President Obama with nine-month-old Nathan Maxwell Johnson of Youngstown, Ohio
If anyone can find a link to the full speech will you post it in the comments? It was outstanding.

Thank you, Chips:) i just pretend that I’m BEHIND the guy in the red shirt and he’s saying, “Hello, desertflower!!” My President has hit his stride. He looks wonderful out there among the people that matter most. I just could squeeze him.
I think the little baby in that first picture is saying six more years instead of four more. If only sweet heart, if only.
He’s indeed adorable, anniebella — what a happy baby! This is the second one who is so happy to see his president, an especially joyful meeting between two lovely people. Both fathers were proud of their kids reaching out, laughing.
Hey Chipsticks – Nathan Johnson’s mom here. Any chance I can get copies of the pictures you took of Nathan?
Hi Helene, what a gorgeous boy!! Unfortunately I’m not the photographer, but you’ll be able to prints here:
Good morning TOD family & congrats on 1st DF! These photos of PBO with the baby just warms my heart. Gosh, I just love our President.
Here’s a 2008 video Babies for Obama – so cute!

A Supreme Win for Women: The Crucial Benefits of Obamacare
I love seeing him with kids. Kids know a good soul when they see it.
Indeed. If I was his mother, I’d put that little jumper in a frame with a picture from the day. lol
Another wonderful surprise in ACA
“Tucked away in the act is a pilot program for 10,000 people called the Independence At Home program. This is a technique first developed by the Veterans Administration — motto: Single-Payer Works! Just Ask Us! — by which a patient with a chronic disease, like Alzheimer’s, is treated in his or her own home by a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, geriatric pharmacists, and any other health professional whose specialty is required. This is not only cost-efficient, being infinitely cheaper than hospitals and nursing homes, but it is a comfort for the patients and their families, for whom familiar surroundings can be essential for psychological well-being. (Thrusting an Alzheimer’s patient suddenly into a hospital is just asking for a track meet down the halls.) The program also recognizes the reality that a huge percentage of Medicare patients are suffering from two or three chronic conditions at the same time — Alzheimer’s patients have heart disease, people with Parkinson’s also have diabetes, etc”

Great photos again, chips. Man, I wish babies could vote———->Landslide!
I wish babies could TALK..maybe we would listen!
Barack Obama the greatest president in my generation. Although I’m not that old really, mostly grew up in the 80s so under two republican terms before Clinton came. I admit that I loved Clinton as a kid and was a big supporter of his but not to the same degree as I am with president Obama.
It also baffles me when I hear about Obama’s white voter problem seeing that I myself am white.
The jobs numbers aren’t great but what do you expect when you have a bunch of nut baggers in the house?
HAHAHAHA!! Even Romney’s SPOKESPEOPLE are robots now:) This is hilarious
Word for ridiculous word.
Love that this is at abc, even MSM seem to be noticing the pitiful responses
Of course they are, df. They’d have to be..can’t have real people pushing willardrom’s lies. They see where eric ferhenstrom’s veering off into reality got them. F**kers.
Aww! The baby in the first picture want six more years of PBO not four. I counted her little fingers.
Ooh she wants seven more years. I didn’t see the pinky tiny little figure sticking out.
Me4obama, I think that’s a little boy. Granted the prettiest little boy, but unless his parents have a real sense of humor, his name is Nathan.
Hahahaha….the baby is a boy and he is soooooooooooooo delightfully cute!
Me4obama, I said that same thing when I saw that picture.

And, Chips, I had posted the link in the previous thread to the full length Poland OH speech … here it is again ….
Ah brilliant, thanks Bob – had to leave for a while, missed your link.
Oh yikes Bob, I can’t see the link there for the speech??
it’s not up yet, Chips. it keeps saying that the video is unavailable.
It’s there … watched the entire clip … Just click on “Poland OH” under “Video Play List” …
For some reason every time I click on it, it says that the id is “temporarily unavailable” and that I should “try again later.”
No idea, Lisa. Just tried it again and it loads and works, perfectly. On to Pittsburgh — live now!!
It’s under Video Playlist, Chips, “Poland OH” … sorry, should have been clearer … Cheers!
Thanks Bob! As I mention in the new post, WordPress is malfunctioning yet again, I can’t add links (or photos) – when it’s fixed I’ll link to the C-Span video, thanks again Bob.
Happy Friday Everyone!!
THANK YOU DAVID CORN FOR ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTION:
David Corn @DavidCornDC
When Romney says Obama hasn’t proposed anything to boost the economy, why don’t reporters follow-up–or laugh at him?
‘Cause that’s what craven drooling mediawhore$$$$ do.
Babies just love this man. That little pumpkin is simply adorable. Sign that kid up NOW!
Six more years according to the baby!!! I agree with you me4obama
Kinda misleading headline, but it got my attention:
Tyler Perry says Barack Obama helped him kick his alcohol habit

THOUSANDS GATHER AT CMU FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA’S VISIT
President Barack Obama is slated to wrap up a two-day bus tour of Ohio and Pennsylvania at Carnegie Mellon University Friday afternoon.
Thousands are expected to brave the intense heat to listen to President Obama speak. …
Earlier in the day, Republicans had…a counter-rally… About 200 people showed up… http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com
Thanks JER. I love this part…Thousands gather for PBO and “200 people showed up for the counter rally”
Romney will accept his party’s nomination for president in Tampa in 55 days. That’s nearly eight weeks to convince conservatives he can be trusted. But at the rate things are going, I’m convinced there’s not enough time in the world to make that happen.
Romney, meet painted corner!
I'm betting on America – Are You?: barackobama.com/news/entry/dai… #4MOREYEARS #OBAMABIDEN2012 http://t.co/9nu1WJwr— (@a4alice) July 06, 2012
That is one terrific picture!
Tying together several strands of analysis I’ve been pursuing recently, here is the dialectic that will place a ceiling on Mitt Romney’s level of support during the general election:
Could pose a problem…telling America what HE would do, while trying desperately to keep the conservative base trusting him…..good luck with that, jackwagon.
A PERFECTLY LUBRICATED WEATHER VANE
UPDATE 1-Obama chides Romney for flip-flopping on healthcare
(Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama accused Republican rival Mitt Romney of kowtowing to conservatives when he changed his position on what to call the healthcare reform provision that requires people to buy insurance.
Obama said Romney had defended the “individual mandate” as a penalty when he backed it as part of healthcare reform in Massachusetts as governor, but changed his tune on the national healthcare law after criticism from fellow Republicans.
“The fact that a whole bunch of Republicans in Washington suddenly said this is a tax – for six years, he said it wasn’t, and now he suddenly reversed himself,” Obama told WLWT television in Cincinnati in an interview broadcast Friday.

President Obama Calls Out Mitt Romney And Congress Over Weak Jobs Report
What the President didn’t say, but what his campaign and advisers surely will, is that aside from global factors that affected June’s jobs report, Republican opposition to the President’s American Jobs Act (which independent estimates say would have created 2 million jobs) and forced budget cuts that have resulted in 700,000 public sector job losses, have contributed to a jobs report that, whaddaya know, politically benefits Mitt Romney and company.
The last part is so important……but of course it’s never mention in the media……

Like Obama, George W. Bush Let Illegal Immigrants Stay and Work
Conservatives excoriated the president for supposedly abusing his power by protecting some illegal immigrants from deportation. But Bush did the same thing.
CSPAN ONE is televising our President’s Pittsburgh speech from 1:40PM.
By the way CSPAN is has on a Black conservative who is talking a mountain-load of crap.
Thanks HF2. That looks like a pretty big crowd gathered there in Pittsburgh with close to 100 degree weather.
So I’m confused. http://www.businessinsider.com/update-jobs-under-the-first-bush-term-vs-jobs-under-the-first-obama-term-2012-7
Bush, the Republican, had a huge rise of govt jobs….small govt?
PBO had a huge rise of private sector jobs…= socialist ? WOW
Huge crowd in Pittsburgh from the looks of the place…wonder if my nephew is there????
I just read someplace that POTUS is buying cookies for the press from the bakery that Romney trashed. LOL
Here he is Debz:
Thank you, Chips.
LOLOLOL! Damn he’s good.
Heads up everyone:
Steve Scully on C-Span is interviewing people at CMU. Very hot, very supportive. Said running about a half hour late.
Turns out it’s not just health care where President Barack Obama sounds a lot like Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Ahead of the June unemployment numbers release this morning, the Democratic reserach group American Bridge is circulating video of a press conference Romney gave in 2006 to defend his economic record as governor.
“I came in and the jobs had been just falling, like off a cliff. I came in and they kept falling for 11 months and then we turned around and we’re coming back. And that’s progress,” Romney said. “And if you’re going to suggest to me that somehow the day I got elected – somehow jobs should immediately turn around, why that would be silly.
“It takes a while to get things turned around. We were in a recession, we were losing jobs every months, we’ve turned around,” Romney continued. “We want to keep that going to the extent we can.”
Unlike health care, there are substantive difference between how Obama has managed the economy as president and how Romney managed it as governor. But rhetorically, there’s not much space between Obama ca. 2012 and Romney ca. 2006, and it’s a reminder that much of the debate over the economy is a fight over who gets stuck with blame for conditions a political executive can only partly control.
Sounds exactly the same to me!
For nothing more than total amusement…
How Ca-UTE is little baby Nathan!
I love Pic 3 with Nathan . His expression reads . . . . . “why u mad”? As if he knows that HE is getting kissed by POTUS and folks can only dream of being where he is right about now. lolol I love it.
Anyone know who the body man is now?
