OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. thank you, Chips!! Now I can pretend that’s ME!!!
Or ME! Go right ahead and pretend that’s me, even though I’m not first, since I could have been first, were I first!
Congrats DF. Have a great day.
Congratulations df and jacquelineoboomer….. yeah lets take turns pretending that us PBO is holding in his arms, squeezing us tight, and whispering sweet naughties in our ear…. …..yes, dear I love you tooooooo……
I came back to stare at the pic you left for me, Chips…TY….I think I actually CAN feel those arms…
Congrats on first, desertflower!
Thank you, andogriff:) I thought for a moment I was over here all by myself…and everyone was talking to themselves over there….like I usually do!
Oh so you left ME to it! I was going merrily along the thread including my profound insights until it dawned that the place was awfully silent! Talking too much will be the death of me. Congratulations, Df!
TY:) You are not the ONLY one that talks to herself when the family is somewhere else! I do that. DAILY!
That must be our role in the family, Df. You know, like middle child, we are the family talk to yourselfers, so focused on what we are saying we are oblivious when the rest of the clan moves to another room. Thing is, much like Willard, I don’t think I can be reprogrammed at this stage. The times when I catch CC posting is when I shut up with the conversation and focus only on that, or happen to drop in in a timely moment.
I think you must be right:)
One of the best so far, methinks!
Good morning (or afternoon for you east coasters) and to you too Chips. I know last week you were super busy and this is your busy weekend for work, but I was first one day last week and didn’t get a picture. Being first is a reward in itself but…..I am just saying, I might hijack some of the first pictures all weekend. Have a great day everyone!
Yes, the ad is excellent, I am going to try and share it with my mailing list.
congratulations on 1st desertflower. Oh I love this new ad – it’s so great.
Thank you, cluny:) Great ad! “I don’t want to put money in your pockets, that’s the other party’s job” …..moron
yes – that’s the best line of the clip and then the coup de grace is delivered – the ubiquitous ‘let detroit go bankrupt’. The editors must love working on Romney clips – he has such dumb expresions on his face – you could practically cut to anything and have him standing there lookin stupid.
Romney’s facial expressions don’t inspire a single ounce of confidence. I’m not sure how anyone could think he could be President, especially after the awesomeness of President Obama. Romney always looks dumbfounded.
Could Myth have hand picked a whiter audience for his background? What a regular guy he is! (groan)
Someone help me out here…what does this even MEAN???
It’s completely bizarre DF, what the hell?!?!
HE’S bizarre! Things he thinks are funny, I don’t understand
I don’t get the first part of it but the hard drives part sounds like he’s laughing at them because he and his staff got away with something.
That’s why it looks like Derbingle, what an incredible thing to joke about??
I am mystified as well, this man is so completely out of touch…. it is mind boggling.
I think it’s a stupid reference to his time as Mass govern when he cleaned out the office of all the office hardrives when he left so that there wouldn’t be a record left. Ha ha – Mitt’s so funny – not – but those reporters are so dumb maybe they find it hilarious. I think one of the most grotesque spectacles is watching Romney hand out food to the press on the plane (sorry aircraft) occasionally. They seem so pathetically grateful. I don’t know why but it offends me.
Suspect it’s an inside joke – and a way it get people talking about Romney’s funny side rather than immigration.
Great commercial. (Sigh) Every Democrat should at least once in their lifetime have a Mitt Romney to run against.
now if mitt can just get folks to self-throw under the bus, his tour will be complete.
Congrats on first df!!! Has everyone voted in the runway TShirt design? Check it out:
You are most welcome I picked the map one, the pale pink with hope and change, and the “greater together” one. Which ones did you pick?
My exact choices.
We have good taste, don’t we?
Great ad. Tweeted.
Good Saturday to everyone, you will see me back later to catch up on the past 2 days, BUT, I just want to say that it makes me furious to see how these conservative creeps treet PBO. I’m sure everyone else vented. I will be back, very fired up about this crap.
That ad seemed hokey to me. Crappy ‘music’; weird graphics…strange message. Wow, DNC…is that all you’ve got?
Yikes, I thought it was excellent.
What I really liked about it was that it captured Mitt’s positions. To me, as one of the diverse ‘voters’ out there it caught my attention because HE is speaking versus someone telling me what he thinks. I’m not musical so I don’t usually register the musical aspect unless someone points it out. It works very well for me.
That’s EXACTLY what Mitt Romney is Tien le…using your own terms, substitute “Romney’s policies,” for “music” “graphics” and “message,” and you have the message of this brilliant DNC ad
Romney’s policies are crappy, weird and strange.
Nailed it in one. Loved that they used his words to show just how out of touch he is with the middle-class. From state to state he keeps showing that he just doesn’t get it.
no – it’s a great ad – the music is hokey and silly but it matches his approach to serious issues – it juxtaposes nicely how careless he is in his approach to other people. It’s good ‘car crash’ good ol boy music and it gets through a lot of information quickly – good for watching on the TV at home. And it’s the sort of ad you could do a series out of – like the ‘Mitt Vs reality’ series.
It’s a metaphor!
I loved it.
Snark has a tingle up his leg for Willard’s dull speech and sullen crowd in a dilapidated building in the backwoods of PA!
Snark is back? Wonder if s/he’s fully recovered from whatever it was that ailed her/him? Thanks, Hf. Bye, you all, I’m off to Twitter for a bit.
Here you go VC – is this the way you wanted it?
but CC, (as the second in the series) could I have the young lady with the spiky hair, on the stage, off to the side a bit with PBO, AND the same caption? [That's the one I originally envisioned but didn't explain it well, I guess.] They look like they are having a serious meaningful conversation, and it touched something in me (never having had a meaningful conversation with my own father). It’s the first picture on the ‘Ohio to New York’, June 14th post. Please? Pretty please with stevia….oh okay,… with alcohol, if you insist. Just because I don’t drink is no reason to try and taint your pleasure.
Ah! This one?
Or this one?
Either view works beautifully. Thanks, O Goddess of my Twitterverse!
Chips Chica, you do know that I have never been this spoilt in all of my very long life eh, having my wishes/hopes satisfied? One of the drawbacks of being the strong one in the family is that you are always the prop, never the propee, So oodles of ‘Thanks’ to you!
Chips Chica: Muchas gracias. Merci buckets! Tante grazie! (Looked up the last one on The Google, so hope they know what they’re talking about!)
VC, I’m deeply offended – you forgot the Irish for thank you:
Go raibh mile maith agat
Shame on you!
Humblest apologies. I wasn’t thinking. Sorry. Please forgive. I tend to associate the Irish very strongly with spoken English, because you all speak it so well. Please give me another chance.
(Ahem…. cough… clearing throat..)
For making me a picture of that very, very poignant moment, CC, Muchas gracias. Merci buckets! Tante grazie! Go raibh mile maith agat! ó mo chroí!
One of these days you can give me pronunciation lessons, ‘cos even though I cleared my throat, and even though I mean them sincerely, I wasn’t able to VOICE the last two sentences.
Sheesh VC, it’s easy!
After me: Guh rev mila mah a guth
Now, watch this video a few times and you’ll be an expert – please note the talking horses.
Well, Chips, I did the lessons several times and feel I bit more confident…for now. Of course it would be so much easier IF I could see the correspondence between the letters (as I normally pronounce them) and the sound the kind lady was producing. However, I do like languages, so I intend to persevere over time. Who knows, when we meet at the Inauguration, maybe I’ll be an expert on two or three of these phrases.
You’ll have to give me a few language lessons at the inauguration!
I can’t wait to show off my new language skills!
Aubamanepadme aum……like this?
OH wow! I just got back to the site after runnimg errands. This is beautiful!! Thanks so much Chips; I love it and I love you!!
It was YOUR idea CB, thank you!!!!
And an excellent and timely idea it was CEB. Thank YOU! I intend to retweet it again tomorrow. and hope others will too.
If Romney has his way they’ll all wind up living in that dilapidated building. They just don’t know it yet.
The body language of the audience is very telling. Angry, sullen, tightly folded arms, frowns, very few smiles…
They don’t like their candidate – they just hate PBO…
I can understand not liking Romney. But hating a guy (PBO) that’s going above and beyond to make their live better? That’s sad.
It’s also sad that Romney obviously doesn’t give a shit about their problems and if they vote for him their financial situation will only get much worse. Barney Frank was right – there’s a real meanness at Romney’s core..
What’s interesting to me is that Willard CONSISTENTLY gets this protective, angry body language in his crowds, while President Obama CONSISTENTLY gets hugs/open arms, joy, laughter, pats of the arm, shoulder, face, etc!. We could take a series of pictures ACROSS the passage of TIME from 2007 to now and reflect this EXACT, SAME, reaction! We probably should just encourage Repubs to do their own photo series of Willard’s meeting with his public, draw their own conclusions, and vote accordingly. They wouldn’t really need to listen to him themselves, just channel the reaction of his SUPPORTIVE listeners – nary a one is encouraged or hopeful by his ‘plans for the country’. It is such an obvious and sustained response to WIllard.
Hey Hf, I didn’t find Snark, so I’m going to answer my twitter mail.
Boy, hopefruit2, that would make a mean book title for Romney’s future two-page memoirs: “My life is a dull speech and sullen crowd in a dilapidated building in the backwoods of PA.” Think I’ll go tweet that, if it fits.
Loved the crowd shot that Snark gave us – the “recipients” of the dull speech are even in the arms-crossed defense posture, and they all look as though they need to use the rest rooms. Quickly.
Can someone tell me the point of Romney’s campaign stops in these tiny rural places. Today he’s coming to one of the most remote locations in our county, a place so out of the way it is virtually unpopulated. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. Our county is so small it rarely gets a presidential candidate visit. (PBO once stopped here in 2008 to attend church in our one tiny “city.”) Candidates for any office who do take time to campaign here like to collect crowds and so head for the actual towns. But Romney heads away from population centers. Does he think if he comes close to an actual town or borough, he’ll encounter real human beings who–gasp–aren’t white? It is truly weird.
My idea is he thinks people in outlying areas might nit be very smart, or in touch. He might even hope they will be dazzled by one so magnificent as himself, and thus turn out in numbers large enough to fill a camera frame.
yep–i think he likes to dazzle the ‘hicks’. just another example of his disdain for the 99%.
Watch out America—Something Wicked This Way Comes
I .Love this ad!!
If there is still any doubt about the STUPID…..
HEY! remember that Tweet the other day? No body knew who “Gityo” was…and Gityo make a ridiculous lying comment? I said something like, “Gityo ass out of govt because you don’t know what you’re talking about?” Well…HERE”S the Gityo lady! Just as fake as Romney! Is that a prerequisite?? Fake and liar?? This video is even MORE funny now!
Gov Romney targeted by wealth-creator-hating agitators in Weatherly, Pennsylvania today: twitpic.com/9x40sd— Snark Knoller (@SnarkKnoller) June 16, 2012
I love the gentleman with the beard. I’ll bet he would be a lot more fun than the people in Willard’s audiences.
.@Starbucks Barista re: @BarackObama announcement yesterday: "it's like he's opening the door to a new America" #Latinos2012— Gabriela Domenzain (@GabiDomenzain) June 16, 2012
LOL! Robney jus slipped in Pennsylvania speech, calling the President- Governor Obama.
Truly, he’s repulsive:
At an early morning stop on Saturday here in Weatherly — a town in a county in which President Obama barely eked out a victory four years ago — Mitt Romney had some backhanded advice for the president.
After starting to comment about how Mr. Obama did not understand entrepreneurship in the free economy, Mr. Romney stumbled briefly, confusing Mr. Obama’s political résumé: “He upon becoming governor — excuse me, president last time — governor might have been a better job for him to have started with,” Mr. Romney said, to applause.
Then Mr. Romney ran with the conceit, adding that Mr. Obama might have been better served by spending time as a governor, as Mr. Romney did in Massachusetts.
“I say that because I actually think you learn from experience,” Mr. Romney said. “I think it helps to have been in business before you actually start to run something in government. And then after you’ve done something in government, it helps to start perhaps a little lower level before you become president.”
hes an arrogant little pos. Cannot wait to see his mug when POTUS debates his sorry ignorant behind.
I don’t believe it was a mistake, I think he did it on purpose, expect to see “Gov Obama” in his stump speeches. Another way for the pig to show his disrespect for the President.
absolutely agree that it most likely was planned and not a gaffe. He’s very full of himself.. and the best way to get applause w/ his type of crowds is to say denigrating things about President Obama.. he’s like a school yard bully.
The folks behind him seem unimpressed.
I think that anyone going to a ‘rally’ for Romney is either very bored in their life… plain curious about him.. or believe as he does that he’s ‘the one’ simply because he’ll bring along a white skin. Also theres the fact that most folks don’t hear/read all the bs he’s been saying.. so it may well be the first time they’ve heard him, and do so because they are just used to voting Republican. Personally I think we’re going to kick his ass in a major landslide
Sherijr, these people get hounded by calls from their local Republican committee to show up. If they don’t commit to attending, they will get ten more calls until they say yes to just get rid of the pressure. I can’t imagine anyone coming to a Romney event with joy in their heart and a sense of great anticipation. It’s a duty and they get harassed until they perform it.
oh my goodness jackie, I had no idea they did that, thanks for the info. How awful to be a republican.
yikes! no wonder they look exhausted.
I concur Debz and sherijr. This liar is so full of crap that his mind can’t get off of jealous and prickly thoughts about PBO. Mitt’s gauge level of how to be hopeful, compassionate, caring, is at its lowest for a man who wants to be president. He has never deposited these attributes into his soul. So his soul speaks empty and distructive words that lands on the dark and ugly sides of humans who are empty vessels of humane decency for the job of President of the United States and compassion for people all over this world.
You see, Mitt Romney has no core. He can’t draw from a decent thought to carry on a decent and professional campaign. He wants power so badly that he will stoop to any level to reach that power. He is of the mindset of, “It is my time, and I deserve this. So just listen how he thinks a president should go through “his” ranks to get to that office. But he shows so much eagerness to want to just be president. This man is so hungry for this power that he would do, I feel anything to get there. Well, just follow his actions on the campaign as of this date. Actions in this case are speaking very loud and ugly from this man.
I think that he planned this because Mitt is nothing but an empty man and a sad man. We are not a nation especially during this time who needs to be feed everyday ugly, hateful, thoughts to tear us down further. We have been through a lot , and we need to be able to look at our leader and wake up knowing in our hearts that he will carry us all with him in his core, and then turn around and do the very best for all of us. He does not look down on us. He lifts us up with hope, compassion, thoughtfulness, graciousness, and a spirit that speaks to our ‘better angels’ within. That is what we want and need. And we have it in President Barack Obama, so let us continue to hope, work hard, and pray and meditate much, and move FORWARD.. HZ
You are absolutely spot on HZ.. these two men are starkly different.. I’ve never yet seen Romney show one iota of empathy. President Obama is the warmth of the sun. I can’t even describe what Romney is- you did a fine job of that already.
should be fed and not feed. HZ
They should compare the 2, one with 3.5 years of being governor and 3.5 years of PBO actually being president, and see who comes out on top. I dare Romney to do this, because ending his governorship being 47/50 in the state re: job creation (I think, correct me if I’m wrong), among other things, I think PBO has done the better job, just by looking at the numbers. Romney won’t do it of course, I even expect Romney to try to wiggle out of doing the debates. I keep wondering how much longer will the media give him a pass?
sherij, I don’t want to sound like a concern troll but I don’t think we should assume that the debates are going to be a cakewalk. PBO is, of course, a genius but Romney sounds like a real swotter. That story about how he complained whilst at prep school because he hadn’t been put into the advanced class and then applied pressure until they agreed is very revealling. This guy has serious daddy issues – he will hire the best coaching that money can buy and study his heart out to be ready. He’s no John McCain – and he’s not stupid – a sociopath maybe but no idiot. he knows how good PBO is and his ego and sense of entitlement won’t allow him to take it lightly. He’s scared and he’s gonna work for it. In the meantime PBO has a country to run – he will be bone tired – so that’s a worry. I think it would be better not to take it as a given that Willard will be publicly humiliated – it gives the press something to lie about if Romney performs just passably. I think we should make it a point to advance the thoery that Romney is preparing feverishly so that the bar isn’t lowered too far down for him by the press.
I’m not worried!
No amount of bought and paid for coaching, lying or programmed sound bites from Romney can beat the TRUTH and the FACTS from our President. Romney already does not have the trust of the American people, and speaking in a bunch of coached talking points and sound bites will only make him seem even less trustworthy. Romney will not “perform passably” because his words will be all based on LIES, and that is a FAIL regardless of how it might be delivered.
PBO will be tired yes. But he will have the truth and the facts on his side, and NOTHING will beat that.
I see your point and you may be right… however I suspect that he won’t study, that he is too arrogant to believe that he isn’t the smartest candidate… and he will have the media spinning a win for him more than anything else.
The difference between Romney and PBO, is PBO’s knowledge and command of facts are natural. While Romney may study his heart out, PBO start studying and reading his heart out years and years ago. He has a lot of built in knowledge. Also Romney gets frustrated easily when the truth is being told. PBO has a way of cutting you down in one sentence and leave one scrambling for words to respond.
Okay, here’s the real difference. Romney has anti-charisma. When he speaks his eyes look funny and he doesn’t seem sincere. No matter how much he tries and poses in front of a mirror, he can’t convey warmth. It is just not in him. Contrast with PBO. He’s magnetic, has so much charisma, your eyes stay riveted on him. He speaks with heart and depth of feeling and he is the smartest person in ANY room. Plus he has a natural gift for humor, which allows him to win people to him . For anyone under the age of 70, Romney seems like someone out of tune with the times–a holdover from another era. PBO is cool, he goes with the flow, he gets it and can speak to young, old, rich, poor and anyone in between.
If anyone is old enough to recall the Kennedy/Nixon debates you remember the visceral feel of the two candidates, independent of anything they said. Nixon was no dummy, he made good points, he was a sharp debater. But he had no warmth. Looking at him, listening to him left you cold. Kennedy just had to stand there exuding warmth and charisma and all you could say was, yeah, baby.” Kennedy had “it” and so does Barack Obama and all the money and training in the world can give it to you.
Thank you jackiegrumbacher. PBO is also Not smart, gifted, and talented. Please do not forget, he is the POTUS, and he did not get there by paying smart people to drill him and drill in how to debate. President Barack Obama is brilliant. I do not hesitate to speak those words. Plus, when President Barack Obama walks into a room, he knows more than the people who are there to brief him. Please remember that. I am Not worried about his being able to carry or win a debate with Willard Mitt Romney, and I refuse to allow those thoughts to enter into my space, because they are not worthy of that space.
If President Barack Obama has not proven to the American people how capable he is, just start watching and listening to him from this moment on. I have lived as Jackiegrumbacher and many more on this beautiful site, and I have watched many debates of many presidents. It takes more than the born brains, it takes how you use those brains. How you connect with the American people. How you give grace to your words. And how much the American voters are convinced of your performance in that it will move you to a better place for fairness, honesty, and respect in how you will run that Oval Office.
I am going with the gentleman that is already sitting in that chair in the Oval Office. And he will be sitting there again for another term , if we will focus on our jobs to help get him there, otherwise, a debate is worthless if we do not come into the room with the faith that has already be given to us from the last 4 years. HZ
I hope Romney gets crushed. PBO is a natural – totally alpha – which is why I think some men have more problems with him (especially dumb, ugly or competitive ones like Hannity, Rush or McCain). But Romney really is a type and he will do anything to win. I remember the great thing that PBO said in the documentary on Pete Souza about the health care bill passing being better/more satisfying than when he won the presidency because (paraphrasing) ‘ you run not to win something but you win to be able to do something’ Romney clearly just wants to win – badly. People like that are dangerous.
agree with you… I consider Romney to be very dangerous.. that he can even be this close to the Presidency is astounding. But like COS wrote too.. :POTUS knows this stuff, lives/works this stuff daily… whereas Romney is going to try and ‘act’ his way into the Presidency. Hopefully our country will see the vast difference between them… and make the right choice.
Duny is right in so many ways here. There’s one more. During the primary, he learned (from Gengrich’n them) how to bully the mediator and dodge the question itself. I hope right there and then Obama makes a thing about the dodge itself, as in “since my opponent once again refuses to anwser the question, I will…
You’re comparing apples and oranges. Romney will not be able to get way with “dodge and bully” tactics during the Presidential debates. There will be enough Obama supporters (both domestic and international) watching those debates to keep those biased mediators in check and expose them if they allow themselves to be “bullied” by Romney. This is not the GOP primary, and his opponent is not Perry or Santorum.
Remember he hired a debate coach, and when the coach got positive press coverage, Romney fired him? He is just too arrogant to think he needs a coach, especially when that person is given credit for improving Mitt’s debate skills.
Ha! I’d forgotten about that. Yes, you’re right. i suspect Romney’s the type to hire another one and keep it secret – he’s a bit of a loser despite having made more money than God. He was a cheerleader because he couldn’t get on the football team – whined and pestered when he didn’t get put into the elite placement at Cranbrook and called his dad for help with homework whilst at Harvard. I agree he gets rattled easily – so we will have to wait and see. Does anyone know if they are going to have a debate purely on foreign policy again? That will be a fun one to watch.
I think in all of the past Presidential debates, one is on foreign policy, one on domestic policy and one is a “town hall” type debate.
Study? Study what? he tells nothing but lies and repeats talking points.
Oh and he had a great debate coach – the one who trained Michelle Bachmann – then fired him because he didn’t want the coach to get credit for any improvement in his debate skills. The only thing I’m worried about in the debates is the moderator. The MSM has become more unprofessional in the past few years and I suspect Pres.Obama will pushing back on lies from both Mitt and the moderator.
There is nothing we can do to raise the bar for Romney. It is already low and will stay there just like it did for Palin.
I think a weak moderator is a given. PBO will have the deck stacked against him. I think he will spend time studying how to effectively weasel out of difficult questions and dissemble. PBO is going to have to work out a way to debate someone who lies blatantly. I remember how genuinely shocked Gingrich of all people seemed to be when Romney just stood there on stage and lied his head off. Maybe we need to demand em masse in advance that the moderators at least be well informed enough – or have fact checkers to call out Romney’s lies – that’s going to be the challenge.
the fact-checker in the debates will be pbo. he knows his stuff better than anybody, and he articulates it with clarity and authority. robme will just string together his talking-points, like a deflection shield. so once again, it will be up to the american people to decide if they want the substantive candidate, or the trumped-up sham.
Thank you susanne. Remember, PBO will be fine in a debate with anyone. We will Not allow our minds and hearts to go to a place of ‘fretting over debate readiness.” President Barack Obama will do just fine. Now we can move on to more focused activities of getting out there and working hard to keep his back and get out the vote.
We all worked very hard this past week, and I know some are out there this very moment working again today. Each day we come here, we must constantly keep our minds on what really is at the front of this election. Do we want to go back, or do we want to move FORWARD with President Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden on Nov. 6, 2012? I think those who are really for PBO know the answer. So fret not thyself over “The Debates.”
He’s Got That. So Chill Out! HZ
We all know what’s the answer to that sort of nonsentse, because it featured a bumper sticker in ’08:
“Jesus Christ was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate a governor”.
PRINCETON, NJ – President Barack Obama’s decision not to deport young people who came to the U.S. illegally as children comes at a time when Americans’ views toward immigration are much more positive than they have been in recent years. Currently, 66% say immigration is a “good thing” for the U.S. today, up from 59% last year and one percentage point off the high of 67% in 2006.

Billionaire Sheldon Adelson pledges $35 million more to GOP nonprofits: tpm.ly/M2qckA— Talking Points Memo (@TPM) June 16, 2012
And what does he get in return? Romney needs to be asked about this over and over again.
That;’s right…This guy isn’t giving that money for nothing…he wants favors for his money….THAT’S why CU was so toxic to our democracy. F those idiots on the SC. Traitors.
What are “GOP non-profits”??? Seems like an oxymoron to me.
Oh, my, I was just thinking the same thing!
Bob Schieffer is on trial tomorrow based on the questions he asks Willard.
I would advise not to get your hopes up on the media’s standards.
I’ve sent a few questions to Face the Nation, I know they will just ignore them. And I don’t expect Schieffer to ask Mitt anything of substance, they probably already told Mitt what they will ask.
Good anniebella – let’s keep pushing
Yes – a question everybody should be asking – tweet the press/stations ‘what does Romney have to give Addelsson in exchange for his 35 million’? Sorry I’d tweet if I could – but not very advanced technologically I’m afraid.
I just asked TPM if they are asking that very question. I will tweet Face the Nation the same thing.
Well, that certainly makes me avoid the “Venetian” in Las Vegas, when I’m there for the regular meeting of the Fortran Standardization Committee:
Norbrook nails this
AWESOME video! A Mitt Romney presidency is far scarier to me than even a Palin presidency — because she’s too STUPID to actually get any of her insanity past congress. But Mitt? Hoo boy we will be in a WORLD of hurt if this country doesn’t get the message as to what he’s all about and WHO he’s “for.”
I just published an Infographic about why Mitt Romney’s buddies in the Private Sector are, as President Obama rightly pointed out, “doing fine,” but middle America doesn’t feel it. I hope you’ll take a gander and maybe share it around.
We HAVE to make people understand just how DANGEROUS to this country the Republican Party is!!
Thank you so much!
Great job with that, Jill!
That is totally awesome!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Jill – that is absolutely fantastic. How can we get it out to a wider audience? It explains everything so simply and clearly. Any ideas people?
That is exactly what I thought–simple, easily understood.
Jill, have you sent it to the campaign, dnc , ofa etc?
Awesome! Tweeted it.
You did a fantastic job, Jill! I hope you share this with OFA and DNC. People have focused on Congressional Republicans undermining the economy in order to defeat President Obama. I am convinced that big businesses are in cahoots with Republicans. As your so ably Illustrated, the so called “job creators” are sitting on almost two trillion dollars that they could be investing in creating jobs.
Jill, I went over to read it, and I must say this is awesome. Please relate this to OFA and DNC. Thanks so much for sharing. I sent it to friends as well.HZ
Jill you and your site are my favorites. I link to you all the time. I tweeted DWS just this afternoon to hire you already!
Adelson just said, his pledge to crossroads and others is 35 million.
I thought it would be worse, and for somebody who says he does not like getting hit by the press, he sure likes bragging!
35 million for now. He promised Willard that his donation would be “limitless.”
Jovie, Adelson has the money to waste, then let him waste it.
Me if I had money like that I would use it to put Americans back to work, maybe by paying alittle more to help with a jobs bill.
But the Republicans didn’t want to ask Adelson to pay alittle more, because they wanted it for themselves. But what happen to the love of country?

Thanks for the heads-up. Think I’ll be busy scrubbing my bathroom at that hour.

Think I will call my dentist and set up an appointment for tomorrow at that time.

Hey everyone, my new piece is up on TPV: http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2012/06/dreams-no-longer-deferred.html
Heartfelt thanks LL. It is a wonderful piece.
Gorgeous, LL – no turning back.
Beautiful LL! Thank you for reminding us that America’s melting pot is delicious! President Obama has done a righteous thing, and history will be very kind to him.
AWsomeeee…and emotional…LL…i feel you…i really feel you ….LL..
.our President is such a wonder…i cannot find the words to describe him…nothing that i can think of seems adequate….
Very nice LL. It was so touching to see the pictures Chips posted here yesterday of the young people reacting to the news. PBO is a truly good hearted man. A very nice article.
Beautiful, LL. Thanks for the personal and very moving story. My heart has been touched again this day. I totally realize that I am in the company of beautiful spirits here. Thank you again, LL. HZ
What is he gonna do run a 24 hour infomercial of hate on Obama? A millionare here in MI just wasted millions of dollars on wall to wall ads against the new bridge the Governor wants to build, even the GOP governor knows tax cuts for corporations won’t create jobs.

LMAO at the chicken shit. Guess his peeps didn’t think through the ‘follow O’bama around’ plan well enough. Which is the beauty of the ‘under the bus’ bus. While I think the plan to dog PBO at his speeches is ridiculously childish, didn’t they once stop to consider that 2 can play that game?
When they planned to have their people at PBO’s speeches did they not think anyone would show up at theirs? The level of stupidity that this country’s citizenry will follow (ie Robme) and vote for is embarrassing
You’ve made me laugh so much LunarSea!
What a cowardly chicken shithead.
And just a little tidbit on how effed up all our ‘news’ has become. This morning Yahoo had a headline on their news blurb (seen when I went to my email) “Dumbest Political Quotes of the Week” listed by guess who? THE DAILY CALLER. I didn’t click it and I won’t read it. And their newest headline: Romney: Obama should have been gov before President” I guess we know exactly WHO Yahoo is working for. Although I never doubted it.
Yahoo. It’s a nasty cesspool of a place. Both the headlines and the comments are disgusting. Cringeworthy.
So Mitt Romney, who send his campaign stuff to horn around Obama events, is too coward to face real people's protest. #leadership— BWD (@theonlyadult) June 16, 2012
LOL I just posted a similar sentiment -great minds think alike
Willard Mitterrand Romney is not in the so called BUS from stop to stop. He is being flown in, in the chartered private “Air Craft” while doing a “Sarah Palin”? Once again, deceitfulness is what elucidates the bishop and our national press is there as always cuddling his wicked lies.
Kudos for the “Willard Mitterrand” LOL! He LIES AGAIN??? DECEIVES??? Shocked!!
Shocking! Actually, I forgot how much fun it was to watch Willard campaign – he’s absolutely hopeless. Now everyone can show that photo of him having his shoes cleaned in front of the plane again whilst the rest of his campaign shlubs ride the bus as the story is reported.
this must be why he wrote the not-hilarious note about ‘nice ride’. what an asshole.
Then why do a bus tour? Is his internal polling showing that being flown to a bus is some kind of ratings boost?
It’s an attention getting gimmick. Just like everything Dullard Wullard does.
I don’t get it.
In more baffling RW BS..
POLL: NEVADA REPUBLICANS FAVOR BROTHELS OVER MARRIAGE EQUALITY 3-1 | A new Public Policy Polling poll finds that brothels enjoy popular support across all political parties in Nevada, including 66 percent of both Democrats and Republicans. A March poll found that only 20 percent of Nevada Republicans support same-sex marriage, a juxtaposition that PPP described as “an interesting take on family values.” Nevada’s brothels have no legal restrictions on sexual orientation, so according to the state’s Republicans, it’s okay if gays and lesbians pay for sex, just so long as they don’t settle down and start families.

No one should lose sight of the fact that Republicans would close this bureau in half a heartbeat if they got the chance! They don’t want people to even KNOW they’re getting screwed !!!! Nor do they want consumers to be able to MAKE wise financial decisions…..Seniors need to know this and understand this!!!
Thanks for posted this Desertflower. I listened to Hubert Humphrey lll on C-SPAN give great information on what this department within the CFPB is doing. Very impressive work that is being done to get out more and more regulations on so many issues regarding senior citizens. Great job under Director Cordray. That was a brilliant move by PBO. HZ
Sam Donaldson’s response to Carlson for trying to say what Munro did is the same.
Never once did I interrupt a president in any way while he was making a formal statement, a speech, honoring awardees or in any other way holding the floor. Yes, almost always when he was finished in the Rose Garden or in the Briefing Room or at a photo opportunity with other world leaders I tried to question him (only rarely was it a shout on the rope line, more often a more normal tone of voice) and other reporters of course did the same thing along with me.
What this man did yesterday is something new, to me wrong and unusual. I think it is probably the result of the growing incivility of the times, the competition among reporters and news organizations to be noticed not only for the work product but for the theatrics of the gathering…and there is one more factor, let’s face it: Many on the political right believe this president ought not to be there – they oppose him not for his polices and political view but for who he is, an African American! These people and perhaps even certain news organizations (certainly the right wing talkers like Limbaugh) encourage disrespect for this president. That is both regrettable and adds, in this case, to the general dislike of the press on the part of the general public.
For Tucker Carlson to say that he would if he can give this man a raise for this rude attempt to interrupt the president is reflective of what I’ve said above and, to me, lowers my opinion of Tucker.
Yep! He Got it right!
Also, Chris Wallace said Munro should not be allowed back in the WH, and Susan Page said he should.
Susan Page always seems to take the opposite side.
I despise Susan Page. Always change the channel when she shows up.
I agree…..especially when she is on Hardball with Fineman and Tweety tells them both how wonderful they are.
Yes, When she and Fineman are together on Tweety’s show it is sickening.
I’m very pleased with Sam’s comments.. I used to watch him, and frankly liked him too. He got this right for sure.. although I think he could have been meaner
Yes, Yes, Yes, Every bit of it. MSM exposed.
Wow. I remember how rude Donaldson could be but looking back I’m glad he was tough. And one thing he and his peers understand in its most basic form is you NEVER EVER shout an alleged question at the President when he’s making a formal statement.
Do you have a link for that, Linda?
No…sadly it is his e-mail to the site we do not mention or link to here.
I found it elsewhere but the link took me to HP.
Ha, it’s regularly linked here Linda! We just want to be spared their hit pieces on PBO, that’s all!
ok…but there really isn’t anything additional worthwhile in the story over there anyway…..
Okay, thanks Linda.
I never thought very much of Tucker Carlson. It is disgusting the disrespect these right right bigots have show toward President Obama. If I were to say that I am mad, yes I am. And don’t think that everyone in the black community doesn’t know what it is all about. I talk to people everyday and when we talk about President Obama, the first thing they say is I know the reason behind this disrespect, the man is black, they want that black man out of that White House.
Did anyone notice the guy next to the baffoon who yelled at PBO, interrupting his announcement, put his microphone in front of that baffoon so he could interrupt the president? Who was that guy and who did HE work for?
Update on Europe-
I am posting this here. A dear friend published a letter in her local paper. Chips feel free to edit for length.
My letter made my local paper today!
THE REAL REALITY SHOW!
What if your house was burning down and when you called the fire department you got a recording saying …. “Sorry, the United States no longer has fire fighters”?
What if your house was being robbed and when you called the police you got a recording saying ….. “Sorry, the United States no longer has law enforcement”?
What if you saw someone dying on the street and you called for help and you got a recording saying ….. “Sorry, the United States no longer has emergency response teams”?
What if you had a child with the potential to be the best singer, dancer or artist and when you looked into ways to promote that child’s dream, because you could not afford to do it on your own as parents, you were told ….. “Sorry there is not money in the education budget and those programs have been cut”?
What if while waiting for college acceptance letters your child opened one that said …. “Sorry to inform you that due to all the wars we are in the US had to re-instate the draft and you must report to the recruiting office”.
What if you went to enroll your child in school you were told ….. “Sorry the US has done away with the public education system”.
What if, due to hard financial times, you were unable to feed your children and your food stamp application was returned with this message …. “Sorry the US has done away with that program”.
What if you turned 65 and instead of getting your Medicare Card and Social Security check you were told …… “Sorry those programs no longer exist in the US”.
As harsh and crazy all all this sounds my fear is that the GOP has become so extreme and unrecognizable this is what would happen under a Republican President.
So for me it is pretty clear ……. The Re-Election of President Obama and Vice President Biden is the only choice!

PBO’s latest BFD regarding immigration clearly illustrates his political courage. President Obama is running for re-election as a true DEMOCRAT (instead of running as a republican-lite candidate as all democratic presidential candidates have run during my lifetime). No democrat, liberal, progressive or whatever is his/her preferred moniker may be, has any reason or excuse to not fully and vocally support our President. No candidate, politician or man is perfect, but PBO is saving the Democratic/Liberal ideal in this country. PBO is using the radicalism of the GOP as an opportunity to contrast the two visions of this country’s future the two parties represent. The choice could not be clearer. Those with the audacity to claim there is no difference between the parties are living in a fantasy world.
great comment! i agree completely!!

It is amazing how Romney is copyingeverything from PBO but criticize him for not having enough experience. He has no ideas of his own. This is probably the first time he has set foot in a supermarket. He look so out of place.
yeah – he’s probably trying to memorise the name of every available pastry/sweet so that he can identify the item next time something’s put in front of him
the text says its ‘wawa gas station, quakerville’. that’s got to be a new experience for robme–gas stations have food! look! people buy things to eat here! but why all this salad-bar stuff? totally confused expression on his face.

If you don’t have tears at the end of this…and have pride well up in your heart…… LL, I think you know this feeling she speaks of….I loved your very personal and heartfelt piece on TPV. Nice job. Again
Yep, tears are flowing……this is so wonderful. There are thousands of young people who have graduated and are graduating that will be helped by PBO’s annoucement yesterday. I hope these young people help get out the vote, talk to their naturalized and native born citizens to VOTE Democratic this election.
And you never will…..IOKIYAR
President Obama did not issue an executive order for the new immigration policies. I don’t understand why the media keep saying this and people are perpetuating the misinformation. Janet Napolitano issue a memorandum outlining the changes in their deportation policies. That is what was done. No executive order was issued. None. Here’s the memo: http://t.co/jLcpBWR5
Exactly! Thanks Hachiko for setting the record straight.
Mitt Romney’s flubs in New Hampshire yesterday. Very funny.
I love this part…
First their was, as the Times so aptly put it, “the hostile plane — ‘Romney’s Every Millionaire Counts Tour,’ its red banner screamed”, which “seemed to be chasing the friendly one with a more mundane message: ‘Romney for President 2012.’ Round and round they went.” Imagine Mitt’s annoyance at the dueling airplanes and all their background noise cutting into his carefully contrived stumping.
I hope someone got that on video……too funny.
Funny:) My personal favorite:
Finally, there was one more departure from what he was hoping would be a well-scripted campaign swing: The flub by New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a potential running mate, as she borrowed the president’s “driving the country into a ditch” metaphor:
“It’s time to make sure we are on the wrong road,” she told the crowd.
LOL. That was a good one! Call it a freudian slip, they sure know they’re on the wrong road.

“Expendable”. I found this so powerful in PBO’s speech yesterday. I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one.
I think using this word as often as we can to throw back in Repub’s faces is good messaging. I like “expendable class”.
Absolutely! That just took my breath away! He’s right…people against them are saying they aren’t important enough. They are expendable. And they pretend to care about people and country. What a crock of crap.
I also tweeted PBO’s phrase to Jonathan Alter. I did about 5 tweets yesterday alone to Alter with things that PBO said and asked, “Is that a enough of a soundbite for you?”
We have to find powerful words to use back at them. The Dem’s still haven’t found a consistent way to reclaim ‘freedom’. Although ‘freedom from the burden expensive health care’ for an entrepreneur. ‘Freedom’ from the burden of a pre-existing conditions. These work for me.
The RW is great at finding ways to use words that resonate while we’re busy explaining shit. We need to play this game better.
McConnell has an op-ed at Politico that uses words — lies, actually — in ways that can make black, white. They are effing geniuses at this stuff.
And let’s be clear: when PBO used the word ‘expendable, in answering that rude Republican jackass yesterday — it was immensely powerful. It was visceral. If Chris Hayes and MHP would stop contemplating their navels in an effort to be Fair to the Universe, they would have repeated the idea of the ‘expendable class’ and ‘the choice” ad nauseum today. THAT’s how change happens.
PBO says it, and we have to repeat it. We re-phrase, understanding how the words work emotionally. We’ve got the effing facts on our side.
If there aren’t specific soundbites, we can make them ourselves using words that go deep into people’s hearts. That’s why this tweet hit me. PBO had struck a chord. Now we have to sing that chord to the universe.
Excellent points 57. I love the idea of “singing the chord to the universe.” Amen.
This …a million times over.

“just to get a good sandwich.”
“My surrogate is former Gov. Rendell, who said we could win Pennsylvania,” Romney said. “I’m happy to hear that, so we’re happy to be here and see some folks here.”

Good Afternoon TOD
I am EXHAUSTED!!!
I just got home from canvassing Lorton, VA. We had so many Maryland volunteers come out to Virginia until they were spilling out the door of the Lorton Co. OFA office. I signed up to do voter registration but found out they needed us to do door-to-door canvassing. Now this is not one of my favorite things to do for the campaign but I kept telling myself this isn’t about me its about ensuring the President is re-elected. He needs this canvassing so our team of 4 headed out and hit a townhouse development and canvassed 65 homes. My canvassing partner was very shy so insisted I do all the talking (just what I needed).
Only one contact was not supporting the President. Most people were very friendly and appreciative that we were out there getting support for PBO. We logged many “Strong Obama supporters” and 1 undecided who was very receptive to my little speech and the literature I left her.
All in All a very productive day. If you have fears about volunteering please remember the personal sacrifice our First Family makes everyday in service to our Nation. Yes you will encounter some people who don’t want to hear anything about the President but most of the people that the campaign is sending us to are either supporters or lean supporters. It also gives you a wonderful sense of accomplishment and you get to meet some wonderful Obots
W00T!! Thank you for supporting our President, Donna! You did good!
Legend —-> Donna Dem
Fierce AND legendary! = Donna Dem!
good job – you’re doing the work that matters – stuff that isn’t easy or necessarily always pleasant. I admire you.
Brava, dear! Thanks for everything you do.
RIGHTTTTTTTTT ONNNNNNN!!!…RIGHT ONNNNNNNNN!!
Thanks for your work today, Donna!
Thanks everyone but really the truth is that I do this out of fear. I use fear as a motivator for me. I just don’t want to wakeup on Nov 7th and not have done all I could to make sure PBO remains our President.
Good read! http://www.cagle.com/2012/06/the-conservative-closet/
Ultra-conservatives really love the closet. And no, I’m not just talking in a Larry Craig-kinda way. Sure, some of them use it to protect themselves, but many more use it to protect their agenda.
You see, the closet can hide all sorts of truths among its shadows. Americans and any facts about America that don’t fit the right-wing narrative can be shoved into this enclosed recess–either bullied into silence or simply ignored–and conservatism can continue to prosper. Quite frankly, conservatives need a big enough closet to house a combined Imelda Marcos/Kerry Bradshaw shoe collection if they’re to continue prospering after the economic, foreign policy, and social destruction they’ve wreaked upon this nation.
Right-wingers can then tell you that gays and lesbians are some strange breed of misanthrope intent on intergalactic sexual dominion, and if you’ve never met anyone who is gay before, you just might believe it. Enough of us might even be convinced by television advertisements that most Americans want to cut Social Security, think closing the gun-show loophole is unimportant or believe the Citizens United decision makes any sense whatsoever. On all of these, the “progressive” or non-Ted-Nugent position polls at or north of 70 percent in “swing states” and nationally, making people possessing these ideas the silent majority Richard Nixon once considered worthy of song.
As a result, the protectors of the status quo will fight like hell to keep you and your ideas safely behind their folded khakis or under the Etch-A-Sketch. This is what makes Sandra Fluke, Ellen DeGeneres and interviews with those who’ve lost their jobs due to Mitt Romney’s machinations dangerous. If we see people we can identify with going through a crisis, or making a sensible decision, then it might not seem unreasonable to us. This is also the reason most of us react to Mitt Romney in much the same way we do to a malfunctioning fax machine.
And another:) http://www.cagle.com/2012/06/conservative-courage-and-other-myths/ Thank you, Chips for humoring me today!
Scholars Thomas Mann, of the centrist Brookings Institution, and Norman Ornstein, of the conservative American Enterprise Institute, recently came out and said the dysfunction, polarization, and toxicity of our Congress the no longer the fault of both major political parties. These days this is the singular accomplishment of the Grand Old Party, who sees compromise as weakness, thinks science is for suckers and has turned legislating in Washington into one long Gingrich marriage, without the open part, of course.
In fact, it is the singular lack of courage of any major Republican elected officials in calling out their own party that has helped get us into our current age of The Real Housewives of Congress.
It hasn’t always been like this. Back in the 1950s, in a serious act of bravery at the time, Senator Margaret Chase Smith authored a Declaration of Conscience with six other Republican Senators, chastising Senator Joseph McCarthy for his paranoid delusions about those sneaky Communists hiding inside his empty bottles of Bushmills. In later years, many Republicans rebuked the extremist (and Koch-daddy founded) John Birch Society, and then-Senator Barry Goldwater himself expressed his desire to kick the Reverend Jerry Falwell in a rather rotund part of his exterior when the good preacher attacked Ronald Reagan’s choice of Sandra Day O’Connor as Supreme Court Justice.
One more tidbit from this piece…and the driver of why we are all suffering through the TP now….cowards.
This served an important function. An actual Republican Establishment helped reign in the radicals and ensure their conservatism was not so influenced by the far-right to embrace the outright nihilism of today’s version of the party. These elected officials told their fellow public servants–as well as commentators–what was acceptable, making it clear that country came before party, our commonality as a people before their campaign contributions.
Well good afternoon TODsters!!! What a great getting up day, heh? I’ve just caught up on the threads, except for this one. I thought I’d better do a howdy do now, or it’d be midnight before I could sneak in a hi y’all. I plan to sit out on my deck until Marine One heads back to the city. I don’t want to miss them. I promise to act civilly this time, that is if I’ve not melted in the 90+ weather we’re having.
My political take today is, keep it positive cause cain’t nobody bring us no bad news!! We got this!!!

Don’t like to post Dkos stuff but there is a post up suggesting the Supreme Court will strike down the healthcare law.
Not good at all if so.
A politico article????-
I listened to that speech on Cspan radio while driving home yesterday and I honestly think that folks are taking that comment out of content. Yes she said that there will be more contoversial decisions decided over the next couple of weeks and these will be close decisions. That could mean close in our favor or close not in our favor. SHE DID NOT SHOW HER HAND. Nyceve is just stirring the pot over there at dkos (as usual).
Glad to get the perspective of someone who heard the speech in context.
Hey criquet, as donna said, NYCeve is a “public option” emoprog of Old Orange who has NEVER been in favor of the HCR, so her post is nothing more than wishful thinking. All her posts about HCR have been negative, so I take everything she says on this issue with the appropriate amount of salt. I would encourage everyone here to do the same and not cite this individual’s posts on that topic as a basis for predictions about the Court’s decisions.
Actually, Justice Ginsburg said this about the court’s decision:
“those who know don’t talk, and those who talk don’t know,”
I believe she was referring to the Jeffrey Toobins and NYCeve’s out there when she said “those who talk don’t know.”
I’m linking to the actual site of the organization (American Constitution Society) where Ginsburg gave the address during which she made the comment. Politico and these other garbage sites are simply putting their (false) spin as usual.
THIS!!! Thanks, Hope!!
I read it. Justice Ginsburg was obtuse and her statement could be taken many ways.
Most important she said this: “Those who know don’t talk. And those who talk don’t know.”
The comments were almost all positive, which shocked me. ACA was one of the reasons I fled that place to begin with.
Thanks hopefruit2 and 57andfemale for the info. In any event, fingers crossed for a positive verdict even if 5-4.
Virginia high school h.s. teen gets last minute reprieve on deportation.
I saw a young lady on my local news here who just graduated from UCLA, and now she can look for a job and go to law school. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see how this good deed is affecting so many young people.
Must be the same woman that I posted the story above or on the last thread….I said that if you watched this, you’d be teary. CBS did a story
A couple of observations: 1) I like this bus ad. The reckless driving and constant honking mirrors the bus antics of the actual Romney campaign, while making the point that he’d throw the middle class under the bus. It illustrates how stupid it was for the Romney campaign to use an official campaign symbol for gutter politics. 2) I had huge trepidations when I heard that Ed Rendell was being used as a surrogate for the President. Today I was delighted to learn that for the moment, Rendell has instantly earned his keep. Rendell and other Democratic protestors in Pennsylvania are the reason why Romney had to divert his bus to another venue.
Apparently Romney left his supporters high and dry with no notice:
“Instead of making prepared remarks to the crowd gathered outside the first location – Romney’s advance team had set up a microphone – the Republican’s bus went instead to the second Quakertown Wawa and made a quick tour through the store.
The detour threw Romney off the jobs-and-economy message he had been pushing earlier in the day.”
They had a microphone set up and everything. But Mitt the Bully couldn’t be bothered to show up and take the heat. He ducked his responsibility again. Not very Presidential.
Sunday we get to watch Mitt on Bob Schieffer as he struggles to gain his footing after the President pulled the rug from under him. Overconfident, overreaching Mitt likely agreed to talk to Scheiffer when he was sure he would be able to milk the President’s “gaffe” about the private sector being fine — it is fine by the way, they’re sitting on $2 trillion dollars — for another news cycle. But Mitt can’t beat that horse anymore or revive it for a dressage competition. It’s put up or shut up time: Will Mitt stand with wingers or young immigrants at the mercy of their parent’s choices, like his father.
So ends a great week for the President and so begins a bad several weeks for Multiple Choice Mitt.
2012. The choice of our lifetime: Mitt Romney, It Takes a Pillage or President Barack Obama, Forward Together.

WASHINGTON – The Obama Administration announced today that six new major U.S. companies are joining President Obama’s Better Buildings Challenge, which encourages private sector leaders across the country to commit to reducing the energy use in their facilities by at least 20 percent by 2020. Starbucks Coffee Company, Staples, and The J.R. Simplot Company will upgrade more than 50 million square feet of combined commercial building space, including 15 manufacturing facilities. Financial allies Samas Capital and Greenwood Energy will also make $200 million in financing available for energy efficiency upgrades through this national leadership initiative. Utility partner Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has also committed to offering expanded energy efficiency programs for its commercial customers, who are responsible for 30 million square feet of commercial building space.
