LOVE those panoramic photos. Drag your mouse across it at the link. VERY COOL!!!
That crowd is Mitt Romney’s wet dream.
Ha Ha!!! Do robots have wet dreams?
Hachiko! You are in rare form indeed. Lovin’ it.
Listening to people responding to PBO’s speech on c-span. some idiot repug from NY saying PBO killed jobs and that there are several “bi-partisan jobs bills” sitting in congress but they haven’t passed “because of Obama.” what an ass. there are none so blind as those who will not see.
Still waiting for the MSM to start reporting on GOP/Romney 24/7 LIES.— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) July 06, 2012
exactly what they’ve been programmed to say by our media. mission accomplished for them.
at least he realized the bills ARE sitting in congress…now he just needs to be told who IS congress.
Do you know his name Lisa….?…I’m going to send him this…..http://republicanjobcreation.com/
ChristiMTL, I see great minds think alike!!
lol no kidding
no, it was a caller responding to PBO’s message.
Send ‘em this link. FIERCE work by whoever is handling this website.

Republican NON Job Creation: The GOP… Keeping Millions Unemployed to Get One Man Out of Work! republicanjobcreation.com #GOPFAIL— Tally Briggs (@bardgal) July 06, 2012
The guy that made that comment is an example of the ignorance that can be found in the GOP. Everyone thinks he/she is an expert. These folks don’t use critical thinking, do any analysis of competing jobs bills, or use any logic before they open their mouths. They think that if the republicans are for it, it’s good for the nation. The level of his ignorance is astounding because he seems to think that the president runs both the executive and judicial branches of government. It’s no mystery why more republicans are becoming disenchanted with the GOP.
A conservative federal judge said recently, “I’ve become less conservative since the Republican Party started becoming goofy.”

Great tweet, Tally!
Is that the man who called on the Republican line and claimed he voted for PBO ?
I turned it off.
yeah. that ass. so stupid!
These kinds of idiots lie all the time to make it seem as if they’ve been “turned off” by the president when they never supported him in the first place. If the guy comes from NY State, his vote will be outnumbered by millions of other PBO supporters. He can rant all he wants, he’ll be drowned out by his fellow New Yorkers on election day.
I didn’t believe a word that caller said. He was spewing all the dishonest talking points of the GOP in congress which led me to believe that he NEVER ever supported PBO let alone voted for him in ’08.
One among thousands who are victims of the GOP propaganda and disinformation machine. The GOP is still competitive only because of Fox and Right Wing Radio who are spreading fears and lies 24/7.
And so stupid as those who are brain dead, and don’t know it!

Only someone who inspires greatness in others can get thousands of people to stand out in the scorching heat to hear him speak. That greatness would be our very own President Barack Hussein Obama. I feel blessed everyday to be able to witness this.
scorching heat is right!…..what a beautiful crowd
Sadly, I just read that at least a dozen people had to be hospitalized as they succumbed to the heat while waiting. I wondered about that—–high 90′s there. Hope all recover quickly.
ahhhh how sad
dehyrated. They will probably be fine after an IV of fluids….

rt’ing yez as i go down thread girl!
Yes this is how we change minds and move people to back the winner.
I luv the fact that he’s stating clearly…”I make no apology for ACA…it was and is the right thing to do”…just wish those coward dems in congress will follow his lead.
Some idiot Indie said PBO talked a lot about the middle class, what about the poor? —- seriously?!!
ps- a NC repug is scared of PBO because he’s so “powerful” and “electrifying” “I’m afraid he’ll persuading all of us to vote for him.” –hahahahahhahahahhahahhahahahahahhahahhahahahahahahahahaa!!! He said Willard is a “decent man” but “Obama’s vision” will make the indies “swing to the Democrats.” —-hahahahhahhahahahahha!! PBO striking fear in the hearts of Repugs just with his rhetorical skills!!!
I was watching Cspan as well and I was LMAO at that caller. I love when they slip and tell the truth. They are scared to death and they know this thing is over. It was so great to see POTUS at a big outdoor rally. Just the visual intimidates them. Throw in the man and his message and how he delivers it, and it scares them to death.
The poor that was once the middle class? Uhm, ok.
Right LLO. That’s why they are always trying to minimize PBO’s powerful oratory skills as “JUST WORDS”. President Obama connects with voters. His speeches have substance. He stirs emotion. He inspires. He makes sense. Meanwhile, radical Willard Mitt Romney and his bracketing surrogates Bobby Jindal and Tim Pawlenty could not be any more boring and lackluster.
I don’t believe anything anyone in the MSM says when they say that PBO’s speeches are “too long” or “too boring” because his speeches aren’t created to target them, but they’re too dumb to figure this out. The attendees at his events have never mentioned his speeches as being boring or too long, and the fact that so many people turned out at Carnegie Mellon on such a hot day proves it.
It’s also why they say he isn’t very good at retail politics when he has people eating out of his hand because he shows them so much love. Honestly don’t know how you can live in a world where you just deny everything you see and call it the opposite. They’ll tell you it’s freezing when it’s 95 with 100 percent humidity and they’ll do their darndest to convince themselves it’s true.
I just happen to turn to C-Span and there was Tim Pawlenty criticizing PBO for using his “teleprompter words”. Can’t help but laugh.
It’s all they got. Poor things, you know you’re losing when the recycled teleprompter put down is your best line.
Watching Steve Scully interview attendees at PBO’s event and they’re all GREAT! I love Democrats because they use facts to back their comments. Even the children they interviewed! The children were so inspiring. A lot of them were 9 or 10 years of age and they’re all volunteering for Obama 2012. A lot of them volunteered in 08 and they’re so chuffed to be volunteering for Pres. Obama again. One woman was from MA and she said she lived under a Romney administration and she sure as heck isn’t going back to that again. She moved from MA to PA because of Romney’s disastrous economic policies and destructive budget cuts. It was quite enlightening to watch.
Thanks for sharing this, ut. I’m firmly in the camp that believes that knowing things is very important. I have little patience with republicans who repeat talking points that lack substance.
Wow it must kill her to move to a state that has the idiot Corbett as governor. Talk about disastrous economic policies and destructive budget cuts. People are going to have to carry around guides to states it’s safe to live in–A Guide to States with Sane Economic Policies: A Guide to States where Women can Still Control Their Own Bodies; AGuide to States that Still Care about Education. We’ll all need to develop portable lifestyles to survive. Still Romney would really have had to stink as governor for someone to just pull up stakes and leave. No wonder he destroyed his computer files.
Someone on Wonkette asked if Willard would be knocking on doors and handing out literature when he takes his trip to England, Germany, Poland, and Israel.
But…… the talking heads tell me he doesn’t relate to hard working middle class people!! This photo should send Willard off to cry in Ann’s skirt.
Myth is top busy driving his obscenely ugly boat to care about anything this week….. He might cry later, when he has time to get back to running for office, for pete’s sake…..

Thanks for your tweets UT, this wins folks over to our side of the ledger.
I love our POTUS!
Did you get your power back yet?
President Obama is a phenom. People like him come once or maybe twice in a lifetime. God has His Hand on him. This man will go down in history as one of the most memorable, honorable and greatest men in history. His wife and children ain’t half bad either. I am sooooo looking forward to voting for the winner on November 6, 2012. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012!!!! 4 more years! This is his final campaign. How history making and epic.
This x ∞ !
A million times YES, vitaminlover.
True! Me too. I will always be glad I went to the 2008 Inauguration. I would not be able to stand that long now so it was good I went to the best one ever. I will watch every second on tv if our man is back this time.
Disregard if this has been posted already.
What Ann Romney can learn from Michelle Obama
interesting read. especially one of the comments, which said the wealthy exist in a world of their own, an island where others are not welcome, and where they don’t notice or care what anyone thinks of them. that’s probably why the r-money optics are so wrong–they could care less what we think.
Why I do believe Nia-Malika Henderson wrote that mrs willard is a harpie. Yep..that’s what I got.
The CSPAN Crowd interviews right after the speech, were fantastic!
hahahhahahhahahha!!! Willard is making plans to go overseas to bone up on foreign policy. he’s gonna go to Germany and various other places. Okay……. going to Poland, Germany and Israel and meeting up with the heads of states for 20 minutes makes him an even match for PBO— Leader of the Free World for 3.5 Years? Killer of Bin Laden and Decimator of Al Qaeda? Yeah……we scared Willard. We sooooooooooooooo scared. Ratfucker.
Ratfucker. HAAAAAAAAAAA! How do you really feel Lisa?? Love that so much!
Wonkette is having a lot of fun with Willard’s European trip.
I think PBO knows everything, And even then, what he doesn’t know, VPB does!!! ESPECIALLY about foreign policy!!
Myth R-money is just pitiful!!
PBO majored in foreign/international policies in undergraduate school, and he is an avid student of history. Romney can go to every nation on the planet, but he will never be able to match PBO in the area of foreign policy. I read something in a copy of “Newsweek” at one of my doctors’ offices recently. The guy that advises the president on Navy Seals operations described PBO as being very smart and possessing the instincts of someone who had spent 35 years in the military. I can’t imagine the guy saying anything like this about Romney.
I remember the reception the President, then Senator, had in his foreign trip….it was insane!….so many people….wow….like a rock star.
You can’t cram for this exam, Willard. You can’t make up for a life of incuriosity in 4 months, fool.
Remember when $arah Payem took the overseas trip? Well that sure turned out to be good news for McCain, didn’t it?
I hope TOD follows him on that trip. I would be curious to see the amount of people who shows up to hear Willard.
That is going to be very very embarrassing for him. Contrast that to PO’s visits before becoming POTUS.
Yeah, poor willard is such a ratfucker. Like rats hold all the gravitas to his lies.
Late to the party, missed appies, oh well. I love your comment. I wonder if he’ll speak to a crowd as per PBO on his trip. ( snark)
Pundits Urge President Obama To Back President Obama’s Proposals 2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/07/pundit… via @TPM— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) July 06, 2012
WTF does that mean???
Must be a flood of “Obama needs to” out there today and the pundits’ solution is basically what Pres.Obama has already been doing.
I’m guessing they must by in shock by the excitement and reactions of the people who they have seen PBO greeting on hes bus tour so they are losing their minds.
The Pundits are Stupid. They just read emails on their Blackberry, but they ate woefully misinformed.
Me thinks, if they were not Pundits, they would be collecting unemployment, apparently they can’t do anything else.
Corporate Media Thugs. That’s what they are!
Woah! Check out the huge crowd that showed up for @BarackObama today in PA. Enthusiasm gap? HA! http://t.co/13VNRpNn— (@utaustinliberal) July 06, 2012
You are ON FIRE today Missy!!!
Chipsticks please free my previous tweets. They’re in moderation. Thanks!
Wow! Just wow!
The President days he is Skinny but Tough!
I turned on my tv to MSNBC because I still think it’s Martin Bashir!…I just heard Krystal Ball said the job numbers are bad for the President and good for Mitt Romney.
We know the cause of the slow recovery, 80,000 new jobs is a lot better than losing jobs…..I’m tired of that black and white narrative.
She is competing with SE Crapp! I guess that means She has gone to the right. I lived her as an analyst, but once these Liberals get their own Show…
She actually said that? OMG, they must enter a reprogramming tank once they sign up for these hideous gigs.
The unemployment figure for college graduates is 4.1%. Little mention of this, but the reason for PBO’s pushing for education. Willard’s only comment on education is that smaller class room size makes no difference. The MSM discussion on every issue is so shallow.
@krystalball1 1~PBO unveils AJA, 2~Repubs ignore AJA=job market deteriorates 3~GOP blames PBO when job#s disappoint. maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/07/…— (@a4alice) July 06, 2012
I just turned on msnbc and caught the end Karnacki saying POTUS will be a 1 term Pres because of today’s jobs report. What a crock.
wow are you serious??
He was comparing him to GHW Bush. Except the situation was so much different, the Unemployment rate went way up on this date during Bush 41′s term. But Steve thinks it’s the same for President Obama.
Nobody knows what the future holds, not even that Karnacki. We shall see November 6th.
is this the same guy that predicted the healthcare bill would be defeated in court?
Actually, he said conventional wisdom would say that because of june jobs report, he should be a one term president BUT, and there was a BUT, he talked about how people still get it that the problems caused by the economic devastation in 2008 was Bush’s fault, not PBO, and that the President is personally VERY popular, so he thought that PBO has the edge here, not conventional wisdom. That’s what I heard.

RT @BuzzFeedBen: Here's Obama with restaurant owner Ann Harris just before she died. She was "ecstatic" to meet him. buzzfeed.com/buzzfeedpoliti…— (@emokidsloveme) July 06, 2012
omigosh—-this is horrible news—just noticed on twitter—–the owner of the Akron restaurant died an hour after serving PBO breakfast this a.m.
Reporters were shocked when they arrived to get a follow-up interview about the Obama visit—–she had medical problems and said she felt faint and tingly and rushed to hospital where she died. Horrible.
OH NO HOW SAD.
How sad. God be with her family.
Sad. And I can already hear the Republican jokes about it.
Oh my goodness, this is so sad. I know the family will be getting a call from PBO.
How awful for her family and friends to be taken away so suddenly. I hope that this incident brings out the better angels in everyone, rather than cruel and insensitive statements. I can imagine how PBO and his staff must feel about such sad news. My prayers to all those impacted by her passing.
OMG. I was just trying to make sense of gobrooklyn’s post above regarding this. Oh no. I’m so sorry.
Oh dear! How awful!! Deepest condolences to the family, who must be devastated right now.
Now these are the kind of photo’s that I was talking about. I do not believe Willard will come anywhere near this kind of enthusiasm at anytime during this campaign. That means we’ll win by at least 10%. GO PBO!!!
McCain and Palin criticized PBO for having 100,000 hear him speak in Berlin during the 2008 election. Can’t wait to see how many turn out for Willard.
The Restaurant where PBO had stopped this Morning for breakfast. The Owner, a 70 year old who was hugged by the president, just a few hours afterwards, she was feeling fatigued and was rushed to the hospital. She unfortunately was pronounced dead at 11:18am per TPM, just mins ago. How sad for that lady and her family. This happened in OH.
This is very sad news. I hope the MSM doesn’t try to spin it irresponsibly.
6500 people showed up to hear @BarackObama speak in PA today, despite the 100 degree weather. Enthusiasm gap? HA! http://t.co/YkLUlNj6— (@utaustinliberal) July 06, 2012
Here is a 360 degree panoramic view of the 6500 people who attended @BarackObama's event in PA. Wow! 360.io/4jEemz— (@utaustinliberal) July 06, 2012
Amazing photo. We know that it is something special about PBO for 6500 people to stand and hear him speak in 100 degree heat.
I want to see Pittiful’s audience. That is the subject of my media bomb from now until they show them. I don’t care if they try to count empty seats for PBO, cause we can see who’s in attendance. I want to see for myself who’s in attendance at Pittiful’s speeches. I want the world to see and compare for themselves the diversity, the enthusiasm, and who’s ‘winning’. Numbers and stats and polls give one story, but I’d rather believe my lying eyes.
Well…there were 200 at the Jindal Pawlenty event down the road from this one today.
Martin Bashir’s people called Jindal’s office and asked why wasn’t he in LA working on their horrible problems. They did not know.
[OT] apologies for getting completely distracted…..
so…. uhm…… yeah…..
I…… uh…….. need a drink.
But my Aidan Turner (Kili in the movie) — Gasp! Swoon!

I can understand to a certain degree that you can lose your objectivity when a family member is a racist RWNJ, in Brad Pitt’s case, both parents….but the comment he made about his mother in January is not quite accurate lets say.
In January, Pitt said of his mother: ‘She’s very, very loving — very open, genuine. There’s not an ounce of malice in her. She wants everyone to be happy.’
I read her vile letter urging Christians to vote for Romney…., she called the President , Barack Hussein Obama………when you use the President’s middle name, you are a hateful racist…there’s no way around it….
She mentioned Rev. Wright, baby killing, SSM……anyway, the typical crazy RWers….oh yes, she’s a ”Christian”.
Yes she’s very open and she wants everyone to be happy, yep…..well unless you’re black, poor or middle class, a woman, gay, etc….
She’s relevant. NOT
It was trending earlier……relevant to the Foxbots …..
Exactly. So not relevant. Who cares?
Not that I care one way what Brad Pitt’s Mom thinks, but I thought Think Progress reported that she didn’t write that op-ed.
Editor’s note: To clear up earlier confusion, the News-Leader has verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.
They must love AJ’s father …..so much hatred and ignorance…
That’s so weird and craaaaaazy considering Brad Pitt, his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, and current partner Angelina Jolie are all of the liberal ideology.
The apple did fall very far from the tree and that’s a good thing.
Exactly why I posted it…..I hope they don’t talk politics lol….
She actually sounds a bit crazy.
which is a good thing to notice: rwnj crazies for robme!
Romney’s favorite website
Romney keeps saying he has no plan. Obama has been pushing a bill for nearly a year called the American Jobs Act.— Benjy Sarlin (@BenjySarlin) July 06, 2012
Okay what is Mitt Romney plan for creating jobs? I am not trying to be funny, or nasty, or whatever, I just want to know what is Mitt Romney’s plan?
Please enlighten me if anyone know of a plan.
Cut taxes, though they are the lowest they have been in 60 years, repeal Dodd-Frank, though the bank scandals are as bad as ever, and increase military spending. And of course, repeal ACA with all the disastrous results for millions of people. I almost forgot, he is going to build the Keystone pipeline with his own hands.
Also, he probably believes that Constitutional Amendments to ban abortion and to ban gay marriage will improve the economy.
Okay, thanks Bill.
Pretty amazing video of Christie bullying yet another private citizen when he doesn’t like their questions. Must see to believe
HOW, please someone, anyone, tell me HOW these people get elected? Answer, please!!!!!!

Make it him or Bachmann and we’ll have months of rapturous laughter between now and Nov 6th.
Hey folks. First I wanted to thank those who commented on my LTE on the last thread. I will be sending it out and will let you know if and when it is published. The paper will publish it on their website (if they choose to do so) which will allow comments. WIll be interesting to read them.
I will not be around much this weekend. Some big familiy doings including seeing my grandchildren for the first time in several months, adn then was only a short visit.. Sorry, but they are a higher priority then TOD.
You don’t need to apologize for going to see your grandkids:) Family comes first. Always! I suggest that you send that personally to Deadbeat Joe…in case the LTE doesn’t get published…you get to say your piece

This is what I wrote about this morning…important to see the difference
The Supreme Court did not label the individual mandate itself as being a tax. It upheld a use of the power to tax as a way to impose the penalty. Tax law has many provisions to spur or deter conduct. The court found that the penalty is of that nature: It discourages forgoing insurance.
That is what I keep telling people…..a ” penalty ” falls under the taxing authority…..
Anyone in business knows this….especially if they pay their taxes late….and are charged interest and ….wait for it…. a ” penalty ” … I have first hand knowledge of this..:-(
Correct. So calling this a tax increase is an outright lie. They heard the word “tax” and stopped there…not explaining to their ignorant followers that this is where the authority comes from to impose the penalty.
Chips, everyone … this is really good ….

Here is a good explanation of the jobs report-
I've waited years for someone to summarize this story as @SaraRobinson has. All you have to do is read it: j.mp/MFassE #p2— Shoq Value (@Shoq) July 06, 2012
Thank for bringing this here. It was an enlightening article and the writer nails the difference between the two types of elites to a T. As I was reading, I kept saying OMG…she’s right. OMG…she’s right! She broke it down to the bare bones. The Southern type of elite is doing everything it can to re-fight the Civil War, but this time they couch it as “real American conservative ideals.” It’s not about equality, noblesse oblige, fairness, equity, a sense of community and justice for all, it’s about them being allowed free reign to ruin lives, call the shots, produce an uneducated electorate, engender subservience and a new slave culture.
I read this two days ago on AlterNet, and my husband sent it to some friends. That article explained the disconnect I’ve felt ever since we’ve lived in Oklahoma…40 years now! We moved here from California, and I had lived in Illinois, andMassachusetts also. Everything here is patriarchal and hierarchical. The person on top is always right. Mr. Big runs things. True democracy is very hard. This article is frightening. Yes, the slaveowner descendants want their power back. They do not understand that a rising tide lifts all boats. Everything is a zero sum game: If you move up, I lose, and I don’t want to lose. It is very disconcerting to those from the north or the west.
My New England egalitarian ancestors just would not understand this attitude at all, and I don’t either.
There are so many private schools, and military schools in the south which draw from the strength of good public schools like I was used to in Illinois and California. I hope this article makes the rounds and begins to awaken people. We cannot allow this group to take over again!
‘…produce an uneducated electorate, engender subservience and a new slave culture.’
this is the logical outcome of rethug policies. and that’s why it’s essential that we keep asking those questions:
so, if there’s no healthcare, and no jobs, and no social supports, and no schooling, and no police, and no public services, then what is america going to look like?
it’s a vision we’re voting for, and a plan to get there. the rethugs don’t talk about their plan, because they don’t want to talk about their vision.
Spot on! Thanks for sharing this. I’m forwarding it to people right now!
Right before the Speech, MSNBainC said their are a couple hundred People in the Crowd.
Joseph Goebel would be proud.
The media lies their asses off, luckily, nobody is watching.
Could they have talking about the Pawlenty/Jindal event that was close by ? That estimate was 200.
Nope, my Mother said that they had Kristen WELKER explain it!
Maybe they should be on the receiving end of the panoramic view of thousands. Jerks
This new show The Cycle on MSNBC has gotten a lot of grief around here. Why when it is a show that is trying for a demographic that doesn’t include us. They’re just not that into us. They are after a younger audience and their approach is much more lighthearted than most shows of this nature. I can’t believe that there are no, not one, TV host that measures up around here.
Before they announced that she would be co-hosting, you’d have thought that Kystal Ball was the last person left in TV-land that could save the MSM. Today, because she said the numbers aren’t good for PBO, but good for Mittens, she’s a traitor. Think about it, the numbers are not good politically for PBO. We may not want to hear that, but it’s true. Yesterday, everyone was banking on the numbers that the ADP put out, ready to pop the cork in celebration. Well, we can’t have it both ways. We should acknowledge for what it is and move on. Get folks to the polls, donate, write letters to your local editor and media outlets, bypass cable, and stop turning on known PBO defenders.
I’ve asked my #2 to tune in to this show, cause at her age, they come closest to reflecting her way of thinking on TV. She can relate to the young people who host. I’m glad that MSNBC is making room for fresh blood and not keep re-hiring all the old fogies out there. I tell her don’t be so set in her way of thinking, that she can’t handle a different point of view. I always tell her to listen to the political opposition and get out of the echo chamber that only reverberates what you want to hear. Gain knowledge so that you can speak intelligently to overcome their objections. She can’t do that, if she pretends that other points of view don’t exist.
How are those numbers good for Romney ? Did he create those jobs? My guess is those 80k are happy with this President……
We are not Losing jobs..!!!!
I think the Media is exaggerating the jobs numbers, which helps Robney.
And their is no context, what is His Plan? Why has Congress done nothing to spur Growth, etc?
And the demographics are a lot older during the Day, because they are Home!
I just read Debz’s comment
”I just turned on msnbc and caught the end Karnacki saying POTUS will be a 1 term Pres because of today’s jobs report. What a crock.”
Yes thank god for The Cycle.
Instead of always jumping on the narrative that it’s bad news for the President, why not tell the truth and explain why the recovering slowed down since they took back the House.
They have Producers! Those Producers are paid by upper management at Comcast.
Comcast would love a Robney win, tax cuts for them is like X-Mas!
A tweet from LP to Steve Kornacki
@stevekornacki “Ghastly” jobs rpt? You media need to stop with your hyped up doom & gloom. Enough of u trying to drive what we think.
I replied to liberal phenom’s tweet with links to articles pushing back at Steve! so there!
As JM Ashby said on twitter if the last jobs report hasn’t destroyed Obama’s chances why would this one do it?
I watched the entire segment, not the end, and explained upthread, that he didn’t stop there. He actually gave some great points after he said that about how PBO still has the advantage. I didn’t see the entire show, but may watch it when I can.
Who on here called Krystal Ball a traitor? Who is this everyone that was banking on ADP? As far as I know everyone here was hesitant about ADP’s numbers.
The objection to The Cycle has nothing to do with their age or showing a different point of view. We are tired of hearing lies being presented as a different point of view. It’s not. Its a lie and should not be presented to the public as anything else.
Especially, when every channel has the same doom talking points.
Did you or any of you who bashed what she said actually hear her on the show today? I did and she gave a stat and an opinion that politcally it was bad for PBO and good for Mitts. Sorry, but that is true. It certainly doesn’t rise to the level of what was written upthread. Some were warning that the ADP numbers may not reflect the actual job numbers, but there was an anticipation that the numbers would hold. We all would have liked it to be so. Had that happened, then the universe would be back in place instead of hurling toward certain doom because of the real numbers or what someone said on the TV. I didn’t hear any lies on that show today. A lie is willfully misstating a fact. No one who saw that show can tell me where that happened. I really don’t know what the objection to The Cycle is to be honest, cause it changes from day to day. All I’m saying is that we should not come here with parsed statements to be read by others who didn’t have the opportunity to hear it for themselves. If we’re going to repeat what was said, then it should be objective and in its entire context. Were there opinions and omissions, yes. Could the narrative been more to our liking, you betcha. Either way opinions are like assholes, everybody has one….including those who get paid to state them.
BTW, age does make a difference in world view and opinion forming. If not, then folks would never gain wisdom on their own. I still think this is a good reflective group of younger people on any political show right now. They’re not perfect, but I like their vibe and chemistry. They will appeal to a younger audience who may otherwise remain disengaged from politics altogether.
I did not call Krystal a liar. I was referring to the general objection that people have to The Cycle since it was announced. Maybe you haven’t heard of S.E. Cupp’s reputation of lying and just spreading GOP talking points but many people are. It has nothing to do with age but we are tired of news networks throwing people like S.E. in our faces and saying its another point of view. Its not.
I have nothing against Krystal. I did not bash her. I didn’t see any of that but if a few did its not a reflection of everyone here. You like The Cycle, that’s fine. Others don’t and that’s fine too. They can express that. I just want to point out that pundits also predicted doom for Obama after the June report but he’s still kicking ass. After watching so many pundits get it so wrong, I can’t blame others for rolling their eyes at the latest ‘Obama Is Doooomed” narrative.
Romney said his plan to boost the job sector involves “building the Keystone pipeline,” “opening up new markets for American trade, particularly in Latin America,” and “bringing our tax rates down.”
That is WEAK!
Keystone does not create jobs……why does he keep saying that ?
For donations from the oil companies!!
Cause he is a liar, that’s why he keep saying that.
My e-mail to MSNBC on Kristen Welker
It has become obvious that Kristen Welker would prefer to be covering Mitt Romney…
She never fails to through a dig at the President and give praise to Romeny.
Maybe you should transfer her to Mitt’s campaign.
We are kind of sick of her bias..especially when she stands right outside the White House and does it.
BTW….No…President Obama WAS NOT DEFENSIVE TODAY ABOUT THE JOBS NUMBERS !!!!!

That’s how to do it. I didn’t hear her today, but when I do, I’ll gladly join you with a follow up memo. I didn’t see him being defensive at all. He was forth right as always.
Thank you veterans! http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/07/06/12584879-veterans-excel-on-another-front-fighting-forest-fires?lite
My Mother Said MSNBainC cut the President off in mid speech, saying– he is just saying the same thing he did earlier.
You know, during the Day, MSNBainC is worse then CNN and Foxx. Way far right!
There, I said it!
That’s why I watch it on CSPAN and make up my own mind. No endless GOP talking points. Also, there were great interviews at the end of his Pittsburg speech that were awesome!
What a sick bully, no class…..what is wrong with this man?
Gov. Christie (R-NJ) was hangin’ with his family in Seaside Heights … and had just ordered an ice cream cone when a passerby fired off some snide comments about Christie’s policy on education.
Christie got PISSED — and while clutching his cone, shouted back at the guy, “You’re a real big shot … you’re a real big shot shootin’ your mouth off.”
The man shouted back, “Nah, just take care of the teachers!”
The comment only enflamed Christie … who aggresively marched towards the guy and warned, “Keep walkin’ away … really good … keep walkin’.”
Soon after, someone in Christie’s party put his arm around the 49-year-old and escorted him in the other direction.
New post everyone:
Robney has started Debate Prep. Already?
He can “prep” all he wants. He’ll be TOAST!
OT. Does any one know who the guy is that’s running against Eric Cantor? I understand he’s a vet and lawyer.
His last name is Powell. He has appeared on Current now 2X with Stephanie Miller and he was on MSNBC earlier this week. He has a son in the military now. I wish him well.
We should talk him up. I don’t like Cantor at all.
