    Another wonderful surprise in ACA

“Tucked away in the act is a pilot program for 10,000 people called the Independence At Home program. This is a technique first developed by the Veterans Administration — motto: Single-Payer Works! Just Ask Us! — by which a patient with a chronic disease, like Alzheimer’s, is treated in his or her own home by a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, geriatric pharmacists, and any other health professional whose specialty is required. This is not only cost-efficient, being infinitely cheaper than hospitals and nursing homes, but it is a comfort for the patients and their families, for whom familiar surroundings can be essential for psychological well-being. (Thrusting an Alzheimer’s patient suddenly into a hospital is just asking for a track meet down the halls.) The program also recognizes the reality that a huge percentage of Medicare patients are suffering from two or three chronic conditions at the same time — Alzheimer’s patients have heart disease, people with Parkinson’s also have diabetes, etc”

Barack Obama the greatest president in my generation. Although I’m not that old really, mostly grew up in the 80s so under two republican terms before Clinton came. I admit that I loved Clinton as a kid and was a big supporter of his but not to the same degree as I am with president Obama.

It also baffles me when I hear about Obama’s white voter problem seeing that I myself am white.

The jobs numbers aren’t great but what do you expect when you have a bunch of nut baggers in the house?

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/post/romneys-taxing-twist-on-health-care-mandate/2012/07/05/gJQAeyAZPW_blog.html

Romney will accept his party’s nomination for president in Tampa in 55 days. That’s nearly eight weeks to convince conservatives he can be trusted. But at the rate things are going, I’m convinced there’s not enough time in the world to make that happen.

    Romney, meet painted corner!

    Interesting. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2012_07/romneys_ceiling038386.php

Tying together several strands of analysis I’ve been pursuing recently, here is the dialectic that will place a ceiling on Mitt Romney’s level of support during the general election:

Could pose a problem…telling America what HE would do, while trying desperately to keep the conservative base trusting him…..good luck with that, jackwagon.

    A PERFECTLY LUBRICATED WEATHER VANE

UPDATE 1-Obama chides Romney for flip-flopping on healthcare

    ———————————-

(Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama accused Republican rival Mitt Romney of kowtowing to conservatives when he changed his position on what to call the healthcare reform provision that requires people to buy insurance.

Obama said Romney had defended the “individual mandate” as a penalty when he backed it as part of healthcare reform in Massachusetts as governor, but changed his tune on the national healthcare law after criticism from fellow Republicans.
    .
    .
“The fact that a whole bunch of Republicans in Washington suddenly said this is a tax – for six years, he said it wasn’t, and now he suddenly reversed himself,” Obama told WLWT television in Cincinnati in an interview broadcast Friday.

President Obama Calls Out Mitt Romney And Congress Over Weak Jobs Report

    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/president-obama-calls-out-mitt-romney-and-congress-over-weak-jobs-report/

What the President didn’t say, but what his campaign and advisers surely will, is that aside from global factors that affected June’s jobs report, Republican opposition to the President’s American Jobs Act (which independent estimates say would have created 2 million jobs) and forced budget cuts that have resulted in 700,000 public sector job losses, have contributed to a jobs report that, whaddaya know, politically benefits Mitt Romney and company.

The last part is so important……but of course it’s never mention in the media……

Conservatives excoriated the president for supposedly abusing his power by protecting some illegal immigrants from deportation. But Bush did the same thing.

  31. July 6, 2012 at 1:45 pm

Turns out it’s not just health care where President Barack Obama sounds a lot like Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Ahead of the June unemployment numbers release this morning, the Democratic reserach group American Bridge is circulating video of a press conference Romney gave in 2006 to defend his economic record as governor.

“I came in and the jobs had been just falling, like off a cliff. I came in and they kept falling for 11 months and then we turned around and we’re coming back. And that’s progress,” Romney said. “And if you’re going to suggest to me that somehow the day I got elected – somehow jobs should immediately turn around, why that would be silly.

“It takes a while to get things turned around. We were in a recession, we were losing jobs every months, we’ve turned around,” Romney continued. “We want to keep that going to the extent we can.”

Unlike health care, there are substantive difference between how Obama has managed the economy as president and how Romney managed it as governor. But rhetorically, there’s not much space between Obama ca. 2012 and Romney ca. 2006, and it’s a reminder that much of the debate over the economy is a fight over who gets stuck with blame for conditions a political executive can only partly control.

    http://www.politico.com//blogs/burns-haberman/2012/07/american-bridge-hits-mitts-jobs-rhetoric-128145.html

Sounds exactly the same to me!
