I just love Bo. I am so glad Senator Kennedy gave him to the Obama family, because it wouldn’t be the same without Bo.

        • March 2, 2012 at 12:04 am

I always thought that was one of the nicest things Senator Kennedy did before he died. I think he well knew he wouldn’t be around much longer & wanted the Obamas to have a companion and watch dog to help them through their days. I admit that I am a total goof for any fur child but Bo is really special.

Indeed, Lisa. Bo has a perfect temperament for the perfect temperament of our wonderful President. Remember when Brian Williams was taping at the WH with POTUS and FLOTUS, infact the major players at the WH, and FLOTUS and Bo came out to meet POTUS and Brian, and POB said that Bo has a beautiful temperament.

Bo, IMO, is the most loveable First Dog. He loves people as well. I will always love Sen. Kennedy and Vickie for this beautiful gift. Axe loves Bo as well. He said he really wants a dog now after seeing how beautiful, loving, and well behave Bo is as our First Dog.HZ

Welcome To Santorum’s Topsy Turvy World

    ===================================

But to the GOP – and Santorum – their contrariness is a virtue. They know better than everyone else what is morally right. They honestly, truly believe they are the arbiters of morality. In their world, there is only black and white, and up is really down. It’s why they have to continually tie themselves into highly convoluted pretzels just to try to justify their stance on any issue. They want government out of people’s lives, unless it’s their reproductive system. They want to cut the deficit, unless it actually means cutting the deficit. They want to cut spending, unless it’s for a war they want to wage, in which case, they spend without regard to paying. Ever.

Wonder if his wives use birth control? Maybe they don’t do anything because he can’t get it up.. It is said that he goes to the Dominican Republic and carries a suitcase of condoms and that he favors young boys. I had a visual in my head of him doing the horizontal strokes with them . Now I need to go shower.

Does anyone think it’s strange how Santorum’s daughter is always in every shot of him, sometimes even more prominently than his wife? It’s almost as though someone has decided to use her to draw either the youth vote or the male vote the way Huntsman appeared to be using his daughters to generate interest in his sad little campaign. The first time I saw her I thought she was cute and that she looked like her father, but now because her father is such a wackjob when I look at her I don’t see her anymore I just see him with lipstick and long hair.

    • March 1, 2012 at 10:03 pm

Yeah, I think it just what you wrote and I have noticed her being more prominent.

She definitely looks so much like him it is like looking at Santorum in a dress.

Night :) She had me up until the parade….you are not alone!

      • March 2, 2012 at 1:56 am

Good Night desertflower. I am with you on Rachel. She made my heart move faster than one of my attacks, so I had to let her go when she got on POB about the parade thing. She pisses me off when she goes on about it. I wish she would let it rest and honor the call of the Pentagon and POB . He shared with Bob Woodruff last evening his feelings when Bob asked the question of him. I respect his decision and the Pentagon’s.

She could really get the viewers that she wants, if she had taken her call into another level of how we all could respect our troops’ returning. This could be “A Country Showing Appreciation.” Then when all is home, we can have a parade.

I could see towns and cities all over the country having a “date night” for our troops and their spouse. Invite our local eateries in each state to donate their restaurants, lounges, music halls, theaters, concert halls to open up for one night with everything on the house. Then her viewers could donate a dinner, movie tickets and dinner, basketball game and dinner, broadway show and dinner, Sunday Brunch with family, town picnics with town and city halls sponsoring the food and entertainment for a weekend.

Beauty salon and spa treatments for family, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, cable companies, donating repair service for homes that have been neglected because of spouses were not able to be home to make some much needed repairs. Gutter cleaners service donated. Companies donated shopping sprees for clothing for the families for the spring. Some families may need a new automobile to get around, so have car dealers go in together and give out a limited number of cars for those needed families.

Sat. breakfasts and a gift from their our local hardware stores, local Macy’s to get a gift for the house, bed and bath gift baskets for their homes, furniture stores donating a home furnishing piece, local water companies picking up a two three month water or gas bill, grocery stores donating 250.00 dollars of groceries for a year, a car mechanic repair for a family car of at least 500.00, a retailer donating home appliances for the families, etc. School supplies and bookstores donating books and supplies for a year to each family. Enrollments for students in a sport, a year of piano lessons, dance lessons, healthy cooking classes from famous chefs a duration of time, donating musical instruments and lessons for 1 full year to children who have not been able to do so because mom or dad were away fighting for us.

Anything that would lighten the load for the family readjusting into the family’s home again with new and durable goods and services. Cleaning service for a home for a month. Phone service for at least two months, a computer for the family with internet service for a year. And the list could go on and be generous. These brave men and women were generous with their lives in their commitment to keep us safe. It may sound way out there, but nothing is way out there when you put your life on the line over and over in duties daily for all of us. Really., Yes, really.

She is smart and many times good, but she is too ‘in your face’ on this one,and I do not like that type of attitude. It gets on my nerves. I just want her to back off. Encourage a nation to get involved at this point to help and give back where it really counts. Then we can all step back and have our wonderful parade for all of our service/men/women when they All are finish.HZ

          March 2, 2012 at 8:11 am

HZ :) I just adore you. This is the best idea ever! So thoughtful. May we use this? I think that you ought to send her an email…just cut and paste this!!! I think that it’s something that the entire country could get behind….and mend some fences after all the nasty vitriolic banter. If we all got involved, and pushed this idea to make it happen in all of our towns and cities…..I think you’re on to something here! If anyone has a VA in their town, that would be a good place to start….OFA people may be willing to get the ball rolling….community outreach organizations….

Send this to her. Seriously. I love your heart….I hope you’re well. Big hugs :)

I do believe that we can get something good out of this and it would be so good to come from our family here. Please, please use it, Desertflower. If you have the knowledge to help, please use whatever part (s) that you think is important.

You all are such sweet and beautiful real spirits on this site. Let us help in anyway that we can. Thank you.((((((((Hugs)))))))))HZ

I still up theo67. Rachel has me up again tonight. Chips is going to put me out of here with my long comments above, but I have seen big and wonderful things happen , and even helped to make it happen when everyone was stuck on base one. We need to get Rachel off of 1st base.

Organization , compassion, commitments, and a strong will can do a lot of good. I saw 16 homes built in a city by a very small, but dedicated group of people with a vision. I never built a home, but we put our minds together, went into the communities of several well known cities within a great state and made it happen.

Now, I know we can pull a nation together within our states, cities, towns and give some love to some beautiful and wonderful people. Yes, we are going through hard times, but great things are built and accomplish through hard times. Plus, we can bring a nation together.

Just think about what we all do each day, week, month, year for ourselves. Then think how each of us can reach out within our home places and go out and ask for the help to do something that will last for our returning troops. “Can’t Does Not Reside In My Spirit.”HZ

What annoyed me about the Sheriff is that the national news is actually broadcasting the results of his study saying the bc is a computer generated fraud as well as his selective service papers. They can’t ever let it go regardless of the proof. That is inline with the rag papers talking of the alien babies born after the space ship came down.

Attended a home phone banking and results were great. I do not know if POB being here in New York helped. But tonight, ppl were over generously happy, eager to volunteer, even pleading for us to call them back.

What truly surprised me is that I used my own personal phone and I got as well as others, ppl calling us back after we were enroute for home.
It was very different, in a nice way. I believe even some republicans wanted to hear more information and kept us on the phone much longer with serious questions. This is the change that we are hoping for, right? I was so perplexed, I left my charger….darn it!

But it was worth it…..something is in the air. But we all were on the same page after discussing the events and that is we must not get relaxed and take this for granted because the cheating and game change plans by the REAL REPUGS is going to get down right dirty. We are committed to hang on, hold on to one another. It is not going to be pretty. Real change is not pretty at all. I can only imagine what Nelson Mandella, Dr.MLK, Ghandi, Rosa Parks, Mother Theresa and others had to endure behind the scenes when there was no one looking. What courage!

I was proud to take the train all the way to BK and back to Harlem tonight knowing our President was in town working hard for us.
Ms. Chips, that 8 million will go up by tomorrow. I shared a piece of heaven with at least ten more ppl.

    Congratulaiptions. You deserve it.
It is an honor to be here. I appreciate everyone who shares and even the lurkers. I used to be one……lurk on. You are welcome here.
    Sweet sleep everyone.

This is such excellent and positive news, and a great way to wrap up the evening! Nice job with the phone banking. I did my first phone bank a few weeks back, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Sounds like your evening was uber-successful. Nice. Sleep tight.

That’s such good news, LDS! I could hear the excitement in your words…and feel the change. Republicans that think are going to need a hug and a place to come to…..those crazies only suit a select few. You did good :)

So I was curious to see how Morning Joke was doing in the morning ratings… he is tanking lol.
Ummm, lol apparently no one want to drink their morning cup coffee while watching pundit hate to start their day.
Morning Joke hasn’t been able get above 400,000 viewers for a while now. MSNBC beat CNN on Tuesday night.

The Ed Show beat Rachel Maddow for first time in the ratings last night I believe.

Theo67, thank you. But I could not do it if I did not have the opportunity to come here with all of this valuable information, wisdom, wit and humor.
When you have been blessed………you pass it on. Keep at the phone banking. I have experienced being asked out on dates, phone slammed down, kids crying in the background. You name it, but this is not about just me or us. This is for generations to come.
Finally, a man in the People’s House who cares……really is concerned. Tired of the games and BS, greed and evil ways of thinking up more ways to be evil. There comes a time when your whole core feels enough is enough!

Hate is self-destructive. The heart is not meant to take that sooner or later, something has to give.
Look how well our President and his lovely wife photographs. They are so in tune with each other, the love spreads to us here.
    That is truly amazing!

Desertflower, thanks. I am excited and tired. I have been up since 6:00 a.m. and I should be out. But for some reason, after viewing the video of POB in the cold and snow, then in New York. That just energized me! He makes it look so easy and effiortless.
Why would anyone vote for anyone else, I cannot understand. I have stopped trying to and just accept the fact that a remnant will be left behind. They cannot say we did not try. Too much facts and progress out there to say. And then our Preaident goes VISUAL…….enough said.

I do blame the media for trying to keep us ignorant and fearful, stressed doubting one another. We have a President who tells us that we Re in this together. And I am my sister’s keeper, my brother’s keeper. Simple basic truth.

    No hype, dear TODers.

This is serious. We must prevail, massively, on 6 Nov 2012. No 2nd chances. #LandslideOBAMA2012 Let’s GET This DONE!

Greed, hate, supremacy are the only ‘values’ these creatures possess:

Forgive if you see these messages many times between now and 6 Nov 2012 – the day we must WIN the Civil War, affirm our Bill of Rights & become the America that countless millions gave their lives to perfect.

YES! I just read this: http://www.opednews.com/articles/The-Jeb-Scenario-Can-You-by-Russ-Baker-120301-79.html. SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I listened to some of Thom Hartman yesterday and he is saying the same thing.

O/T: I posted this update at the very end of the thread last night. My brother and I met with Hospice yesterday regarding our mother. My brother has the MPOA so he signed all the papers. She is out of the hospital and back at the AL facility. We said “No” to a pacemaker–for a 94 year old with dementia and confined to wheelchair…….and she keeps saying she wants to go to heaven or some variation of that…..has been saying that for months and months. The Hospice nurse ‘guesses’ 3-6 months.

My heart is filled with peace to come your way, tnmtngirl. I pray that that will be granted to you, your precious Mom the gracious healing comfort of her God to gently hold her presence in the most comforting way.

May you and your brother find the perfect peace to handle whatever decisions you both will have to make. Know that you are in my thoughts, my prayers and meditations and in my candle space. Be gentle with your spirits. Have a peaceful day, tnmtngirl.(((((Hugs))))))HZ
