And as far as the healthcare fight vs SCOTUS goes, our President is calm and collected… we should be like him. I plan to avoid the media while they play this out, because the LAST thing that I want is to have my blood boiling because they say stupid shit that is pure speculation. Recall that early 2010, most of the pundits had written ACA off as dead, were they correct? How much humble crow was served after ACA passed?
President Obama is NO idiot, and I believe he knew that this fight would be difficult, as a matter of fact, I bet this is the kind of fight he wants. Remember, this is the SAME president who got Osama bin Laden and a bunch of top Al Qaeda leaders, yet people CONTINUE to underestimate and second guess his skills. If President Obama wasn’t intelligent, would he have gotten elected back in 2008?

Rememeber this court decided to installed GWB as president, the Roberts court approved citizens united. Can this court afford another ruling against the American people? This is the million dollar question which won’t be answered until June when the ruling will be handed down. So all these rightwingers and hand wringers, and over dramatic pundits on cnn/fox and morning joke don’t mean shit…

Great advice! I simply lost it earlier today, and had to run away from posting for a bit – Twitter was crazy. The fact is, a decision isn’t even expected until June, so to freak out now doesn’t make sense. Lots to do before then.
I plan to do what I did yesterday concerning the Supreme Court, I do not plan to listen to all those pundits and know it all telling me what is going to happen. I plan to have faith and leave it in the hands of the Almighty that the right thing will be done. If not, as I said before this will make me more determine to help re-elect our President.

I love Lawrence because he takes no bull shit.. I recall him serving up Paul Ryan, and Joe Scarborough.. I love a strong man who cares and doesn’t bite his tongue when he sees wrong doing… Lawrence should be loud because chicken the hearted people on CBS, the Today show, and Good morning America are soft except when it comes to questioning President Obama..
I like the way Stephen Colbert handles those kinds of guests, as he just did with some white supremacist guy who wrote a book about white people—-he demolished the guy—–clearly and cleanly——left him bare——and Colbert did the whole thing with no screaming and a smile on his face.
Dotster, I like Stephen Colbert too. He has a wicked sense of humor. I was actually in the audience when FLOTUS taped his show here in Philadelphia. He’s even better in person, because you get to see and hear all the stuff that goes on while the commercials play.
And, yes, LO’D does a lot of hollering. but at least, most of the time, when he’s hollering, he is defending what is right, not just blowing hot air, like the rest of the “media.”

I don’t trust that Joe Oliver. Why you say? I feel it in my gut. Kidding aside, he is not that close of friends with Zimmerman, but he quits his job to go defend Zimmerman. Sound like to me someone with some money decided to let us put out a black friend of Zimmerman to speak up for him, this will show that he is not a racists, this will show that the murder of Trayvon was not because Trayvon was black.
I have friends from college, past jobs, that I’ve know for over 15yrs…I would never quit my job to go on a teevee talking circuit to defend them. Who does that? It smells like this Joe blow Oliver is looking to make some money from someone and maybe an extended 15 minutes of fame. Maybe the next “Joe the plumber”.

I didn’t mind that he got worked up. He, Lawrence, and Capehart were amazing. Anyone who watched that interview and came away with complaints of the above mentioned individuals is a moron. They were perfect. They demanded truth of Joe Oliver and he came away revealing his true self: a LIAR.
I have complaints, and I’m not a moron. I thought it was hard to watch and impossible to hear what anyone was saying, everyone screaming and saying dumb stuff, poorly managed and out of control on everyone’s part. Compare that to how President Obama conducts himself. There’s your goal. You can make the same sharp points without ever losing your cool.
I and a lot of people heard them perfectly well. They proved Joe Oliver to be a liar and if you didn’t understand that, then the fault lies with you not on Lawrence, Capehart, or Blow. By unanimous consent on all social outlets they were fantastic.

Somehow, I get the impression, from a number of your comments on this issue, that you are not at all convinced that this was an unjustified gunning down of an innocent 17 years old young man. Do you have any children? Would you maintain the same detached cool if Trayvon was your seventeen years old son who was killed by someone who considered him a threat, for no apparent reason other than the way he dressed? If that’s what you believe why not summon some courage and write a detailed and reasoned post to explain your position, instead complaining about “dumb stuff, poorly managed…” I also wish you had specified what you considered to be “dumb stuff” voiced by Lawrence and Charles M. Blow and Capehart.

There are several things which stands out to me concerning this murder of Trayvon Martin. Number one, George Zimmerman should have left this in the hands of the police. He had no business following Trayvon. Second people are talking about the racists word Zimmerman used, F*ucking coon. I also want to talk about the comment about where Zimmerman said those a holes always get away. What a holes were he talking about? Black kids. To me it sounded like Zimmerman were determined this a hole were not going to get away this time. And Trayvon didn’t get away, he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.

Some of you remember a Minnesota guy, who volunteered a lot for the Obama’s campaign and always wore the tee-shirt with the words “ World’s Biggest Obama Supporter”. His name is Mr Igor Vovkovinskiy.

Mr Igor’s problem is that he needs a new pair of shoes (size 26???) but the cost is prohibitive.

About the Health Care Law: Many times, people have written off President Obama and some worked to directly undermine him. Each time PBO has come out ahead and the opponents have fallen by way side.
I suspect that some here ended tuesday with a sense of worry about the fate of the health care reform law. I am one of those who desparetely needs the health care law to stand due to pre-exisiting condition and huge medical bills. I am trusting that once again those who try to undermine President Obama (and in this case the sick desparate people) will not succeed.
We sick people desparately need PBO to win this health care fight!!

There is a new WaPo/ABC poll out today with some very encouraging numbers for us:
52% of registered voters hold unfavorable opinions of Romney.
34% percent hold favorable views on Romney, the lowest for any leading presidential contender in Post/ABC polls dating back to 1984.
PBO has a 53% favorability and 43% unfavorable.
With Independents, PBO has 50% favorability to 46% unfavorable.
Romney has 35% favorable to 52% unfavorable.
With moderates, PBO holds a 61% to 34% positive edge.
Romney is seen unfavorably by 48% and 35% favorable.
The poll also shows PBO rallying his base better than Romney.
Romney is seen favorably by 62% of self-identified Republicans and 47% of conservatives.
PBO has 86% approval among Democrats and 75% among liberals.
