Whenever I have a chance at first i have nothing to say!
You’re just supposed to say first
Yeah, youre not supposed to have enough TIME to write anything!
lol, so true – about the time.
Just “get it in” even if it’s only one word. Otherwise, as others have found out, if you take to long to think about it, you’ll be 12th!!
Or 44th! Oh wait, 44 is a GREAT number! Just finishing lunch, back to it now…
Love them both!!
They were both gorgeous at the 2010 WHCD. I remember FLOTUS cut her hair in 2010 and it sent the fashion world in a tizzy because the blunt cut was so edgy and so on trend.
Cheer up LOL!
Oh I’m up Hey ladies, I guess we are not alone. Even the raindrop on PBO’s left ear doesn’t want to let go.
That’s so cute!
Chica, WOW WOW WOW
I’m supposed to read the rest of the thread now? Really? REALLY???
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? How the hell am I supposed to read the rest of the thread??
OMG, somebody call the paramedics. Imma need some oxygen. SERIOUSLY Wheeewww, LAWD!!
The 44th and the 45th!!
Now you’ve done it. Thoze two side by side with my fave “wetlook” pose will land me on the naughty mat for the rest of the night. UhmUmm um!
I knew I was asking for trouble with that pic Jackie!!!
Oh yea. No doubt I will have lots of company on thenaughty mat today.
You nailed it Admiral.
Congrats to maryl1 and LOL on first!!!
I am so excited. Can’t wait to see PBO.
Looking forward to this tonight.. will have to take a nap first Congrats on first!
Encouraging everyone, especially these folk, to visit TOD and read HZ’s exceptional comment posted yesterday evening …
@BarackObama @whitehouse @davidaxelrod @Messina2012 @MichelleObama PLEASE READ THIS theobamadiary.com/2012/04/27/pre… You will be warmed & happy you did.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) April 28, 2012
HZ’s comment was another beautiful comment. I hope they DO read it!
Substantively, Biden refuted all the right-wing criticisms (except one, which I’ll get to) of the administration on Iran, the Middle East, Russia, Poland, Libya. He took them on directly and pointedly and said: They are either lying or . . . well, there is no “or”; they’re lying. He gave evidence—of mutual security arrangements with Israel, for example, and the quiet strides that have been made in the Russian “reset.” The kinds of things that never make the papers or the shout-fests but that are real and meaningful. On each point, he quoted Mitt Romney, who said for example that getting bin Laden wasn’t that important, and who (shocker here) has flip-flopped on other matters, like Afghanistan.
Time to put a name with the man at the center of the Secret Service scandal. Arthur Huntington has been identified as the agent who refused to pay a prostitute in Colombia, and then sparked a sweeping investigation that’s led to the discipline and firings of 12 Secret Service agents. The agent, who lives in Saverna Park, Md., is a married father of two whose wife leads Bible study in the neighborhood. In light of the scandal, the Secret Service has created new rules forbidding all foreigners but hotel staff in agents’ rooms and barring them from visiting “seedy establishments.”
It’s clearly Obama’s fault for revoking DADT.
I’m not sure why they’re releasing all his personal information. As a Secret Service agent, he still had access to secured information, so isn’t it dangerous to release his name and home town – including the number of children, etc.?
The guy does not hold elected office. I understand what he did was wrong, as a married man, and also reflected poorly on the United States–but this is tabloid journalism at is finest/worst. This couple has now put their house up and sale. Imagine, if everyone who cheated on their spouse, were outed by CNN. I’m not surprised…when Piers Morgan still holds a job at CNN after his name being batted around in the phone hacking scandal—I can’t really say I’m surprised.
Yeah – the poor quality and ethical standards of journalism today is shocking! They don’t even stop to think of the ramifications of their actions to score a sensational point – and then they move on to the next victim tomorrow.
It’s stuff like this that really makes you value the high standard to which President Obama and his people have held themselves. The media (and GOP) are like vultures. They pounce on anything and never hold themselves accountable. This is why Romney’s whining at any criticism or fact checking sent in his direction is ultra-pathetic. He won’t stand up to the rigors of the Presidency – or even just the Presidential campaign. I heard someone this morning say that Romney’s been playing in the AAA league, and now he’s in the major leagues.
number of children AND a picture of the man’s house.
I am with you theo67. There has to be some concerns regarding giving all that detail.
desertflower, the guy was married. Did you say married?
What’s going on over here? Nothing new in what seems like forever!
It’s a good day in Seattle!
Bringing this over from the last thread because before I finished it, you had all moved on. Just too slow today.
Well today I joined the Harrisburg, PA segment of the national ‘ war on women march’ and it was great, even though the weather was cold and blustery. Every speech, every sign was about VOTING to get Republicans out of the state house and the Congress. Everybody was on point with that one central message and there were tons of Obama buttons. A state democratic senator excoriated Romney for telling a young woman that the poor could just shop around for health care once Republicans succeed in defunding Planned Parenthood. The anti-Romney boos were deafening as they were anytime Boehner’s name was mentioned. Gov Corbett is not going to live down his ‘Close Your Eyes’ statement any time soon and it’s going to haunt him into 2014, I’m happy to say. One of the speakers said that women actually make up 54 percent of the potential electorate and if they all come out and vote in a united effort, they can’t be stopped. I like the fact that people weren’t just expressing rage and anger, they were focusing on what needs to happen in November and when asked if they were fired up, the response was a huge YES. Women are royally outraged by the demeaning, ugly, intrusion legislation that’s being passed in this country and as the list of laws was read off from state to state, it all looked like a deliberate onslaught against our rights as full human beings. The 31 male R’s who voted no to the Violence Against Women Act were booed and I hope that act of cowardice lives to haunt them all their days. Our job is to harness this energy–make sure everyone is registered, make sure they focus on the enemy and make sure they get out to vote. As someone said today, we saw what happened in 2010, so NO EXCUSES for not voting in 2012.
Thank you for the report and thank you for going. I wasn’t able to go to our local one. I truly believe women will remember!!!!
I hope you don’t mind but I pasted this comment of yours with credit to you over at POU because people were asking for more eye witness reports & this was so good. My daughters attended a rally in CO but I won’t get their impressions until tomorrow. Sis & I were committed to voter registration today so we could not attend anything here. If I get info I will share.

A poll conducted for the North Dakota Democratic Party gives Democrat Heidi Heitkamp a 5-point lead in the state’s Senate race.
Heitkamp takes 49 percent in the poll, compared with 44 percent for Republican Rick Berg. That’s a small gain from December, when the two candidates were within one point of each other.
That lead for Heitkamp is in spite of negative views of the Democratic Party within the state: 48 percent of those surveyed had an unfavorable view of the Democrats, compared with just 34 percent who approve. Those numbers are practically flipped for the Republican Party: 53 percent viewed Republicans favorably, compared with 31 who viewed them unfavorably.
On the presidential level, Mitt Romney has a big advantage over President Obama: 51 percent of those surveyed said they’d choose Romney, compared to 32 percent who chose Obama. And a full 62 percent said they think the country is headed in the wrong direction, another figure that’s not great news for Obama.
This is very important!
Do they have the internet up there?
Not that important at this stage of the game, Jovie. We already know that 43% of the country was willing to vote for McCain and Palin, so they’re already suspect. Plus, enough people voted for Republicans in 2010 after seeing them actively work to obstruct any effort to recover from the recession they caused. Some states are going to be fully Republican states, despite evidence that they’re voting against their interests. There are just some states that will get the message, but will be serving a different purpose and a different master. We have to focus on the states we can win, and reaching out to people in our own networks who may be swayed by information they might not have seen before.
ovie what exactly is you or (Emily Schulthesis) point in posting this drivel about “not great news for Obama?” Was North Dakota ever an important state for PBO or the Democratic Party? Furthermore, why should what N.Dakotans think carry more weight than the fact that Obama leads Mitt Romney in 16 out of 18 national polls, with wide margins among key groups including Women, Hispanic, Jews, Youth, Blacks and LGBT?
I think the point of this article really SHOULD be that for a RED state like North Dakota (which PBO doesn’t expect to win nor is he trying to win), it’s highly interesting that a DEM is leading the Repub in by 5 points the state senate.
What does it say on Snark Knoller’s hat ?
“Mitt Romney is my homeboy”
I wonder who set this up….hmmmmm….
Mitt Romney is my homeboy and he has a button that says “I heart Mitt”
Mitt Romney is my homeboy
I saw snarkknoller on twitter today and i started following him right away! i’d rather follow snarkknoller than the real knoller!
Thanks for the enlargement….. ( I have old eyes )
Derrick Rose finished the season. PBO must be heartbroken now.
Out for season??? Wow!
Well, not quite yet. He has to have an MRI done.
He torned his ACL. It’s official.
Ah. Man, what a way to end your season.
Oh my! What happened? We can’t lose Rose, wise and talented beyond his years.
It is what it is and they are never going to escape the reality that, if President Obama hadn’t been as briliant as he is, they would have taken America through a Great Depression to not only ensure President Obama’s defeat, but crush the opportunity for anyone other than a white male #KOCHSTER to occupy the White House. For them the bonus of a Depression would have been their ability to end Medicare and raid the SS Trust fund, which we now know they will do if they get the chance because those are among the consequences of the Ryan-Romney budget plan. And, perpetual war would have been their gig.

So, when is the MSM going to stat pointing out the facts that Businessman Romney was an utter failure in Massachusetts. If the MSM is going to keep crowing about how successful he was as a businessman, then pray tell, why didn’t those qualities translate in Massachusetts. He worked at Bain in the 90s, he became governor in 02.
If the MSM is going to keep crowing about how Romney is such a turn around artist because he “rescued the winter games”, then pray tell, why was Massachusetts 47th in job creation during Romney’s term?
“Romney took office during an economic uptick. Massachusetts had a net job growth of 1.4 percent under Romney. However, that was far slower growth than the national average of 5.3 percent” source: http://www.factcheck.org/2012/01/romneys-shaky-job-claims/
Stick that in your fact lunch box Mark Knoller.
Off to tweet this LOL. Very good points.
Romney campaign aide claims auto bailout was Romney's idea thkpr.gs/IIh2uT #etchasketch— ThinkProgress (@thinkprogress) April 28, 2012
Mitt and his aides are delusional and liars. They really think Americans will forget him being agsinst the auto bailout.
FFS, there’s no limit with these people? Let Detroit go bankrupt……..
Really? That’s how it happened? I also hear it was Romney’s idea to free the slaves & Lincoln copied him.
HHmmm, How does R-money etcha-sketch away from “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”?
Seriously, how does he do that?
LIfe in the Romney universe- Romney invented idea of auto bailout: http://t.co/X9EoywuK – according to #etchasketch campaign aide.
Romney says there really were WMD in Iraq.
(snark: Romney imposter actually wrote the Op-Ed against auto bailout, and Romney really did invent the internet)
If you think WH CBS Correspondent Mark Knoller is annoying; you should #FF @SnarkKnoller. The parody account is HILARIOUS!— (@utaustinliberal) April 28, 2012
You know what it reminds me? Mmmm I can’t think of the twitter name now but that person, he or she, was pretending to be Glenn Greenwald…it was hilarious. It’s on my list.
Yea, who was that?
Glennobot’s been awfully quiet lately.
Ah, yes, he has been GB, I think he just decided Greenwald had become hopelessly irrelevant and decided to move on to Knoller??

Brian Williams goes into the Situation Room with President Obama to learn details of Bin Laden raid this next Wed. at 9:00p.m. on NBC’s Rock Center. Williams also interviews many of those who were present that night, including Biden, Clinton and Adm. Mike Mullen.
The clowns at HP are freaking out about that…..
Good. I also love that Wolfe (pathetic fool) was told he couldn’t bring cameras if he came to the Situation Room, but Brian Williams brought his cameras and had access to everyone. Karma.
Linda, sure they are freaking out, because it’s not they who are going.
HIdee all you O”s!!! A dreary, but great gettin up day again TODIes! Look for me at the WHCD. That’ll be me in my 5″ stilettos and wearing an off the shoulder, backless, low cut front, split to the hip on both sides, mini dress. I hope it’s not air conditioned in there. Don’t want to freeze my……ti….er…, my…..tippy toes off.
New post everyone:
I had to go check the article
One of Mitt Romney’s top advisers said Saturday that President Obama’s decision to bailout Chrysler and General Motors was actually Romney’s idea.
“[Romney's] position on the bailout was exactly what President Obama followed. I know it infuriates them to hear that,” Eric Fehrnstrom, senior adviser to the Romney campaign, said.
“The only economic success that President Obama has had is because he followed Mitt Romney’s advice.”
I don’t even know what to say.
“One of Mitt Romney’s top advisers said Saturday that President Obama’s decision to bailout Chrysler and General Motors was actually Romney’s idea”.
