Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy pleasure AAmom!
What a ridiculously precious little cherub!!!
Ok this is too adorable for words! What a little beauty.
I love this little girl. That’s how I would feel, too, if I were there. She’s such a cutie with so much joy and love in her eyes.
Whddyamean what ? You know what you did. Stealing my place.
Ahhh, the good ole days!
ok here’s my avi (this site is funky today :<(
Gees….when I looked at the time, I thought I might at least be second. Oh well. I am also messaging with Symmetry on Facebook. Multi-tasking.
I loooooooove Iowa for how they have supported our President from the earliest days.
I am still in awe at the photo of the wheelchair-bound veteran rising to meet PBO. One of the most beautiful pics I have seen, and there have been many beautiful pics featuring PBO. It is absolutely breathtaking.
These photos from Iowa are just what I needed to see tonight. The size of the crowd and their enthusiasm imminating from their faces says it all. That is how I feel about our President too. You just do not get those facial expressions from Mitts crowds.
PJ, I hope that photo will be one selected by Pete to have in display in the WH that is done by Pete. That is just awesome. I do believe that POB will cherish that one when he sees it. HZ
Robert Reich @RBReich
Supreme Court will be out soon with opinion on Obama’s healthcare law — possibly as early as tomorrow. Brace yourself.
1. It’s struck down and he’ll pass it again.
2. It’s upheld.
He will pass it again???
I think if it is struck down, he will do pieces and bits to control cost and ban pre existing conditions.
Other than that, the Nation is not ready fir a medicate for all system.
Now, now, this is my opinion, it’s not a fact or anything. LOL!
Jovie have you had something to drink? I’m not sure why you need to laugh heartily (LOL) at your opinion on Medicare
Your right. We should just ignore what happened last time and go for the gusto!
PBO himself said he will just pass it again – remember!
If the Court does #1 we must be ready to push back against the media which are more likely to frame this as a rejection of President Obama health care reform. By way of comparison, the great FDR, during his first term, faced a hostile right wing Supreme Court which invalidated many of his earlyearly New Deal programs. This country, which is so afflicted with amnesia (probably because of the media’s constant mis-educatio), does not know that many of the now prized New Deal programs, like minimum wage and forty-hour work week, were enacted in FDR’s second term. My hope is that if the Court strikes down the ACA we will be even more motivated than before to ensure that President Obama is re-elected.
All that inspiration!!
CONTRASTED with this FFFKKKNNASSHOLE Christie. I know, MANY other despicable refugg types but I SWEAR I DETEST this giant bag of fecal matter. He could weight 103 lbs. and he’d still be a hateful, ignorant, arrogant P I G S H I T.
I’m sorry TOD-ers. I hadda VENT.
And the MSM giving him credability? How? Why? What? WHAT?? WHAT???? NOTHING. NO REASON.
Christie is a bully…he is sad…hurt people, hurt people! We the people don’t need bullies to govern, we need GREAT LEADERS…President Obama is a GREAT LEADER!!!
Christie is Booker’s friend…
So what? Christie is still a bully! It’s utterly irrelevant whether he is or he is not Booker’s friend. Other than trying to be divisive, why did you find it necessary to inject Cory Booker in magpie’s comment?
…just a comment/my comment which was not intended to be divisive. Your response to my four words will make me think twice about making comments here…I thought this was a safe place to post…I guess I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I apologize if I misconstrued your comment. You are not wrong! This is indeed a safe place to post. In fact I think the majority of people here probably agree with you more than they agree with me about Cory Booker. I am just personally fed up with allowing the media and the GOP to manipulate us. No doubt Mayor Booker made a big mistake, but he should not be the central focus of our discussion. It’s bad enough that the right wingers are already using his words to attack the president. We don’t have to join in on piling on him, especially since he has apologized. The way I read your comment was that you tried to re-ignite the attacks on Mayor Booker by your remark: “Christie is Booker’s friend.” I just did not see the purpose it served other than to point out what a horrible person Mayor Booker must be for being a friend of the “bully.”
Puddin, please don’t let a single comment discourage you from joining in here. I can understand your hurt feelings re CB. I have personally never understood Christie’s appeal, Why would you want a nasty bully as governor? I can understand his squeaking in because of a fluke, but how anyone can continue to support his ugly rhetoric is a mystery. I hope the people of NJ wake up.
Oh my, what a contrast with the pictures we saw earlier of Mitt Romney with kids,…….
I want chips snark knoller to do a photoshop of comparative PBO and mittbot with kids. Get on it knoller.
The Light in these photos is wonderful! Okay, back to packing, have a good night, all!
Pamela, have a great trip, and enjoy every moment as much as possible. I will miss you. (((((((((( Take care, my friend))))))) HZ
Lawd — i’m just now seeing the video footage of Willard’s ridiculous and disastrous visit to the Philly school. Damn, Mayor Nutter and those teachers at the roundtable WENT IN on his ass. UGH — HE IS SO WACK!!!!!
PJ. don’t be mad, just register some more voters!!
I hope Myth R-money keeps up this effort. I really do. Keep coming into town for 2 hours, don’t actually talk to real people. Keep taking pictures with kids who looked bored out of their minds to meet you, keep making stops at charter schools where the academic performance is just as bad as, and in many cases, worse, than the public school that it took over, keep visiting schools run by people who know nothing about education. Keep focusing on the cuts you would make to the Dept of Education. PLEASE, Myth, Keep doing that. PRETTY PLEASE??
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I am loving the fact that his campaign is so horrible and misguided. I love that they are wasting time and money on fool’s errands. I’m gonna be pounding the pavement, calling, and registering folks regardless. But DAMN! The more I see of this robotic, core-less, greedy, conscience-free man, the more I can’t stand him. UGH!!!!!
Iowa loves our President yes they do. Iowa loves our President and I do too. I love my President yes I do. Yes loves me President-how about you?
I “fell in like with Barak Obama in 2004 (Dem Convention) and I “fell in LOVE” with him when the Iowans showed the world how much they loved him in 2008…that rally was so electrifying…I think that’s when Tweety felt a “tingling” up his leg:-) This is the “thing” that makes the repubs crazy!
My LORD…look at the people!!!!!!!! These pictures remind me of ’08 (I have tears in my eyes:-) )
The love is still there…..big time!!!
Oh! look at # 17, where PBO is high-diving the little girl in the sundered with his left hand, and his RIGHT HAND is holding into the wrist if another person… Oh, how I wish that was my wrist! He is astonishing! I love him so much! (I love you guys too!)
Marin is on fire in Lawrence’s time slot. Krystal Ball, Ari Melber of The Nation and the amazing E.J. Dionne were incredible in the first segment. I encourage everyone to watch it.
And Sandra Fluke is on!
I watched her with Joy Ann Ried of the grio. They were great too.
Who filled in for Lawrence?
Isn’t that little barack up there…in the orange shirt?
Good evening all. Long day….attended an OFA meeting tonight. We had a least 30 volunteers in attendance tonight. Some of us made local phone calls & the rest did phone banking for North Carolina. We had a great time. I will be making more calls tomorrow evening and on Saturday.
WTG symmetry. Keep up the good work.
that’s great, symmetry!
Obama campaign to target Romney's record as governor reut.rs/Kk1uwr ~ Of course, they may have to remind him that he WAS governor. #p2— Catherine M (@Katyushina) May 25, 2012
I wish the Obama campaign would also focus on Romney’s 6 year run for president. How can Romney justify that as productivity? I am sorry, but I resent the fact that this man, who claims to believe in America, has been doing absolutely nothing, except run for president, for the past six years. Unlike genuine business men like Warren Buffet, Mitt Romney has done nothing in the past six years to show us how his business experience can create jobs, Absolutely nothing! The media, in my opinion, has failed miserably to hold Romney accountable for his record for the past ten years. His four years as governor of MA and his 6 years while running for President. I cannot recall any other Presidential candidate in history, other than Lyndon LaRouche, whose only job for six years was running for President.
Nath, I think that “do nothng” for the last six years should be reserved for Biden, Axe, Plouffe, Gibbs and other top level surrogates. The president should stick with his actual abysmal record. PBO has never been personal or snarky in his attacks on other politicians. That should be reserved for others. And we can certainly point in out in every conversation we have.
Checked the Des Moines Register—wanted to see what they’re reporting on Obama’s Ia. visit—–saw all these great headlines—-Obama speaks to crowd in overflow area etc.—–and then I see this other headline which made me laugh and tells the story—-Repub keynote speaker at GOP fundraiser pleads with attendees to drop their lack of enthusiasm for Romney.
Ha! That’s just deliciously perfect I keep saying, Obama-hate may get him close, but it won’t be enough to put him over the top–never has been, never will be (the “anti-vote”, i mean)
How can you “drop” your lack of enthusiasm? You either have it or you don’t and seeing more of Willard and hearing him is enthusiasm reducing. Guess they’ll have to keep their candidate under lock and key and run on the imaginary Willard.
Phew, what a crowd.
To be very frank, I am relieved and happy to see so many white faces for once.
Wow… you can just sense the high energy from the pictures. On another note, I’m super-geeked because I finally conjured up enough nerve to phone bank this evening in South Orange, NJ. I’ve wanted to do this for a while, but I was scared . Actually, it wasn’t bad at all and everyone that I reached still supports our phenomenal President, even if they didn’t commit to volunteer. It was refreshing.
Good for you. See, I toldja it is easypeasy.
So glad that you did, Angela. Once you get that first time out of the way (phonebanking, canvassing, etc), it becomes so much easier after that
Well done Angela! Phoning people can be intimidating. Now and then you run into some hostile people who are nasty and abusive. For the most part, however, people are descent. Even those who don’t support the President will tell you up-front so you don’t waste your time with them. The most frustrating thing about phone banking for me is not being able to talk to any one either because you have called outdated phone numbers or people are not at home. The most uplifting experience, of course, is talking to people who are enthusiastic supporters of the President.
Thanks people for the encouragement. You’re right Nathkatun, not being able to speak directly to people was a challenge. I left a ton of messages before I actually reached someone directly. When the man finally answered, I was so caught off guard that I stuttered like a rap remix .
See that crowd, that is why the Republicans felt they had to play dirty, with the voter ID law, because they know if people come out like they did in 2008, they don’t have a snowball chance in hell of winning. so they are hoping to suppress the vote. But we can’t let them win. We can’t let them steal this election.
Have we heard any criticism from ChuckyT or JakieT about the size of the crowd tonight?
I think we need to take to the streets if this is even suspected; I mean a full-fledged revolution – in the streets ..
I’ve been thinking seriously about that myself. I feel like grabbing a bottle of cold water and heading for the streets tomorrow – why wait. Just cannot stand the thought of voter suppression, after how long it took to get voting rights for all.
Miami Heat headed back to the eastern conference finals. I hope they make it. And, I hope the Thunder beat the Spurs. A Thunder/Heat finals would be the most fun to watch, I think.
Go Heat, Go!!
The Senate overwhelmingly passed a major Food and Drug Administration reauthorization on Thursday after defeating more controversial amendments designed to lower the price of prescription drugs.
The bill, which reauthorizes user fees the Food and Drug Administration collects from drug and device companies, passed 96-1. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was the only “no” vote. There’s also broad bipartisan support for the House version, which cleared the Energy and Commerce Committee by a voice vote and is awaiting a vote on the floor.
Both bills would reauthorize existing user fees and create a new fee for companies that make generic drugs. The firms have complained about long backlogs of applications at the FDA, leading to delayed approvals.
I hope this does not die in the House. This is very important, Extremely!
Sanders voted no???
Probably due to the “after defeating amendments designed to lower the price of prescription drugs”
Totally O/T: I was just doing some banking and find my bank has recently added a calculator to the home page! It works so well, I cannot believe how clever it is! Maybe it’s not new to other banks, but I am very pleased with it!
Loading companies w debt, outsourcing jobs, offshoring accts, slashing wages & benefits & profiting off bankruptcies not experience US needs— David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) May 23, 2012
Amen Mr. Axelrod. Keep telling the truth, something Mitt knows nothing about.
Indeed! Also not a good example by a person who claims to “Believe In America.”
Oh my. Martin Bashir’s final sentence of tonight’s show was on point. He mentioned the fact that Willard doesn’t smoke or drink, but then he said (paraphrasing), “What is the greater moral failing, that which goes into the mouth or that which comes out of it?”
Reminds me of the biblical verse: “It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” (Matthew 15:11)
P.J., Let me say , Amen, Amen, Amen.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Say on, say on say on. He may not smoke or drink but the man sure can lie!! he lies like a rug!
Reminds me of the Pharisees and Sadducees — outwardly “holy” but filthy inside. Willard’s a money-changer, too — piling up people with debt and gambling on their futures. Jesus hung out with adulterers and tax collectors, but he chased the money-changers out of the temple….
vitaminlover, If a man had a core, if he had any true values, wouldn’t it bother him to lie so much. Newt called Mitt a liar,Rudy Giuliani said he is a man without a core.

NOW, is there any wonder why the media is so biased in favor of Myth R-money?
Picture is worth a thousand words, right there.
Big headlines Washington Post-
Romney Campaign goes into Black Neighborhoods to chip away at Obamas Base.
He is actually going to spend money on this??? And of course, the Wa Post is favorable to Him!
What ridiculous tools!
I wouldn’t exactly call this a ‘big headline’ and from the video I posted on the last thread, Myth didn’t do much “chipping” nor did his media event go very well. None of the teachers at the roundtable agreed with R-money’s premise that small class sizes are not a factor in improving education. If R-money and his advisors think that his visit to West Philadelphia helped him to gain support, I hope he keeps it up. Really. Spend more money on this effort. PLEASE!!
Mitt is in la la land. That school staff was not buying what he was selling. Who in their right mind wants an overcrowded class for their kids, with so many things vying for their attention these days!!
Mitt on Peanut Butter.
Hey Africatimes2! Don’t go insulting peanut butter like that! I LIKE peanut butter!!!
LOL My apologies to the peanuts!!
More than just teachers, if any parent in the country was watching Willard’s adventure in West Philadelphia they would think he was nuts to advocate large classrooms. Who wants their kids crowded into a room and unable to get the individual attention that he/she needs? Big classes also mean more of the teacher’s time is devoted to keeping order rather than teaching–a recipe for failure that would repel most parents. And please tell me how it helps the stiff and socially inept Willard to go into a primarily AA community. Is everyone supposed to say, “Oh Mitt, our savior, we always wanted worse schools than we have now. We’ll just have to rethink our support for the best and most charismatic president ever.” How was that supposed to work?
Washington Post, this need to be your big headline. Did you see the Mayor of Philly news conference after Mitt left. Mitt is not going to chip away at President Obama base. No way, no how.
I commented on this in the previous thread. But, let ‘em go ahead and waste their time and resources.
“Chip away”?! Chip with a freaking popsicle stick.

Thanks, JER. Always great to see him home again.
He’s done so much in just 2 days. I hope he’s running the press ragged.
Hopefully President Obama, Michelle, Malia, Sasha will get away for the week-end, and just do nothing. Oh and Bo goes too.
Yes, Bo goes too, and Marion the grandmother too. All of them; they deserve it.
I am with you, anniebella. Maybe they can find some great bar-b-que to enjoy.
I was thinking the same earlier this morning when my eyes refused to open when summoned by my alarm clock. The President has been going non-stop since last week, since he spent the weekend hosting the G8 and NATO. Even looking his two hours of hand shaking at the Air Force and then still doing powerful rallies late a night last night (when it was after 1am EST). I can’t really complain about being tired.
And all the time zone changing PBO does would turn me into jelly, unable to move or think.
LOL. Rubio going on a swing state Book Tour.
I am laughing because of the Title!
-An American Son.-
He really, Really, REALLY wants the VP job!!!
I think he really is gonna get it.
Oh my, when I saw the pictures of Romney in that classroom with those children, I had to shake my head, these precious children looked almost scared…….but when I saw a clip of his visit on tv…., it was worst than I thought…..
Here’s another contrast for those who didn’t see that video from 2010 . I kept that video in my Youtube history because it was too precious. The way children react to President Obama says it all to me. They love him……Children have instincts, they don’t do fake, it’s from their hearts.
In N.Y.2010….kids in a playground in NY watching the motorcade
Just catching up – those photos are unreal – children, veterans, women, men, retired, middle aged, teens – white black and any color in between – they all adore the President. He has just the right words and expression for every one. The photos with the 90 year old vet are amazing.
No wonder the press wants to hide these photos – they like to think Mitt has a chance – hahahahaha – Mitt knows he’s lost – shows on his face every time he has to speak to anyone from the 99%.
President Obama’s 2008 campaign is seen by many as the first successful online campaign, and while his Republican rivals are certainly beginning to master the social side of campaigning, Obama’s 2012 team is doubling down on digital with a new platform being released Wednesday.
The new platform, called Dashboard, will attempt to bring nearly everything that a brick-and-mortar field office does into the digital space. Obama’s volunteers will be able to use the service to make calls to recruit others to join the team, organize campaign events such as voter registration drives, and communicate with leadership — all from their desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone devices, according to The Wall Street Journal.
“Dashboard is our online field office — a hub for campaign volunteers and supporters to communicate with each other and become members of neighborhood teams,” Katie Hogan, a spokeswoman for the Obama campaign, told Mashable.
Watch Romney and his ilk copy this if possible.
They can’t cuz it is proprietary software developed exclusive by Pres. Obama’s tech team. these folks are geniuses like that. Romney is using off-the-shelf software. Has no juice
is Republican rivals are certainly beginning to master the social side of campaigning,
wtf does it even mean? what social side ? what campaigning?

Mike Allen of Politico has a Hit piece on our President.
Obama stumbles out of the Gate.
WTF is He talking about? I don’t get what these Conservatives see?
we need to mock such crap by retweeting politico with modifications for example:
” Imaginary Obama stumbles out of the beltway crap Gate”.
well “SnarkKnoller” and other TOD people journalist will take care of that!
and just for good measure, we should accompy the tweet with a link to a positive story about PBO
That’s a really good idea.
I don’t think they see anything, but they are trying to create a negative impression every day. The Mornng Joe objective to defeat PBO is relentless, transparent, and disgusting.
Surprisingly, he started off His Show sticking up the President. But, he did say leave Bain alone, so…
You notice, all the Conservatives say that the President should go after Robney as Governor of Mass?
I think, they had their chance in the Primary with going after Robney time in Mass, blew it, and now wants Potus to do it. But, this only plays with some Indes, and the Right.
They do Focus groups, you know. They must have a reason, to slam Bain all the time!
Bill, these people know that Mitt Romney needs all the help he can get. And it is Morning Joke job to help him, and the other anti-Obama media.
The GOP answer to clean energy push by the President? Cantor will be visiting offshore oil rigs, demanding more Oil Rigs and perhaps dirty oceans.
We will be right back…
I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend. Please honor those that served us. I was off Monday but I was asked to work. There will be a service I miss but I know some of you will be going. Say a good prayer for me.
“Obama stumbles out of the gate” “White working class back Romney 55-32″….Aaaaahhh those headlines are what you call the MSM’s desperate “throw the sink” strategy. First, every Democrat has lost white working class (those w/o college)- that’s a fact. That’s the only group the Republicans have. Secondly, this is based on a Wash Po poll that came out at least a week ago, so because the top line says the President is leading, QUICK we haz to find something bad for Obama.
NBC poll has the prez up, the Marist poll of states has the prez up, the prez gets 3500 (who I’m sure the majority were white) people at a stop in Iowa on a Thursday, and Romney gets booed in a part of the town he just discovered people lived there. Yes, Obama stumbles out of the gate. Marooons.
Your comment is spot on.
But it will always flummox me how Republicans keep this lead — they have been effed by Republicans for the last 35 years, royally.
I hope PBO’s official campaign DOES NOT STOP using the bain and mitt videos.
even if the official campaign stops hitting mitt about bain, we MUST use the electronic media and people to people contact to keep this job destruction upfront
I hope the labor unions continue on this highlighting of job destruction and taking profits by mitt the bullying liar
No, they’ll keep using. Wall Street Dems and everyone else can jump off a bridge. Mitt is talking about Bain, so that means we can talk about Bain. Or anything else, when you are running for prez you can’t tell your opponent what to talk about.
Not to be outdone…The Hill “Obama faces a rocky path in Colorado”…In what respect Charlie? The state that Romney lost? To Santorum?!?!! MSM: WE HAZ TO MAKE IT LOOK CLOSE OR WE WONZ GET OUR MONIESSSSSS….
Score one for the good guys:
Ike = Sent troops to Little Rock to enforce integration; Mitt = Wants to amend Const. to force discrimination.— Paul Begala (@PaulBegala) May 25, 2012
I had to read Mike Allen’s article in Politico because that’s all I see on Twitter…..usually I completely ignore Politico…..
After reading it, I’m surprise at my reaction…I usually get very annoyed or angry if I read BS like this…but I actually laughed….it is laughable!!
These little gems
* Romney has surprised his many critics with a clear and consistent focus on the economy, hands down the issue of the race. After months of missteps, the guy looks steady and disciplined again.
By contrast, Obama has looked unsteady. Some Democrats have watched with dismay as the focus of Obama’s public comments bounced from student loans to tax cuts for the rich to trade to Bain Capital.
It is so ridiculous…………
Yes, the ever present “some Democrats”. Complete and utter BS. The President gets an extremely warm reception in Iowa and Romney gets is hat handed to him in Philly.
It’s Rovian, probably pushed by RNC, to see if MSNBC will talk about it.
ChristiMTL, you are right, it is laughable. But honestly what else would we expect from GOPolitico?
It’s all they are talking about on tv, is Bain.
And the Prez is winning the message.
Of course he is…that’s why they want Bain off limits…….
That is evident.
gop, beltway punditry, and wallstreet dems are ALL scared about the people’s razor focus on Bain because it is shinning the light on the politically corrupt cockroaches in every corner (yes including Dems) and they are getting scared of the scrutiny.
But if this country is to move foward and the ordinary people are to have a chance, then we have to clean house in both parties by reducing the influence of money, big corporations and hedge funds on the decisions law maker take that are unfavorable to us .
Imagine if the blue dog Dems had not stood in the way of totally reform of health care, the financial reform and energy and climate change regulation etc….
Who was it who put Bain on the table in the first place? It was Mitt Romney himself. I know how to fix the economy because I was a business man, okay we the people need to know what kind of business man you were at Bain.
NASA has video of Space X now approaching Station.
Reminds me of the Apollo era.
remember the people who opposed PBO’s decision to make NASA focus on additional deep-space research and leave the stuff they have already done (over decades – lower orbit research ) to commercial interest?
