Good evening dear Ms Chips!

Wow, perfect Ms Chips, I LOOOVE this picture!
Cibgrats Andogriff! And that cutie-pie in the first pic is just not sharing that apple wih just anybody. Precious!
Thanks so much for the wonderful coverage of PBO this week, and always!
I’ll second that thanks, andogriff, and congrats on first!!
And thank YOU Bob, for all you do!
Congrats on 1st
CONGRATS on first, Andogriff!
Watching The Ed show with the guy that was charged with rape! He spent five years in jail and was exonerated today. But why isn’t the girl charged with false testimony (or pulling a Mitt Romney – LYING)!.
There will probably be civil suits coming along. As well, are there any christians coming out against her for “bearing false witness against thy neighbor”? oh wait…
What a cutie. . . treasure that drawing. I am sure it will be worth MILLIONS one day! :) :) :)
Such beautiful eyes she has!
It will pay for her four years of college…..
Thank you Marlz, wish I could watch that too….but all we get is CNN International here…. I look forward to hearing all about it tomorrow!
It really is this simple ….

I totally second your comment, andogriff! By the way, Congrats on being first!
WoW Bobfr, your tweets are always spot on.
Who is that precious little girl?

I love this!
Absolutely spot on Bob…
Hi, I’m back and off to see what I’ve missed! Hopefully everyone hasn’t gone out of town for the long weekend and left me all alone..
(Psssst. You Are Not Alone.)
Phew! Hi JO’B! Trying to adjust to that not-sure-what’s-going-on feeling you get when you’ve been away for a bit. I don’t like feeling I don’t know all that’s happened, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. ;) Sometimes when I come back and there are several posts I’ve missed I literally stare at the screen for a bit unable to decide where to go first.
Been there. Bought the t-shirt!
That little cutie pie looks like she’s saying to herself…”why is he writing on my picture?” ;)
“noooobudy dwaws on baby’s pict’r but baby!!!!” :pout:
I know right? She is just too cute!
You are right. Meanwhile, the parents are trying to grab it, so it can be framed for posterity! But she’s lookin’ not too pleased.
What I love is the fact that even though she’s looking at him in that accusatory ‘Did I give you permission to write on my picture’ way, her expression is not of the ‘Get away from me’ type. Her expression reminds me somewhat of the babies at the window watching PBO picture. I admit I have an ongoing fascination with the way children react to the President and the First Lady.
THEY actually like children and find babies adorable. Mittens’ fake smiles don’t fool kids. Babies take one look at that puss and immediately start to bawl.
That’s part of what fascinates me; children actively interact with them, even children who don’t speak. The connection at times, particularly with the president, often seem almost electric IMO. We have a genuinely GOOD man at the helm!
Someone on my FB said exactly the same thing. Are u FB stalking me DonnaDem??? :-)
Ha! Maybe ;)
My thoughts exactly:”Who said you could write on my picture?”
Memorial Day seems a fitting time to bring into focus #KOCHSTER Walker’s anti-Vet activities ….
@whitehouse @TheJusticeDept On Memorial Day let us reflect on #KOCHSTER Walker's Vet RipOff Scheme youtu.be/xjfyP4oQ8dE @Barrett4WI— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) May 25, 2012
Secretary Geitner on risk and heat….presented by Smartypants
In economic policy, your job is to try to relax the political constraints on policy, not simply to resign yourself to live within them. But still, you have to govern with knowledge of the possible, and to be able to choose among the feasible alternatives, not be caught too long in the search of the theoretical ideal.
That is a great piece about Geithner. I always felt he was better than what all the pundits and lefties felt. The things that we don’t understand, they have to deal with. I do trust our President!
I’ve always supported Secretary Geithner. He had the second toughest job in the White House, next to President Obama – and he was in the hot seat from the beginning, and he stuck to it, despite not having any staff for a large part of it. and he’s pretty sexy and cool, too. (Plus, he’s the same age as President Obama – seems to share a lot of the same values, including the motivation that made him choose to work in public service his entire life).
every time I see PBO with a little girl, I think of him saying about Malia: “She’s 5 foot 9″ but she’s still my baby.”— I think that was in 2010. I wonder what her height is now? Poor PBO, his babies just keep growing up. :(
I saw a picture of FLOTUS, Malia and Sasha at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt. Malia looked taller than Mrs O. And the top of Sasha’s head came up to Mrs. O’s mouth. A very statuesque family to say the least.
I posted the picture of this beautiful little girl on my facebook page and one of my FB friends just left me this comment.
“Ok, I have to tell you my favorite story about kids from the 2007-8 campaign. I spent a lot of time canvassing/making calls in NH out of the Portsmouth office. One day a little girl (she was a 1st grader) and her mom went into the office to get some handouts because the little girl was writing a paper for school. While she was there, the President came in to thank all of us for volunteering. When the little girl saw him she started crying because she wasn’t dressed up to meet him. So with the cameras all flashing and people cheering he stopped everything and kneeled down to talk to her. She showed him the paper she was working on and he took it, read it very carefully, asked her questions, and then wrote A+ on the first page and signed it. He then gave her a hug and she was all smiles–but the rest of us were crying.”
I literally went: “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW” all the while responding to this post. That is sooooo sweet! :)
I literally started crying! Thanks, Donna Dem!
we must win…..we must win…
OMG, that’s crazy sweet precious.
Meta, it was Tamsin who left me this message. I told her I had to share this one.
Oh, wow! It’s so cool that you’ve kept in touch with all the old gang. Hope everyone is still ON BOARD!
Most of them still are except Joe Ruwe and Lace. She is a Libertarian and Joe seems completely disinterested.
Libertarian? GAAAAAH. Joe is such a sweet guy but def has a hardcore lefty streak.
So sad to hear that. I remember the thrill we all had getting her the computer; we were so proud of her; it is hard to see her going for ron paul; she seemed so sensible. What happened to JR; remember the money bombs at 11pm Fridays? I couldn’t contribute as I am Canadian, but the cheering! wow!
How is Marytnurse? I thought about her yesterday when PBO was in Iowa.
BTW, where has Vero been?
Marytnurse is doing very well. She is very active in Iowa with the Presidents reelection. Lace is a Libertarian but claims she doesn’t like Ron Paul but is not a supporter of the President either so I’m not sure where her head is. Joe Ruwe to my surprise is a 911 truther. He believes 911 was an inside job by Bush and he hates ALL war. So when the President escalated the war in Afghanistan a few months after he took office Joe went silent and now NEVER discusses the President.
Vero is still around but unfortunately she was blocked from this site because of a conversation she had here during the contraception situation earlier this year. She is very active in Virginia working to replace Eric Cantor.
Thanks dear friend for always being here to support our efforts.
Donna, you have me crying now! Just the loveliest of stories, thank you for sharing!
Stories like this, just makes you love him all the more!
okay, now that I have stopped crying about your story, I can say thanks a lot for sharing! we are very lucky indeed to have PBO in charge of this world at this time
And you can be sure he would have done the same. exact. thing. even if there were no cameras around.
This beautiful story is just one among numerous examples that demonstrate what kind of man Barack Obama is. There is a generosity of heart in him that is very rare in politicians. An empathy for every other human being. And you know, sometimes I feel so much compassion for him, because I just know in my heart that since he cares so much for people, each political setback is much more frustrating and heartbreaking for him. He didn’t go into politics to achieve personal glory; he went to HELP people and make the world a better place.
He needs all our prayers so he keeps his spirit and his courage.
So true. In the PBS documentary, “The President’s Photographer”, President Obama said he didn’t run for office to BE something; he ran for office to DO something”. I’ve always remembered that sentiment. He also said in one of his town halls that it’s heartbreaking reading some of the letters because he often wants to pick up the phone and just start working the case himself. I think you’re absolutely right about his reaction to each political setback – which makes him all the more astounding that he gets up every time, in the face of racism and sheer obstruction, stupidity and hate being hurled at him, and he just rolls up his sleeves and works even harder. He’s a gift.
Ok I am cryong now. Truly……PBO is such a great man!
I literally star
Oooooops. I thought that didn’t go through but it did!
Awwwwwww!        ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Donna, that ‘s such a lovely meeting. Bet that little girl is top of the class!
Donna, I am crying now. Just read your comment. Yes, we have such a gift in POB. That precious little girl will never forget what that day meant to her. He is touching so many precious little ones as well as us Big ones. I love my president., and I pray each day for continued blessings and granted wisdom. We will make it through with much grace and many blessings., I have to trust in this prayer.
I just also want to say, we also have a beautiful gift in our Chipsticks. I am constantly giving up thanks for Chips and this beautiful TOD family. You all must know how so many of the seniors here love you for working so hard, encouraging us to support you, and doing our best to help in all ways possible.
My sibling sent me a text yesterday and shared how proud he was elated to see me still moving and working with young people and people in general. He said that of course, it is not in my DNA to just sit and not get involved in a positive manner with great causes because that is not what our mother taught us. Because I’m in constant pain, one would think that I would give in to that pain and just stand still, but I can’t, I just can’t. So when I come here and see how my precious Chips keep us going each day, I am totally grateful. (((((((((((( Thanks for our gift in Chips))))))))))))) And (((((Thanks for our gift in our POTUS)))))))))) I love you all so much.HZ
Question for TODers…
do you think that the President should come to WI to campaign for Barnett……
No. I heard Nicole Whatsit’sface on Randi today mentioning that. My answer is NO. If the people of WI can’t do what’s necessary for their own good, then it’s on them. Voters need to take personal responsibility for their votes. Perhaps if they spent time educating themselves in the beginning, they wouldn’t have had a Scott Walker to begin with. PBO can’t save everyone from themselves. This is what being a responsible citizen is about. So NO. PBO should work on getting his message across to the whole country, not meddling in one stubborn state’s election.
if they were able to do the herculean task of collecting a million signatures….which in itself is mindboggling…i do see them as finishing the job….of course the MSM is naysaying and predicting doom….
i pray that the power of the people can beat the power of the money…..
I don’t know what it is, Lisa, but I find myself agreeing with EVERY word you say today. ;) This is exactly the sentiment I have and how I would have worded it tonight. High five / fist bump!
:) ***fist bump***
That’s it right there. They opened the door to him, they’ll have to invite him out.
Wisconsin has to FIRE Walker like he Fired so many hardworking Peeps!
That Nicole drives me absolutely crazy! And she had some moron on her show who was backing her up (big surprise) – some journalist from Forbes. They don’t live in the real world.
Rather ironic that Nicole I forget her last name, was one of those who told people to stay home in 2010 to stick it to President Obama…
She, a strong John Edwards groupie who still can’t seem to find it in her to support President Obama and will jump at any opportunity to criticize and badmouth him while still romanticizing an Edwards presidency that might have been but for President Obama…
That is the extent of Nicole’s judgement and should tell any thinking person all they need to know about her…
I quite loathe her and I don’t listen when she subs for Randi…but one doesn’t miss much since all she really does is quote from a few blog posts from her heroes like Glen Greenwald, Adam Green, David Sirota and other hate-President Obama purveyors…
She then proceeds to whine and rage about the Obama sin de jour per her masters…
And what a lazy host…does absolutely no independent research of her own and fails to even know how to wing it…relying instead on her fellow mediocre bloggers and the 6 or so fans who always call in when she subs, to help push her misinformation and angst…
Funny how quickly she folded once Alan West had her hurled off to jail…she seemed to forget that she wasn’t dealing with our dignified, patient, kind President who indulges and transcends their attacks and silliness…
As much as I detest Alan West, I actually got a teeny bit of satisfaction from that whole episode with Nicole Sanders(?)…
It was one of those wickedly gratifying moments…sadly…
You are living in my head! I agreed with everything you wrote, and have muttered much of the same to myself when I’ve tried to listen to her for more than just a few minutes (as an ode to Randi). She’s very juvenile in her thinking. And just like Ed, she helped to create the situation in Wisconsin, and now holds President Obama’s re-election hostage for the outcome of the recall. So, I guess they’ll get what they want with a “President Romney”…
barack obama knows more about politics than i do or anyone here does, so i think whatever president does will be the correct decision.
i feel you on this….i was just wondering…..it is scary…..cause to a certain extent….the race for President alsop pits the power of the people against the corporation and money people……
I don’t see POTUS getting directly involved in local elections in that way.
PBO went to WI aty least twice before the 2010 election and in front of a huge crowd, he told everyone not to give the keys back to the republicans, while Ed and other PL were whining and telling folks to stay at home because they were not getting what they want. What can he do now? If the Dems do not vote to get Walker out after all of their enthusiasm in getting signatures for the recall, I don’t see anything that PBO can do now.
Exactly, I never forgave Ed Shultz for that….he had Adam Green on often and they used to bash the President non stop and when he said to people to stay home, I lost it……. I have to admit that Ed Shultz has definitely changed his tune,…but still….
I saw a good comment on Twitter from LP…
@edshow It shouldn’t take a penny to get these folks to vote against Walker.
That’s it…..if they need a gazillion to fight Walker…..what is there to do? They have amnesia? They don’t know what he did?
And if President Obama would go there or had been there ….and Walker wins big!…Who’s going to be blame?…..it won’t be a local election anymore……and we know how the MSM work……
I’m going to watch the debate on CSpan.
Fucking act like fucking adults.
Bingo. He repeatedly asked them not to do it and they went ahead and did it anyway. So they can now own the result for their irresponsible voting/non-voting/voting for wlaker as Lisa says above. There is a reason why only adults are allowed to vote ? Fucking maturity and reasoning power?
If you recall, their earlier recalls of rethug state senators didn’t go that great either, what with a poor turnout despite the hype. That should have either given them the pause on walker or should have taught them on how to increase the turnout. Fuck, they couldn’t even be united, in their do or die moment, and put up one single candidate and had to waste precious money, time and effort in a stupid primary. And who did they choose ? The same guy who lost to walker last time around. Fucking unbelievable.
Every shit that happens gets blamed on Obama anyway. So, this loss (I hope it does not happen) will also be pinned on him. So who gives a fuck ?
And also let’s not forget the credit side. Assume Obama gets involved and walker is recalled. Do you think any of these whiners like ed shultz would give him credit ? No way. They will claim they did it all by themselves.
Fuck WI. Fuck walker.
/end of rant
They are already mocking the money the DNC is raising on behalf of Barrett with the usual negative refrain…
And the finger-wagging and threats to once again boycott President Obama in November as punishment, does absolutely nothing to engender and sustain support… and only succeeds in annoying and alienating those of us who are pitching in to help…
It is all so tiresome the threats, demands and general lack of awareness and introspection…
Sometimes one just finds oneself becoming rather indifferent and sadly numb to the whipped up outrage and frenzied accusations that always manage to edit out their continued roles in this unfortunate situation that finds the good people of Wisconsin in this predicament…
But tell me…if 40% of Union homes in Wisconsin are willing to vote against their own best interests for whatever reason and in spite of loud pleas from Ed Schultz in his role as hunting, fishing, bowling, America-loving, everyman USA…then what exactly is President Obama supposed to do to bring around these people who clearly hate him more than they cherish their hard-won rights…
Whatever he does, it’ll be done with the best interest of the people of WI. Of that, I’m totally sure.
Indeed….i know that he has his ground forces there helping to get out the vote…
X 2 Even though **I** don’t feel every town/burg/city/state/etc should expect PBO to come in on a magic carpet, I do agree wholeheartedly with your comment – whatever decision HE finally makes works for me.
yes, I agree. Amazing to have a leader we can trust, totally, isn’t it? just amazing.
Yes, it is.
If PBO were to go to WI, then the recall will be all about PBO and not walker. our state fought the dirty koch money and won big because we were united in supporting the unions and focused on defeating the right wingers
I don’t think PBO needs to go but this is not just a local election. It has national implications and the dnc and the campaign needs to understand how emboldened Republicans will be by a defest. I’m from WI and I have friends on the ground there. There is a feeling of betrayal by the psrty and unfortunately PBO by extension. Support now will assure WI for PBO.
i understand that OFA is helping to get out the vote….but this is a battle that the folks of WI have to brave and win….
President Obama is doing the correct thing by not going. Remember when we lost uncle Ted Kennedy’s seat, and some people were saying that POB did not make himself visible enough. Blah, blah, blan. POB is a brilliant man and a brilliant politician. I trust his judgement in this matter. Let the people of WI organize and win this one on their own. OFA is there on the ground, and Ed is trying to score his points. Let It Be, and We Will See. The Vote Rests with the Power of the People of WI. HZ
Malia went to a concert last night
If their parents are not with them, the media (of any sort) is not suppose to cover events of the kids. I hope the First Lady gets this one scrubbed just like she did the Mexico trip.
I tweeted that exact question to BuzzFeed and didn’t get a reply.
yeah. for some reason, TMZ and other sites are going crazy over it with games like, “spot the SS.” SMH. I’m just glad she’s having fun doing normal teenage stuff. She must have had a blast.
Yes – it’s such an intrusion on her privacy as a growing child. But, I have to say, I love that she gets to do normal kid stuff incognito, like summer camp, school trips, concerts, etc. POTUS and FLOTUS have protected them brilliantly.
That’s a fun group; they’ve got some lively tunes out there. Can just imagine Justin being a bit jealous seeing Malia enjoying the show :)
I’m sure the SS aren’t pleased with the coverage, however, probably her mom and dad aren’t either.
i believe that. But I don’t think the coverage ruined her night. good for her. she looked like she was having mondo fun!!!
She is probably so accustomed to it she didn’t even notice, and given the look on her face, her interests were certainly on the stage :) :)
Leave the kids alone, and let them have a life. But the sorry ass media can’t do that, can they?
Is that really Mahlia? I’m sorry, but even though it looks enough like her, there’s something strange about the pic to me. Then again, these eyeballs are so old, they can barely make it one full time around the socket. It just seems strange to me that she’s sitting there among kids and no SS in sight, unless it’s the wonan in the row in front of her.
There’s a guy right behind her that’s definitely a SS agent.
I have to say, that is one gorgeous child. Best of both good looks.
And I believe the black woman standing next to Malia is a Secret Service.
It seems that Malia is covered by SS on the side of her, next to her, and behind her. I am glad she is able to enjoy herself and live as normal as possible. One thing, we do know for sure, Malia is covered. Her parents make sure of that. Remember our mothers would say:”Do not mess with my children, my husband, and my money, and in that order.” Well, well. And we do know when POB and FLOTUS hear or see otherwise, shit will fly. Oh, that is not a nice word, but it is the most fitting one in this case. Do not mess with the kids, plain and simple. HZ
Yes, meta. I hope and pray that I will be blessed to see them go through college and do some great things. Beautiful young ladies, indeed. We are so blessed to see young ladies growing up in the Whitehouse. They bring so much joy, and wonderful moments in our history to POB’s presidency. Love it.HZ
On PBO’s facebook page:
“A hug, circa 1992.”
“Twenty years later, she still gives pretty great hugs.”
In the accompanying photo, is it just me or does Michelle’s expression make her look just like Malia?
@vivalalisiano @Encino_Mann Me, too! :) http://t.co/cwssLeM0— (@LPMercer) May 26, 2012
That picture is amazing. Hope Chips sees it!!
Oh very good, I love it
stolen for my tweet.
LOVE it. to the point. Effective.
I am amaze that the media who went crazy when Hillary Rosen made her comment concerning Ann Romey not working outside the home. You would think that the media was working for the Romney campaign, the way they help make a non story into a story. But yet this same sorry ass media, barely gives this racists birther issue any attention. Here you have Mitt Romney having a fundraiser with Donald Trump, a racists birther, and the media is not calling for Mitt Romney to distance himself from birther Trump. They are silent about this, but they weren’t silent about the fake controversy made up over the Hillary Rosen comments. The media even tried to link her comments to the President. Okay where is the media going after Mitt Romney about his paling around with that birther Trump?
Get a clip of Tamron Hall on MSNBC who was excellent on this. Also, I saw many pundits speaking out about this on the various shows. I admit, I only watch MSNBC, so I don’t know about the coverage on other stations.
No coverage on any other channel. Needless to say, the President is expected to save the World.
He has His Hands full.
“I’m the Master Tweeter!” “I twooshed!” “I’m the twoosh master.” He is so darn cute!
BTW, Mayor Barrett is kicking #KOCHSTER Walker’s butt. Walker won’t even look at him when the Mayor is addressing him, directly. On cspan if you’re interested.
Thanks for the CSPAN info. I’m here with the grandson and I’m bound to watch Avatar, or Power Rangers/….sigh, I feel like a Ninja. At least now I can livestream the debate.
GOOD TO KNOW, MR BOB!!
This is a great Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-will-vote-for-Obama-in-2012/109880029049898
I am not that in to Facebook, but this is a worthy effort. I just wrote my ” I will vote for Obama” dissertation! Would love for TOD to sign on to this effort. Evelyn Ellis is my name on that page.
That was well written.
p.s. I sent you a friend request.
Thanks, Donna. Your request will be joyfully accepted.
Walker reminds me of Rubio, very slick, talking points mania, and very aggressive.
He is winning this debate and it pissed me off!
how long is the debate? it just needs a moment to remember and the headlines are written.
If WI votes back this slimeball and corrupt fool then they deserve what they will get
Exactly. People are whining on twitter, including bwd, that Obama should get to WI pronto. Why ? If the WIans think scum walker is what they wanted, scum walker is what they gonna get, Obama or not.
Don’t know how long, they’re talking about marriage and women equality now. I think Barrett is doing very good. He’s stating his case and Walker seems to be on the defensive, saying his view on equality is due to how the law is written in Wisconsin.
Here’s the link if you’re interested: http://www.c-span.org/Live-Video/C-SPAN/
Yes! In the beginning, walker sounded better prepared. I actually though Barrett Won.
When RW radio hosts in WI say “they both did fine”, that means Barrett did great. When the best they can say is, “No knock-out punch” — that’s pundit-speak for Barrett did just fine. Pundits like fireworks. Barrett was extremely effective at bringing the John Doe investigation into focus. I’m sorry pundits weren’t sufficiently entertained — Barrett got the job done.
The Journal-Sentinel’s initial coverage is pro-Barrett, with a little reading between the lines. fact-checkers are calling out some Walker lies (everything Walker said was a lie). The “false” for Barrett was when he effectively said that Walker pulled his employment numbers out of his ass — I guess that wasn’t quite accurate because we don’t have the video.
It’s all about turnout. While I agree with a lot of people who don’t understand why this isn’t a slam dunk (I don’t either and I was born, raised and went to college in WI) I also believe that winning this election will be a wind-at-our-back. A loss will be played up by Republicans like crazy and embolden Republican governors across the country. DWS was anemic today in more bracing for a defeat. I do not understand the position of the DNC on this race. I mean literally — I do not understand. Yeah, yeah I know that money was sent although there is some dispute. But there was no strong message from the party.
What is disturbing is that WI Democrats will feel betrayed by national Democrats and it will cool some PBO support. I’m hearing that this is a sentiment on the ground in WI — I have friends actively working there. I think some big name Dem’s should have been sent. Big gun Republicans are there. At this point if Biden were sent, it would be spun as desperation. I’m not pleased with how the party has handled it. OFA has been on the ground from the beginning. It should not stick to PBO but some of it will if Barrett does not win.
They were baiting us. Cone on in, they were saying, you are losing, come on in and save your Guy.
Meanwhile, they had unlimited resources, like Roves group, just waiting.
They were baiting us.
The Unions should have taken over, and matched the outside money. They could have. So, why not???
Unions are spending money for Barrett. Yes, they should have done so quicker than they have, but they are.
Let’s be clear – I DO NOT think PBO should go to WI. However, the optics of organized, unbridled support by Republicans gives Walker momentum. I’m talking to people who live in WI, never voted for Walker, have demonstrated, worked on the recall and are working on the election. These are not whiners who have sat in their chairs drinking beer complaining about their state. They did it all on their own to recall enough state senators to bring back balance to their state legislature. They’ve been working very, very hard and they feel that their party doesn’t care very much, when the RNC cares a whole lot. They’ve done this whole thing on their own. Do not shoot the messenger.
I’m a tad annoyed at this ‘they got what they deserved” when there are people in WI who have been working to fix this for a year and a half. A loss is WI makes our job more difficult November. IMO.
Thank you, 57. Most of the people bitching about this don’t have a clue what’s happening.
What is disturbing is that WI Democrats will feel betrayed by national Democrats and it will cool some PBO support….
This is first and foremost….the Fight of WI…..they have to be first and foremost in the lead…and it seems that they have been….to gather almost a million signatures is a tremendous lift….
now we have to bring it on for the final push….now is not the time to sqabble and whine….we cannot give into despair and believe the hype of Rove and company…..we can be victorious……
just as the President cannot match that money of Rove and Company….we have to make up for it in organization…..get our folks to the polls….
FORWARDDDDDDDDD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.LETS DO IT!
If the people of Wisconsin are going to emotionally boycott President Obama because he doesn’t correct the mistake THEY made, after he told them not to hand the keys back, then they’re a lost cause. They don’t actually understand the dire circumstances that they’ve brought onto themselves. This is not about the President. He’ll be fine. It’s about the lives of everyday people and their futures and their kids’ futures. They can’t stand up for themselves? This Wisconsin sentiment really confuses and confounds me.
Obama Supporters on Twitter defending the President from the far left and the far right, sometimes end up, unkowingly, in the other side…
It’s tough to take on paid Trolls from Rich Left and rightwing Libertarians. You have to be mentally tough.
Also, the President is not Thor, he does not have a magic hammer!!

Phila Mayor Nutter: Romney gets an “F” on Education
Now if only Mayor Nutter would back this up with real action in Philadelphia….
So I was looking for a particular picture of FLOTUS when I stumbled across this site (fingers crossed that my link will work):
Most of the pics I’ve seen, because our Chips is awesome; however, there were a few pics that I hadn’t seen. Anyway, just wanted to share with all of my first family lovers here.
Thanks Angela. There are also some stunning photos of Malia when you scroll to the bottom.
Beyonce will be going back to performing over the week-end in Atlantic City, N.J., her first performance since the birth of her baby girl. Do you think FLOTUS will catch one of Beyonce shows?
And she gives great hugs. :)
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:

I think the world of FLOTUS.
Me too. Donna, it’s such a coincidence that you posted this picture. There is another pic of her wearing the exact same shirt I believe but she has a big curly hairstyle that i have never seen her wear before. Anyway, she looked hotttt! A friend showed me the pic at work and I was just trying to find it with no luck.
the photo above is the actual photo taken at the White House – it is real.
I think I know the photo with the curly hair that is online and it was part of the article about making a statement with hair. I could be wrong but the photo with the curly hair is modified in order to fit the subject of the article about our hair. It imagine what the First Lady would look like with such hair
Oh I see. Tthanks Global. Our FLOTUS is absolutely stunning no matter what.
Does anyone else think that Michelle Obama gets more beautiful as she gets older?
I literally thought that about a half hour ago, Walking On Sunshine!
This is one of my favourite pictures of FLOTUS, along with the one of her in a blue dress where she’s sitting in front of some kids (and I think it’s polka dot and off one shoulder. She just gets more stunning. Her beauty shines from within.
Former Republican Congresswoman Blasts Modern GOP, Laments Party’s Approach To Women’s Issues thkpr.gs/Ko9AUO via @thinkprogress— Martha Ramirez (@sweetnonnie) May 26, 2012
Over her eight terms as a Congresswoman from Maryland’s Eight District, Connie Morella earned a reputation one of the strongest voices for women’s rights and reproductive choice in the Republican Party. A bipartisan-minded moderate, she worked with members of both parties to shepherd the 2000 re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act through the House with a 415 to 3 majority. Like former Sen. John Danforth (R-MO), she hardly recognizes her party today.
While she thinks the economy will be the biggest issue in the 2012 elections, she warns that if House Republicans insist on a Violence Against Women Act that says “except certain women,” it could hurt the party in November.
Morella says she’s disappointed with where the Republican Party has gone. “If I were there, I’d be one of the minorities voting against the party. There’s no big tent, not even a small tent. It collapsed.”
On a backlash for the GOP’s votes on women’s issues:
Women are a majority of the voting bloc. If they sense that some of the equities they worked so hard for are being taken away, you’ll see a backlash.
It good to see that some Republicans are beginning to see exactly what their party has become, how extreme, radical, racists they have become.
Good night everyone.
KOCH INDUSTRIES BLEW THE TENT UP. NOT SURE WHY THEY WEREN’T SMART ENOUGH TO BE MORE SNEAKY ABOUT THEIR DISDAIN FOR WOMEN, MINORITIES AND ANYTHING THAT ISN’T SOCIOPATHIC, AND PATHOLOGICAL LIAR WILLARD?
From PBO’s speech yesterday:
“And the problem with our economy isn’t that the American people aren’t productive enough—you’re working harder than ever. Productivity is through the roof. It’s been going up consistently over the last decade. The challenge we face right now—the challenge we’ve faced for over a
decade—is that harder work hasn’t led to higher incomes. Bigger profits haven’t led to better jobs. And you can’t solve that problem if you can’t even see that it’s a problem. (Applause.)”
Can I repeat this?
“the challenge we’ve faced for over a decade—is that harder work hasn’t led to higher incomes. Bigger profits haven’t led to better jobs.”
I love my President.
What I love is what he said shortly after this segment, about how Romney can’t solve the problem if he can’t see the problem. That’s the campaign, right there.
Just got the word: the Iowa campaign rally will be replayed on C-Span at midnight ET.
Is there anything that can be done to people who publish pictures of the First Kids when they are out on their own? There must be some kind of rules against those photographers and the idiots who publish the pictures. Makes me mad. I saw that little guy in the hat sitting on his dad’s shoulders again this evening that I mentioned yesterday. The President and all around were looking and laughing with the little guy.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will meet with Philippine President Benigno Aquino III on June 8 at the White House.
The White House says Obama looks forward to discussing the strategic, economic and “people to people” ties between the U.S. and the Philippines and their cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Obama has said the U.S. needs to deepen its engagement in the fast-growing Asia Pacific region, calling it critical to the nation’s security and economic prosperity. The Philippines is a longtime ally of the United States.

to those of us who were worried whether Team Obama would stop playing the bain/romney adverts, here is our answer:
Obama to Step Up Bain Ads
May 25 2012 7.29 p.m.
By CAROL E. LEE and PATRICK O’CONNOR
The Obama campaign, despite criticism from some of its supporters, plans to expand its attack on Mitt Romney’s role at Bain Capital by more aggressively tying the private-equity firm’s tactics to Mr. Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts, campaign officials said.
for full article please see
That’s good news.
Take that, Diane Feinstein!
There are too many CA Democrats that are bought and owned by Wall Street and special interest.
I knew when the Booker kerfuffle broke that Team Obama wasn’t going to stop doing what they’ve been doing.
Just wanted to see. Any TODers still awake or waking up out there? What’s good, what ‘s new?
Yes, awake xtine, and please scroll to the next comment and view the video and spread it to every person you possibly can.
Damn, Bobfr, I hadn’t seen that video, all put together, one of Willard’s #1 hits. Am passing it on for sure! Thank you.
Thank you and here are a few of the many tweets I’ll be posting ….

Be assured, the selection of those receiving each tweet was not an accident …
Bobfr, sounds like he’s been shopping around for a path to the presidency! Did I jus hear right that he tried to go for Gov or Utah? Then went to MA? So Utah didn’t like him too? I guess MI didn’t like hi either. So he went to MA? Nah, for real? Really, for real? I’ve used up all my dingbats! :)
Simply, he is a coward and a fake – to the core.
It should be an indelible mark of shame for any State to support him on 6 Nov 2012 – totally indelible.
If this guy wins one state in November then the Feds needs to find out who got paid off.
Yup – I’m here. I came online very late after a VERY busy day, so I’m catching up with absolutely everything. Responding to messages posted several hours ago – knowing nobody will ever see them…
Hello, Theo67! Anything that touched your soul that you could brng to this thread? Or point us to it?
I’m in Australia – and it’s much later – I just watched Bobfr’s video – I love the comment “He’s not pro-choice, he’s not anti choice – he’s multiple choice
Yess 99 that was a great line. Thanks for sharing Bob. Split Mitt is all over the place and going nowhere fast. I can’t wait for the debates. The GOP has been pushing the teleprompter line for so long that they’ve forgotten how fast PBO is on his feet. They confuse the commander with the campaigner. He’s going to trash Romney.
Dear Chips & ALL TODers,
It is essential you view this video.
#BullyMitt has violated the honor of, yes, HIS MOTHER.
You can expect many tweets along these lines, from me, in the months ahead …

The vile emptiness of this person, @MittRomney, truly achieves the ultimate physical limit of TOTAL VACUUM.
We Must Prevail
mitt the bullying liar is disgusting because he will say anything to advance his political ambitions.
how in the world do the rightwingers lie to themsleves that this multiple-sided liar is their flag-bearer?
These only reason why these right wing extreme radical Republicans support Mitt Romney is they want somebody to defeat the hated Barack Obama. Deep down they know he isn’t worth anything, but that don’t matter. De3feating this black President is all that matter to these people.
Defeating President Obama is all that matter to them.
I would like to know does the Obama campaign have any ads running in the state of North Carolina? I know Mitt Romney does, they have been running the last several weeks.
I am in FL. I see plenty of lies from “The Club for Growth” ad on ABC when I watch Jeopardy. I see all positive or “The Forward Ad” here especially on ESPN. Yes, ESPN is always on in the living room.
They have that National ad Forward running everywhere!
Last night Rachel Maddow played some of VP Biden speech he gave yesterday, and it was one heck of a speech. This was my first time listening to what he said, but I just wish I could hear the entire speech. But what little bit I did hear it made me respect and admire VP Joe Biden even more. I don’t care who Romney select as his VP, they couldn’t compare to our VP Biden.
I feel bad for Biden. The Media only plays His supposed Gaffes.
Here is a Giy, who obviously Cares about Us.
And the Media makes Him out to be Mentally challenged.
I loved His Speech, easily His best. Crickets!
I agree jovie141.
Me too. I watched his speech and it was moving and inspirational. Joe Biden is a genuine human being that is why the msm has to cut him down.
Found this for WI:
I am also on the side that the President should NOT go to WI. I live in FL and I can tell you we deserve what we get. I made calls in 2010…many were not voting. I blame my neighbors and will work harder in 2012.
And we had a lousy northern Florida candidate, he she still only list by 50k votes out of 5 million.
Shows you the State is very purple and is all about messaging.
Scott just purged 7k felons from the registra.
These people already got clemency. Sadly, they can’t vote.
Btw- for everybody that is mad at the President for not going to Wisconsin, with His magic Hammer.
This whole recall was a trap. At the State level, the Koch brothers have targeted Wisconsin. And because of Citizens United, they could have dumped 100 million bucks into that race.
The 25 million that Walker has, is peanuts to what they could have done.
They were just waiting for the President and His Team, to spend Money there.
It was a Trap.
Thus, Wisconsin is going to be Won, State Senate wise, city council wise, etc.
Start small and win back the Populace.
Nice one Jovie. People who swear they know politics (I’m looking at you Ed Schultz) didn’t see what was right in front of them. Walker and his ilk would have loved to turn this recall on its head and make it a referendum on PBO. Seems like The President and everyone on the ground knew the importance of keeping it local.
BTW how did Barrett do last night?
Of course, Chris Hayes has a black guy on slamming the President in his Race to the top program. Which he called just a different name fir no child left behind.
False. But not pushback, no Obama administration Person to defend Race to the Top.
