Hey back Ms. Chips and TOD. Thanks for the injection of positivity.

Let’s not forget about the “pocket cards” of PBO’s accomplishments that Randi Rhodes/Washington Monthly put together as well as Tien Le’s “pocket cards” on PBO’s accomplishments and the highlights from the ACA. These come in very handy to pass along and reach the people who aren’t tech savy; or have to have the benefits of ACA or anything else our illustrious Prez has accomplished drummed over and over into their heads simply because they are on a steady diet of Fox News.

Case in point, a blown up version of Tien Le’s ACA pocket card is hanging up in the lunch room and at the nurses stations of a couple assisted living facilities because I forwarded it to friends who volunteer there. My uncle who lives in a gated senior community in Georgia has passed the ACA cards around to his neighbors and my Mom (also in a gated senior community) is getting it published it in their monthly newsletter. I put a copy of PBO’s accomplishments in the mailbox of everyone in my neighborhood including the pinhead across the street (bless his heart) who has a Ron Paul 2012 sign on his lawn. I also carry them around with me and pass them out when I’m out and about and refer to them when I ever get into a discussion with someone who spouts the disappointment/same as Bush/death/destruction/mayhem/Danger Will Robinson! Krapola about PBO.

Here’s where the grassroots efforts come in. We CAN also go OLD SCHOOL. Do our part at the grassroots level and let the ripple effect work its magic as well. The links are below. Ms. Chips, maybe you can put these on the sidebar as well for easy access.

Inhale, exhale, breathe and then breathe again, my peeps.

    Randi Rhodes: http://content.clearchannel.com/cc-common/mlib/12369/03/12369_1331401414.pdf

    Tien Le’s : http://otrainofthought.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/aca6upcard21.pdf

Let’s press on, we’ve got work to do TOGETHER!

I went back and read your comment Lunar. Right on! Good idea to also leave the cards around at all kinds of places. May do this at my drycleaner’s tomorrow. They have a litte table that has various flyers on it..

I’ve shared the cards with my OFA team leader and she loves them too! We will be using them during the next phone bank.

That’s great GGail! I sent the cards last Friday to the field director at OFA HQ when I went to the Hilda Solis event. She was very appreciative as well. I can state without hesitation that they are good for phone banking. I used the info from the card at a phone bank this past Monday.

So this Mega Millions thing is insane huh? I got a few tickets IN ADDITION to an office pool that I couldn’t pass up. Don’t want to end up like that guy who was the ONLY one in his office to not join his office pool and the office ended up winning. True story. Really

I swear if some retired guy from the boonies wins this jackpot I’m going to scream.

back in real life I went to Macy’s and got a couple of towels and got some dishes at bed bath and beyond. I mentioned on twitter a while back that since I got a job everything in my apartment decided to fall apart and break. So I have to replace a lot of things.

Anyways, I hope things return back to normal around here. I’ve only been skimming past comments for the past week. Can’t let myself get too stressed out?

Now I’m getting interested in this Mega Millions thing because this is the umpteenth time I’ve been advised about it. If Greece bought a ticket I should be able to too – where can I get a ticket, and when is the draw?

I feel your pain. I don’t need to read hyperbolic freak out comments. As for your statement about the Mega Millions Jackpot =====> Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

FACT: Chance of winning the Jackpot : 1 in 175 million adults. Chance of getting Herpes: 1 in 4 adults. Why do I tell you this? Because I have a twisted sense of humor.

I agree. The media sure has been doing a number on people’s emotions. Everyone is wound up so tight. I prefer to take my cue from the admin and not the punditry. Calm and steady. This is just the beginning of April. Where will everyone’s emotions be when we start seeing millions spent on swift boating during the general. This is just the warm up folks. My best advise? Amplify the positive.

Couldn’t ask for a nicer array of vids to calm the pallette – Thanks again ChipsChica

I love ALL the videos with POTUS AND FLOTUS but these two and “Fridays Good” are my favorites…Thank you Chips. I wish they would make these into a nationwide Presidential Ad only cutting out that it was a fundraiser. People need to know how down to the earth this president is and like our Tally said, we need to spread the word.

  10. March 30, 2012 at 10:39 pm

Have you all seen this poster at the webstore? Its “we got his back” and “we got their back” (a poster with Michelle and Pres.Obama being playful and huggy)

As I watched the dinner video of President and First Lady Obama and their six guests it suddenly hit me – crystallized in my brain as two words:

    Never before.

It’s so important to not miss the obvious, especially when the obvious is so profoundly true and good.

Never before in my 64 years, most of which I’ve paid very close attention to our government, to administrations and Congresses, have I ever witnessed anything close to what President Obama and his wife represent – they represent ALL OF US.

    Never before.

That’s what is at stake on 6 Nov 2012 – an Administration that for the first time in my entire life, beyond any measure, truly represents ALL OF US.

I love seeing him returning home, but not to that empty home alone. FLOTUS, Malia, and Sasha need to be there to greet him. Well there is always Bo.

  15. March 30, 2012 at 11:17 pm

Chip my love, you think you could cut the part from the dinner video, where they talk about that couple’s little boy who’s been saved by health care reform? I think we should try and spread it. It’s just the most amazing scene.

Thanks, Chips, for such a lovely round-up to end a lovely day. I was just able to finally watch the “Dinner with Barack” video a few moments ago — golden! The Malia Bun story was beyond sweet. What a Daddy :-). I wonder what it must be like to be on the receiving end of such love and admiration from so many? Somehow he manages to stay humble, stay connected, stay empathetic, and stay real. I’m sure his family plays a vital role in keeping him grounded, but it all begins within. It’s a very rare person who can handle it all.

I gotta say the vid just above the ‘bun’ one is super powerful for me. Imagine all he has gotten done while facing the most ‘severely’ stubborn wall of obstruction in the history of the federation.

I have been trying to catch up all evening, but feel I have still somehow missed the sequencing on how 57 left us again. Is anyone able to direct me to the vicinity of the thread this all took place on…. That’s what get for paying more attention to my little old lady between lunch and dinner.
