DF, Booker is getting pathetic. He did the damage and his opinion or non opinion no longer matters. That he would need the president to explain anything so obvious tells me he’s either stupid or lying. I don’t think he’s stupid. He knew and he did it deliberately.
He’s certainly lost his shine. He doesn’t even look the same to me today as he did four or five days ago. It reminds me a bit of the heartbreaking disappointment I felt after Colin Powell testified about Iraq’s having WMDs with ridiculous “evidence” that turned out, almost as he was speaking, to be absolutely false.Made a fool of himself on the world stage. WOW!. Powerful, truthful response from the greatest leader (I personally think he is bigger than the Office) I’ve ever seen http://youtu.be/XDSzw43v9iI via @youtube ….really liked that bit where he says, you notice Romney is not running on his track record as Governor…

“You have to excuse me,” Jealous explained, his voice trembling. “I’m a bit moved. My parents own marriage was against the law at the time and they had to return here to Baltimore after getting married in Washington, D.C. And the procession back was mistaken for a funeral procession because it was so quixotic to people to see all these cars with these headlights on, having to go from one city all the way to the next just so they could have a party after they got married in their own home. OVERNIGHT ENERGY: Interior forum to lay groundwork for blowout-prevention rules
By Ben Geman and Andrew Restuccia
State of play: Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is gathering experts Tuesday to lay the groundwork for the next wave of rules aimed at improving devices to prevent the kind of catastrophic deep-sea blowout that caused the 2010 BP oil spill.
Salazar and top lieutenants will hold a daylong forum at Interior headquarters to solicit input on ways to ensure that underwater blowout preventers — the supposedly fail-safe device that failed to stop BP’s runaway Macondo well — do their job.
Interior’s Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement will host the forum, which is titled, “Technical Forum on Next-Generation Blowout Preventer (BOP) and Control Systems Technology, Management and Regulation.”
Interior — which quickly issued beefed-up safety rules in the wake of the BP spill — is emphasizing that it’s taking a deliberate approach with the next batch of safety rules and the upgraded blowout standards.

We just we finished the first round of celebrations. My 82 year old mom was pleased as punch that her fav grandson did well. Of course his sister, who is the studious and serious one in the family, is a bit miffed that he could get away it all with his last minute cramming. (and boy did he cram, with just 3-4 hours of sleep everyday in the last month). We will be going out in another 3 hours for the celebratory dinner.
zizi – you are a troublemaker, aren’tya ? Let’s just say that he split the brain and the beauty among his parents and leave the rest to your feverish imagination.
Hey amk, I come from a comparable former British colony background. i know the drill about cramming for those School Cert exams. It is a BFD. I am unable to get my students here in the US to imagine what that entire life or death atmosphere is like when cramming for exams feels like a giant exercise in preparing for sudden death. Kudos to your son.
Me, troublemaker? It was an innocent question that I’m sure your wife would greatly appreciate. I’m sure your son knows where his brains come from, but he won’t want to hurt your fee fees by telling you his real opinion.
I’m glad to see POTUS will be kind of taking today slow, I know a President is never off from work, but POTUS need alittle rest. He isn’t superman, he is just a man. He is right back on the road Wednesday. Maybe Memorial Day week-end he, FLOTUS and the girls can get away.

President Obama’s reelection campaign is taking strategic advice from former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, whom one operative described as the “Democratic Party’s Karl Rove.”
Emanuel, a friend of both campaign manager Jim Messina and senior strategist and fellow Chicagoan David Axelrod, periodically weighs in “very clearly” on what the campaign should be doing, a Democratic official said.
Yeah, Jodi the expert was on MSNBC yesterday, being called in as an expert on Romney. Not. (She also has the least charisma out of many of these so-called experts. No “there” there or something.)

Florida grassroots is doing a wonderful job. It will be close but I think we have a real shot at pulling this state off again in November.
The state that worries me is NC. I read earlier this year the registered Dems have declined in NC so they have a lot of ground to makeup there. We won that state in 2008 by the smallest of margins. I think it was about 4000 votes.
Glad to see that the O -team has doubled-down on the Bain attacks. Superpac has released a new ad. To hell with Booker and Rendell.
HEADLINE: Pro-Obama Super PAC Uses Gingrich, Perry To Go After Romney’s Bain Record
// The pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action has created a new web video which uses attacks from Mitt Romney’s rivals during the Republican primary to attack Romney’s record at Bain Capital. “Somebody who’s very wealthy comes in, takes over your company, takes out all the cash, and leaves behind the unemployment,” Newt Gingrich says in one clip used in the video. “I think that’s not a model we want to advocate, and I don’t think any conservative wants to get caught defending that kind of model.”
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman makes an appearance, saying “Governor Romney enjoys firing people. I enjoy creating jobs.” Texas Gov. Rick Perry is also featured prominently in the video, where he says “There is something fundamentally wrong when getting rich off failure and sticking it to someone else is how you do your business.”
Also included is a clip of Sarah Palin saying it was legitimate to ask Romney for proof of his claim to have created 100,000 jobs while at Bain. //
Months ago I posted on Facebook that all the Ob
ama campaign had to do was cut and paste all of the videos with all of the GOP candidates going after each other and here it is. I am sure more videos are in the making with Mankini, Batmichele, Herman Pain and lets not forget the empy head one from Texas.
Fun times awaiting us.
Today is Primary election day here in Kentucky. Off to vote for our dashing Pres. and Dems in local races including Rep. John Yarmuth. WE phone banked this past weekend, so I hope statewide we successfully activated Dems so we get a strong volunteer force to go help out in surrounding battleground states come the Fall, like Ohio, Virginia and beyond.
Obama has enthusiasm edge in new poll
By DONOVAN SLACK | 5/22/12 6:58 AM EDT
A new Washington Post/ABC News poll found 93 percent of Obama supporters are enthusiastic about voting for him, compared to 75 percent of Mitt Romney’s supporters who are enthusiastic about casting ballots for him.
Of Obama’s supporters, 51 percent are very enthusiastic, while 26 percent of Romney’s are very enthusiastic.
The numbers are similar to those for Obama and McCain at this point in the 2008 race, with Obama’s enthusiasm at 91 percent and McCain’s at 74 percent.
The new poll, which found Obama leading 49-46 if the election were held today, also measured voters’ feelings about Romney’s Bain experience with some surprising results.
When asked about his work “buying and restructuring companies,” voters were split with 21 percent saying it was a major reason to vote for him and 21 percent saying is was a major reason to vote against him. More than half — 54 percent — said it wasn’t a factor at all.
The poll surveyed a random sample of 1,004 adults between May 17 and 20. It has a argin of error of +/- 3.5 percent.
So 54% polled say Romney time at time Bain is not a factor, yet the media and the Romney camp are tripping all over themselves to get the Bain ads off the air. Allrighty then.
Paid to say so. Another Corporatist Democrat who, in the end, supports Hillary.
The Obama Team needs to start putting out Democrats, who are not Corporatists/DLC nuts!
These Guys are all over the MSM and it’s probably why they got their Jobs.
What was it Rendell said about Black People in the 08 campaign? He should talk!
Ed rarely likes anything about the Obama Camp. His candidate lost in 2008 and he NEVER got over it. This is why he gets to go on talk shows. They know he will say something negative every time…
Nope! But Morning Skezicks has all the Democrats on every Morning, muddling the Presidents message.
Skezicks should be the Campaign Manager for Robney, he is that bad!
Good Morning TODville! Our President is to be commended for PRESSING ON in the face of such repeated ignorance in his party!
GM @EdRendell_PA: Voters like PBO's ‘tone’ just fine. We DON'T LIKE the 'tone' of disloyal & irresponsible DEMS undermining the campaign!— Vick C. (@sonamie) May 22, 2012
TY. You are right, JO’B, they do need to get the feedback. It’s true they don’t care because they already have their piece of the pie and some feel they are untouchable. However, with the opportunity to give immediate feedback they’ll at least know that voters ARE noting their shenanigans.
I am so sick of these “Armchair Campaign Managers” who sit on their perches in tv studios and act like they have all the answers. There’s a reason why President Obama is in the White House and they are flapping their gums as know-it all guests on some cable show. I rarely hear Ed Rendell say anything positive about PBO. As far as I am concerned Ed can “talk to the hand”.
Dems on TV criticizing the Pres are egoist, plain and simple. NO CARING DEM seeing the fight we are in would PUBLICLY strike at our leader!— Vick C. (@sonamie) May 22, 2012
In fact,IMO apart from selfishness it shows a certain ignorance of the political process, OR a heartlessness re possible outcome! They’ve got theirs so they can live with the rest of us possibly not getting ours.
IMO NO CARING DEM understanding the fight would PUBLICLY strike at our leader, especially as the battle is heating up! Shortsighted & dumb— Vick C. (@sonamie) May 22, 2012
Before President Obama won and took over the leadership of the Democratic Party, many in the leadership positions and in the pipelines were becoming more and more greedy about Wall Street cash.
In fact because they were fanatically seeking the support of huge multinationals they sold their souls and made the Dems Party almost indistinguishable from the gop. People found it credible to say “both parties are the same”
Today, you can see clearly the difference between Dems and the gop and it is largely thanks to PBO.
Now that PBO’s leadership team and personal decency have brought back moral clarity with a focus on ordinary people as the core of the Dem Party, the old guard does not like it – I am talking about you ed rendell and your big envious mouth, yes you harold ford etc.
Yes, we can now see the cockroaches in the Dems coming out because the President Obama light is flushing them out! I despise these corrupt dems almost as much as I do the right wingers
Well said Linda, President Obama refuses to play this game. When President Obama wanted to bring Hilary Clinton on board as SOS, one of the conditions was that Bill had to list all of his benefactors, although Bill did it he was none to happy to do it. Most of the old guard couldn’t find a corporation to sell their souls too quick enough once President Obama became the leader of the party. Not only are the roaches jumping ship, they don’t care who comes to save them.
I see what is happening here. Robney is using NBC and they have Bought some Democrats, as a response to the Bain attacks.
I see you Bain, I know what you are up to.
lets face it people, the reason that the beltway punditry, the MSM , and the politicos are ALL freaking out about the bain/romney ads is because they are very effective
Furthermore, these bain ads also point out th general hypocrisy that permeates the media and politics and how all feed off big money from entities such as bain. So when the ad hits mitt, it hits them too and this makes them lash out
In essence, the ads have blown a big hole in the media firewall. The facts are escaping and getting to the voters who need this information. Just imagine the number of people who are seeing those ads and saying “Gee, I didn’t know that”. What would Mitt Romney do as president. That could be me. The ads have hit a nerve and it’s freaking out the Romney campaign and the media. Enter the Democratic Party circular firing squad of Booker and Rendell to piss all over the messaging. It’s infuriating.
I thought Powell was a big advocate of education. Does he know that Mitt want to cut back the education department? Being a good man and having policies that benefit only the wealthy are two different things. Does he know that Williard think the Ryan budget is “marvelous”.
Powell can vote for whomever he wants to, I just hope he doesn’t come back later and says he didn’t know Willard would turn out the way he did. Just like Powell did when he went before the United Nations and sold us a stack of lies about Iraq.

Yardarm is definitely sneaky! I think he may have been using a different sign-on avatar just in the previous thread and he is trying not to give anyone a heads up on the change here.
well, you are “busted” Mr. Sailor!
Goodnight everybody!
I hope my President gets home safely and is able to get some sleep.
I’m off to bed ‘cos i seem to be nodding off periodically. Have a good night’s sleep everyone – even those already sleeping.
Night all……………………………
WOW!. Powerful, truthful response from the greatest leader (I personally think he is bigger than the Office) I’ve ever seen http://youtu.be/XDSzw43v9iI via @youtube ….really liked that bit where he says, you notice Romney is not running on his track record as Governor…
we really need to share this video and the video’s from the people whose jobs were killed by bain and romney the bullying liar
My sister says that, too. “He’s bigger than the Office”. It’s true.
Yes, Berny, I loved that line.
NAACP Leader Benjamin Jealous chokes up over NAACP support of gay marriage.
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/05/21/naacp-president-chokes-up-over-support-for-marriage-equality/
…“I’ve spoken to many clergy who feel differently, different sides, different theologies, different doctrines. All are very clear that if this is a difference, it is a difference, not a division. If this is a contrast, it is a contrast, not a conflict.”…
This is an important day.”
A message that I intend to persist …

Great News !!!
My son has passed out of his final year school exams today with flying colors scoring 93.5 percentile.
I was up since 3 am going bananas and the boy totally fooled me.
Will be celebrating big today and he will get his first cellphone today.
Thanks to df, vc, chips and other TOD’ers for your wishes and prayers.
I am a totally relieved man today.
Amk, congratulations to your son for doing so well on his exams. You and your family must be very proud of him.
Same here amk for obama. Congratulation to your son and you. I know you must be proud..
congratulations on the success of your son! job well done! best of wishes to him and the family
Amk, Awesome!! A well deserved congratulations to the son and his proud papa!!
Congrats amk. Who should we credit with being the brainy source for your son? You or your wife? Cheers!!
Thank you guyz.
Congrats Amk for your son pulling his grades together in the end so successfully.
Thank you donna, He was like ‘it’s no big deal mom’. This after giving her two years of nightmares.
She got the nightmares and I got the white hair. Wimmin.

This is hilarious amk…I spit my oJ out all over my laptop…..can’t.stop.laughing…….and I needed the laugh.
Oh now that is just too funny Amk.
I loved that punchline – GO VOTE.
That’s funny as hell. Good morning to all. Just love our president.

Good morning, TODland! Here’s to a beautiful day for everyone!
GM JOB I see you are up awfully early today.
Yes, Baby O’Donna, my head will be in the soup by noon! Enjoy your day.
Ha! You have a great one as well.
President Obama’s reelection campaign is taking strategic advice from former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, whom one operative described as the “Democratic Party’s Karl Rove.”
Emanuel, a friend of both campaign manager Jim Messina and senior strategist and fellow Chicagoan David Axelrod, periodically weighs in “very clearly” on what the campaign should be doing, a Democratic official said.
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/228755-obama-turns-to-rahm-the-dems-karl-rove
An attack Dog like Rove only not Corrupt.
Btw- you ever notice how they ruin flattering articles about the President, by injecting Jodi Kantor as some kind of expert?
It’s passive/aggressive!
Yes. But fortunately, no one gives a kangaroo’s bottom about Kantor besides a few in the stupid media.
My sister volunteers at her local office in NC. I’ll try to remember to ask her what she’s hearing on the ground.

excellent. now let’s see the media thugs denounce the tundra twit and texas twit.
Obama has enthusiasm “edge?”
Since when 51% versus 26% represents an “edge?!?!?” If it were the other way around, the headline would be:
“Romney DWARFS Obama in voter enthusiasm.”
They can spin it anyway they want, but this represents a likely voter edge, as well!
So 54% polled say Romney time at time Bain is not a factor, yet the media and the Romney camp are tripping all over themselves to get the Bain ads off the air. Allrighty then.
That 54% can be persuaded!
Then why consider voting for him?!?! It’s his entire reason for his candidacy. Why else would anyone vote for him?
Oh wait. Repubs vote their hate.
Sheesh, now it’s ed rendell who doesn’t like “the tone” of Obama ads. Fuck these corporatist, corrupt dems.
I seriously the no. of dems that still have some integrity left.
They are not on Morning Skezicks!
Ed rarely likes anything about the Obama Camp. His candidate lost in 2008 and he NEVER got over it. This is why he gets to go on talk shows. They know he will say something negative every time…
Has Rendell said anything about the Rev Wright issue?
Nope! But Morning Skezicks has all the Democrats on every Morning, muddling the Presidents message.
Skezicks should be the Campaign Manager for Robney, he is that bad!
Yea…well …. Ed wife did not like his tone when she found out what he was doing on the side either.
LOL! Exactly.
we the people need to call these DLC bought-and-paid-for people out
Here is the rethugs media shill
Everyday, a fucking Democrat says leave Bain alone.
Can you believe this Shit?
Oh don’t worry.jon stew-rat will along any minute and explain the both sides do it concept to us.
Fucking assholes all.
https://twitter.com/?tw_e=screenname&tw_i=204901732168376321&tw_p=tweetembed#!/aspirational12/status/204908152154624000
I’m not at all surprised by Ed’s comments, he still has a hard on for Clinton.
Good Morning TODville! Our President is to be commended for PRESSING ON in the face of such repeated ignorance in his party!
RT’d that. He needs to get the blow back, but he definitely won’t care and he won’t change.
TY. You are right, JO’B, they do need to get the feedback. It’s true they don’t care because they already have their piece of the pie and some feel they are untouchable. However, with the opportunity to give immediate feedback they’ll at least know that voters ARE noting their shenanigans.
Rendell said just the opposite yesterday on Rev. Al. The Bain ads are the words of the people who were affected. What tone?
I am so sick of these “Armchair Campaign Managers” who sit on their perches in tv studios and act like they have all the answers. There’s a reason why President Obama is in the White House and they are flapping their gums as know-it all guests on some cable show. I rarely hear Ed Rendell say anything positive about PBO. As far as I am concerned Ed can “talk to the hand”.
In fact,IMO apart from selfishness it shows a certain ignorance of the political process, OR a heartlessness re possible outcome! They’ve got theirs so they can live with the rest of us possibly not getting ours.
Space X successfully launches for the Space Station, endorsed by this President.
Historic! Yay!
I see that #IStandWithObama is still top-trending topic on Twitter
Hope it’s also the top trend at the ballot box on November 6.
lets face it people, the reason that the beltway punditry, the MSM , and the politicos are ALL freaking out about the bain/romney ads is because they are very effective
Furthermore, these bain ads also point out th general hypocrisy that permeates the media and politics and how all feed off big money from entities such as bain. So when the ad hits mitt, it hits them too and this makes them lash out
I am just loving the fact that the campaign is doubling down, nay trebling down as of today, with these let’s expose mitt ads. The pundtwits can GFT.
GCL, An absolutely brilliant observation.
I totally agree globalcitizen.
Not only that, but NBC and Bain own the Weather Channel.
Uh huh, oh huh!
Powell says he is considering endorsing Willard, who he says is a good Man.
Okay, these People are all going on tv, being promised something!
Colin ” I lied us in to War ” Powell ?
I thought Powell was a big advocate of education. Does he know that Mitt want to cut back the education department? Being a good man and having policies that benefit only the wealthy are two different things. Does he know that Williard think the Ryan budget is “marvelous”.
Powell can vote for whomever he wants to, I just hope he doesn’t come back later and says he didn’t know Willard would turn out the way he did. Just like Powell did when he went before the United Nations and sold us a stack of lies about Iraq.
FYI ~ Michelle Obama’s book “American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America” drops next Tuesday. Let’s make it a BEST SELLER!
I didn’t even know she had a book coming out, if my wife can and go out and buy “Fifty Shades of Gray” she certainly can and will buy Michelle’s book.
That’s takin’ a stand! Ha!
All her financial proceeds go to charity.
I laugh at all these billionaires lined up against President Obama, though they have money, they can only vote once, just like you and I.
And this we must not forget. This is why they work so hard to suppress our right to vote. There are more of us than them.
https://twitter.com/?tw_e=screenname&tw_i=204901732168376321&tw_p=tweetembed#!/jonathanhsinger/status/204906821041930245
Powell served in Vietnam while Mittens was in France trying to decide what wine to drink with his fish, and now he’s considering voting for this guy?
Ratner tried to wipe the egg off his face on Morning Junk today , too.
Mike Barnicle leaned back in his chair….scratched his balls and burped .
Test.
Obama Made A Strong First Impression At Harvard:
http://www.npr.org/2012/05/22/153214284/obamas-harvard-days-began-with-exclamation-point
Hello Team,
Can we send tweets and other messages to Team Obama, the DNC and other PBO-supporters to keep the Bain/Romney commercials coming.
here is my draft: The workers Romney fired at Bain speak for me; Please keep the focus on this betrayal and greed
