Some pretty stunning details here of exactly how Bain operated under Romney: bit.ly/IwJtu0 via @HnstyNgov— Krystal Ball (@KrystalBall1) April 26, 2012
Did some one say Michelle Obama ?
Ha, look at you, you’ve woken up!!
Now we’re talking…. Not you. Me& her.

For this, you have my undying gratituide, amk.
Yes, we men need to stay strong against these wenches.
Pssst. where the hell is yardarm ? I’m getting scared.
Probably still recovering from his celebrations of yesterday.
God, she’s just fabulous. Just look at her. The outfit, the hair. But more than that, her ease with people and her sincerity.
He didn’t create jobs, he created wealth for the investors…..we only know the surface of all of this.
Hey Nintendo, I’m assuming you are posting this to show us what a jerk Romney is. But to the naive lurker, it appears like just a pro-Romney video. I would love if you could post some contextual comments with these kinds of videos.
It’s a think progress vid that I just saw pop up, and I decided to post it.
It’s not even video…it’s an image with some scratchy audio of some guy ranting about America.
Why continue to post this pro R nonsense all the time?
I just read the excerpt from Robert Draper’s book regarding what their treasonous plan was from day one, the economy was only losing 700K jobs when President Obama took office after all.
This caught my attention
”Go after Geithner. (And indeed Kyl did, the next day: ‘Would you answer my question rather than dancing around it—please?’)”
I was thinking of something
Someone who was not at the meeting went after Geithner from day one…..Arianna Huffington.
I don’t know if you guys remember that?….Day after day, it was like he was the devil reincarnated….the emoprogs picked that up and Geinthner was blame for everything.
Strange coincidence if you ask me, knowing that her BFF Gingrich was at that meeting…..
Interesting.. Dkos went insane over Geitner immediately.. I in fact was prompted to write my one & only diary there over all the attacks on POTUS’ admin choices. It doesn’t surprise me at all that Huffington was a leader in those attacks. I’ve never believed her to be anything more than a republican.
Absolutely sherijr…..Dkos went insane over him immediately….following her lead because you know, she was such a progressive. The truth will come out eventually, it always does,.
I agree, on the truth always coming out. Those attacks were so much about folks following the latest push by the repubs.. and it only proves what I finally figured out at dkos.. a whole lot folks there who don’t know their own minds and place way too much importance on “pundits”.
And all of the “progressives” followed Huff-n-Stuff’s lead. This was all too coordinated.
Yes, I remember that. And she was all over tv saying POTUS should fire Geithner or else. In fact, she was THE major force in the media calling for Geithner’s head. You are certainly on to something. Arianna may indeed have been part of these sabotage plans.
Clearly none of that plan worked. Geithner is still in the administration and the recovery is still happening. Going after Geithner was nothing more than a distraction. Just because the GOP has a nefarious strategy doesn’t mean it’s an effective strategy.
She did have a friendly relationship with the Newtster—–the vaca photos were proof—–and he reportedly was the prime one issuing total obstruction orders at that mtg. on inauguration day. Arianna has never come across as authentic to me, no integrity whatsoever. And you are correct that she was a great ally to this anti-Obama effort—-anti-administration headlines and articles daily.
“DO NOT ASK WHAT GOOD WE DO”
It’s remarkable what good President Obama and the Democrats were able to accomplish in spite of the entities below.
The Robert Draper Book “Do Not Ask What Good We Do”
- Obstructionist/Do Nothing Republican Congress members
- Republican Governors
- Chamber of Commerce
- Grover Norquist (No Tax Pledge)
- Feckless Mainstream Media
- Right Wing Radio
- Citizens United
- Koch Brothers
- Wall Street
- Big Oil
- Lobbyists/Special Interests
Yes Ariana Huff has beea a cheer leader from the begining for the GOP his BFF is Darrel Issa, and AH wanted
Rham, VP Biden and many other people fierd by PBO. AHFF is a Republican make no mistake> She Runn for GOV
here in CALIF as a DEMo, but we did not buy her B.S
What a joke all his advisers are.
All that Slow Jam “outrage” from Republicans…laughable! ( Or, Laugh In!)
Another great take:
I’m on the OFA site waiting for VP Biden to speak.. just checking to make sure he hasn’t started yet has he?
VP Biden is getting ready to show Rubio how it’s done :-).
Rubio.. blech.. ;) Joe best VP ever.. look forward to him smacking ever so kindly Romney’s pathetic choice.
I actually think Romney’s going to choose another white male.
Thanks for the Heads up Chips. I was wondering if the White House would carry the First Lady’s event.
Is our VP running late?
seems to be, at least I’m not getting anything yet.
I wanted to listen to VP Biden, but he is running late. So when FLOTUS come on, sorry Joe, I love you too, but it’s FLOTUS.
You know @MittRomney's foreign policy is bankrupt when you are putting out Dan Senor who called the Iraq war a "model" for the region.— Brad Woodhouse (@woodhouseb) April 26, 2012
They are making this too easy. Senor is one of the biggest failures out of Baghdad.
Dan Senor is a FUCKING NEO/CON , yes I remember his BULLSHIT on Iraq what a FUCKER!!!!
Dan Senor was the American equivalent to “Baghdad Bob”. IMO, the most riveting book on the Iraq War was ” Imperial Life in the Emerald City”. You’ll find a lot of documented facts about Senor in that book.
Pathetic creatures. HAHAHAHA!
They could not be any more ridiculous if they tried.
This is sad, appalling but not terribly surprising. A GOP plan to obstruct from day one.

Real American patriots, huh?
“None dare call it treason.” WTF, I will. It is treaon. This had nothing to do with ideological differences and everything to do with, make sure the uppity N… falls on his face or some other uppity N… may think he (or she, even worse) might think they could win too. If this uppity N… fails, we’ll make sure no other N… can win in the future.
woo hoo our Joey ;) I had to go to CNN.. OFA not working well for me.
I think it is YouTube …..it stinks lately…there is always major buffering……
I will wait to watch once it is embedded…..I refuse to watch anything on TeaNN.
I understand, I’m very reluctant to go there and will only do it for POTUS or VP when absolutely necessary.
It has started, I couldn’t get it on the OFA site and switched to CNN.
This is hilarious. I was just watching Jansing and Co. on MSNBC and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus aka RNC PR BS talked about the complaint he filed with the GAO against Pres. Obama for mixing campaign fundraisers with official events and making the taxpayer foot the bill. Taxpayers have always paid the bill for any President’s official trip. Heck we did it for GWB. But the part of the interview that cracked me up was that he came off as a jealous petty cretin. He was mad that college students and others (wherever PBO goes be it official events or not) were chanting 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS! for Pres. Obama    I couldn’t believe that’s why he was so mad that he thought it wise to file a complaint accusing Pres. Obama of campaign fraud. He came off looking like a bloody moron.
“He was mad that college students and others (wherever PBO goes be it official events or not) were chanting 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS! for Pres. Obama”
RNC chairman is not the only one! It’s the majority of the MSM, and the whole GOP who are mad!
I had a suspicion that it was the “four more years” chant that drove them over the edge. It’s not the President’s fault that everywhere he goes, people want to express their thanks and faith in him, demanding that he have another four years. Nothing the GOP can do about that. It’s not like he’s leading the chant. And I noticed when he’s at the political events, he never responds when people do the chant – only when he’s at a fundraiser.
THIS MAKES ME SO FREAKING MAD … IT IS A FREE COUNTRY AND WE ARE FREE TO LOVE OUR PRESIDENT AND WE DO! AND WE ARE GOING TO SHOW IT ; NOW AND FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS AND BEYOND! My fervent prayer is that no one in the GOP is elected President for at least 12 more years- do you hear me? 12 years. We need at least that much time to progress this country in the right direction and maybe the GOP will fix itself or self-deport by that time!
And another thing … if they are complaining about his travel costs because he uses Air Force One, or he has a lot of security, or he is really reaching out to the people … I just wish he would do what Michael Douglas did in the American President and by God say … “My name is Barack Obama and I AM President of the United States!” Suck it up!
You speak for me, too!
This is exactly why Republicans are apoplectic about this. They REALLY hate the fact that he is well liked, well received, and can get his message out like this. There is no doubt that if this were a Republican candidate, or a Republican President, that none of the Republicans would say jack shit about travel costs nor would the media. But since the media wants to make this a horse race and the Republicans want to make this a Romney race, “travel costs” are now grounds for lawsuits/impeachment. This does nothing but tell people, that 1) They are terrified when President Obama does this stuff, and 2) Their candidate sucks even more when he does this stuff. Its just delightful.
If anything we will bear the cost of his flying to make campaign speeches. Collect a little from all of us and put that in a fund for that. They want him to travel by donkey cart or mule cart? They know that the DNC pays for that already. Awful set of crow baits.
GOP Tries To Water Down Violence Against Women Act, Expresses Willingness To Tolerate Some Domestic Abuse
Nope… NO war on women here!
Well, that why McCain is going to speak on the Senate floor today about this IMAGINARY war on women!
Oh great——more allegations of similar SS ‘misbehaviors’ on other trips, notably a trip to El Salvador last year. And of course AP reports that allegations arose right after Janet Napolitano testified that she believed the ‘problem’ in Columbia was an isolated incident. I sense a feeding frenzy here.
Well when the Big Chief isn’t dirty try to throw some dirt on him via others.
I wonder what happened to the conservative writer Ron Kessler, who was on every channel 24/7 with breaking news of this story—–and then fell off the face of the earth.
Bloomberg had an interesting story out this week about the SS, including the info that it is harder to get into the SS than Harvard—–less than 1% admitted last year out of 15,600 applicants.
The extremist right will do anything to harm President Obama; fortunately for the Country, the American people are intelligent and will not fall for it.
Well well, isn’t that something. One of the SS involved followed his father into the SS. So I guess it’s who you know too. My son has a degree in Criminal Justice, applied and never heard back.

FLOTUS is just so completely charming. And the kids are so sweet. LOVE this event.
meta, I love the event too. I’m so sorry FLOTUS and VP Biden came on just about the same time. I did hear some of VP Biden.
Good morning everyone. I’m listening to Vice President Joe Biden tear Romney a new one. Telling all his flip flop on foreign policy.
Myth is a extremist flip flopping phoney and that is a dangerous combination. Its scary to see and I’m terrified for our beloved Country if someone with no moral convictions or core gets to hold the our highest office. The most vulnerable in our society will be at risk and I do believe a Romney Presidency will plunge our wonderful Country in to a depression greater than the one President Franklin Roosevelt guided us out of.
That’s why when I hear people say that it’s just the jobs number that matters, I tell them that it’s going to be MUCH more than that. And despite the MSM “jobs” narrative, the GOP knows fully well that it’s not going to be the sole or even primary determinant of the outcome of this election. That’s why they’re trying to instigate so many “scandals”, culture war issues, and other things that are at best minimally related to the jobs numbers.
While I am not happy with the past three weeks of jobs data, I don’t see it as the end of the world. PBO warned us that there will be ups and downs in this recovery. Jobs are not being created at the pace we would like, but they are still being CREATED. The Fed predicted that the unemployment rate will be below 8% by November, and that seems like good news to me (I am operating under the assumption that the Fed is privy to more info about the state of the economy than we are). While I agree that the unemployment rate is an important factor, I don’t see it as the ONLY thing that will dictate the outcome of the 2012 election. Will women vote to give up their reproductive rights if the unemployment rate does not reach your magic number? Will Latinos forget the anti-immigrant, racist behavior and laws enacted and proposed by the GOP if this magic number is not reached? Will it make Mitt a more polished, trustworthy and likable candidate? I don’t have an extreme amount of confidence in the intelligence of the American people, HOWEVER, I must say that the fact that PBO’s popularity among voters is rising in the face of the constant stream of anti-Obama propaganda the American people have been subjected to for the past 3.5 years gives me HOPE and CONFIDENCE that PBO’s message is reaching the people and the GOP has overplayed its hand with the constant obstructionism. From every metric I have seen, PBO is in a good position to win reelection. The GOP realizes this (this is why the GOP’s big guns are waiting to run in 2016). Let’s keep working to get the word out and do what we can to get PBO reelected. Now is not the time to wallow in angst about things we have absolutely no control over.
So true. I do not pay attention to polls and trends. Like the tide, both go up and down, high and low. Sometimes they will be good, sometimes bad. All we can do is focus on the good things that happened already and are happening now. Things always work out for the greater good anyway.
I am in SoCal and my brother works for a large government contractor and he says they have been laying off people since last September. I am reading about more an more companies here in SoCal laying people off but smaller companies are hiring however, they are employing temporary people for one year before making them permanate employees.
OMG FLOTUS is amazing with these kids. The little “Birthday” girl came right up to her with a big hug :) FOUR more years of FLOTUS please!
Love how she was MOBBED after the event. They can’t wait to hug her!! I SO love this great woman.
You just want her to be your sister, your daughter, your co-worker, your next-door neighbor! Love FLOTUS, too. Such a genteel woman, in the best sense.
You nailed it right there, JO’B.
meta, that was lovely. And the kids ask better questions than those jackasses Jay Carney has to deal with.
Yes and they’re more respectful and sincerely curious.
Amen on that, meta.

FLOTUS is wonderful, and it’s clear we are no the only one who love her, did you see the kids? They all came up for their hugs and high fives, and just to talk to her. I’m so proud of our First Lady.
Anniebella, I thought the kids were about to mob her. They all wanted a hug or high five. It was great to see.
(I had on my silly grin and a co-worker asked if I was watching the President – they know me (lol))
My youngest granddaughter’s nine, and she talks about her all the time. They “know” her from Nickelodeon, etc. So cute.
New Rove ad against the President.
what a lying mofo. That just disgusts me. EFF Rove. What has he actually ever done FOR this country?
just get ready cause this the kind of B.S that Rove and his lowlife people will be doing. Just remain strong. Don’t watch it if you can’t deal with it. I will not watch. We have not even begin to see the B.S. Rove and his super pac with do.
I tweeted him.. made me feel much better ;)
Rove should be on Americas Most Wanted. He and Cheney. Hey Cheney, the heart donor called. He wants back his heart.
lol.. you go Miss Pat :)
No one gives two scoops about this BS. Sure, it could work if the president were not already known. HOW many people saw the look on his face in the Bin Laden raid…and how many are going to see this pathetic sophomoric ad? Old white men mad that they aren’t cool.
Hey Karl, u mad bro?
Karl’s ad will never work like he wants it too. The Obamas and Bidens know their biggest asset is that their personalities are likable. There are people who disagree with President Obama on many things, but they’ll say they like him personally. Karl Rove and the rest of the GOP’s attack on President Obama, the man, isn’t going to work.
Turd blossom needs to get over it….his lame attacks only work on the senile and juvenile GOP adults.
HAHAH!!!!!! Like clockwork I knew this angle would be what they would push. Never mind that all of the stuff they are trying to peg on him at the end is WHAT HE WAS ADDRESSING, yeah it was predictable. If this is what they will push, I almost feel sorry for them.
A valid BJ post
Keep in mind what is at stake here. The mainstream media could cash in on hundreds of millions of dollars of advertising. All they have to do is try to keep the punters interested. And of course, it also keeps the various candidates engaged, and spending. This is the once every four years media xmas season and, with SuperPac money flowing through the streets, it’s the best xmas ever. Expect the media to say anything to grab those dollars. Anything. They don’t give a shit who wins (well, most of them don’t). They just want their cut.
The monery, is, as usual, a major motivating force behind the selection of stories and how they are presented. I was thinking this morning, however, that there is even more to it than that. The media is trying to stay relevant. Newspaper readership is down, television news watching is down. They need to come up with a reason to have people turn to them, so they try to create contrroversy, close races, etc.
After all, if they don’t have the readership or viewers, the money they charge for the advertising can’t be as high. It becomes a closed loop. It is a very sad statement about what is happening in our country right now, and Clinton is somewhat responsible for signing legislation that increased corporate ownership of newspapers, television and radio stations.
Yes—-consolidation has been so destructive. It’s now like there’s almost one source for news and all outlets subscribe. I can’t believe that often when I am checking on some hot news somewhere, the NBC and ABC tv websites will have the exact same write-ups—and the same story on local newspaper websites. No one is doing their own reporting any more which is a big part of the problem. There’s no separation, no independence.
LL’s piece at TPV addressed the same thing.
Glad you brought LL’s piece at TPV, amk. Well worth reading which is per usual when it’s LL.
In light of the UK being in recession, I think we need a special egg on the face for one David Brooks of the NYT and Joe Scarborough of MSNBC

And I don’t know if it was posted—but here is chart detailing GPD of the UK and US
VP Biden’s speech on foreign policy is a must read for everyone. It is the clearest and most comprehensive summary of the administration’s forward looking approach and offers a chance of comparing the administration’s policies and accomplishments with the various contradictory and misleading foreign policy statements made by Mr. Romney. Tweeters, please tweet, writers please write letters, and everyone get a copy of the speech and share it with all your contacts.
I could not move. It was absolutely scathing. I loved the way he debunked all of Romney’s lies. it was a thing of beauty.
Hopefully Chipsticks will get video of VP Biden speech this morning.
I hope Rachel discuss VP Biden’s speech tonight on her show. Foreign policy fascinates her and I am sure she was watching. :)
As long as it fits her belief du jour. I hope she gives this speech the attention it deserves.
SLOW JAM POUTRAGE AT THE CHILDREN’S TABLE
The GOP objects to Obama’s ‘slow jam’
Not only is there precedent, it’s not even especially new for Obama, who, as president, has also appeared on “The Daily Show” and “The Tonight Show.” The stature of the presidency endures.
And yet, not only is Fox News complaining, but the Republican National Committee is launching a web ad going after the president for his “Late Night” appearance.
There have to be better things for Republicans to complain about.
Actually, they got nothing better.
Ky. mom of 3 and school volunteer and activist—-urges parents to get more involved in their childrens’ schools—-will meet with President Obama on the 1 yr. anniversary of Champions of Change, the program that recognizes community leaders who are making a difference. This hit home with me as yesterday my h.s. math teacher daughter called to express her sadness and frustration with the parents of some of her struggling students. Try as she might she cannot seem to get any cooperation or assistance from these parents. They often won’t return calls or emails and even when she is able to contact them and suggests steps for them to take to help their students, there is no follow through. Of course the parents of her honors students are very involved and interested in their kids’ progress and with the school. It’s the whole key to a students’ education success—-parental involvement and making school important.
And a cute note—-this mom said when she told her family about this honor and her WH visit, her 6 yr. old was most interested in if she will get to meet Bo.

Dissent of the day … The Dish
I think you and yours – political bloggers and print pundits – chose many months ago to pretend that there was actually a race for the GOP nomination. People as intelligent as yourself had to know from the start that it would be Romney. Yet you floated Perry, Huntsman, Bachmann, Gingrich, Santorum et al. as fresh flavors of the month and tried to make readers think there was a contest, largely in order to drive page views and readership.
I agree that politics “is a theater at times.” And, yes, “the performances require aesthetic and human judgments…” But to say that does not justify attempting to inject artificial suspense into a situation that does not warrant it.
I have only a 15 minute window of opportunity here – but I have to say I like these lines from the final paragraph that was shared
It’s just that I hate to see you join with the attempt to make Obama v Romney a race in which there’s any doubt about the outcome. Obama will win by a considerably wider margin than he did in 2008. It’s done and dusted. Those who willfully ignore that fact for the sake of creating the faux-suspense that boosts daily page views only cheapen themselves in the long run.’
Briefly: Hi, TODville! Hope your day is going well. Will check in properly later in the evening to see what you’ve all been doing.
Jay Carney will be briefing the jackals momentarily. My heart goes out to him.
I expect we will hear about the “TONE” of Vice President Joe Biden’s speech eviscerating Mitt Romney’s incoherent foreign policy and pathological lying.
The VP f*cked him up, didn’t he? LOL!
If there’s one thing to be gleaned from VP Biden’s foreign policy speech today, it’s the fact that the GOP needs to be very careful about who they select as their VP candidate. Not only should that person have enough charisma to offset Romney’s dull persona against PBO’s, but they must also be sharp witted, articulate and KNOWLEDGEABLE about a wide range of issues to take on VP Biden at the debate this fall. Tell the GOP that I said that Marco Rubio is NOT that person, unfortunately.
I guess Romney may prove me wrong, but I just don’t see him picking someone who may outshine him. The man is a narcissist .
Yes he is a narcissist. But his desperation to be in the WH and his kowtowing to the GOP establishment’s desire will force him to go along with whomever they pick to be his running mate, narcissism aside.
hopefruit, I find your comment EXTREMELY thought provoking. I have frequently wondered if the Bush clan endorsements were in someway contingent upon selecting Rubio as Veep. As a Floridian, it’s well known that Jeb has long adopted Rubio as a protege. They think he’s the conservative answer to the GOPER’s problem with Latino voters.
That “foreign policy” speech yesterday wasn’t accidental. They have been testing out Rubio for that VP slot. They may wind up not picking him especially if it becomes obvious that he will hurt, rather than help the ticket. And so far he does not seem to be helping – not with Latino voters or any other group.
The only way that Robme’s VP pick will make VP Joe Biden not attack is if Robme picks another weak woman lie $arah Palin, which he won’t do. If the GOP twists Condi Rice’s arm and annoint her the VP, then gloves off.
Thank gawd there are no more tundra twits from their ranks. Or is there ?
GOP keeps slamming Obama for agreeing with the GOP
By Steve Benen
Second, and more important, is the fact that the Romney campaign is attacking Obama for taking a position Romney agrees with.
This keeps happening. Two weeks ago, the Romney campaign complained bitterly about Obama approving a free-trade agreement with Colombia — which Romney also supported.
In other words, American Crossroads is bashing Obama for doing what the right hoped he’d do. It’s not identical to the “I’m rubber, you’re glue” tactic Romney is so fond of, but it’s certainly close.
Given all that Democrats and Republicans have to fight about, isn’t it odd that Republicans keep complaining about Obama agreeing with Republicans?
Health insurers are expected to rebate more than $1 billion to consumers and employers this year, under a provision of the federal health overhaul that forces them to offer refunds if they don’t spend enough of the premium dollars they take in on health care.
An early picture of the effects of the requirement, one of the aspects of the health law that drew the most concern from the insurance industry, is emerging from new analyses based on estimates that insurers filed with state regulators.
The nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation, which calculated total rebates at $1.3 billion, says that around $426 million will go to people who bought their own health plans; $541 million will go to large employers and $377 million to small businesses.
In a separate analysis based on the same filings, Goldman Sachs analyst Matthew Borsch estimated the total rebates at around $1.2 billion.
Question: what’s a good amount of time to let pass after a job interview to call the recruiter and ask about the status of the position?
Hi lamh, I’d say 8 to 10 business days. Did you send a “thank you” note after your interview stating what you liked about the company, why you’d be a good “fit” and clarifying anything you felt you inadequately answered?
BTW, Much of my post graduate career was spent as a career counselor in a major state university and running a program at a community college for women seeking to re-enter the workforce.
$1 Billion In Rebates Coming Under ‘Obamacare’
Under a provision in President Obama’s health reform law, health insurance companies are expected to rebate more than $1 billion to consumers and employers this year if they don’t spend enough of in premiums that they collect, reports the Wall Street Journal:
The nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation, which calculated total rebates at $1.3 billion, says that around $426 million will go to people who bought their own health plans; $541 million will go to large employers and $377 million to small businesses.
In a separate analysis based on the same filings, Goldman Sachs analyst Matthew Borsch estimated the total rebates at around $1.2 billion.
This is why the GOP hate it. That is the money that normally goes to their campaigns as payment to do the Health Insurance Companies’ bidding.
And don’t think this won’t have an impact on the election. When people start getting that money, and the Obama campaign runs on that, people will be saying “Obamacare” with pride.
YUP!!! :D :D :D
Thanks Tally. I remember now that you work in that field so you know. Not a peep on MSM about this.
Exactly, Tally. Plus when folks get a surprise check in the mail they are gonna love it…and not want to go back, no matter how much the right cries “FREEDOM”.
Vice President Joe Biden assailed Mitt Romney as “fundamentally wrong” and “totally out of touch” on foreign policy in a campaign speech Thursday — contrasting that to a record of President Barack Obama’s tough but right choices.
Trotting out what’s already become a well-worn campaign line, that “Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive,” Biden offered a twist: “If Governor Romney had been president, could he have used the same slogan in reverse?”
Now we know why certain groups of people so badly wanted VP Biden off the ticket…
And we know why PBO ignored them like a Giraffe ignores a crab.
One of the jackals got the GOP talking points on this. The jackal asked if the OBL mission was going to be used politically during the campaign? He was referring to VP Biden’s speech today. I kid you not. Apparently, the Republicans just don’t like the idea that President Obama did what the Bush administration did not do. They would just prefer he not talk about it. And as we all know, President Obama has some nerve going on the Jimmy Fallon Show to push an important policy issue like student load interest rates increasing.
Check out Powerplay from Georgetown Univ. with @woodhouseb and @seanspicer http://t.co/CpsZF5uW— Rebecca Chalif (@RebeccaDNC) April 26, 2012

Next up on msnbc—Chris Cilizza filling in for Mitchell—–”Will 2016 be a Clinton/Cuomo all New York battle?” What up? Every single day there is some speculation about Hillary running in 2016. Who is driving this? And shouldn’t we get thru this next election before this shift in focus? I swear, the media is completely Clinton obsessed. Did they just say “buyers’ remorse” as the reason for all this Clinton talk? Ye gads, media. Pitiful.
They need the Clintons and all their dysfunctional drama and all the back and forth they go through with the repugs. They hate the Obamas even more than the Clintons, but Barack and Michelle don’t pay any attention to them. The Clintons get in the mud with the repugs and fuel the drama around them. The MSM loves this and they miss it. And this is really the main reason why I don’t wanna see a President Hilary Clinton. I hope to see a fresh face for 2016. I don’t even wanna see Cuomo get the nomination.
That said, the msm looks really foolish even going there. We haven’t even had the 2012 election yet!
Hillary will not run in 2016. I think she truly learned some lessons in 2008, and she’s not prepared to go through that again. She’s doing a fantastic job as SOS, and she’s intelligent enough to know that she will quit while she’s ahead. Furthermore, Bill is not well. He has an unhealthy heart, and going through the stress of an election will be just too much.
this whole hillary resurgence has been really annoying me. i first noticed it a huff post a month ago when the frontpage had stories about it every single day. weird stuff, too. then there was the whole hillary at the bar photos to go along with the ss/prostitues deal. very odd timing on those.
i’ve long thought the clintons were trojan horses for the 1%, and do their bidding from within the democratic party. basically exactly what emoprogressives accuse PBO of being, yet there’s actual proof and track record proving the theory regarding the clinton, but not PBO. i think this recent stuff is by design, especially because of those photos in argentina. this is what the clintons always do. hillary as democratic candidate in 2016 would be one of the worst things to happen for us, and that is exactly why they are trying the “hillary is inevitable” game once again! a little reminder of the phoniness we’re dealing with here:
she’s just so weird!! to show the greatness of PBO, he made the choice to let her be sec of state, and thereby rehab her image, despite all her and her supporters weirdness. the clintons had their time and chances. the world is moving on. we have some incredible possible candidates in 2016 like elizabeth warren and martin o’malley. it’s time to move forward, not backward. i’d like to stop the latest clinton scheme now.
In what world do these Neanderthals live?

SPEAKER JOHN “BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH” BOEHNER
is coming undone. I feel like he is cracking up right before our eyes. The man sucks at his job. This is just remarkable. In a bad way.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), in other words, has said he will no longer honor the agreement he helped strike. Last week, the White House said that’s unacceptable — President Obama is fully prepared to keep his word, but won’t tolerate House Republicans breaking the hard-fought deal.
Today, reporters asked the Speaker about the administration’s veto threat. Here’s a transcript of the exchange:
Q: Last week the acting OMB director sent a letter to Congressional appropriators saying that basically the top line agreed to in the Budget Control Act, that the President would veto it if it’s not met.
BOEHNER: Blah blah blah blah blah, alright, so?
Q: Is that an official response?
I’m literally speechless. The second most powerful man in the US government just acted out a “Seinfeld” episode.
Here is the thing about all of this GOP outwardly insane behavior that worries me:
They don’t seem to be worried about losing their seats and getting voted the fuck out of office. WHY?? Am I to believe everyone of their constituents LIKE this behavior???
Or are they so completely sure the electoral FIX is in via the hacked counting of the votes, that they don’t even need to PRETEND to care?
I don’t think the fix is in. I really think we’re seeing an undoing of the GOP. Remember, they met on day 1 to oppose anything Obama did. And for all that work, they have NOTHING to show for it. The black guy outsmarts them on a regular basis, and does it with the grace of a samurai. The GOP is unhinged, because it knows it’s on the way to the dustbin of history, and can no longer hide its psychosis.
President Obama has an exemplary record on international affairs because the GOP could not filibuster his foreign policy agenda. In spite of all of the GOP obstruction, sabotage and hostage taking PBO has a record of stellar domestic accomplishments. I keep wondering when the light bulb is going to go on in the heads of the American people so they ask themselves a simple question – Just imagine what more could have been done domestically if President Obama had a congress that put the country before party. How much lower would the unemployment rate be now?
I hope you’re right. I don’t trust them as far as I can spit.
I am worried too Tally….I am worried too. That is why this can not be a close election, people need to be vigilent that this election will not be stolen.
Amazing. The speaker of the house, supposedly third in line.
It really is horrifying to think this man is in such a powerful position. I still can’t get over the two weeks on and one week off “work” schedule that Boehner put in place. It’s just astonishing. It just makes me ache to have Speaker Nancy Pelosi again. When Nancy had that gavel, every other week there was a bill signing. She got things done. She was a tremendous asset and partner for President Obama. I just love that woman.
He really said that?
I don’t know what is more disturbing to me: the fact that Boehner acted so childish …. of the fact that the press laughed.
VPOTUS: “Gov. Romney reflexively criticizes the President’s policies, and almost in every case without offering any specific alternative.”— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) April 26, 2012
Ain’t that the truth ?
OR, he says what the President should be doing w/o even checking to see if the President is already doing it. For example: sanctions on Iran.
To Romney: Back away from the Foreign Policy, sir, nice and easy with your hands up.
Tien Le – Your “To Romney” line was one of the funniest comments I’ve seen all day. Thank you, thank you!
Can the twitter crew start reminding BOEHNER and the media that they boasted that they had won the showdown and had got 98% of what they wanted. How can you renege on such a deal?
Now that Chips has gone awol, can we trash this place now ?
