Right on Mr. President. Happy to see you too Sir!
Romney is such an idiot filing an extension on his tax returns. Who are his advisors?
My guess is beavis and butthead.

The Three Stooges….
One of Romney's top bundlers Fred Malek was involved in President Nixon’s push to oust Jews from federal government. politicker.com/2012/04/12/rom…— Russell Schaffer (@RussOnPolitics) April 12, 2012
This same guy was part of a group of men who were arrested for killing and barbecuing a dog in a city park in Peoria IL in 1959. Romney and his ilk just don’t like dogs, do they.
Fred Malek is also one of Sarah Palin’s main benefactors…
He helped set up and fund her PAC early on and also tried to get her up to speed with the D.C crowd…took her to her one and only Alfalfa dinner when they thought they could groom her…
hf, this guy probably knows what happened to Seamus ….
Hello beautiful people of TOD! Right on Chipsticks.
Mitt Romney just said he will file his 2011 tax returns sometime in the next 6 months and prior to the election in November when there is sufficient information to release an accurate return. WTF? What the heck is he hiding? Thank you Romney for changing the topic from the Hilary Rosen nontroversy to this. The Obama team and the media is going to hammer him for this. Doesn’t he know it smacks of shadiness? Everyone is going to be asking: What’s Mitt Hiding?
I don’t think it is what he is hiding but where?
Swiss bank accounts!
Not to mention he still hasn’t released as many returns as Team Obama. Why are they good enough for John McCain to see and not the American people? What cha’ hiding Mitt?
I want him to release prior to 2010. We need to see what he paid in taxes for the previous years. I wonder if you have to pay taxes for having money overseas?
UT, I think his problems are with his previous tax returns he is refusing to release. He had enough advance notice to arrange his affairs for his 2011 returns, knowing they must be released. The pressure should continue for him to release his returns back to 2000 as PBO and VPB have.
I’ve been tweeting all the various MSM outlets about this issue. Why does he need an extension to file his 2011 taxes? And why can’t he release the back returns from 2000 -2009?
Well then release the 1999 through 2009 tax returns, Myth Robme.
I just posted this at the end of the last post – and I think it’s so good I had to bring it over. Chips, might it find a place at the top?
“In an unprecedented move, the five major corporations which own the Mainstream Media have banded together to announce that in order to keep the Presidential race the kind of competitive contest that Americans deserve, President Obama will now be blamed for the gaffes of anyone who ever supported or voted for him.
Their press release, which they handed out to each other, details that this is not only a pro-democracy policy but a pro-recovery one.
“So far, the 2012 race for the Presidency has been very one-sided, with the eventual Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, making self-damaging statements on a near-daily basis while President Obama makes stirring speeches,” explained Time Warner Executive Vice President, Dick Douchington. “This has so far led to a not very competitive race in the polls which is bad for democracy…and our ratings and ad revenue…which coincidentally means it’s bad for the US economy.”
That’s not even the best part)
that doesn’t even make sense maryl1. This has to be a joke. If it isn’t well by all means they can do whatever they like.
Dick Douchington = joke.
And damn funny!
I just read the whole post and I think it’s satire. It’s filed under “humor” on the blog.
Yes—satire—-with some truth underneath, a little too close to the surface. Just saw that CBS CEO Les Moonves’ income rose this past year to $70 million—–wonder who the media identifies with—-the 1% represented by Romney—–or……
That is snark…
The name “Dick Douchington” is an indicator it might be snark. I do like that name, however.
Lmfao @ Douchington. I JUST got it.
maryl this is a parody of what the MSM might say – not what they actually said – at least not publicly!
I realized that – I just thought it was hilariously funny. I didn’t think anyone would take it seriously, i just thought it was a well-written piece of satire.
Read this most important Reuters article on ALEC/Stand Your Ground/Trayvon Martin—-and how the damage that is being done by this secret corporate commission, taking away rights. Frightening.
Did I call it or did I cal it! Willard’s a slimeball!
He’s trying to sneak into the Whitehouse without ever revealing any more his tax returns.

Gallup says that the Buffett rule has fallen in support, to 60% approval to 37% disapproval.
And we are being told that is Terrible.
seriously, why are you quoting Gallup?
Because Bohener is using Gallup as a wedge!
Not true Jovie, Gallup say this is their first poll on the Buffett rule.
The GOPolitico report quotes that twat Brendan Buck mentioning other polls that had higher support for the Rule, but this is Gallup’s first.
Correct. Their is always holes in their arguments.
Boehner only quotes polls that allign with his nutty ideology. Polls also said the American people wanted a combination of revenue and cuts during the debt ceiling debacle. I didn’t here him quoting those polls.
Remember, 45% or so of voters will vote for anyone other than PBO. 60% approving of a major PBO proposal is not bad.
I think it’s a fantastic figure Bill – especially when it’s Gallup doing the polling!
Me too! It’s an issue the Republicans want to quash before the General!
Dems 74%. Indies 63% Repubs 43%. All those people in polyester elastic pants watching Fox and thinking Mittens is going to make them rich by denying health care and decimating Social Security.
How do we know that figure is correct?
#RomneyTaxExcuses is trending on twitter! Yay!!!!!!!
Fantastic. Did you start it?!?!? Off to join in the fun!
JOE SCARBOROUGH SAID THAT?
I am very, very, very confused. I just watched a video of Joe Scarborough making sense about the Hilary Rosen comments. What’s remarkable is that Joe Scarborough is exposing the hypocrisy of his own party. I am stunned. I don’t expect to see anything like this again in the near future. Because I can just imagine the pummeling Joe got from his party for this lapse into reasonableness. He actually asks the question if Romney should apologize for Congressman Allen West calling Democrats communists. Fair warning, Peggy Noonan is on the panel displaying her usual curious political analysis, dramtic long winded pauses and ticks. She pretends not to get it the point that Joe was making.
Scarborough: Is Romney Going to Apologize for West’s ‘Communist’ Remarks?
Conservative MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on Friday said there was “inconsistency” because President Barack Obama has been forced to renounce a Democratic cable pundit’s comments about Ann Romney but Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has not apologized after Rep. Allen West (R-FL) accused 81 House Democrats of belonging to the Communist Party.
In the past 24 hours, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats have all spoken out in defense of Ann Romney after Democratic CNN contributor Hilary Rosen asserted that Ann Romney “never worked a day in her life.”
But as Scarborough noted on Friday, no Republican — including Romney — has disputed West’s recent claim that up to 81 House Democrats were secretly members of the Communist Party.
Does Joe Scarborough realize the Republicans are going to kick him out of their party?
David Plouffe, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama, said Republican Mitt Romney should release decades of back tax returns, framing the issue of as one of “transparency and trust” that will help define the choice for voters in November.
“If he’s got nothing to hide, then there’s nothing to lose,” Plouffe said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt” airing this weekend.
Obama campaign officials have challenged Romney to release 23 years of tax returns that they say the former private equity executive shared for a background check when he was considered for the Republican vice presidential nomination in 2008.
The returns are “just sitting in a box or vault or something,” Plouffe said. “The American people want to have trust in their leaders,” he said.

GAS PRICES COULD HEAD LOWER FOR THE SUMMER
By John W. Schoen, Senior Producer
The recent run-up in oil and gasoline prices may have run its course – for now.
Thanks to easing demand from a slowing global economy and increased production from Saudi Arabia, the oil market is coming off a two-year cycle of tightening supply, according to the International Energy Agency. That’s helped snap a 13 percent surge in oil prices since the start of the year.
Much of that run-up was fueled by fears of a cutoff in supplies from Iran, which is the target of U.S. and European sanctions aimed at curbing its nuclear weapons program. Those sanctions have been applied in stages since the start of the year.
But traders may have overreacted to the potential impact of those sanctions, according to Julian Jessop, chief global economist at Capital Economics.

New post everyone:
Their f**king elephant needs a rabies shot.
Mitt not releasing his tax returns and filing for an extension is definite proof this guy is not ready for prime time (it’s also proof that he has something to hide. I expect Mitt’s campaign to start claiming that PBO has numerous offshore bank accounts). He has been the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for years and to be this clueless at this late date (after a grueling primary that was supposed to strengthen him as a candidate) illustrates how weak he is as a candidate. I hope that he is able to escape the GOP Convention with the nomination. BTW Alexrod and Plouffe have been pitch perfect and very effective in countering MSM and GOP nonsense.
Oh this is outstanding, really nails the way things work between we dems and repubs.. our priorities.
