**shouts to the room** “Drinks are on Dudette”
Thank you, darlin’. I’ll have a marguerita on the rocks, hold the salt. Should help me fall right to sleep. :-)
Hold up… you said drinks are ON me! Ha ha! In that case, I’ll have a glass of water! :-D
 You still have to pay for my Port!
Fine, as long as I can have a sip! :-)
Awright, you may have a very, very small sip – only because I’m practising how to be kind since the others are watching..
Jack Daniels on the rocks for me then I’m gonna hit the rack.
+Silver for me?
Woohoo! 1-2 Sweep!! :-)
Nice video! Is that yours, Miss Chips?
Tis mine Dudette, you can tell by how crappily edited it is
Not at all. Beautiful work, my dear! The “Forward” logo on black background gave it away.
As Morticia would say: Gasp! You’ve done this before! ;-)
 You, Queen Dudette, crack me up!
You inspire me! :-)
Malia is so cute. “now, now, go Dad.”
I know. She’s such a peach!
The cuteness is off the charts!!
Her reaction was my favorite part of the scene.
Mine as well. So refreshing to see a young teen so comfortable with her parents’ PDA that she actively encourages it. She was so happy. Love, love, love that her parents followed her directions. It seems that they did it to make Malia happy more than anything else. The whole incident is a testament to what a strong, happy, loving family we have in the Obamas. We, of course, have always known this, now, much more of the country does as well.
Wonderful! Just love all around ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I agree with you guys about Malia. When I first saw the Kiss Cam video I thought Malia was embarrass. I mean alot of 14 year old would have been, but Malia was encouraging her parents to go for it. Like seeing them smooch like that was no big deal to her, she was used to it. She like seeing them express their love like that.
To hear these racists ass Republicans try to say that this President is not American, he’s more American than any of them. He is the one who have been fighting to get this country back on the right track, he hasn’t been playing politics like the Republicans has. These Republicans could have help pass bills which would have put Americans back to work, but they refuse too because it would help the President look better. They would let this country go down, let people suffer just to get rid of that black President, that doesn’t sound to American to me. This President have been the one fighting for this country. Then to have that senile old fool, John Sununu say what he did, Sununa was born in Cuba, he’s the one who is not American.
AB, I agree, but I think Sununu just showed himself to be a fool. Only people who are already hate-filled, anti-Obama voters would be influenced by the crazy Sununu. Most others will see a man who has gone off the rails and is a sad reflection of what should be a major national party, but is actual a rump group of racists and billionaires.

U2 – “Bad”
Nice! I love U2!
Tee-hee! Someone should tweet the video of that song to Mittens! Perhaps it would move him to surrender his tax returns.
I was listening to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” song in the car a couple of hours ago, and thought of this smooching by the Obamas – and now… Chips put them together! I always thought I had magical powers or ESP – now, there’s proof!! :)
How about Dan Rather? He kept saying, release the tax returns…
(Release the Kracken)!
Dan Rather has gone right in his old age.
Read a piece on Yahoo (hate that site) about one of the guys in an ad by PrioritiesUSA about Bain Capital and how he thinks PBO is a “pantywaist” who hasn’t done a “damn” thing to help people like him, but he also hates Romney. Makes me so angry at how PBO was prevented from helping him thanks to our Do nothing Republicans in Congress, and NO ONE is really getting that part of the message out other than PBO!
It’s disgusting, ef him, ..ignorant ingrate………….right wing ideology cannot survive in a civilized society if they don’t control the media…it’s impossible.
Never thought about that!…Lawrence: If Mitt picks a VP Friday, my guess is Jeb. And W came out today to function as a live-vaccine to build our tolerance vs Bushitis.
Jeb Bush as VP?…the big surprise…….mmmmmmm
I don’t think the US is ready for another Bush….the world is not ready for another Bush.
I don’t know if you guys saw G Bush’s comments today about his 8 years as President?….
“Eight years was awesome, and I was famous and I was powerful.”
Yea awesome…2 wars, tax cuts for the rich, crashing the economy.
He’s can’t be that clueless…..
G.W. Bush can’t . He is that clueless!!!!!!!!!!
No matter who he picks… we still fight ‘em with the facts — they have no solutions, they’re only interesting in lining the pockets of their rich benefactors on the backs of the poor and middle class and the top of their ticket is a smarmy, soulless crook.
Doubtful. Jeb is smart. If he wants any chance at the presidency in the future, he knows he can’t anchor himself to Romney’s sinking ship. Rarely do losing VP candidates go on to do anything spectacular on the national scene again.
Think about it…
2008: Palin – No chance at the presidency. National laughing stock. Maybe more known now than prior to September, ’08, but she’ll never hold elected office again. Plus, Bush is already made bank, he doesn’t need to the VP slot to boost his speaking engagements.
2004: Edwards – Even before his affair blew up in his face, Edwards was constantly the third-best option behind Obama & Clinton during the ’08 primaries. This despite supposedly being the rising start in the Democratic Party after ’04. Lost his North Carolina seat and could probably never win another election again.
2000: Lieberman – Like Edwards, ran for president four years later. Like Edwards, couldn’t gain much traction. Like Edwards, became a liability for the party.
1996: Jack Kemp – No surprise there, as he was in the twilight of his career by then anyway.
1992: Quayle – That loss killed his career, even though he was an actual sitting VP. No one thinks, “Hey, Quayle would make a good presidential candidate!”
1988: Bentsen – Maybe the lone exception, as his career continued successfully well into the 90s.
1984: Ferraro – She admitted that taking the VP position ruined her politically. In New York, she was a fairly respected congresswoman who shied away from a great deal of controversies. However, after the ’84 campaign, and the number the press did on her image and how they went after her husband, with the IRS, I believe, getting involved, it ruined her politically. She tried to make a comeback in the 90s but failed because her name was just way too toxic.
1980: Mondale – heh, I still don’t know why the Democrats thought it was a good idea to nominate the vice-president to the most disliked Democratic president in history. It was seriously stupid and that stupidity proved itself when Mondale was embarrassed nationally.
So, there you have it. Absolutely no successful VPs going back to 1980. Only two vice presidential nominees who lost have actually gone on to win their party’s nomination – Mondale & Dole. Both lost in landslides. I talked about Mondale. Dole, however, won the GOP Nomination twenty years after losing, along with Ford, in 1976, so, there was enough time to repair his image (and his image took a huge hit in that race because of an awful comment where he laid all the deaths in WWII & Vietnam at the feet of ‘Democrat’ Presidents).
Jeb won’t want to add his name to that list. Plus, Romney is not going to pick someone who will outshine him on the stump, especially when people will constantly comment on how it should be Jeb-Romney & not Romney-Jeb. Something similar happened in ’88 when Dukakis selected Bentsen. Many mocked Dukakis’ pick and said Bentsen should have been the one at the top of the ticket. It hurt him immensely.
The Bentsen example also proves that a vice-president has a very limited ability to affect the outcome of a presidential campaign. Bentzen would have made a good president, but he couldn’t carry a weak candidate at the top of the ticket. Some people may believe that Palin brought McCain down, but he made so many stupid errors on his own that people couldn’t trust his judgment and Miss Sarah was just one more example of that.
If there’s an announcement this early Mitt thinks it will be a ‘game changer’. That eliminates Portman, Pawlenty, etc. It has to be someone of color or ethnicity. It may be Condi. These people literally see nothing wrong with the Bush presidency. Amazing.
Tweet worthy and worth sharing again!
Look what I found:)
Bernanke is really really sounding like a House Tea bagger! He says, please do something about the fiscal cliff, we need the bush tax cuts renewed, Blah blah!
Then, he is all doom and gloom, but he will not do anything.
Barack should shit can his ass! Seriously!
President Barack Obama today will propose a national “teachers corps” to reward the nation’s best educators in science, technology, engineering and math.
Fifty top teachers in those subjects would get $20,000 stipends on top of their base salaries in exchange for a multiyear commitment to the corps, the administration said in a statement. The White House plans to expand the group to 10,000 teachers over four years. The program would be funded initially with $1 billion from the administration’s fiscal year 2013 budget request, which is subject to approval by Congress.
“If America is going to compete for the jobs and industries of tomorrow, we need to make sure our children are getting the best education possible,” Obama said in the statement. “Teachers matter, and great teachers deserve our support.”
As part of his campaign for a second term, Obama is vowing to maintain funding for programs in education and accusing Republicans of supporting a tax and spending agenda that would mean cuts.
The administration also is designating about $100 million from an existing teacher incentive fund to help school districts identify and develop teachers of the sciences. More than 30 school districts have signaled their interest in the program. The application deadline is July 27.
What a great idea!
Excellent news! As long as the GOP don’t lay off those teachers in their drive to dumb down the population.
The right wing move to destroy public education is possibly the most under reported story in the country today.

In central Florida, that means knocking on doors in Hispanic neighborhoods with foreclosure rates as high as 30 percent, where once-registered Democrats have been evicted, their homes now owned by the bank. Volunteers walk house-to- house to determine the number of empty homes per precinct, then look for contact information for voters who once lived in them.
“It’s almost like playing detective, asking questions,” said Acosta, who is Puerto Rican and one of five campaign volunteers selected to join governors, senators and other officials serving as national co-chairs of the Obama campaign. “We take one door at a time, one person at a time.”
As Obama confronts a housing crisis that he’s acknowledged underestimating, his campaign is facing a different kind of foreclosure problem on the streets of Florida and other battleground states, where evictions have left holes in its voter lists. Volunteers like Acosta are central to the campaign’s effort to populate its databases with current addresses and working phone numbers to get out the vote.

Why does Romney even bother? New from the team today
What does it say about Willard’s campaign that Sununu, one of his top spoksmen, is 73 years of age and was kicked out of government service over 20 years ago for using government travel for personal use?
Thank God for Carl Bernstein. Money quote from Morning Joke: if a Democratic candidate doesn’t show his tax returns he shouldn’t be President, if a Republican candidate doesn’t show his tax returns he shouldn’t be President, get another nominee.
He also said that Mittens tax returns would be a game changer.
Barnicle, I can’t believe it was taking up for the President as Mittens took his words about business out of context. He also said that the Obama campaign has been doing a great job defining Mittens and they are showing he is not like you, meaning he is a rich guy and never had to worry about losing his job or house.
Mika is blasting Mittens, too. And Harold Ford, Jr too, he said not releasing the returns show what kind of President he would be.
So far so good.
Chips…that has got to be front page…I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING
Willard must wake up each morning fearing what PBO’s campaign will be hitting him with that day.
