White House live
Thanks Chips, im digging the pic.
I love that picture of POTUS and FLOTUS.
Congratulations on first, Euqinoresq!
Thanks, it’s an honor. I must say the fave couple looks fantastic!!! But then again, they ALWAYS do.
I believe in AMERICA!
But I invest in the Cayman islands!
Perhaps Mitt was born in Amercia?
Have you actually SEEN his Michigan birth certificate?
“People” are saying that there are questions about the validity of that birth certificate.
Have you actually seen the raised seal?
You know that his father was from Mexico, and his grandfather was a polygamist.
How do we know, for sure, that he was born in Michigan?
(You know this is snark, but I want to go to Mitt’s website and copy and paste this….)
Psst. You spelled it wrong……:-)
USA – #RacistMitt is still hiding those 23 yrs of tax returns that caused #SenMcCain to pick #SecessionistPalin instead of him. Wonder why.— Bobfr (@Our4thEstate) May 30, 2012
And, Jen Granholm will have David Axelrod on her show today, btw.
So cynical Mitt Romney released his birth certificate yesterday while schmoozing with birther Donald Trump but the American people will just have to wait for his tax returns.
He was just being a smart ass with his birth certificate. The man has nothing going for him except money and even that is dripping with disgust.
Ladyhawke I just email ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN and ask them why haven’t Mitt Romney release his tax returns? I haven’t question if he was born in the U.S., but I have question what is he hiding about his taxes?
Awesome Anniebella. Thanks for doing that. When I heard that Mitt Romney had released his birth certificate, I couldn’t help but think of what Barney Frank said about him. He said there is a meanness at his core. That was just nasty. I am so repulsed by Romney that I can barely stand to see him or hear his voice. I know I will be wearing out the mute button tonight watching the cable shows on MSNBC.
He was basically adding credibility to the birthers. He’s scum of the earth – no wonder he feels so comfortable amongst filth.
Last year’s tax return will be so cleaned up by the time he releases it. I would hope there would be a demand for all those past returns that sent McCain scampering toward Alaska.
I continue to hope against hope that journalists in D.C. will reach a breaking point. Ok, many media people seem to be angry at Barack Obama for some reason ( unconscious jalousy, resentment because Pres. Obama doesn’t hide his contempt for them and doesn’t play the game of the cocktail parties, or whatever…). HOWEVER, my GOD, it’s becoming IMPOSSIBLE for any sane person who follows politics closely to not realize how Mitt Romney is so far below Barack Obama in terms of character, honesty, dignity, empathy for others, and on and on…
What will it TAKE for the media to finally hold Romney accountable ?
how do we know that Willard isn’t a unicorn?
I, and 18,000 other people want proof.
I do! the people of AZ are asking the stupid SOB of a SOS to find out:) Considering that he had “requests and questions ” about PBO’S b/c that he just HAD to investigate…some enterprising people had a little “question” as to whether or not MItt was a unicorn….17,000 people worth!!! Will he “investigate” that??? Only in AZ:)
More Romney Fibs on the Economy
Looks like the Mitt Romney campaign has found yet another way to manipulate the truth. This time it’s about how his record as a job creator compares to President Obama’s.
First, some background: As you probably know, Romney frequently says that, under Obama’s watch, the country lost jobs. That’s true in the technical sense: Since the end of January 2009, when Obama became president, the country has lost about 850,000 jobs. But the comparison is utterly meaningless. Obama inherited an economy in free-fall. Most of the job losses happened during the first few months, before his legislation passed and took effect.
A more accurate way to judge Obama would be to look past those early losses. Princeton political scientist Larry Bartels, for example, has suggested starting the clock a year after a president takes office. Using that method, the Daily Beast’s Michael Tomasky estimated that the country has actually gained 3.6 million jobs during Obama’s tenure. You can argue that waiting a whole year is too long, that Obama should be responsible for employment changes after only a few months. But that would reduce the extent of job gains, not eliminate them.
If America let’s Romney into the White House, they must know that there won’t be another President Obama waiting in the wings to fix what gets broken. It’s so insulting to think that people think Romney is worthy of being compared to President Obama – it diminishes the nation. And it’s the height of ungratefulness for the work this Administration has slogged through to recover this country for the past three years, after Cheney and Bush marched happily out of the White house, leaving hundreds of thousands of troops in combat without an exit plan, leaving millions of Americans out of work and home, leaving their useless party without any direction – ripe for the picking by the worst elements of society. The whole thing makes me ill.
The sad part is there are no “Recalls” for the President. He will start a war to make sure he will get re-elected. When they start running up the deficit then say “deficits don’t matter” when you are a Republican, we akk will be in deep deep do do and NO ONE will admit to voting for the bastard.
People got away with that under Bush, claiming not to have voted for him, and not understanding the evil he was perpetrating around the world. The world won’t forgive it a second time, especially when the person being replaced is someone as honourable as President Obama. It just won’t fly.
I feel the way you do. Walker/Romney = panic mode.

I don’t care what level it was….yea like there’s a difference…..it’s not the point at all.
That ad was THEIR creation, a 4 minutes ad……..and they ran it on the air…
Ok I know there’s no regulations whatsover in the media.
But isn’t it illegal?…..it doesn’t make sense.

DO WE REALLY WANT ANOTHER BUSINESSMAN MBA FOR PRESIDENT?? (GWB was the first MBA president.)
A three-year minimum?
By Steve Benen
I’m not suggesting there’s a causal relationship here, but the point is it’s foolish to assume that good businessmen make good presidents when there’s so much evidence to the contrary.
Daniel Akst, a columnist for Newsday, consulted with Barbara Perry, a senior fellow at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, to determine the employment background of every president. His conclusion: “It’s important to know whether a president has worked in business. It’s important because having worked in business is associated with being a lousy president, at least in the modern era.”
I don’t imagine many voters are aware of the historical record at this level of detail, but for those who care about the facts, Romney’s new talking point doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Danish company Ramboll is teaming up with Louisiana outfit Keystone Engineering and UK consultancy PMSS to design wind turbine foundations for the 468MW Cape Wind project off Massachusetts.
The partners said the project “marks the turning point for offshore wind energy” in the US and that it expects the 130-turbine job off Cape Cod to the first of many.
According to Ramboll director of offshore wind Klaus Jacob Jensen, the breakthrough holds great potential for the wind industry as a whole.
“Cape Wind is likely to spearhead several other projects in the US. That could potentially benefit the entire industry and also lead to the creation of new jobs,” he said.
Wisconsin Democrats are firing back at the latest Marquette University Law School poll of the state recall election, which put Republican Gov. Scott Walker ahead of Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett by a 7-point margin — in an effort to tamp down negative public perception as they head into the election’s final week.
“Clearly this poll is out of step with everything else that is out there, and clearly with the political reality,” state Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate said Wednesday on a conference call with reporters. “There have been three polls out in the last few days that have shown a dead heat, clearly a competitive race.”
Tate was referring to three internal polls that have been released in the last few days from the Barrett campaign, the Democratic Governors Association and the liberal Greater Wisconsin Committee, which have ranged from a tie to a Walker lead of 3 points.
Everyone seems to be saying that the Wi. recall election will be telling, predictive—-if billionaire money can buy an election. And will not portend well for our future if Walker prevails. And even on “progressive” radio today, they were saying what a “brilliant” politician Walker is—-he’s going to be a future president—-god forbid—-and that he is going to be the next Reagan. Etc. etc. etc. So much right now is infuriating beyond belief—–mind-boggling in the extreme. And we’re supposed to believe women are now flocking to Willard—-can’t wait to give up all their rights and access to family planning issues etc.? Everyone is pushing that poll today. Are we to suspend belief and reason??? Quadruple sigh!!!

IN 2002 TIME MAGAZINE CALLED GWB “THE CEO PRESIDENT” OF USA, INC. (This is a fascinating read.)
FLASHBACK: If the United States were a company, would George Bush be our CEO?
The first MBA president probably wouldn’t keep his job if he had to face a board of directors. But short of impeachment, what can be done to rein him in?
By Warren Hellman (February 22, 2007)
The president of the United States is the chief executive officer of the most powerful economic machine in the world, yet his performance is rarely evaluated from that perspective. In fact, President Bush is the first president to have earned a master’s of business administration and run a company; in 2002 Time magazine called him “the CEO president,” noting his Harvard MBA and business experience.
When advising a board on how to evaluate a CEO, I tell them to review his or her performance in the following areas: implementing the company’s fiscal and monetary policies, developing and successfully executing strategic plans, seeing that well-qualified personnel and managers are appointed, ensuring stability and long-range success, and respecting and protecting the charter and bylaws of the institution. How is President Bush doing on each of those counts?
And finally, we the people, the voters, have to use this valuable set of lessons in choosing our next chief executive. We have to learn to tune out the hyperbole surrounding a campaign and try to objectively evaluate the next president’s ability to govern and administer, to discern his or her genuine aptitude to lead the country out of the troubles we find ourselves in after two terms of President Bush. We must remember that we the people are the stockholders; it is our company; it is our country, and those we elect are our employees — and are responsible to us. We cannot afford another failure as CEO.
There’s no employee who would keep his/her job after not answering basic questions from his/her employer or demonstrating even the most basic proficiency to do their job, let alone having a track record of failure. Why, then, is Mitt the nominee of the Republican party?
You can expect the situation in Syria to change in the next 4-7 days. Just a heads up (a la the various missives shared with you about Libya between Feb-Sep 2011).
I don’t know if anything is a good option?
In a GOOD way??? Those poor people having to go through this. My heart aches for them.
The Syrian people will determine their destiny, not ASSad, the Russians, Iranians or anyone else. They have lots of friends.
FYI, this is not an isolated situation and if you think what we call ‘corporate media’ is even close to conveying what is actually happening in Syria (and Somalia and lots of other places) well ….
The Town of Al Qouriyah in Deir Ez Zor area appears now to be under opposition control.
Many other areas of Syria are likely in the same status now.

The Commerce Department made a preliminary decision Wednesday to impose new tariffs on imports of wind energy towers from China, the latest volley in an escalating trade war between the two superpowers over expanding green technology markets.
The move by Commerce also reflects a show of strength by the Obama administration against China at a time when presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has criticized the administration for going soft.
Yeah , too bad W was not tough in action with China as he was in disrepect when away from them. The Obama admin has been tough, and respectful toward China from day one. They’ve won 1 or 2 international trade cases against them- tires and not sure if there was another. Why even bring up GOP on this. They’ve taken every lone over the years and W had nada to say to them when in China for the olympics! All that tough talk at home and nothing!

GOP groups plan record $1 billion blitz
By: Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei
May 30, 2012 04:34 AM EDT
Republican super PACs and other outside groups shaped by a loose network of prominent conservatives – including Karl Rove, the Koch brothers and Tom Donohue of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – plan to spend roughly $1 billion on November’s elections for the White House and control of Congress, according to officials familiar with the groups’ internal operations.
That total includes previously undisclosed plans for newly aggressive spending by the Koch brothers, who are steering funding to build sophisticated, county-by-county operations in key states. POLITICO has learned that Koch-related organizations plan to spend about $400 million ahead of the 2012 elections – twice what they had been expected to commit.
Just the spending linked to the Koch network is more than the $370 million that John McCain raised for his entire presidential campaign four years ago. And the $1 billion total surpasses the $750 million that Barack Obama, one of the most prolific fundraisers ever, collected for his 2008 campaign.
I heard a tea bagger declaring that people/corporations should be allowed to donate as much as they want – no limits – and Americans can then decide if the candidate is being influenced or not.
Yeah , that’s a tea bagger for ya. Short on commen sense let alone logic!
People should just be outraged by this. If the news media would report these facts, I would think people would take to the streets. The Supreme Ct. wrecked this country and democracy with that disastrous Citizens United Decision. Al just played a tape of one of the Koch boys at one of their seminars talking about donating billions and all the other billionaires were laughing their heads off, just thrilled at the anticipation of buying an election. I couldn’t be more disgusted.
The ease with which people are calling Holder “chickenshit” and “useless” and “lazy” is disturbing to me.
I would love to hear from actual lawyers or people with REAL knowledge of the law as it pertains to voting rights and the Department of Justice and what the DOJ and AG can actually do aside from useless rhetoric that leads to nothing because there is not much that they can really do.
I would prefer to hear from someone with facts NOT sentiment and emotional outrage.
How about charges against the Voting Rights Act? I’m no expert either, but I would think there is a remedy to a state purging their voter rolls in order to affect a federal election.
L35: I have no knowledge of the law, but have you seen the section on Smartypants blog that deals with the DOJ? SP usually deals in facts/research. She has been following Holder’s office for quite a while and has a section titled “DOJ WATCH” where she stores pertinent information. I’ve never checked it out myself, but since you have an interest I’d suggest you take a look. The general link to her blog is on the right of this screen. Hope this is helpful. VC
I’ll check it out. Thanks for understanding the intent behind my comment and providing me with this info. I appreciate it.
No sweat. That’s why we are here – to help each other to relevant info through combined efforts.
GALLUP, N.M. – On Saturday, June 2, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly will break ground on the long-awaited Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project in New Mexico. Eventually the project will provide a 280-mile-long pipeline, two water treatment plants and delivery systems that will bring water to more than 250,000 people and more than 43 Navajo chapters, portions of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and the city of Gallup.
The initial stage of construction on the project that begins on Saturday will create upwards of 450 jobs, with more than 650 jobs at peak construction.
Secretary Salazar and President Shelly will be joined by a wide variety of other top tribal, state. Federal and local officials for the ceremony; a partial list follows.
PBO has kept his promises to the First Nation. I hear their representatives and they are very appreciative
Well, I can tell by the starting time listed that I’ve more than missed the Jew-Am reception, so I’ll quietly mosey on through the threads offered today.
Hello there! We need to touch base, just to update ourselves, I guess. Starting Friday and for the month of June I suspect I’m going to be like a breeze passing through. We’ll see.
I’m here for June, and then off for a couple of weeks in early July. We’ll figure it out.
Okey Dokey! I suspect I’ll be extremely busy for the first week and a half, then things will stabilize once I set up my routines and expectations.
Have yourself a great rest-of-the-week in case our paths don’t cross!

ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER “Protecting Our Democracy, Protecting the Right to Vote”
An Evening With Eric Holder, Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 6:00 p.m., LBJ Auditorium
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder pledged to use the Voting Rights Act against any attacks to deny Americans access to the ballot box. Holder spoke at the LBJ Library in Austin on “Protecting our Democracy, Protecting the Right to Vote” and called voting rights a legal and moral imperative. President Lyndon Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act into law in August 1965.
Attorney General Eric Holder Speaks at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library & Museum
Austin, TX ~ Tuesday, December 13, 2011
Since January, more than a dozen states have advanced new voting measures. Some of these new laws are currently under review by the Justice Department, based on our obligations under the Voting Rights Act. Texas and South Carolina, for example, have enacted laws establishing new photo identification requirements that we’re reviewing. We’re also examining a number of changes that Florida has made to its electoral process, including changes to the procedures governing third-party voter registration organizations, as well as changes to early voting procedures, including the number of days in the early voting period.
Although I cannot go into detail about the ongoing review of these and other state-law changes, I can assure you that it will be thorough – and fair. We will examine the facts, and we will apply the law. If a state passes a new voting law and meets its burden of showing that the law is not discriminatory, we will follow the law and approve the change. And where a state can’t meet this burden, we will object as part of our obligation under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
I wonder when this will happen as the election is already being affected by the “you are ineligible to vote” letters sent out with more on the way.
After the Election, obviously!
I will call tomorrow. My info in the previous thread was NOT meant to be threatening, or to even infer that the DOJ wasn’t doing their job. Rather it was to simply call them and share my angst about what was happening in FL and other states that is denying citizens their right to vote. It was meant as a fact finding. I want to know that they’re on this. I don’t expect them to tell me every detail of what they’re doing, just that they have those bases covered and are working on it. I. for one, am not a Holder basher. I think that he’s done as good a job as one could given the amount of shit piled on his plate….and the amount of shit that CONTINUES to get needlessly piled on his plate by Republicans looking to skirt, or downright defy the laws of this land. I’m calling in the morning.
Latest electoral map from RCP has PBO with 243 electoral votes and Romney with 170. It’s all about getting to 270 no matter what the national polls say.
I’d say PBO as solid leads in states with 303 and that is what Moody’s is projecting as the final outcome.
Do you have a link; not familiar with their electoral map?

She has zero credibility. There will come a day when she’ll look back at her life and all her accomplishments, and feel shame at her priorities and lack of principles and integrity. She is a HUGE disappointment.

AP story on the Obama to Willard call with comments from Axelrod etc.
From the article:
“Romney hopes to present himself as a worthy replacement for Obama who can help revitalize a slow-moving economy, the most important issue for voters.
The country is “just beginning a general election, we’ve gone through a primary … not a lot of people focus time on the characteristics of a new candidate like myself, and people will get to know me better. My guess is they’re going to get to know more about me than they’d like to by the time we’re finished,” Romney said in an interview on Fox News that aired Wednesday but was taped over the weekend”.

No they did not. If they did, then Solis made a huge mistake, for many reasons. Albeit, I don’t see that happening!
I watched the debate and Tom Barrett was looking directly at him often but not the other way around…that’s what liars do….
That same marquete poll had the President beating Robney in Wisconsin, by 8 points!
Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz told 75 Democratic Party supporters Wednesday that the national party was “putting all of our effort into this fight” to help Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett topple Gov. Scott Walker in Tuesday’s recall election.
“Scott Walker has worked hard to make sure that people think that he’s the rock star of the right-wing tea-party extremism that the Republican Party has allowed to take them over,” she said. “And that is not what voters in Wisconsin want to see happen.
Schultz made two appearances in Wisconsin, appearing with Barrett at a fundraiser in Milwaukee and then speaking with campaign volunteers at a Democratic Party headquarters in Racine.
She turned aside suggestions that the DNC wasn’t fully supportive of the recalls.
“To date, we’ve put over $1.5 million into this state to make sure that we could both get the recall on the ballot, help with the signature-gathering effort, coordinate with the grassroots on the ground,” she said.
The Florida Congresswoman said the 21 Obama for America offices are fully working on the recall effort.
Wasserman Schultz said “we clearly have a lot at stake here in Wisconsin.”
She said a Barrett victory in Tuesday’s election would “be the beginning of the downfall of tea party politics that Americans have been rejecting.”
Wasserman Schultz said former President Bill Clinton “is in the process of sorting out his schedule before next Tuesday” to come to Wisconsin.

went ahead and renewed my rent for my current apartment. I was thinking about moving, but I realized that I don’t really feel like moving, and I actually do like the apartment (where else can I get a one bedroom with a large living room, nice kitchen (w/island stove) and an attached garage, oh and did I mention it’s on the 1st floor. The walls are major thick (I’m not even sure that I’ve ever heard any noises coming from neighbors on either side of me) and the location is pretty quiet and only 5 mins from my new job. I did actually look at other apartments. I had 10 picked out, but after reading some reviews and checking out BBB on each property, I ended up with only 2 choices and I just figures forget it, so I re-upped for 14 months.
That’s sounds Super NICE, lamh! I don’t really want to move again EVER! This is my fourth move since I landed on the Island in 2010. Mine’s a studio loft..tiniest place I’ve ever had but 2 blocks from the beautiful Ocean AND the Library. I don’t have a car so it’s perfect.

For those who are finding Eric Holder not suitable, nor up to the task of heading the DOJ in matters regarding voter suppression, please find the link that proves your point. It is bad enough for the other side to cast aspersions on our good and humble civil servants, without those in our own camp making unfounded, or at least undocumented accusations about his failure to act. I agree that any person with a beef about any governmental agency should contact them, petition them, even commit civil disobedience in protest or to get their point across. This is different, this is a condemnation without substantiation. This line of attack is personal and alarming.
I just saw a clip on Hardball of Holder speaking to the voter’s rights issue, and it brought me to where I had to say something about what I’ve read. Bing is your buddy, and Google is your friend, use them to share with us where Holder isn’t on the case.
I agree with you on this Cookemom. I’ve been angry about this mess, now I really do need to get educated. I’ll read all the info shared in the last couple of comment sections. I just do not get any vibe whatsoever that Eric Holder is less than a smart, man of convictions. There has been so much BS needing attention in the last 3 years. I appreciate his hard work. This is all about a long game with the GOP.
I still remember one of his first speeches about racial inequality in the justice department. It is near and dear to his heart. I’ll have to view the vid on voter supression. This is the bedrock of democracy. People need to get off their butts and use this right, blood has been shed and sacrafices made. Just WOW!
I haven’t read the entire thread so don’t know what this conversation is about (and don’t want to know today), but, for what it’s worth, I do know that Smartypants has an ongoing cache of info on the DOJ called “DOJ WATCH” for anyone interested in seeing the info she has collected over a period of time, The title is situated at the top of her page on the ‘tool bar’.
vcprezofan2 Thank you for reminding us of DOJ watch on Smartypants page. I hadn’t looked at that for quite a while.
My pleasure. We have so many resources that sometimes we forget where some info is readily available.
Mahalos, cookemom! I was thinking about that earlier and you’ve voiced it perfectly..so glad you saw AG Holder on Hardball and reported back. i had been thinking that they could be doing all kinds of things under the radar right now to take care of this heinous assault on American Voters’ RIGHTS!

Northern CA OFA has just been assigned phonebanking for Wisconsin tomorrow through Tuesday.
I have to see if SoCal OFA has been assigned the same. I’ve been totally out of the loop since my vacation started. But I’ll come roaring back on Monday!
Hey, I wondered where you’ve been! Hope you’re enjoying yourself!
I’ll bet all of CA and other parts of the nation will be given the same task. All hands on deck!!
I just emailed my team leader to find out. If they have something going on Sunday I’ll show up with my trusty laptop.
There you are! We were wondering what happened. Clearly I don’t pay close enough attention, or I’d have known you were on vacation. Enjoy.
You, I keep meaning to check in, but by the time my wife and I are done taking the in-laws around, we are wiped. We were out all day yesterday – lunch at Neptune’s Net on PCH in Malibu, then up to the Camarillo outlet mall. Left at noon and didn’t get back til 7. All three of them are snoring right now – I had to take mother for an ultrasound, so no nap for me.
Where did everybody go?
I usually stay away from Sunday talking heads — need to keep sane. I just had fun watching a couple of segments of Hardball — yep, I usually stay away from that show for the same reasons. I never know if Chris is on his “tingle” phase or not. Ayhoo, John Lewis was talking about voter suppression. I could see such pain in his face at him seeing this crap that’s going on. That’s my take. Next up was “Hawkish Mitt” shit on Syria and McCain talking his usual last Sunday. Then they showed a clip of Amb. Susan Rice’s response. Here comes Gen. Paul Eaton on that Sunday visit by McC and totally blew away McC. Paraphrasing here: “Sen McCain hasin’t recovered from 2008. All he talks about is air strike, air strike, ari strike. I’m delighted to hear Amb. Rice & the subtlety with which she speaks! ” Dang!
BTW, Chris Matthews said something about Amb. Rice’s name being floated around as next Secretary of State. I hadn’t heard that one, but I’m all good with that choice!
Amb Susan Rice has done a fantastic job at the UN and PBO just speaks so highly of her. I hope she get the job of Secretary of State
Right on GCL! She’s so darn smart and I believe her stint at the UN has totally honed her diplomatic skills. Just listening to her response to McC’s comments was a thing of beauty!
@EricBoehlert @JeffersonObama Eric..everyone knows that Politico is a fancy word for toilet paper. Treat it that way.— Debra Hendrix (@debrahendrix) May 31, 2012
GOPolitico treats their readers like Mushrooms…keeps them in the Dark and Feeds them Shite.
Cha wins the internets!!!!!!
Axelrod is on Current right now!
I’m asking friends if they can make a $5 or more donation to my grassroots fundraising page for @barackobama. Can you?
Since you, my TODers, are so gracious to give us a run down on Morning Joke (don’t know how you do it!), I’ll return the via a small favor. OK, on Ed Show, the best segment (missed a few, might have to rewind to justify that statement) was Crystal (sp?) Ball on that panel w/ Huntsman’s daughter. Crystal, in her lovely way, just basically demolished H’s daughter. I”m liking C. Ball!
Damn. it didn’t work. Anybody know how to transpose a tweet to this thread? I thought I did but I blew it.
Hi Yardarm…expand the tweet, right click on details, click on copy link location and paste in the comments.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try after I get a short rhum and coke.
Is it this one?
Yes. That’s the one.
Thanks prettyfoot, but I wanted to bring one of my tweets over like Bobfr does.
New post everyone:
Last December I travelled overseas to visit family and friends. Anyway, apart from the trip being amazingly lovely, I met quite a few people along the way — some family, some just people such as those one meets in transit at airports. One main question from each person with whom I had a conversation was: “Will PBO be re-elected? I emphatically said, “Yes he will. Only way he doesn’t is if the R’s steal the votes.” One of my uncles said to me, “You need to get busy over there and make sure they do not do that!” He was truly concerned, because in his world that’s happened way too much. Another asked why Jimmy Carter’s “vote team” doesn’t just get out there & verify votes as they do all over the world! Hah! It was a good question! The world knows that the R’s are going to try to disenfranchise voters just to win. Moreover, what they are most worried about is what will happen to the world if the R’s succeed. We and the world have huge stakes in this election.
Please, fabulous TODers, let’s just keep at it!
I never watch Ed Schultz, but decided to tune in to catch Crystal Ball and that Huntsman daughter. I really hope they get on soon, cause Ed gets on my last nerve, and I never put my last nerve n jeopardy. In other news, I got a call from OFA asking if I could travel to Wisc on Saturday to help mobilize voters. I’m not able to go there, but I did volunteer to phone bank on Monday and Wednesday.
