President Obama announces a plan to increase oversight and crackdown on manipulation in oil markets during a statement in the Rose Garden of the White House, April 17
Congrats…from another Trini…..in T&T……….That picture was taken at the Hilton Trinidad in April of 2009 during the 5th Summit of the Americas!……………..Love them both!!!!!!
Wonkette has a hilarious piece on Mrs. Willard telling Diane Sawyer about Seamus eating the turkey on the counter and having “the runs” and then getting on top of the car. The Willard’s are nothing but class.
So, they prefer for us to think that they piled the dog onto the roof and then drove for 12 hours, knowing that the dog was unwell? How does that make that story any better?
Great victory. ColorofChange’s work has been phenomenal, and I have no doubt they will keep the pressure on as the ALEC kochroaches scurry from one nasty corner to another.
I need to add ColorofChange to my donation list (if they take donations).
Romney’s clueless son, Tagg think it’s a great honor for his Dad to be endorse by a wacko like Ted Nugent. Well I be dam, my Dad was endorse by Charlie Manson, how proud am I of that.
The man is a trip. I am talking about Romney. He is just wrapping the ropes around him and he cannot untie himself ever. Be careful of the company you keep; birds of a feather flock together. Lord let me live to see November 6th 2012. Please.
Wow,so many Trinis on board. I am following cricket as I type which is on at the Oval right now. God,I really hope the West Indies can at least win one Test match against Australia, but we all know how erratic and inconsistent they can be.
Thanks Chips for the pic of Brian Lara and PBO when he was in T and T for the summit.
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.
Each man that’s in the side that’s in goes out, and when he’s out, he comes in and the next man goes in until he’s out.
When they are all out, the side that’s out comes in and the side that’s been in, goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out, try to get him out, and when he is out, he goes in and the next man in, goes out and goes in.
There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.
When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.
******
End of Lesson
It’s not snark. It’s 100% true definition of cricket.
Amk- I have that poster. It is so apt and funny as hell at the same time. By the way Aleths’ take on the Cockiness of Michael Tomasky’s article on PBO,up at Pragmatic Obots Unite, should be plastered every and any where. Must read..and must tweet.
You have two sides (teams), one out in the field and one in. (Like Baseball – on field, in the dugout.)
Each man that’s in the side that’s in (the dugout) goes out (he’s UP to bat), and when he’s out, he comes in (to the dugout) and the next man goes in (is up) until he’s out. (Like Baseball.)
When they are all out, the side that’s out comes in and the side that’s been in, goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. (Like Baseball, except in Baseball, each side only has three OUTS, so all players may not get up to bat during an inning – or they may play for hours… Not sure if there is a finite number of outs in cricket, or the whole side can bat.)
Sometimes you get men still in and not out. (This leads me to believe there are a number of outs like Baseball.)
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out, try to get him out, and when he is out, he goes in and the next man in, goes out and goes in. (Like Baseball sort of …… men on base – I think.)
There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. (Like Baseball, but fewer umpires.)
When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game. (Four innings instead of nine.)
Okay, with the very ambitious goal of catching up on the last couple of days, I’ve hurried home to sign in. While it was a bit nippy out on the road I have to admit that it’s also quite sunny where I am.
Afternoon Chips, TODville and visitors! I’m going to hang around between here and Twitter for a bit, in an effort to understand what the conversation has been about lately.

Mitt Romney Blames Obama For His Refusal To Release His Tax Returns
By: Sarah Jones
—————-
Mitt Romney isn’t going to turn over more than one year of tax returns (maybe two, but the second won’t be unveiled until weeks before the election) because… Obama.
It’s all Obama’s fault. Mitt claims that Obama wants to avoid discussing the Bush economy (that is also Obama’s fault, according to Mitt) and so Obama brought up Mitt’s tax returns for no good reason. Never mind that releasing tax returns is long-standing precedent of transparency; itself a tenet of our system of government. Heck, Mitt’s own father released 12 years of tax returns when he ran for President, former President Bush released 17 years and Obama has released over a decade’s worth of returns…
If Americans vote Mitt into the Oval Office, then they only have themselves to blame. I don’t think there’s ever been a candidate this dishonourable, this heinous, this deceitful, this pathetic in the history of this country. Has there?
The Mitt Romney candidacy is making a mockery of our democracy. He will say and do anything to win. As far as he is concerned, he is owed the presidency and he plans to reveal as little as possible about how he would govern. You want specifics, wait until I’m in the Oval Office. You want transparency, I can’t help you there. This is horrifying. Mitt will do to the country what he did to companies when he headed Bain. You could hear it the open mic comments. It was as if he was planning a fire sale for various government agencies that he just didn’t think we needed any longer.
You’re so right. This “start packing” thing is so heinous for someone who hasn’t even officially won the nomination – who was up against a busload of actual tools. The SNL skit this weekend was so on point – a bunch of crazy fools, and lying Romney – running for President against a man who is so out of their league in all categories. Mitt knows exactly what heartless, greedy policies he’d like to enact. I’m terrified for the people of this country if Mitt should “win” (by whatever dubious means possible). Terrified for people in the world, too.
I was rather astounded when I glanced through McCain’s opposition research on Mittens to see that Bain was the only job he ever had. He then went to the Olympic Committee where it was just dandy to lobby the federal government to bail out the badly-run Olympics. Then his play-governor stint to look like he belonged in public office.
If Bain Capital is what you base the reason for your candidacy on then we need to vet everything you did at Bain. If 23 years of returns were fine for McCain then they are absolutely required by the American people before we put your job-killing, profit-stealing ass anywhere near the Oval Office.
Zombey the Whining Wanker is too Weak to take any responsibility for himself. I see him being Propped up by Corporatemediawhore$, Billionaire$, and even his Weak Wife.
You forgot to say that the game stops for lunch and tea. I remember an American visiting Trinidad who was shocked to hear that the game stops for tea. He thought that that was very civilized.
Just when you think the Romney’s set the limit for being out of touch with humanity….. they prove, no, it’s worse than you ever thought.
Mitt, Ann Romney defend putting dog on car roof; fallout continues
“It was, to me, a kinder thing to bring him along than to leave him in the kennel for, in a kennel for two weeks,” Ann said.
When Sawyer brought up that Romney took Seamus down from the carrier when the dog fell ill to hose him down before putting him back up on top of the car again, Ann minimized the attention paid to the incident.
“We traveled all the time, and he ate the turkey on the counter. I mean, he had the runs. But he would see that crate and, you know, he would, like, go crazy, because he was going with us on vacation.”
The senior Obama left his family to attend Harvard when the President was a baby. The man was way smarter than these so called journalist calling him a Marxist as if he was one. The man went back to Kenya intendiing to change the country and became frustrated. These fools will come up with crazy ideas and gullible people will swallow the rubbish. Use your brain, think for yourself, pick sense out of nonsense. That’s why I love this site so much, I learn something new everyday.
NBC news just put up a hatchet job on the President’s plan to stop oil speculators from driving up oil prices. Article enititled “Obama’s Oil Market Plan More Politics than Substance”. is highly critical of PBO and favorable toward Mitt (it even quotes Mitt’s windmill on a car joke). Article blames oil price hike on PBO placing sanctions on Iran (no mention GOP forcing sanctions or the Israel bombing Iran factor in rising oil prices). Clearly a hit piece that does not pretend to be fair. Article seems to try to portray oil speculators as victims. Unbelievable b.s., but it is what I have come to expect.
The MSM is owned by the billionaire elite, whom Mitt PROMISES to protect, so of course they are going to find ways of protecting Mitt and making the President look bad!
No! They are pissed because the President raised the fine on firms to 10 million bucks!
Companies like Goldman Sachs, used to buy all sorts of oil and sit on it, not putting it into the market.
They then would tip off their people. The President just raised the Penalty on these types of transactions, through the Dodd/Frank bill!
So, are they saying they don’t want any sanctions on Iran? That they want Iran to continue their march towards a nuclear weapon, so they can start a war? I’m giving up “news”. It’s killing me.
Mitt Romney’s campaign is responding to calls from Democrats for Romney to condemn his celebrity endorser Ted Nugent after the conservative rocker’s incendiary comments over the weekend.
“Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from,” said Romney spokesperson Andrea Saul. “Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil.”
—–
Why did he just not say ” Those are not the words I would have chosen ?” Romney is a liar and a whimp.
Mitt didn’t have the balls to stand up to Rush Limbaugh when he insulted Sandra Fluke and women, asking them to post tapes of them having sex on the Internet, that says enough!
Let’s see if the MSM forces Mitt into publicly denouncing Ted Nugent. Ted Nugent is sort of a celebrity who literally threatened the life of the President. This would seem an ideal story for the MSM to latch on to and exploit. It involves several current national storylines including gun violence, the secret service, outrageous comments by a presidential candidate’s supporter (a supporter said candidate’s son was very happy to have on board). Let’s see how this story is treated by the MSM.
Divisive language? I just saw an update of what that psycho said
”Ted Nugent compares Obama to a coyote that should be shot”
Yea both side do that….please!….he doesn’t have the courage to say anything, not to anger the teabaggers who agree with Nugent, so they came up with something vague.
CNN compared Nugent’s comments, which were assasination threats and inciting assasination, to Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. I think I can’t be any more disgusted——and then this preposterous comparison——the ultimate in preposterousness. What in the world has happened to our news media? Has everyone lost their minds?
I hardly ever watch CNN any more—the anchor was the regular 2:00 gal—-it was the reporter who made the ridiculous statements and she just went “hmmmm”, as they all have been told to do so as not to sound partisan on any statement. I will see if I can find the name of the reporter.
So will CNN and the MSM hound candidate Mitt to disavow Ted Nugent and cut ties to the “entertainer”? Will CNN and teh MSM attempt to tar and feather Mitt with the words and sentiment of his supporter? In other words, CNN should milk this story as much as it milked the Hilary Rosen story. It won’t of course, because it wouldn’t want to put Mitt/GOP in a difficult position. Pathetic. Liberal media my ass.
Yeah, Obama should have really tore into Ann and embraced the mischaracterized statement of Rosen. He should have created a wedge where none existed. Sorry for the snark, but I don’t understand how PBO should have played this manufactured controversy. Give Ann a verbal beat down thereby making her a sympathetic figure? Why give a b.s controversy legs by having the President embrace controversy for controversy’s sake (remember that Rosen is an employee of CNN not the Obama administration, he owed her nothing). Drama seeking has never been PBO’s style. PBO and his team are not making the mistakes of the Kerry campaign. They have very fast and effective responses to the GOP/MSM nonsense. Current polling data shows that PBO’s message is resonating with the American people. Mitt is showing himself to be an inept candidate more and more everyday. People by and large LIKE President Obama and that is largely due to the fact that they see him as a DECENT MAN. I venture to say that PBO’s insistence on “the high road bullshit” is a large part of that favorable view.
We shouldnt say anything. Axe and Messina Twitter meltdown was what turned this into a story when there was none. Now the other side threats to kill the president and crickets. We gained nothing from this unnecessary hige road and if we won’t start get down to the mud, this won’t end well. The high road won’t work this time IMO.
You don’t take the high road for bullcrap. Especially bullcrap you had absolutely nothing to do with. Remember how candidate Obama handled the “lipstick on a pig” fake controversy that the McCain campaign and the MSM ginned up. He called in the media saying he was gonna make a statement and then proceeded to clown John McCain and Palin as being two losers who had nothing better to do than gin up fake controversies and that he wasn’t going to play along and had better things to do. THAT is how Axelrod and Messina should have responded to Ann Romney’s little twitter trap. No, instead they went emo and allowed the President’s message to be overshadowed a a damn week, all while making Ann Romeny a victim in the eyes of republican voters.
That’s not taking the high road, that’s just dumb. The should have followed POTUS’s guide to ginned up media controversies.
That would have been played as the Dems making light of “their female problem” the same as the GOP war on catepillars statement, so I disagree with how you think the Obama team should have handled it. You seem to blaming the Obama team for having to deal with b.s. controversies. John Kerry chose to ignore them and lost. You complain about PBO’s message being drowned out for “one whole week”, how long do you think it would have lasted had the President pulled your stunt? That would have given the story legs and it would have stuck to the President . PBO chose to confront it head on, with facts, and won the argument (Mitt still has a serious problem with female voters). I’m sure that the manner of PBO and his team are not always cathartic, but I am glad that the President did not fall into the trap of creating a wedge between working and stay at home mothers.
No, I’m not blaming them for having to deal with fake controversies. I’m blaming them for the clumsy and stupid way they dealt with the Hilary Rosen/Ann Romney “controversy”. It was a joke. Just as stupid as the “lipstick on a pig” crap the MSM tried to push for the McCain campaign. They should have handled it that way. Not respond to it like something serious went down. John Kerry lost because he ignored a serious controversy.
And the John Kerry smear, which helped cost him the Presidency, isn’t even comparable to this. This Hilary Rosen thing is a joke that should have been clowned, not handled like it was some serious issue. It was “lipstick on a pig” part 2 and Axelrod and Messina went emo and responded like it was some grave matter. The Kerry thing is comparable to the “Obama is a Muslim” lie, which they handled.
No more of a joke than a draft dodger being able to portray a war hero as a cowardly traitor. The GOP/MSM jumped on Rosen’s comment to create a wedge betweeen working and stay at home mothers. A wedge that would siphon off some of PBO’s support among women. PBO would have been foolish not to respond, just a Kerry was foolish not to respond to the swift boating. You nip these things in the bud before they get a chance to fester. You don’t think the MSM would have played your “lipstick on a pig” moment as PBO not taking women’s issues seriously like the imfamous “war on catepillars” statement by the GOP attempting to deny their actual war on women?
Ignoring the bs of the GOP/MSM is what cost John Kerry the election. Had the Obama team not responded do you think the story would have gone away? Kerry the war hero was tarred and feathered as a french communist war criminal because he chose to not dignify the GOP’s nonsense with a response. THe high road is a viable approach and honestly the only approach I expect from PBO. The high road is not weak. The high road does not mean we don’t fight back. It means that we counter lies and distortions with facts. Do you think that PBO should sink to Mitts level and constantly lie and flip flop? As for the Nugent story I have seen several links to stories about his threat on the President’s life. I also read on this blog that CNN is attempting to say Nugent and Rosen are comparable. Please do not make the mistake of blaming PBO for the MSM’s treatment of the Nugent story. PBO and no democrat has ever set the narrative of the MSM in this country (at least not since Reagan). The story has gained steam and we will see if the MSM allows it to grow or if it grows so big that the media can no longer ignore it (sort of like the 99% movement). On a side note: if the polls were reversed and Mitt was beating PBO by 9 points and winning the female vote by a huge margin, you would justifiably be freaking out, as would I. Don’t be afraid to exhale every now and again. We need you strong for when the going really gets rough.
THANK YOU! I keep saying this and people just don’t freakin’ get it. When you take the “high road” on issues that do not deserve it, like the Rosen “incident”, you help the corrupt media level the playing field and you make it even easier for them to sa “both sides do it”. You make it even easier for them to say Hilary Rosen saying Ann Romney hasn’t worked a day in her life is the exact same thing as Ted Nugent inciting a crowd of gun nuts to murder the President.
This is what the very few of us have been talking about even as folks have tried to shush us or call us emo. They’re doing it on CNN right as we speak. Their response is to call on Mitt Romney to take responsibilty for what Nugent said and denounce it. No, their response is to say “Oh, well. Last week Hilary Rosen said some disgusting things about Ann Romney. How sad that both sides are being so ugly. The American people deserve better than this ugliness coming from BOTH campaigns!”
It’s crazy. But guess what? We helped make it that way by taking the “high road”. This is WAR and Romney and that bloated wife of his won’t be denouncing Ted Nugent any time soon. And even if they do, the msm will still say this is nothing more than “both sides” being “ugly”.
Axelrod and Messina better wake the hell p and start dealing with the MSM like the damned enemy that it is. It’s not enough just to go around the media to inform the public. The only reason Romney’s ass isn’t in the low 30s is because he gets nearly 100 percent positive media coverage while the President gets nearly 100 percent slanted negative. They’ve got to batter the press to cover Romeny fairly. This complete brushing off of what Ted Nugent said by the MSM is just the beginning. Axelrod and Messina should be hammering the MSM over their coverage of this as compared to Hilary Rosen.
Here’s why I’m mad at Rosen…the Obama team was jabbing Mitt pretty good that day. They were winning the messaging. They really were. Everyone knew that the first day of the general election was full of Mitt fail…until Rosen’s clumsy statement stepped all over it. It’s really not about them taking the high road although I think PBO means it when he says leave the candidate’s family alone, but with the media being the media…we know that even if Team Obama had kept silent this would have been an issue because the media was looking for a way to save Mitt from his sorry day. They were looking for more equivalence BS.
I bet Axe and Messina were livid because all of their hard work was being overshadowed by the carelessly framed statement of a Dem “strategist” who should have known better. Doesn’t she get paid for her communication skills? I’m not trying to be hard on her but if you’re in the game you need to be ready to play. We say its Axe and Messina’s job to be on message but its Rosen’s job as well as every other Dem pundit too. I have every confidence in Team Obama and that’s not because I wax poetic about everything the Obama camp does. No one is perfect but I think they know what it takes to win this election. They were proving it that day and I don’t think their response to Rosen’s comment diminishes that. I also think their response draws a sharp contrast to how the Romney team has responded to the Nugent comments and I think the American people can see that contrast despite our corporate media. That’s why Romney’s favorability ratings are the lowest in history.
OT–I saw this man’s story on YouTube and it broke my heart. He has 2 masters degree and a PhD in Physics, and he’s unable to find a job. Please watch his story and pass it along. This video was uploaded in 2011 so I don’t know what his situation is right now. I hope someone can hire him because he seem like such a brilliant man. I hope he writes a book about his life someday and it becomes a bestseller.
Postal reform has been objected to by McCONELL.
It looks like 30k people will be laid off at the end of MAY.
Raising the UE rate? Tricky and mean bastards!
Reid is furious and laying into mconell right now!
Sadly!
I heard Eric Alterman on Stephanie Miller this morning and I wanted to scream. I’m seeing less and less of that kind of PL crap, but he was a complete throwback to 2009/2010 and I almost threw my shoe into the TV.
Ding, ding, ding!!! You are so right! Can you imagine what the unemployment rate would be right now if those states with Republican governors had not been slashing them, especially with all of the job growth coming from the private sector. Once the President is re-elected, it’ll be very interesting to see how fast the public sector hires back all of those people, because this strategy will no longer apply.
Wifey and I were driving back from dinner last night and listening to KLOS. A Nugent song came on, and I immediately changed it. The man is beyond abominable.
If someone on the “Left” had said that about Baby Bush, he would’ve been brought up on charges.
But, also, let’s be real: Nugent doesn’t have the balls to do anything except hunt deer from an enclosure. I remember reading a story about how he got out of being drafted for Vietnam: he basically didn’t shower for weeks before his physical and crapped all over himself. Real brave guy, that one.
The right wing ALWAYS bring up that British film “Assassination of a President” as proof that liberals called for the assassination of President Bush, nevermind that it was exclusively released in the UK and the director himself said the film wasn’t about President Bush!
Thanks for the info LL. That explains Nugent’s need to constantly portray himself as some macho, he-man, great white hunter type. No wonder he likes Mitt, they are both phoney to the bone.
(Nugent claims) that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment.
the secret service thing has me spooked, mainly because of ronald kessler being involved. this guy is a propagandist of the highest order. i won’t link to his stuff, but his newsmax column is unbelievable in its rewriting of history and extreme negativity toward PBO, while the same time promoting mittbot as an amazingly caring and sincere man (i’m not kidding or exaggerating). i first heard of him when he wrote a fawning 2004 book about george w. bush where kessler is bascially calling him one of the great presidents of all time (again, not kidding). not surprisingly, i cannot find a single thing kessler wrote about jeff gannon/guckert, the male prostitute during bush’s time (approx 2005) posing as a journalist who had many white house visits when there weren’t press conferences and often never checked out on those nights (facts from the secret service log books).
i just spent the last 30 minutes searching what kessler has been doing in recent times, and the part that has me a little on edge though is a march 23rd kessler newsmax article where he talks about lee harvey oswald and the kennedy assassination, and how a lone gunman can pull something like that off. now, a few weeks later we have this bizarre secret service story with kessler and a republican ss-connected candidate, along a w. bush-appointed ss director, happening right as PBO is about to begin his rallies, as they announced last week. with kessler, darth cheney and his vile comments against PBO, ted nugent and all the others with their violent talk against PBO, are they laying groundwork for a nefarious plan? the neocons have been very quiet lately until just recently.
PBO, please take drastic measures with your security details. these people are true evil!
I wouldn’t fret too much, these neocons know that if President Obama were to, God forbid, get assassinated, they would be the main target of blame. Just look at how the Secret Service are monitoring Ted Nugent for his comments about how Obama should be shot like a coyote and how he’s going to chop of Democrats heads in November.
well, that’s why all the misinformation that’s put out there daily by the MSM and negativity toward PBO is so harmful – no matter what happens in future, we know they will rewrite history to diminish the greatness of PBO. they’re already doing it! osama bin who? mommar qada-who? if the unspeakable was to happen, people like ronald kessler are already saying PBO would’ve brought it all upon himself (he also has a bunch of articles about the secret service “cost-cutting” and having inept agents now). they wouldn’t blame it on republicans at all. look what they did with the gabby giffords tragedy. i tend not to be a worrier, but republicans and the media have created a very troubling environment right now. we all must be vigilant and i hope PBO is being really proactive about this internally. can’t believe this topic is even in my mind.
I don’t find any of this impossible. In fact, I have a what I can only label a hunch that an assassination attempt will be made, but PBO will survive. I am not saying it’s for sure, but we already live in a powder keg, and these devils have and are laying the groundwork for an event such as this, and know that they have atleast a third of the nation who actually wouldn’t lose sleep over same, and in fact would celebrate. We should watch all of this very closely and beware. I am already suspiscious about people I am surrounded by on a daily basis. Other than all the madness, I was thinking about how much joy PBO has brought to my life. He is forever in my prayers and my thoughts, as well as his family and administration. But I do not trust most of America.
I’m uncomfortable too. Very. I don’t like this Kessler guy either. I noticed Michael Smerconish expressed reservations about him also and how he’s involved in the whole SS scandal. He was the one who broke the story. My mind is imagining all sorts of scenarios also. And I didn’t like the way he was talking about the possibility of assasination, saying how it could happen——-look how sloppy our secret service is etc. And he seems to have a personal vendetta against the head of SS also, for whatever reason. I think he’s creepy. He popped right up seconds after this story broke. Something stinks.
also—on his wikipedia page it mentions he was real big on pushing the Rev. Wright story. As I said, something about this guy makes me very uncomfortable.
Listening to Randi Rhodes, and she just said the SS thing scares her as well, because of all the death threats. We must not, in all of our jubilation of PBO’s presidency and accomplishments, be caught unaware of all the danger this great man lives in each and every day of his life. Therein lies the proof of his courage. People need to be educated of the importance of appreciating him.
I echo what all of you have said……I have felt for months that something awful is likely to happen or at least, be attempted. There is so much hate and it’s spread and encouraged every day by the right-wing talk radio and Fox. As someone said, I can’t believe these things are in my mind, but must admit they have been for months. This SS mess and everything surrounding it and now the Ted Nugent b——. ….the Kessler guy…….Is this too many coincidences?
Please God, protect PO and VPB and their families.
Well, from what I am hearing and what I can tell–Romney is very afraid. I see it in his eyes. He does not have confidence and he is cowardly. He is very afraid of President Obama. I do not see any confidence at all. Don’t know much about his father but he is a mere shadow of him and he knows this. President Obama is confident and very courageous. He does know what he is up against and our man is no fool. He believes in what he is doing and he is very much on a mission. He almost has tunnel vision as far as what he is going to do during his second term. Barack means business and people will know it. Things and people and situations are being put into place and there is a very definite, concrete plan. This will work out and he WILL win. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012.
Romney is throwing everything he’s got at The President right now. When he sees it has no effect and the President hasn’t even started to counter punch watch him really get scared.
In total agreement, derbingle. He is so bewildered. He hasn’t got a clue. He hasn’t got a plan. He knows that he is pathetic. He only ran for President because he cannot do anything else. President Obama is multidimensional. Willard is very hollow, barely a man. His wife seems like a creep.
Can you imagine if some rocker on PBO’s side came out and made threats against zombey(wouldn’t happen..nobody is that brain-dead who likes POBama..but, the corporatemediaWhore$ would be all over it like Hilary Rosen.
“You have to hand it to Mitt and Ann Romney, even their righteous indignation is as fake and as two faced as everything else that marks their presidential campaign.” Martin Bashir 4/17/2012
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s (R) campaign will repay the state thousands of dollars for using a state-funded security detail during fundraising trips, state and campaign officials said Monday.
The exact amount to be reimbursed hasn’t been released, but The Charleston Post and Courier reports that the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division spent at least $16,000 providing security to Haley during fundraising events through December 2011, not including agents’ pay. The campaign will repay the money after June 30, the end of the fiscal year.
The use of state resources for a political campaign is prohibited by state law. Government watchdogs and Democrats have said Haley should have reimbursed the money sooner. Marisa Crawford, a Haley campaign aide, said the decision was made because it was easier to repay the money all at once.
Seriously, how perfect is this soundbite from Ann Romney. The Romney’s are owed the presidency for Pete’s sake. Randi Rhodes is cracking me up today. She has a new soundbite of Ann Romney saying “It’s Our Turn Now”. She is playing it throughout the show today. It’s really chilling.
Almost like royalty. Princess Ann and Sir Fake A Lot are next in line for the throne. No they didn’t do anything to deserve it but now it’s their time. Sad.
WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans are joining a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of some of President Barack Obama’s recess appointments in January, when Congress may not have technically been in recess, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday.
“We inside the Republican Conference had a number of discussions about the appropriate response to this unconstitutional action on the part of the president. We concluded the best course of action was for us to join an appropriate lawsuit,” McConnell told reporters. “I have asked — and he has accepted — that Miguel Estrada, a name that might be familiar to some of you, represent Senate Republicans in an amicus brief related to the president’s unconstitutional action.”

Agreed!!! Brian Lara will always be one of my all-time favourites!!! (damn NZ cricket team.. useless!)
Fine form.
Chips – check your email. I think it’s done.
Thanks for the pictures of my President and my Prime Minister. What would I ever do without you?
Or should I say, all the kings men! They all look so well-defined.
Congrats LadyJazz, from one Trini to another!
From Trini#2, Amen.
Bill, Class-less
So, they prefer for us to think that they piled the dog onto the roof and then drove for 12 hours, knowing that the dog was unwell? How does that make that story any better?
Exactly. Both are pathological liars.

It’s on TPM as well. I don’t think their economic program is all hot, but at least the Talibangelicals have just lost a major ally.
Hi Chips,
Thank you for that photo of our Brian Lara teaching POTUS to bat ( cricket) in sunny old Trinidad. It is pouring rain right now. Much needed.
Did anyone watch Hardball last night about the SS scandal ? That guy Kessler and a SS agent who is now running for Congress in Maryland ?
Well…..his brother is one of the agents that was involved. He never mentioned that .
You should tweet that to Tweety

Cricket explained to an American
It’s 100% true definition of cricket.
hunnnnnhhhh? Amk!
Amk- I have that poster. It is so apt and funny as hell at the same time. By the way Aleths’ take on the Cockiness of Michael Tomasky’s article on PBO,up at Pragmatic Obots Unite, should be plastered every and any where. Must read..and must tweet.
And that’s how the Brits built their empire: they confused the crap out of the colonized natives with their sports.
Hahahahaha. All I kept thinking while reading Amk’s definition of cricket was WTF? And Huh?
Let me help – (I hope)
Cricket explained to an American
Do I have that sort of right?
Cricket as heard by an American. Little black bug what makes a pleasing chirping sound.
I’m right there with you Tien. That’s exactly what Cricket sounds like to me.
lol Amk.. I couldn’t keep up even if I tried.. thanks for the rundown though

Mitt doesn’t have to because… Obama!
——————-
http://www.politicususa.com/mitt-romne-obama-tax-returns/
Ladyhawke, Mitt Romney is sounding stupid.
And he looks more and more ridiculous.

But he would see that crate and, you know, he would, like, go crazy, because he was going with us on vacation.”
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-mitt-romneys-treatment-of-dog-seamus-continues-to-hound-campaign-20120417,0,1116039.story
Ann Romney can apparently speak dog! She thought “woof woof” means “ROOF ROOF!”
LOL!
ha!
Maybe he was going crazy because he didn’t want to go in the crate – he knew what was coming.

Oh Lord, the stupid it burns, IT BURNS!!!!!
We need to continually point out that the media is owned by the GOP. This is all about money, and we have no free press.
We need another sponsor list. We must learn to do without except for the necessities, until they hear us. This is why I no longer turn on my TV.
So, are they saying they don’t want any sanctions on Iran? That they want Iran to continue their march towards a nuclear weapon, so they can start a war? I’m giving up “news”. It’s killing me.
McConnell: “I support Gov Romney for President of the United States.” #endorse‘d
—
A twitter endorsement from Mitch ?
oh dear….
So we have the Weeper of the House and McTurtle both endorsing the dog hating Etch a Sketch!
Big dam deal, one of the sorriest Senator, Mitch McConnell has endorse Mitt “the flip flopper liar” Romney.
Disgusting
CNN compared Nugent’s comments, which were assasination threats and inciting assasination, to Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. I think I can’t be any more disgusted——and then this preposterous comparison——the ultimate in preposterousness. What in the world has happened to our news media? Has everyone lost their minds?
Do you know who it was on CNN…..? I live in Atlanta and will call them directly.
I hardly ever watch CNN any more—the anchor was the regular 2:00 gal—-it was the reporter who made the ridiculous statements and she just went “hmmmm”, as they all have been told to do so as not to sound partisan on any statement. I will see if I can find the name of the reporter.
Anchor was Brooke Baldwin, reporter was Jim Acosta.
CNN has turned into one seriously bad joke.
Did Hilary Rosen threaten to assassinate Mitt and Ann Romney? Did she threaten to chop off Republicans heads in November?
To quote Bob Beckel, CNN don’t know what the FUCK they are talking about!!!!!
DO THEY THINK THEIR AUDIENCE IS AS STUPID AS NUGENT?
F**KIN HATE WILL KILL OFF THE REST OF BRAIN DEAD NUGENT STRAIGHT AWAY.
Basically he’s doing the “both sides do it” excuse and did not actually disavow what Ted said.
Unlike what Axelrod and Messina, EtchAMitt is a coward
We deserve it. The high road bullshit will kill us.
You don’t think the MSM would have played your “lipstick on a pig” moment as PBO not taking women’s issues seriously like the imfamous “war on catepillars” statement by the GOP attempting to deny their actual war on women?
the clumsy and stupid way…..
it is interesting….that When the President says nothing…then he is not in charge of the messaging….if he does comment….then he is stupid and clumsy…
you comments are offensive….Itgurl…..
Folks always seem to 2nd guess the president…
We need you strong for when the going really gets rough.
yup.
THIS!!!!!!THIS!!!!!!!THIS!!!!!!!!THIS!!!!!!!!!THIS!!!!!!!!! Got it?????
Truly and amazingly sad. Ihope he got a job soon after this video was done.
Postal reform has been objected to by McCONELL.
It looks like 30k people will be laid off at the end of MAY.
Raising the UE rate? Tricky and mean bastards!
Reid is furious and laying into mconell right now!
Sadly!
But but but but the professional left SAY that Reid is spineless and useless… they want MAJORITY LEADER McTurtle!
I know. The PL also likes the status quo!
I heard Eric Alterman on Stephanie Miller this morning and I wanted to scream. I’m seeing less and less of that kind of PL crap, but he was a complete throwback to 2009/2010 and I almost threw my shoe into the TV.
This is just to drive up unemployment prior to the election.
They want to decimate the largest public unions — the postal workers. It’s about that as much as raising the UE numbers.
However, we can continue to point directly at Republicans who are causing unemployment.

Why is he not in jail???
He’s going to crap all over himself again when the Secret Service shows up at his door.

Thanks for the info LL. That explains Nugent’s need to constantly portray himself as some macho, he-man, great white hunter type. No wonder he likes Mitt, they are both phoney to the bone.

I loved that story. What a wonderful concept.
Hey everyone, I have a new post up: http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2012/04/november-6-2012-two-americas.html. Take a gander if you can.
LL, another brilliant post, as usual! I passed it on to my mailing list.
the secret service thing has me spooked, mainly because of ronald kessler being involved. this guy is a propagandist of the highest order. i won’t link to his stuff, but his newsmax column is unbelievable in its rewriting of history and extreme negativity toward PBO, while the same time promoting mittbot as an amazingly caring and sincere man (i’m not kidding or exaggerating). i first heard of him when he wrote a fawning 2004 book about george w. bush where kessler is bascially calling him one of the great presidents of all time (again, not kidding). not surprisingly, i cannot find a single thing kessler wrote about jeff gannon/guckert, the male prostitute during bush’s time (approx 2005) posing as a journalist who had many white house visits when there weren’t press conferences and often never checked out on those nights (facts from the secret service log books).
i just spent the last 30 minutes searching what kessler has been doing in recent times, and the part that has me a little on edge though is a march 23rd kessler newsmax article where he talks about lee harvey oswald and the kennedy assassination, and how a lone gunman can pull something like that off. now, a few weeks later we have this bizarre secret service story with kessler and a republican ss-connected candidate, along a w. bush-appointed ss director, happening right as PBO is about to begin his rallies, as they announced last week. with kessler, darth cheney and his vile comments against PBO, ted nugent and all the others with their violent talk against PBO, are they laying groundwork for a nefarious plan? the neocons have been very quiet lately until just recently.

What a coward
Martin Bashir slammed Robney on the Ted Nugent Thingy!
Can you imagine if some rocker on PBO’s side came out and made threats against zombey(wouldn’t happen..nobody is that brain-dead who likes POBama..but, the corporatemediaWhore$ would be all over it like Hilary Rosen.
oh my… I am LMAO….you have got to see this from the Washington Capital’s hockey game.

ANN ROMNEY “IT’S OUR TIME NOW”
Seriously, how perfect is this soundbite from Ann Romney.
Sad.
Too bloody bad they’re using it to LIE to the American People. Supercilious Shites.
