
Happy Happy Everybody!
Congratulations Queen Dudette!!!!!!!!
Thank you Dame Chips!
Dame Chips indeed. Make it so.
Dame? I like that. Me and Edna:
Chipsticks, I almost dropped my miso soup when this photo popped onto my screen – HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Well alrighty Dame Chips & Dame Edna – quite a pair
Oh…my bad….I thought that was Rudy Giuliani. !
Hahahahahaha. Dame Edna might spank your ass for comparing her to Rudy.
Time for the Depends when those two get started! Yikes….
Hahahahahaha! I actually had the likes of Judi Dench and Helen Mirren in mind, but okay… uh, sure Edna works!
Yeah me too.
Someone showed a PBO a video clip of Romney trying to do one of Rahm’s ballet routines…that’s what made him erupt in laughter as we see in this pic!

Wait.
Dowager?
Is that not an old and wrinkly and angry looking lady?
eg:
LOL! Don’t make me laugh so hard… my stomach already hurts!
methinks this is my cousin cc’s maiden auntie?
Duchass Dowager…… somone is watching Downton.
Nah, Anastasia was on a few days ago [the one with Yul Brynner and Ingrid Bergman]
I hear Downton’s good though. I need to check it out!
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDEEEEEEEETTTEEEEE!
It’s beyond good. It’s had the higest market share of ANYTHING EVER on PBS.
You can stream all of season 1 on Netflix.
Get crackin Amiga!!!

Okay, I will.
problem: no more episodes! till whenever!
With Shirley MacLane as Cora’s American mother. Dame Maggie and Shirley share the screen. I can’t wait.

I cannot wait to see what those 2 cook up for us!! And poor Mr. Bates. He must be freed!! I have a feeling there’s a lot more to learn about him. And his wife…….
When the court hears about Mrs Bates stealing from the military, Mr Bates will get an accomodation……
I watched Season 1 of Downton Abbey on Netflix and now want to see Season 2 but it is in process. I don’t want to see it out of order so will need to wait till it is on Netflix too.
Downton Abbey is the BEST. You will get addicted for sure, I am my 24yr old son, and husband also!
I’ve heard many good things about it…I’ve been avoiding it for fear that I will get addicted to yet another show
On second thought,I might take a peek tomorrow!
Oh, HF, you WILL be addicted to it after only one viewing, but be sure to watch from the beginning, not from the end…. It will make a huge difference…. Fantastic storyline, fantastic acting, as only the Brits can offer!
Eh, congratulations Pamela
Well, soon to be 110th, no matter, at least I can type today! LOVED the Rev Carpet video, hilarious!

I can’t see it either Pamela. I keep refreshing, but nothing but the little box appears. I wonder what Chipsticks put there??????
I dunno, but it was either HUGE and wonderful or XXX rated and the Internet won’t permit it to be seen by us innocent types!
LOL!!!! Oh My!
To all our Democratic friends in MI: Vote Santorum!
How Serious Is The Democratic Crossover Vote Threat In Michigan?
I don’t think the cross-over voting has ever had an effect. Previously, the only people I know who have done it have been trying to get a more moderate Republican on the ballot just in case. I know a few people who are talking about doing it now, and they don’t know what to do because there really is no good candidate. They’re evenly split between people voting for Santorum because they think he’s the easier one to beat in the general, and people voting for Romney because they are petrified that Santorum might even possibly in the furthest most reaches of probability win the election.
Oh,I plan to. Since Mittens getting help from his new BF, Dr Paul, ♪♫ Frothy Santorum ♫♪ all the way. Payback for George Wallace in ’72.
That Rev Al and his producers put out a creative and informative show time and time again!
It’s really time to bring everyone back from Afghanistan. This is a big waste of lives. I really hope that this would be the first thing PBO does after the election. Just bring them all back and let speical forces to do their thing.
I could not agree more, BWD.
I’m with you. 1000000000000000000000000000000% x ∞
Then we can Seal Team / MI-6-ish everything from then on. Far more efficient and cost effective.
(Yes, I watch too much TV.)
BWD…
You think that the President stays in Afganistan because he is afraid of the RW and the media….
why do you think rhat…
YEAH…WHY IS HE ‘ AFRAID’….EXPLAIN PLEASE!!!!
Yes let me join in, why is this President afraid of the Republicans and the media. Could it possible be there are information we don’t know about. It’s so easy to make comments looking from the outside.
me too. I would like to know.
AGREED.
I’m with you guys too, fear of the Republicans and media, that’s B.S.
Right there with you.
Fear of the US fake msm, republican nut jobs, and wanting to be reelected President is not a factor. Not even close.
Let the media flail..we don’t have to flail with them.
you are right about that hopefruit2.
It’s a big ship, it cannot be turned around on a dime. It is turning, and the tides are rising. Yardarm, help me out here with some visuals… PBO is getting it done.
*steps in as Boatswain in the Capt’n's absence…
The tide waits for no man.
A bonny lass now and again, but no man.
*sigh* That is so fail. Best I leave that up to the real seamen.
Not fail, tally, that was gallant of you!
Feel better, Yardarm!
I’m okay. My wife was the problem but it.s all good now. Thanks.
My best regards to your wife, good to know she is okay.
Good thoughts coming to you and your wife, yardarm756. ((((((((Hugs of healing)))))))))HZ
Bless you.
THIS.
Yes, there are mindless deaths on the American and Afghanistan fronts and it is heartbreaking but I trust PBO’s foreign policy chops and not the blinkered 30 second sound bite of the msm.
yup yup yup
yes–pbo has the good info, and the good people to advise him. we can trust him with this. he’s got it.
also, it’s instructive to look at the us aid website, and see the projects in afghanistan , focusing on nation-building via school-building, road-building, and agricultural co-op building. the shift away from ground troops is a shift toward building friends there. not quick and easy, not a sound-bite project, and maybe not even do-able. but, like so much pbo has taken on, the right thing.
i’ll link to their page on women’s health care, just to give an idea.
http://www.usaid.gov/locations/afghanistanpakistan/countries/afghanistan/ams2010.html
Thanks for the link susanne. This is good to know.
As you’ve said many times, he remains the only adult in the room, and nothing is going to change between now and November 2012 that will convince us otherwise.
yes, yes, yes!!!
This.
YES!
A Great Afternoon to all my subjects. I’ve just returned from my royal subjugation to the Zumba godess.
Did you have to clean the stove, too?
Of course not dear, I leave to my minions!
Hi tod’ers. waving from dubai again. It’s frigging midnight (almost) here.
so what did I miss ?
Same crazy RW shit, different day
Their new motto: OCCUPY VAGINAS! NOT COLLEGE!
so peak wingnut is a f..king mirage then ? It keeps moving furthah and furthah and we nevah hit it ?
Some idiot with a law degree and and MBA is calling PBO a “snob” for wanting kids to go to university.
lil ricky sanatorium ?
Of course. You win the prize!!! Chips, present the man with his “Santorium” prize, will you? How are you. amk?
Does that come with wet wipes?
Wet wipes AND degreaser!
As if I am not nutz enough already.
I am fine, df but dead tired. All that burt sert hunting takes it out of you, I tell ya.
I’ll just bet!
He might be living proof that education is wasted on some…. Wonder who paid for his schooling?
Hey, amk! (high five from Seattle)
Hey amk, where’s the birt’ sert?
Hi amk, from the vast bastion of intellectualism that is the State of Georgia!
Hi Pamela, hf2 and dudette
birt sert thingy is under negotiation with trumpster and orly. I am holding out for a yacht and a free dental appointment.
Just wait till “we” spring the november surprise !!!
I’m shaking in my sneakers right this minute, amk. I’m so scared of what your intrepid investigation will turn up. Will we all survive?
Best of luck with the free dental care!
trumpster is a great dentist.
Also. Too.
Ever see the movie “Little Shop of Horrors” with Rick Moranis? I picture Trump as a dentist rather like the Steve Martin kind of dentist…know what I mean?
Ouch. You really hate me, don’t you ?
No
Just popped into my mind…actually, I was more about Trump..than you
I was thinking more of Laurence Oliviet in Marathon Man.
Free dental….
HAAAAAAAAAAA!
Yes, but Georgia Dems commissioned that incredible VOTE 2012 print of PBO….
Yes, iindeed! That thing is so cool, it STINGS! Look at my damn President!

Our President is da’ BOMB! That video was cool. Mitt is so out of sync with people. Does he even click well with his family or are they as air-headed and scatterbrained as he is? Gingrich is pure evil. Icky Santorum is a phony with man-boobs. Yes, I said this.

OMG! I must share this with you guys…
On my way home from the gym this afternoon, there was this random group of like 5 people standing on the corner of a main intersection holding up Santorum signs. They were competing for attention with the 3 dudes in costume trying to get people to come to the Smoothie King. That was the more surreal thing I’ve seen in quite a while.
were you able to get a pic? Sounds hysterical.
Wish I’d thought of that at the time, nospin. I just burst into laughter and turned the corner.
Does that mean that Smoothy King” has shitty smoothies? Just askin’…
Hahaha! It might be.
Dipshit. I detest this trailer trash gov.

OH GODS!!!
MAH EEEEEEYYYYYYEEEZZZZ!!!
Bloody scumbag.
ut – you’re strangely subduded today. tell us how reeealy feel about that racist hag of a harridan.
Hag of a harridan describes her beautifully. I don’t know why taxpayers in AZ even want to pay for the trip if she’s not going to work with the President.
So ef-ing what? Nobody cares.
She’s in town to collect some Eye of Newt for her next potion!
It’s entirely possible that she is only let out of the psych ward during the daytime.
The wicked runneth when no one pursueth!…of course why would she want to be in the same social event with the President after the hell she got for pointing that witchy, bony finger at him. She will be sorely missed…NOT!!.
Brewer’s scurred of what a Dem with drink in hand will really tell her about herself. I don’t blame her for deciding not to attend. HA!
Stay well, Hz, you are special and in the embrace of our Higher Power.
jan brewery won’t attend a social event because she does her drinking alone. can’t be trusted in public, anyway.
sorry, hz, i hadn’t read your post, and the way mine follows it, you might think i’m making light of your feelings. not one bit. but i am making light of jan brewery, because she is a fly for pbo to swat. everything she does makes her look bad, and him look even better. so if you need a reason to keep a loving heart about her, just remember–she’s shining a light every day on how wonderful our pbo is!
Brewer can’t attend a social event because she can’t find a decent dress to go with the broomstick. Accessorizing is hard.
She is a grown after all.
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/mitt-romney-touts-opposition-to-gay-marriage-cloning I seriously hope that he runs so far to the right that he falls off the cliff along with the rest of them. Bon Voyage!
OMG…..Word Salad or what ? From your link
Linda, maybe this is why the people of Massachusetts were thrilled to see him hit the exit door.
BuzzFeedAndrew RT @jeffzeleny: Gov Jan Brewer of Arizona says she will endorse presidential candidate tomorrow. Who? “I’m pondering,” she says.

Pondering?? Like this???
Governor Scunt Brewer can take her dried up vagina into a cave please.
yes please.
Only Tally pull off a diss like this without a 4-letter word….damn!
Holla!
…with vampire bats
Awesome post.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Tally you tell that witch!
Oh, Tally, my beautiful one, Thank you, thank you. You said what I could not put into words. You are brilliant.HZ
Our fantastic president and first lady have been dissed by far classier people than the Arkansas Witch of Endor. I’m sure PBO will chuckle and dust another spec off his shoulder.
But PBO is divisive? Do any of them even pretend to take governance seriously?
Bet all 4 of the loser candidates are praying it ain’t him, they all have enough problems without her worthless endorsement.
You’ve left out the most important thing. The bricks are, in reality, the rwnj morans.
Totally agree on that one.
And if they’ve painted graffiti on the bricks, put them in PR. Good list, Uche
Ok gang – gotta go do this script reading thingie – back later.
Looks like the Koch’s are crybabies.
A Letter to the Obama Campaign
Mr.

David Koch has ties to Reason Foundation. That stuck out cuz there was a dude from Reason Magazine on Chris Haye’s show this morning.
They’re libertarians I believe.
And yada yada yada, and so in and so forth…. Took him an awful lot of paragraphs to say a whole lot of nothing.
Yeah, I stopped reading at the halfway mark. All lies – they can pretend to be above board, but they’re not fooling anybody. Scum of the earth.
#PRESSON
You need a block of cheese to go with the whine in that letter.
The Kochs & Rove can take their dried up old shriveled ball sacs into a cave please.
That cave is gonna get awfully crowded!!!
and smelly!
We should all send them a letter…with two letters on it F and U!
Not nice JoJo. You need to be more dignified. Tell them to ahhh, Go have sex with themselves! Has a ring to it. Doesn’t it?
Oooh alright…..:)
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL. THOSE PEOPLE ARE TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY OFF THE CLIFF. JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tally needs to respond to that letter.
Kind of thin skinned for people who think they can run the World…..
seriously? again? how much are they paying the kids? The kids should demand $1000 per minute they have to sit there bored out of their evah lovin’ miiiiiiiinds.
Ha! Where’s the retweet for this?
Like I said above…… The Kochs & Rove can take their dried up old shriveled ball sacs into a cave please.
Now I must have food.
They can keep Gov Scunt Brewer company in said cave.
“They have a cave troll.”
Apparently the GOP breeds them.
They want Isreal to start a war with Iran, and want to corner our POTUS into backing it. THAT is what this is all about.
Slave Labor – Money trail leads to Koch Brothers and Conservatives who want your job!
This is a huge diary….but about 3 inches down on the slide is this.
“In 2007 President Bush was put on the hot seat by Koch Industries due to ICE raiding Koch Foods in Ohio. ”

My nephew is an ICE agent and he was in training when this went down….he said they were all talking about it at the training facility in Georgia.
Jan Brewer will make a presidential endorsement by Tuesday. WOW..I pity the recipient of this distinct “honor.” Good luck with the Latino vote in the General Election

Up Next on C-spin. Greenwald’s BFF, Libertarian Buddy Roemer.
“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is f.ascism–ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.”
