As President Obama is enunciating in every speech, we are at a defining moment in our history of no less significance than 1776, 1861, 1932 or 1941. And, a central element is the obvious collusion of The Vatican, US Papists, Evangelicals and the Party of Koch & Norquist (aka GOP) fervent efforts to subjugate women and girls. It is no longer hyperbole to label these folk as American Taliban.

          It truly is, dotster.

It is not hyperbole and the one aspect of it that makes our responsibility absolute is that they are telling us, not just in words but in their legislative deeds, that they are determined to erase rights for everyone except a very few wealthy white men.

We’ve been warned. We will have zero excuses if this time next year President Obama is not in his 2nd term and the US Senate, House and as many State executive and legislative branches are not thoroughly purged of the Party of Koch & Norquist.

    1) David Ignatius said that OBL became very focused on PBO and on killing him because he felt PBO had turned the tables on him and OBL felt that he and PBO were going toe-to-toe, especially as PBO stopped calling it the “war on terrorism” and renamed it “The War on Alqaeda.” Because their name was besmirched, OBL wanted to rebrand and rename themselves something else.

    2) I didn’t realize that Clooney was in America doing the protest. Thought they were in Sudan. Hm. Okay, so ignore what I said earlier about PBO putting in a call to the Sudanese government.

    • 44 utaustinliberal
      March 16, 2012 at 6:45 pm

OBL was quite stupid in his thought process. He thought if he got rid of PBO, America would be in trouble under VP Biden. Really???!!! VP Biden who was Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee? Didn’t he pay attention to the 2008 campaign? The moronic VP candidate he’s thinking of is Palin. And we already dodged that nuclear weapon. What a dumbass.

Osama bin listening to our MSM and their nonstop drivel about Biden being a “gaffe machine.” Has no CLUE who Biden is – just like our stupid media and their Repub friends.

I already feel sorry for Romney’s running mate. VP Biden was soft on Sister Sarah in 2008 and wiped the floor with her. He will NOT be that soft on someone like Mitch Daniels or Marco Rubio.

        • March 16, 2012 at 10:17 pm

Hopefruit – I’m also awaiting the VP debate this time! The GOP have deluded themselves with their drivel, and they’ve underestimated both President Obama and VP Biden. The media wanted to crown Palin the winner last time because she avoided answering any questions. Well, the next person won’t get away so easily. They’ll see what 30 years of building up expertise in legislative matters, and being a true civil servant, really means. And then, there’s President Obama and the hurt he’ll unleash on one of these losers who thinks he can be President. I can barely wait!

ps- Rev Al talking about how Sistuh Moose is popping off her fool mouth about how PBO should be vetted, but how she was the least vetted VP in the history of American politics. Yes, Lisa, George Clooney has had a very busy week. He had just returned to the USA; then appeared before the Foreign Relations Committee; then that evening appeared at the WH at the dinner for PM Cameron, and met with Sec. of State, and POB about the issues in Sudan.

His appearance before the FRC was very moving. It was on C-SPAN this week, so you might be able to catch it this weekend. I admire Mr. Clooney so much. He really does put his money, soul, and his life on the line for what he believes in. His concerns amongst many were that of starvation at this time because of the weather changing in Sudan shortly.

We will lift him up in our thoughts, and prayers, and send him all of the great energy to be sustained doing what he believes in with all of his heart and his money. HZ

Hi GGail. I am doing better today of all days. Doctors say that I had large amounts of meds. in my system, and that was one reason why I had difficulty during some phases of the test. I have this weekend to stay put, and do one small pre-procedure test before the procedure on Tues.

I will keep doing what I must do. I try so hard to be strong and keep my energy in a place where I can meet the forces that be. However, I have been very blessed to have seen a very strong grandmother, grandfather, and mother weather the storms in their lives while I was a child, so I carry those memories and that stamia with me daily, plus my personal spiritual meditation of my faith to believe in the best of energy of strength, love, and grace to carry me through it all.

GGail, I read your comments. Thanks for going and sharing. I am excited for all of us who are making this happen for millions of people in our nation and around the world. We Will Prevail in 2012. (((((((((Thank you for all that you do, GGail))))))))))HZ

Hi my dear Lisa!!!!! (((((((((((((((((((Hugs to you for making me laugh)))))))))))). Lisa, I am going to keeping moving to the finish line. Thanks for asking. I get so much joy when I am here with my TOD Family.

I got up early and went out on the patio and blew some much needed leaves off to their resting place, so I was a little weak afterwards, however, the doctor did give a tiny permission to move around and drink lots of water to get some of the medication that they used to perform some of the test this week. I am fine now.

So after taking a shower, I decided to come to my haven, and my energy level is stable now. I am with those I love and care about.

Lisa, how is Fred? Has anyone heard anything? Also let us keep our good thoughts going out for Besty for her father’s funeral.

How is tnmtngirl and her mother. Anyone heard anything.

What about Obama Grandmama. Is the surgery still on for the 19th? Send good thoughts out.

Remember Dotster3′s daughter and hubby need for house to go through/good timing for them.

How is Canuck Joyce Grandma doing. Any word lately?

How is Quiet Observer dad doing? Good energy going out also.

We are our brothers and sisters keepers. POB always reminds us of how we are to value and treat each other. So I am serious when I ask and I sincerely and humbly keep all of my TOD family in my thoughts and prayers.(((((((((((((((((I love you all back so much))))))))))HZ

However, when we hear about, read about, and even in some ways see how life is for so many people all over the world, I feel so bless to take part in a moment or moments of thinking of others. It makes the journey worth the travel in life. It is sweetness to the soul.HZ

Oh, Linda, cookemon, and Don that was great by Rev. Al. We need to keep showing Rev. Al some love because he does not play around. We need his voice bringing before the people the facts. I am so grateful for him, and I keep him in my prayer and meditation time daily.

Let us always remember to lift up POB, VPBiden, FLOTUS, and Dr. Biden and All of their staff members and the entire Administration.

I try to take a good couple of hours(I have the time, but some of us do not, so we must do where others cannot) each week and spend time in prayer and meditation, readings, crying, yes, crying and singing, playing music, and playing my piano during my quiet times lifting up in specific supplications for POB and the Administration.

This is very important for POB because all those who speak about “their religion” do not show us the truth of what their Bible tells them. I am not judging, Matt. 7, but I am so sick of the ‘crazy people ‘who are running for the highest office in the land, talking’ trash ‘about God. You know, God has to be mighty upset when some of this crazy and ugly and just plain lying goes out into the space of beautiful, fair, just, decent, and humble people who practice His love in their deeds daily.

I try so hard to remember to respect each person’s personal spiritual journey and Chips beautiful site, so I hope that I will never step out of bounds with my dear TOD Family here. So please hold me accountable. I love and respect each of you too much to do such. But I love meditating, praying in my good and quiet energy space for my brothers and sisters here as well as for our wonderful President.HZ

Hello sweet HZ, Thanks for remembering and asking about my mother. She is doing okay under the circumstances. Bringing in hospice has helped her a lot. She is getting more and better care, not just from hospice, but from the folks at her assisted living. She seems less agitated and in a better mood. It has taken some stress and worry off me too since I know she is getting better care. We are seeing more visible signs of CHF….dry cough, fluid build up even in her hand, tires very easily and sleeps more. That is all to be expected. As long as she is comfortable and content and has little or no pain, I can get through this easier.

I wil be praying for you this next week. May God give you peace and strength. ((((((HUGS))))))

My thoughts will be with you continiously, and I can understand your comfort level now that your precious mother is progressing very nicely. Yes, as long as she is comfortable and content and is without little or no pain are all reassuring signs of things being a little lighter for you to bear.

Keep your faith in a peaceful state, and know that I will keep my prayers going forth for you and your precious mother. ((((((((Hugs)))))))HZ

Paul Ryan and the Republicans are full of alot of bullsh*t. It was on Ed show who show what Presidents spent the most, and they weren’t Democrats. It seem when Democrats are in office the Republicans hollow about the debt, but when Republicans are in office all they do is spend for the rich. Another sign of their hypocrisy.

Hotlanta is great, except for—–the TRAFFIC PROBLEM!!! It’s the nightmare of nightmares. No matter when, no matter day or time of day, we always come to a complete and lengthy stop driving through there—-6 lanes—-total stop—-and then creeping inch by inch as we slowwwwwwwwwly crawl through there. City planners need to start over with their people moving plan. This current plan is a total FAILURE.
The only thing that kept me sane during our recent crawl through there was waving to and clapping for everyone who had an Obama sticker on their car—-got a few smiles and waves from the stressed out drivers, lightened their mood and drive a little bit. Everyone—-well almost everyone—-is in a BMW though, so there’s that. :)

At another point, he said of the networks: “From a professional point of view, they are all on one level — except [Fox News] channel, which falls into the abyss as you know, and lacks objectivity, too.”

What a dumb move by Ryan. Why would he put out a budget this close to the election? No matter what’s in it, his opposition has time to tear it to shreds. Heck, some in his own party won’t publically support it, if they’re up for re-election. Also too, what he’s saying is that his previous much acclaimed budget was a disaster and he’s abandoning it. Also also too too, his video looks like a audition tape for his next step up in the GNOPE hierarchy. Good luck Speaker Boenhead, now you have to look over both shoulders…one for Can’tor and the other for Lyin’ Ryan.

ps- didn’t Willard endorse The Serial Killer’s budget shit/Medicare/Mediacaid Overhaul recently?

HEADLINE: Obama Campaign: New Documentary Breaks Traffic Record

// Still, Obama’s campaign is quite adept at getting people to watch their videos. While Newt Gingrich leads Obama’s potential rivals on YouTube, with about 10 million views total, Obama has racked up 174 million views. They range from the short and goofy—a clip of Obama dancing on Ellen has over 10 million views—to long and serious, like the famous campaign speech on race, which drew about 7 million (and millions more from uploads by others). The new documentary is signficant because, unlike those examples, it proposes a storyline that is not otherwise prevalent in the news or public conversations.//

O/T: I’m watching the Shahs of Sunset on Bravo and one of the women said that one of her dogs voted in the last election!!!!!! hahahahahahhaahahahhahhahahahahhaha!!! I am dying! Maybe this is the voting fraud the repugs are talking about? hahahahhahahhaha!! crazy!

    • March 16, 2012 at 7:10 pm

Alright, you’ve peaked my interest. I”m watching now.

    • March 16, 2012 at 7:38 pm

Ok, that whole scene in the restaurant where the Kim K wanna be called the other chick “Ghetto” and then that chick told her off about her daddy bankrolling her life, is the reason why I don’t like to watch these shows. I am soo not a fan of the “queen bitch” phenom of reality shows.

Cause guess what, if it was me (and it kinda it, I am from the “ghetto”) I woud not have backed down from that bish at all. Homegril would have gotten to hear the spoken word beatdown I like to hit chicks like her with who thinks they are better than me cause they lived a more “charmed” life.

      Ugh.

i know! she’s horrible! can you believe being 30 and the only paycheck you get is from Daddy? WTH? She’s a bit too privileged for my tastes. At least Kim K ‘works’ — and even that’s dubious— to earn a living.

    • March 16, 2012 at 7:54 pm

      ok, lisalovesobama.

I’m done with this show. I’m not a fan of the treatment of the girl Asa by all of em. The gay guy’s only redeeming quality is that he is out and proud other than that he’s an ass.

And I really don’t like the Queen bish chick.

hahahahhahahaha! this is the first time I’m watching the show. They are selfish, materialistic airheads, but if I come up on another episode while channel surfing, I’ll hold my nose and watch! ;)

Okay, I’ve got to ask it: What is it about this man,PBO, that makes you give money you don’t have, spend countless hours watching everything that pertains to him, biting your nails down to the bloody flesh when he’s in trouble, praying like never before…..What Is It?

It’s not idol worship, at least I hope not. But what is it that makes him so doggone compelling? Am I the only one that wonders about this?

Michelle has the same effect, in her own way. Even the dog, Bo, has something going on.

      I feel the same….

This is the first year I have had to file for an extension for our business taxes.. Our business was formed in 1986. I am totally lost in Obama fever….my kids threaten an intervention…

      • March 16, 2012 at 7:40 pm

My kids have accepted that Mama is going to be a little nuts for quite a while. I’ve waited too long for this day to be anything but a little nutty and extremely grateful that I lived to see this day. I keep him in my prayers because pressure is heavy even when its coming from the high expectations of fans. He needs our prayers, probably more than our cheers.

Eveingeorgia, not sure there is a coherent answer to this. Even before I had seen a photo of BHO, or heard anything about him, as soon as I heard he was THINKING of announcing (07) a run for the WH, I intuitively KNEW he was going to be the next POTUS. I remember the moment I understood his background, being of mixed bloodlines, that was it for me. I have my first thought firmly in my brain to this day:
“He IS the story of America”. Well, then I checked him out, saw the beauty in him; later I heard him speak, that was it for me. I haven’t been this unswerving about anything in my life, well, since the Beatles! So, who cares if I go broke, things will sort themselves out down the road. Meantime, no matter what, we must get this man to the WH, and KEEP him there. The whole world depends on it, somehow. And, I can’t even get started on FLOTUS, all I can say is God Bless and Keep Her for loving him and helping him with his work.

What has made our Pres”O”dent so compelling was eloquently stated by PM David Cameron:

But there are three things about Barack that really stand out for me: strength, moral authority, and wisdom.

Strength, because Barack has been strong when required to defend his national interests.
Moral authority, because Barack understands that the means matter every bit as much as the ends
Wisdom, because Barack has not rushed into picking fights, but is steward of America’s resources of hard and soft power.

But all I can say is that it is a pleasure to work with someone with moral strength, with clear reason, and with fundamental decency in this task of renewing our great national alliance for today and for the generations to follow.

And with that, I propose a toast to our wonderful Pres”O”dent!

Times have changed in Georgia since 2008.

I have to sadly report that the majority of my cousins were leaning heavily towards Hiliary. And I can’t tell you how many times I had family meetings getting them to see the facts and to let go of the old preconceived belief that “white is right”.

This year is much much different. They see “the light” :-)

Not 100% positive, but I think the guy who’s hand PBO shook at 1:30 is Mike Berlon, head of Georgia Democrats.

        ———————–
Btw, Governor Nathan Deal (the worthless fart) is not there, but then this is a campaign trip, not an official presidential visit, so it’s appropriate that he stay away.

The Sierra Club’s deputy press secretary, Trey Pollard, answered Gingrich this afternoon in a press release with the provocative title, “Newt Spurns Another Ex”:

Yesterday in Illinois, as part of a desperate bid to revive his failing Presidential campaign, former Sierra Club member Newt Gingrich referenced President Barack Obama and the nation’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization, declaring “Obama represents the flat earth, Sierra Club society.” The Sierra Club released the following statement in response:

“While Gingrich was once a Sierra Club member, apparently he’s had a change of heart. Now, he’s recklessly running into the arms of big oil. His flip-flopping is really not that surprising, though. Newt’s history shows he’s willing to turn his back on anyone or anything for the sake of political expediency and personal convenience.” said Tony Cani, Sierra Club’s National Political Director. “And, for the record, the official position of the Sierra Club is that the Earth is, in fact, round.”

A few years before running for President and authoring a book called Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less, Gingrich derided drilling as a “quick-fix”, authored a book called A Contract with the Earth and claimed he was a committed “conservationist.”
