Whoa! Amk, good on ya’!
amk?!?! Woooooooot! I know what you want: yellow!
Oh, go on then:
I really would like to know what kid said/asked that made her laugh so much.
I’m guessing: “amk will be first one day.”
smart ass (again)
Also. Too. Laughing out loud.
I think he proposed. Seriously. Look at his adorable face! How could anyone ever turn that down??? Whatever he’s saying he is living his TRUTH! He is in earnest! He is RIGHTOUS.
Few photos make me want to breed. This one does.
Kids do say the damndest things, don’t they ?
He’s asking her: “Can I marry Sasha when we grow up Mrs Obama?”
LOL. I think that’s a distinct possibility.
I’m a man of steadiness and (constancey) that might not be spell correct. Butt thanks for the laugh Mitt, you even have the First Lady laughing.
Chips made a funny:)
Whoa. LOL – That was just cruel…
When did AA get all this power? Did I miss something somewhere?
2nd Runner Up!
Oh man. I have to get that New Yorker issue for my collection.
It gets better mitt romney version his laugh at the end makes me cringe I hate bullys
More than the bullying aspect of the incident, Mitt’s laughter IMO highlights his total cluelessness and his insensitivity. Even if at the time of the cruelty he was too ‘young’ to have empathy, etc (yeah, I know age has nothing to do with this character trait), given all that has been happening in our time with regards to ‘It Gets Better’ an individual with an ounce of feeling would not have laughed. If you think about it, Mitt’s laughter, at least in his public life, always seems to come at the expense of someone else’s pain. He is IMO one mean, heartless, selfcentred individual.
If you consider the recent comments Romney has made in certain situations with these publicized incidents in high school, I am led to conclude that he is a mean spritied person. The recent comments I’m referring to was his unnecessary dig out the cookies being from the local 7-11 (instead of a simple, Thank you), his unnecessary dig at President Carter (in re: the killing of Bin Laden), his unnecessary dig about the rain ponchos while his was in Florida.
How is it that 6 people have posted BEFORE I get the email in my inbox about the new thread?
We are fired up, GGail, and very freakin’ fast (sometimes)! I was tossed for posting too quickly, this is not the first time I hae been chastised! Oops, oh well!
I’m beginning to think that amk and others blocked my notification just so they could be FIRST. ::lol:
You know you might have a point there GGail. In my case someone tampered with my log in at just the moment I was about to log in. Of course all this presumed chicanery only whets my appetite for the next round.
Well, I did call dibs on all future first posts. So you can’t say you weren’t forewarned.
And don’t listen to vc. She is a CT nut.
Those babies are too cute for words.
Hey utaustinliberal….SCANDAL got renewed for a second season!!
Yup! Yup! I know. Super excited.
In the first picture, there’s a baby with a red shirt looking on with a bit of jealousy in his little eyes that President Obama is focusing on the other baby.

Asshole! and who is that horrible woman? How can a person be so against people who work for a living that they want to take all their rights away? I want to swear. I want to swear really really bad.
She’s a BILLIONAIRE that wants MORE for herself…and wants Walker to help her get it, so she donated over $500,000 after he said this.
I don’t understand these people AT ALL! Her attitude is like she is a victim. Please save us from these terrible working people!!
I wonder what people like her would do if the working people finally said, “Enough!”? Would she do the work herself?
Thing is. I don’t care that she has money. There are plenty of gracious and good hearted people who have money. But some people can’t just enjoy the money. They have to use their power to inflict pain on others.
She needs to spend a year working for minimum wage and cleaning her own home. (Selling stock to make ends meet – Not allowed)
This is absolutely true.

What time will FLOTUS be speaking at N.C. A&T?
I’m here in North Carolina, I will see if I can fine out.
If I’m not mistaken, things will start at 10am.
i do not like….ED Rendell…he does not like the President….and he told the President to man up regarding gay marriage…but he always gives the President back handed compliments…..
i mute my TV when he comes on…
I don’t like him either! I seems as though it hurts him to say something positive about President Obama…he always has a ‘but’ after he says something supportive. I don’t like him.
Fast Eddie Rendell is a hasbeen. I doubt even his family cares about his opinion. He had a chance to make a difference in PA and he blew it.
co-sign. he was only one step better than the current gov.
*I doubt even his family cares about his opinion*
So funny, Jackie! And if I didn’t detest Ed Rendell so much, I’d just keep laughing at him.
He is one of those Clinton die hards. I get the feeling the Obama team kept him at arms length, didn’t treat him like the bigdog he believes himself to be. Still, he is waaaaaaaaaaay better than this monster they have now for govner.
Those kids in the ‘Mother’s Day’ video are just precious.

Bueno, Amanda Peet! MAHALOS, UT!~
I want to sent FLOTUS a Happy Mother’s Day wish. How do I do that?
That Mother’s Day video is so sweet, and the kids are too. The young girl who said, I’m sorry I was frozen that was so cute. Thanks to FLOTUS for all she do.

Go Fuck yourself Dan Choi. Go Fuck yourself.
Co-sign a coupla times.
We can all sleep now. Glad he’s voting for the one guy that ALWAYS had his back.
Hope Dan Choi doesn’t think the President moved on his feelings about marriage equality because of that stunt he pulled at the White House (he chained himself to the fence, didn’t he?)
Yes he did chain himself to the fence…in uniform. He’s lucky he’s not in the brig right now, I would think! He is quite self absorbed so I suppose he could think that it was HIS fault that the President made this announcement. Jerkoff.
df we wouldn’t have his sorry ass in a Navy brig. He’s Army and he goes to the stockade.
Yeah, some of the people who’ve been talking absolute crap about POTUS since his inauguration are now patting themselves on the back for getting him to do the right thing. Fools.
He is a single issue voter!
Glad to hear it Dan, always wondered why you wouldn’t give PBO a break in the past. But glad to have you aboard. And bring as many others aboard the Good Ship Obama as you can. We need all the help we can get.
I have a theory that this guy may have had untreated PTSD and instead of being encouraged to seek help he was exploited by the media and others who should have known better. For all you know he’s seen the light, gotten some help, gotten stabilized with medication and now has a different perspective on things.
Another theory is that he’s just looking for attention and possibly trying to get back on the TV screen.
I don’t care. If somebody wants to join the po get PBO re-elected, I am going to throw them overboard, specially when they rightfully or wrongly can bring others along. Now is not the time to hold grudges or to play the purity game.
I am not going to throw them overboard if the want to work to get PBO re-elected. Horrible typing. I may have to go back to lurking.
You’re japa21 but it’s hard to hug someone who once spit in your face.
That’s the way I feel, japa. I hate his past actions of hate but I am totally glad he’s not being like some emosuckers and still whining about PObama!
Oh wow, I guess we should get down on our knees and kiss his boots. I hope this puts an end to his foolishness but I won’t count on it.

I want to make him ashamed he even THOUGHT about the WH!! Crush him like the goo he is.
up is down, left is right with these lying bastids. At least the bloomberg piece said this
Romney has called for repeal the Dodd-Frank law that tightened regulation of financial institutions, which includes a ban on proprietary trading by banks with federally insured deposits. President Barack Obama helped guide the measure into law in 2010.
Thank fsm for small favors.
Can you put that link up, amk? Thanks.
Its the bloomberg link you posted above.
I need a drink….
Who doesn’t with all the teh crazy flying around everywhere ?
Amen to that, Mr!!
I got mine already.
The JP Morgan debacle is toxic for Romney so he is doing a backward modified flip flop with a triple axle to distract attention from the fact that he wants to repeal Dodd-Frank. But the PBO’s campaign is having none of it.
Obama Campaign Knocks Romney In Wake Of JP Morgan Debacle
“Rolling back Wall Street reform, as Mitt Romney proposes, would be reckless,” says Obama camp spokeswoman Lis Smith in a statement to TPM. “The law promotes transparency, limits the types of risky investments that can be made with deposits insured by federal taxpayers, and prevents investment losses at one bank from threatening the whole financial system. Returning to the failed policy of letting Wall Street write their own rules would put all of us at greater risk of another financial crisis and leave us vulnerable to another taxpayer-funded bank bailout like the one shortly before President Obama took office.”
I can’t wait for the debates…he’ll get smacked so hard and called out on all this bs..
Any idea who the moderators are?
ROFLMAO Chips did you make those videos of FLIP FLOP Mitt if so they are about to go viral. YouTube is so unkind to RomBULLY.
Pres.Obama’s declaration apparently upset some people. I was treated to an anti-gay rant at the bus stop. Man even had a megaphone. Going on and on about ‘its Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve’ and “politicians aren’t the moral authority’ ( right, but you standing on the sidewalk shouting at people, you’re the moral authority?). No one was really listening but he was going on and on as if Pres.Obama said it was mandatory and he just had to run out and tell the whole world that homosexuality is wrong etc. etc.
Oh and this was a black guy.
Well, he is ignorant. Polls came & people support PBO
Meanwhile, he’s probably on the DL with the same Steve that he’s lambasting at the bus stop. I think these people are in the minority, and they will find themselves increasingly marginalized and outdated. Just like the Teabaggers who are breathing their last gasps. Progress is happening, and if you don’t get with the program, then get out of the way. Period.
Oh F**k! God/AND/OR/Goddess LOVES EVERYBODY. That’s the way I feel about it.
Ignorance is colorblind
The USA is not a Christian nation as most would like you to believe. The Constitution and the laws prohibit discrimination. We as citizens swear to uphold the laws and to protect and defend the Constitution. The Constitution also guarantees the right to practice your religion or none at all. Which means, your opinion and faith is just that . . . yours.
Everyone is required to uphold the laws and religion has nothing to do with policy making. It is two separate things.
Arguing with him is a non starter, but if you bring their attention to the core of the issue, which is the laws of the land and the Constitution, there is no legitimate argument to be made.
When is PBOs first commencement address this year?
It’s this MONDAY!!! Barnard College (Columbia U) @ 12:30PM.
Thanks mate. These are my fave speeches of his.
But while the U.S. economy under President Obama continues to outperform the austerians in Europe, American growth and employment numbers could have been much better. Better, that is, if steep cuts by state and local governments hadn’t undone the indisputable job creation benefits of the federal stimulus. Thanks to intransigent Republican governors and their obstructionist GOP allies in Congress, the shrinking American public sector has slowed the recovery from the Bush recession and added a full point to the U.S. unemployment rate.
That’s the word from Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal, where Justin Lahart explained that the “unemployment rate without government cuts: 7.1%.”
It’s good the WSJ is admitting this. Now I want to see it in USA Today, the front post of the NYT and Wapo and on every network. People need to know who is holding us back and they need to know it now.
Those assholes should have been the ones leading Murdoch’s WSJ on this.
When we designed our TIGER program here at DOT, we wanted a competitive grant process that rewarded communities for coming together to solve problems. Towns, cities, counties, regions–they know what they need to help get people from place to place and boost economic development, and we wanted to hear their ideas.
Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake City, and the Utah Transit Authority put together a strong partnership and submitted an innovative idea that made the most of the community’s resources and strengths: the Sugar House Streetcar. And yesterday, I had the great pleasure of helping that community celebrate a very festive groundbreaking for the new line
This is actually my neighborhood (SugarHouse). It goes right by the place I grew up as a kid! I’m excited.
Must Read! Romney’s master plan…since he HAS no ideas of his own….
Two funny things happened this week on Mitt Romney’s way to the White House. First, the man who cried “let Detroit go bankrupt” announced “I’ll take a lot of credit” for President Obama’s million-job saving rescue of the American auto industry. But just as telling was the Republican’s claim that, despite Obama’s “Forward” campaign slogan, it was the President who was “looking backward.” After all, Mitt Romney isn’t merely offering an even more reactionary resurrection of George W. Bush’s failed policies. As it turns out, from his charges on immigration reform and women’s issues to labeling Obama an out of touch “Marie Antoinette” and so much else, Romney’s strategy is call to the kettle black.
(Click a link below for the details on each.)
“Out of Touch”
“Spent Too Much Time at Harvard”

Romney Blames Obama For Foreclosures After Telling Homeowners Not To ‘Try To Stop The Foreclosure Process’
DF, it’s always opposite day in the house of Mitt. And that includes all houses and mansions already built and about to be built. I think people need a little plastic Romney decoder ring (showing my age). If it’s coming out of his mouth, it’s a lie. If he’s blaming the president for something, he did it himself. The code is simple cause he’s just so predictable. Honestly if anyone were forced to listen to this man and his tedious wife for any length of time they’d be bored into a coma.
I know…he’s SUCH a slime. I would have more respect for anyone that had policy ideas, even if they were not what I would agree with. This guy is a FLAT OUT LAZY LIAR!
I remember the statement but I’ll have to paraphrase: let the foreclosures happen and investors will sweep them up and rent them out. Let vulture capitalists profit from kicking people out of their homes. An effing monster.
Fuck Romney. Let’s dance! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx5CQz1MjiI

And yes…you can have some!
Ok, thanks! I prefer vodka, but I can get down with gin, I use to drink it when I was younger. This is my song and always gets me on the dance floor whether I’m on my level or not.
It didn’t embed! I haz a sad! Let’s try again:
Nice:) How about this one? I love him, and I was so sad to lose him.
I love it!! I was sad when he died too. I had a bomb Teddy P best hits cd and I let someone borrow it and never saw it again! Ugh!! This is one of my favorite songs of his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvdOvUv0mYk

Good night, Lamh35.
Of course he does.
So Mitt thinks it’s okay for gays to adopt kids because it already allowed, but it is not okay for those kids parents to marry because they are not a man and a woman. REALLY? How does that make any sense? Trying to have it both ways?
Hi:) Thought I was all alone again…
Hello! Theo?? Not again! You can’t change your avatar again just when I’ve gotten used to picking you out in a crowd!! What’s behind this change? Romney’s MO rubbing off?
Not sure what happened to my avatar – I had some trouble logging in tonight, so that might be the problem. I miss my old one…

Maybe it’ll work out REAL WELL
I’ve thought long and hard about this bullying incident with Romney, and in the past I’ve described him here as mean and even cruel in some of his comments and interactions on the campaign trail. Yes, we all did things in high school we are not proud of, but for the life of me I cannot imagine participating or condoning the type of behavior set forth in this incident. I have concluded that character is indeed formed by the time we are 18. That doesn’t mean we can’t change, but the inner soul and values are there and formed. Tonight I went back and read an extensive piece that David Maransiss did on PBO in August of 2008 in the Washington Post documenting his history and early years. His high school friends describe him as “kind and protective,” even in high school. In short, I believe that the things described about these men from there high school days reflect who they are today. Unfortunately, there are many voters, particularly here in the South, who would much prefer a leader who is a bully to one who was and is described as kind and protective. But I believe the vast majority of Americans will swing to PBO’s character when push comes to shove.
I won’t be around much this weekend but wishing everyone a great one, and a particular;y warm wish for all the mothers!
Thank you Foxfire:) I was listening to Randi Rhodes today, and she mentioned the same thing. That SOME people would think that Romney being a bully is a GOOD thing. How screwed up is that?
The President is kind and protective but he’s also tough and fearless. He has demonstrated physical, moral and political courage that Mitt Romney could never come close to.
Mitt Romney is only brave when picking on those weaker than himself and even then he has to have his “pack” with him. Barack Obama is brave in the defense of those who need him to stand up for them. Barack Obama is a real man.
The way mittbot went running to his old pal to speak good about him speaks volumes about his despicable character. I just hope most americans aren’t that stoopid to fall for his crap.
The Dems have two things going for them; love of the President and horror at the right wing mess the Republicans have become. The Republicans only have negatives to motivate them.
Be back soon, family…dog food run!
Desertflower, what you know about this?
I never heard this before! I thought this was another song called “Love Power” that I remember from back in the day…can’t remember who sang it though…now it’s bothering me.
If you consider the recent comments Romney has made in certain situations with these publicized incidents in high school, I am led to conclude that he is a mean spritied person. The recent comments I’m referring to was his unnecessary dig about the cookies being from the local 7-11 (instead of a simple, Thank you), his unnecessary dig at President Carter (in re: the killing of Bin Laden), his unnecessary dig about the rain ponchos while his was in Florida. It adds us to pure meaness.

Apparently they are worried that PBO’s move has given him the initiative on this issue.
Well, isn’t that special. Too late for them though. The Teabaggers have taken over the party and they won’t be having ANY of this! You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas! I would venture to say that this should also include ANY social issue…the country is WAY beyond where these wingnuts are. This may be their Waterloo.
DF, Romney would be crucified by his wingnuts if he shifted on gay marriage now, weeks before the nomination. This is exactly what they said he would do and they would be alienated and disgusted. He sold whatever remnants of his soul he had left to the tea party and there’s no going back. Of course, being a lying hypocrite has never stopped him before, but people are going to get whiplash from all his flopping around and the smell of phony is going to get overwhelming.
Can Mitt flip flop on the gay marriage issue? I don’t think so.
We know he has on just about any other issue.
If he can flip flop on the auto industry, nothing is off limits.
I think the man has a chronic disorder. He can’t help himself and the most boggling aspect is that when he flips, he actually believes that was the view he always held.
“Apparently they are worried that PBO’s move has given him the initiative on this issue.”
Yeah, that would be a first, wouldn’t it ….
Sigh, when will they stop underestimating this guy (I’m starting to wonder if that isn’t an aspect of their racism).

Hi professor. Nice to see you again.
I think the thing that gets lost in terms of religion is that the Constitution states you have the right to a religion AND the right to have no religion at all.
That is what is causing all the mix up. They forget the second half of the requirement which is why you get the Say Pays saying the USA is a Christian nation. No it isn’t.
another thing is that Christianity isn’t the only religion. Everyone has the right to practice their own. Even Mormonism (here’s looking at you Romney).
Betty White reveals per presidential preference. . .

Many blacks shrug off Obama's new view on gays boston.com/news/politics/… via @BostonDotCom— goldietaylor™ (@goldietaylor) May 12, 2012
But this is not even news, really. PBO has been pushing pro-LGBT legislation from day 1 and has pretty much given the indication that he’s moving towards complete equality for the LGBT community, yet his support among Blacks has remained sky high – the highest of any single demographic over the last 3 years. So I’m not sure why the MSM seems to be surprised with this latest move and it’s (non) effect on Black support.
Al Sharpton, David Dinkins, David Patterson, Corey Booker and Jesse Jackson have all OPENLY endorsed SSM as politicians, and their support among their Black constituents did not diminish for that reason!!
Yes, the Black community must address the homophobia that plagues the Black Church, but on the national level for this country to move forward, the focus needs to be primarily on the White evangelical and Mormon groups who are mobilizing and have 6 times the collective power and financial influence of the Black church!
This President is clearly trying to distract from high gas prices by lowering gas prices.— (@LOLGOP) May 12, 2012
Brilliant. President Obama, as always, is working tirelessly for the American people. And that includes the Teabaggers whether they like it or not. Yes, he is trying to make their lives better too. What a snob?
Meanwhile, the Republican Party has been doing nothing but sabotaging the economic recovery. They spend all of their time trying to blame President Obama for the countries problems while pretending they had nothing to do with it. Mitt Romeny and the GOP should be known as the Do Nothing – Please Look At That Shiny Object Party. That’s their governing strategy. They have disdain for the American people. They are not fit to take the oath of office.
The Senate just took a big step towards filibuster reform: wapo.st/KOqFuQ— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) May 12, 2012
In 2010, there was an effort — led mostly by freshmen Democratic senators like Tom Udall and Jeff Merkley — to reform the filibuster. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid squelched their campaign. Last night, he apologized to them on the Senate floor:
If there were ever a time when Tom Udall and Jeff Merkley were prophetic, it’s tonight. These two young, fine senators said it was time to change the rules of the Senate, and we didn’t. And they were right. The rest of us were wrong — or most of us, anyway. What a shame…
Mr. President, I am finished here, but I just want to say again, for those that are listening here or watching, Senator Udall and Senator Merkley want to do something to change the rules regarding filibuster. If there were anything that ever needed changing in this body, it’s the filibuster rule, because it’s been abused, abused, and abused.
Reid’s comments came after Republicans filibustered his attempt to move a House-passed compromise reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank. But the proximate cause of Reid’s ire hardly matters. The point is that he’s concluded he was wrong to oppose filibuster reform when Democrats had the chance.
Harry, You think? WHY did you believe MM? WHY?
Yup, a case of too little, too late. Imagine if he had had the cajones & foresight to do it in 2008 (even before udall &merkeley) , how many bills, how many appointments could have been pushed before 2010 happened. Heck, it could have even changed the 2010 electoral map.
Like I said yesterday, you can’t make a gentleman’s agreement with a group of politicians who are morally bankrupt. You can’t call the senate the greatest deliberative body in the world when one party shuts down deliberation. Talk about a delayed reaction Harry. I understand there is this desire for comity but there was no reason to think the Republicans were going to change their behavior. They made no secret of their intentions. Filibuster abuse has rendered the government dysfunctional. But we knew that early on.
Goooooood Morning….Chips…GM TOD…
i think Harry Reid came to this conclusion…a lil bit ago….but in this time of telling it like it is…he decides to do the same….
we the voters have to give him the chance to make up for it….
Good Morning TOD!
Good morning TOD!
