I think in May…I can’t find the source now. But it was going to be in a swing state Ohio, Virginia or Colorado. Co-sign. I saw so many of these types of comments on twitter that I thought that this was 2008 instead of 2012 because it’s almost verbatim. I am back, but much slower and using most of my time for physical training exercises as well as stretches to get a good Range of Motion score on my final checkup. I certainly have missed this blog in this last month since my total knee replacement surgery on March 19th. My help goes home on Thursday. Robme wants to get rid of HUD. These affects millions of elderly, poor, senior women and single women with children. I finally got my mom into a senior hud affordable apartment close to me. For the first time in ten years she is happy and in a safe clean well kept apartment. Her old non-hud apartment, the rent kept going up and they refused to make any repairs because she paid slightly less than most people in the building. I will not let Robme win for my Mom and all the other Moms/Dads/Kids out there need to have affordable housing.
I had an interesting conversation with someone who is apparently a Republican or at least an Independent. He lives in WI and we were talking about the possibilty of a football team coming to SoCal. I told him that Los Angeles is broke. If they can’t fund schools, teachers, etc., they have do business paying (even partially) for a football team. He gave the usual arguments, i.e it will bring jobs, money, etc., to the area. I told him we would have the same with a well educated population because people would start businesses, create jobs, business will move to the state, etc. I told him our country’s priorities are messed up if we feel it’s OK to give money to a billionaire to create minimum wage jobs for six months out of the year. Once the game is over, those people get in there cars and go home to the suburbs. The people who live and work near by are too poor to buy tickets for these high priced stadiums. I asked him why these billionaires can’t foot the bill when they did before. They get revenue from television, cable, etc., they don’t need our tax dollars. Yesterday Lawrence O’Donnell had David Cay Johnston on who talked about the states who allow large businesses like AT&T, Nissan, Toyota, etc., to KEEP the state income taxes that are deducted from their employees. THAT IS WHY SO MANY STATES ARE RUNNING DEFICITS. Just think about that, people are paying these company’s so they can keep their jobs and in some cases are laid off anyway and when you file your tax return and get a refund, NONE OF THAT MONEY EVER WENT TO THE STATES, THE STATES ARE PAYING YOU OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND. Please google David Cay Johnston and see the AP article he published. The list of states are almost all run by GOP Governors.

Romney is a very small man, pretending to be more significant than he is. He doesn’t deserve to be on the same stage as President Obama, and it says a lot about that 43% (or whatever it is today) who are seriously considering voting for him.
Ever notice, too, that Willard seems to be trying to run against his father. The way he answered the debate question about whether he’d release as many years of tax returns as his dad – almost a mock to his father – and now at the private gathering where he says he’d close or reconfigure HUD (so nobody will know what it used to look like, I’m sure) and his dad was the head of HUD. Either his father did a number on him, psychologically, or gave him too much too early, or Willard has independently thought he could never measure up and now he’s running against his father … well, he’s just pitiful.

Co-sign. I saw so many of these types of comments on twitter that I thought that this was 2008 instead of 2012 because it’s almost verbatim. That’s not to say that Team Obama won’t have the occasional misstep, but they pretty much stayed above the fray in 2008 despite the constant howling to “take the gloves off”, “hit them harder”, etc., etc. And what do you know, it worked. I am back, but much slower and using most of my time for physical training exercises as well as stretches to get a good Range of Motion score on my final checkup. I certainly have missed this blog in this last month since my total knee replacement surgery on March 19th. My help goes home on Thursday. I will then be on my own but not okayed to drive yet as I am using pain pills for my therapy as of yet. I will be checking in as often as possible now that I am transferring from walker to cane use. Robme wants to get rid of HUD. These affects millions of elderly, poor, senior women and single women with children. I finally got my mom into a senior hud affordable apartment close to me. For the first time in ten years she is happy and in a safe clean well kept apartment. Her old non-hud apartment, the rent kept going up and they refused to make any repairs because she paid slightly less than most people in the building. I will not let Robme win for my Mom and all the other Moms/Dads/Kids out there need to have affordable housing.

I had an interesting conversation with someone who is apparently a Republican or at least an Independent. He lives in WI and we were talking about the possibilty of a football team coming to SoCal. I told him that Los Angeles is broke. If they can’t fund schools, teachers, etc., they have do business paying (even partially) for a football team. He gave the usual arguments, i.e it will bring jobs, money, etc., to the area. I told him we would have the same with a well educated population because people would start businesses, create jobs, business will move to the state, etc. I told him our country’s priorities are messed up if we feel it’s OK to give money to a billionaire to create minimum wage jobs for six months out of the year. Once the game is over, those people get in there cars and go home to the suburbs. The people who live and work near by are too poor to buy tickets for these high priced stadiums. I asked him why these billionaires can’t foot the bill when they did before. They get revenue from television, cable, etc., they don’t need our tax dollars. Yesterday Lawrence O’Donnell had David Cay Johnston on who talked about the states who allow large businesses like AT&T, Nissan, Toyota, etc., to KEEP the state income taxes that are deducted from their employees. THAT IS WHY SO MANY STATES ARE RUNNING DEFICITS. Just think about that, people are paying these company’s so they can keep their jobs and in some cases are laid off anyway and when you file your tax return and get a refund, NONE OF THAT MONEY EVER WENT TO THE STATES, THE STATES ARE PAYING YOU OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND. Please google David Cay Johnston and see the AP article he published. The list of states are almost all run by GOP Governors.
