It seems to me that Romney looks normal on top and weird with his jeans as if the jeans are what makes him average. It seems to me that he is wearing the same pair of jeans as they are rumpled and wrinkled but the shirts seem pressed. It shows up especially when he wears the jeans with a suit jacket. I liken it to his flip flop personality of trying to be comfortable and casual at the same time as being presidential and more formal.
The ESPN interview w/ POTUS was cute.. I loved how the interviewer- Clark? kept patting Pres O on the shoulder/back. Obvious love & respect for our President from ESPN.

Slightly off topic, but kind of related – loved this video from last year or so. It just shows the difference between Romney talking sports and President Obama intelligently and effortly talking sports. And I liked it because the President just got to talk about something he cares about, with a respectful interviewer. And when President Obama talks about the team owner he knew, it doesn’t come off as sounding elitist, like Romney. He’s brilliant, as usual.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, a tweet from King’s account linked to an eight minute video of a ride-along with a “fugitive task force” including U.S. marshals on Monday. It showed King, the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, joining police as they broke down doors and arrested a suspected fugitive. The video carried the logo of the “Manhunters” reality TV show and featured one of its stars, marshals commander Lenny DePaul.
After TPM made inquiries about the video with King’s office, it was marked “private” and no longer available to the public on YouTube. Later, the video was removed from YouTube entirely.

Well, Kay, these teams are playing for the right to be in the main tournament. So, they’re not exactly best of the best. I really don’t understand why the NCAA felt it necessary to expand the field from 64 to 68. More money, I guess, but it dilutes the competition.
Well, it *is* the tournament, but it *isn’t*. It used to be that the NCAA would pick 64 teams and then the tourney would start. Then they expanded it to 65 teams, and the 65th and 64th teams would play to see who could stay in the big show. Now it’s 68 teams, so we have today’s games. The real tournament starts Thursday. Today’s games are to see who gets to stay on into the big show. It’s quite lame.
And the fact that it’s on a cable channel that a lot of people don’t have means these games can’t be making much money. Again, go back to 64 and start the damned tournament.
Regarding polls…..Reuters is probably as close to right as possible. I mentioned this on the previous post….but at the very end. From what I remember from four years ago, the polls the Obama campaign accepted were their own. Theirs were accurate to a % of a point. That is why they knew to ready the big celebration in Chicago, not to hold back. The only people who dwell on the others are the “pundits.” Axelrod, Messina and Plouffe know what’s what.

Theo, Cameron’s as stiff as a plank of extremely hard wood. Despite him being a Conservative I almost don’t loathe the fella, but when he comes in to contact with real people he does what my Firefox did most of today: freezes.
Compared to Romney, Cameron is cool and loose as a goose. If he were next to Willard in a crowd, all the charisma would be on Cameron’s side and yes, he is as stiff as a plank of wood and would probably not move the dial on the charisma scale.

(CBS/AP) It’s time for your close-up, NASDAQ. Just two weeks after the Dow reclaimed 13,000, the NASDAQ finally closed above 3,000 (3,039.88, to be exact) for the first time since Dec. 11, 2000.
Of course then the tech-heavy index was on its way down from its all-time high of 5048.62 on March 10, 2000, almost exactly 12 years ago. The first time the index crossed the 3,000 threshold was November 1999 and today’s market feels about a million miles removed from those halcyon days. Funny how two market crashes can remake the landscape, huh?
Stocks overall closed with their biggest gains this year. They rallied from the opening bell after the government said February retail sales gains were the strongest since September. JPMorgan Chase gave the rally extra juice by announcing it would raise its stock dividend.
Preliminary results show the Dow Jones industrial average closing up 218 points at 13,177. That’s the highest close since the last day of 2007.

NBC has call the race in racists Alabama, it is Sick Rick Santorum who is the winner in Bama. Now let me say this I know not all the people in Alabama are racists, but I believe that those who said Obama is a Muslim, are racists. And at this point, Willard is unlikely to win Mississippi although earlier many of the pundits (including Nate Silver) had projected that he would have won Mississippi.

It seems to me that Romney looks normal on top and weird with his jeans as if the jeans are what makes him average. It seems to me that he is wearing the same pair of jeans as they are rumpled and wrinkled but the shirts seem pressed. It shows up especially when he wears the jeans with a suit jacket. I liken it to his flip flop personality of trying to be comfortable and casual at the same time as being presidential and more formal.
The ESPN interview w/ POTUS was cute.. I loved how the interviewer- Clark? kept patting Pres O on the shoulder/back. Obvious love & respect for our President from ESPN.

It just shows the difference between Romney talking sports and President Obama intelligently and effortly talking sports. And I liked it because the President just got to talk about something he cares about, with a respectful interviewer. And when President Obama talks about the team owner he knew, it doesn’t come off as sounding elitist, like Romney. He’s brilliant, as usual.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, a tweet from King’s account linked to an eight minute video of a ride-along with a “fugitive task force” including U.S. marshals on Monday. It showed King, the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, joining police as they broke down doors and arrested a suspected fugitive. The video carried the logo of the “Manhunters” reality TV show and featured one of its stars, marshals commander Lenny DePaul.
After TPM made inquiries about the video with King’s office, it was marked “private” and no longer available to the public on YouTube. Later, the video was removed from YouTube entirely.

Well, Kay, these teams are playing for the right to be in the main tournament. So, they’re not exactly best of the best. I really don’t understand why the NCAA felt it necessary to expand the field from 64 to 68. More money, I guess, but it dilutes the competition.

Well, it *is* the tournament, but it *isn’t*. It used to be that the NCAA would pick 64 teams and then the tourney would start. Then they expanded it to 65 teams, and the 65th and 64th teams would play to see who could stay in the big show. Now it’s 68 teams, so we have today’s games. The real tournament starts Thursday. Today’s games are to see who gets to stay on into the big show. It’s quite lame.

Regarding polls…..Reuters is probably as close to right as possible. I mentioned this on the previous post….but at the very end. From what I remember from four years ago, the polls the Obama campaign accepted were their own. Theirs were accurate to a % of a point. That is why they knew to ready the big celebration in Chicago, not to hold back. The only people who dwell on the others are the “pundits.” Axelrod, Messina and Plouffe know what’s what.
And I trust the Obama Brain Team’s math better than, say, Karl Rove’s famous “math” of 2006.

Theo, Cameron’s as stiff as a plank of extremely hard wood. Despite him being a Conservative I almost don’t loathe the fella, but when he comes in to contact with real people he does what my Firefox did most of today: freezes.

Preliminary results show the Dow Jones industrial average closing up 218 points at 13,177. That’s the highest close since the last day of 2007.
