Hi Roberta, how are you? I signed in and saw your name and Sue in M came to mind. For some reason she has been on my mind off and on this week. Did you ever dialogue on line here with her? I sure hope all is well with her, wherever she is.
Thanks for acknowledging my artistic brilliance, VC. I don’t begrudge the Munch dude his $119,922,500 at all, especially because he died over 50 years ago and won’t see a cent of it, but there’s still a part of me that wonders if he saw in to the future and copied my work:
Don’t mind giving credit where it’s due, CC. However, I am going to gently point out that you are a wee bit off this time -Willard’s hair seems unusually messy.
I work for a guy who uses his tax cuts for this kind of stuff. Not quite in that ballpark but in that realm. He has created my job, I guess. I’d rather more Americans had health care and infrastructure spending. I’d find work elsewhere.
Hi Chips & TODville, I imagine you have all had a busy day…..without me. I’m happy though, cause I noticed (and heard on the radio) that the Big Boss had already been in the air for a couple of hours when those with little value on life sacrificed themselves for their cause. I’m off to see some of what I missed in this and other posts. Good Night , in case we don’t run into each other. VC
That was a start in the day this morning! I couldn´t stop laughing, when I saw your Munch-Variation. Nice idea, thank you!! Especially nice, because it was a short night, as I had to read the whole Vanity Fair article last night and thought about it for quite a long time. Obama obviously has always been a very nice guy. And he checked exactly, who he gets involved with. That´s why there are no bad words, no bad feelings. For me most remarkably is his credo – I would summon it like that: money is nothing, ambition is all. I recall, that in one of his books he writes something like: a personn, who is only looking for money, is not ambitious. However in his first years in Chicago (before going to Harvard) he was struggling and asked himself, to what extend he has to make sacrifices and to what extend it is justified to make a decent living, being able to raise a family decently….anyway. He could have taken easier paths, many times in his life. Thank God, he has not!
Knock knock

Yipeeee………..Thanks All.
Funny about “The Scream”: it’s going under the hammer this week. Expected to go for $80 million.
It went for $119 million.
What can you even say about such an expenditure?
‘What can you even say about such an expenditure?’
There’s hope for Chips’ masterpieces years down the road???
